checkinout says "for $300 this is a great system" about Samsung - HTP38 Home Theater System

spent a lot of time trying to find a lower cost surround sound system. I found several and a few cheaper but this had the most features for the buk. I only wish the sound would work with the s video jack but its not designed that way for some reason. great for viewing photos and home movies with the usb and audio files as well....

checkinout says "Truly out of the way destination rich with culture and history" about moscow, russia

Red square is of course the main attraction here as well as gorky park, the kremlin, lenins tomb and stalin. Unbelievable architecture. There's an out of the way cemetary with kruschev, tupelov and gorbachevs wife. Much changing and modernization of culture and buildings taking place. If you want to save some money on accomidations try Izmailovo Delta where there is a wonderful open air market with very inexpensive goods. Travel and accomidations are close to 4 times in the summer vs. winter but if you travel in the winter you can get by with less than $1,000 including airfare. Exptrememly helpful to learn a little russian....

checkinout says "wonderful place rich with history" about St. Petersburg, Russia

If you like museums and culture of old russia this is the place. In the summer the sun sets at 3am and rises at 4am so it's definitely a full day. Many very interesting musems from the era of Katherine and Peter and endless musems of art and culture and ww2 memorials from the siege of the nazis. Great city with a wonderful subway and rail system. Petergrov is a must as well as Pushkin which has the summer retreat of Katherine and a room with walls entirely coated with amber. Great architecture in the many basillicas. It's a good idea to learn to speak a little russian but if you stay around the tourist areas there's enough english to get by but you will pay a little more. Found a great little hotel called eurasia that was around $90/nite with free meals....

before buying this tv read several reviews about pixel problems but others that said it was fine so I figured I would take a chance. when i finally got this dellivered sure enough there was a bad pixel but it was towards the bottom corner and decided Id just live with it. for the money $235 it was worth it but I wish it had external speaker jacks. It has headset jacks but I will have to do some creative wiring to use for external speakers....

checkinout says "This pc has great features for the price" about Toshiba Satellite
At first this pc was ok for the value $500 but after I loaded the mcafee virus protection it would slow to a treacherous crwal.. After I spent the 80 bux for a 1 gig memory chip it works great now. I still use the mcafee since it is free but if I ever have to pay for it I will find something different. Definitely a short battery life but if you can deal with this its a great price.
...

checkinout says "This camera has some great features for the price." about Sony - dscw55

after a very little reading I was able to operate all the features easily. I was a little discouraged at first since a had several old style memory sticks that I could no longer use since sony changed their format but was able to find a flash card that would accept any type of memory stick. When using the movie mode the auto focus does not operate very fast and you must use the zoom before operating the movie function but other than that this is a great camera for $180...
