chickie says "professional baker, I would not have anything else in my kitchen" about KitchenAid Stand Mixer

I have 2 of these babies, a 4 1/2 qt and a 5 qt. Both of them are little workhorses, that I use daily in my bakery. I did have another 4 1/2 qt, but I fried it after many years of faithful service.

I like the larger one better because of the bowl lift, the tilt head one can smash your fingers in low cabinets, and I find it harder to clean.

Not only do I make plenty of batters, doughs and icing in them, but I also have the attachment for shredding (carrots for carrot cake) and I often make them pull double duty in my home - the attachment that strains the skin and seeds of tomatoes is a must have for anyone that cans.

Only drawback - they are really loud. I don't notice it at work, but when I use them at home I can't hear anything
...

chickie says "My floors finally look good" about Swiffer WetJet®

I hate to mop - HATE IT. This is a perfect product for people like me.

If it wasn't for this, I would have to replace my floors every year, because I just will not mop, and that is the only way they would get clean. Everything about mopping is gross - but not anymore! The cleaner smells wonderful, and the all-purpose one works from the tile in my bathroom, straight through the house to the wood floors in my living room.

Best of all, the pad holds all the dirt, and goes in the trash when you are done. I am usually a recycling freak, and generally I don't like to use disposible stuff, but I make an exception for cleaning.

I wish they made the scrubber pad replacable though (if it is, they don't have it at my store) mine is looking pretty nasty
...

chickie says "Even my 7 year old wants to dust!" about Swiffer Duster®

This is so easy, and you don't feel like you are just kicking dust up into the air - it stays on the duster

Everything looks so nice now - I can't remember the last time I duster before getting this. My husband, and his allergies, thank me.
...

chickie says "I love my car" about Toyota Matrix - 2005

When I decided to get rid of my cushy, but way too big Eddie Bauer edition Ford Explorer, my husband pointed this out as one of the best options for what I was looking for. I need a good amount of storage area, I wanted something much better on gas, and something reliable.

I had heard of Toyota being notoriously reliable, and I agree totally - I have only had one issue with my car, where the lights would not turn off and drain the battery. They took care of it and it has been problem free ever since.

The storage area is amazing - people can not believe how much I can fit in the back on this car! - plus fold down back seats that lay completely flat (as well as the front passenger seat for really long items). The back window even pops up independant of the hatch, so you have long items extend out. It is great on gas, especially considering the storage availability. Yes, I would have loved a prius, but it just does not have the cargo room. Plus it has a decent sized glove compartment and a...
...

chickie says "not dazzled" about Comcast High Speed ISP

Installation was actually very easy, and the tech was great - he even took the time to feed wires up through an "existing but hard to get to" hole so that he would not have to put a new hole in our wood floor.

We got the bundle deal, and I am thinking of changing to verizon at this point. The download speed is terrible - I feel like I am on dialup most of the time. Plus it constantly goes out - sometimes for seconds, sometimes for minutes or hours.

The price is OK, but I need my internet fast and actually working

...

chickie says "the worst company i have ever dealt with" about Vonage

What a nightmare. I tried to sign up with vonage so that I could keep my phone # when I moved out of state. They told me it would be about 10 days.....then after 10 days they told me it would be another 10....then they sent me a letter saying my info wasn't correct and I had to correct it or it couldn't be moved, so I called and corrected it....another 10 days I get another letter and so on and on and on.

3 months later I have called them 8 different times, sent emails, and I have nothing to show for it but a bill for a phone # I didn't even want. Insult to injury? They charge a disconnect fee and make you send back the router on your own dime, even though they are the ones that failed to deliver on thier promises.

Now I get letters asking me to come back - as if!!!!
...
