charper312 says "Local Favorite" about Big Island GrillPizza - Hilo, HI

Big Island Pizza is the best pizza I have ever had. The selection is awesome with both classic choices and unique such as the Cajun Queen! The produce is fresh and locally grown and the sauce has great flavors. It's no more expensive than Pizza Hut or Domino's. This is a must try if you are new or visiting the area. All the local people are already regular customers....

charper312 says "Affordable but be cautious" about Ocean Sushi - Hilo, HI

This is primarily a sushi bar with lots of space, however I would only eat here if other places were closed. This places has more cons than pros but here they are:

Pros: affordable, easy to find, huge selection, offers food other than sushi

Cons: lower quality sushi, service is Horrible, wait time can be an hour, not a sanitary place to eat (do take out)

Don't bother trying to call in because 90% of the time they don't answer their phone. They only have 2-3 girls working a night and they are responsible for serving 40 tables, cashiering, hosting, and packaging take out. If your taking out, stop in and order to go. Make sure they acknowledge you are there, otherwise, you could be waiting 20 minutes for them to even take your order.
...

charper312 says "Best Sushi in Hilo" about Nihon - Hilo, HI

Before I moved to Hawaii, the last thing I would ever eat was sushi. Even after arriving to Hilo, I tried another sushi place and I still didn't like sushi. But after I tried Nihon's Sushi Bar, I haven't stopped eating sushi. The staff is so fun and friendly, the fish is fresh (not packaged and frozen like a lot of places), and it is reasonably priced. If you come during a busy season, then you might not get in so call ahead first....

charper312 says "The Best Gift For New Parents" about Netflix

I use to rent a the video store, and even though I was on a rewards program, it was still very expensive. Once I started Netflix over a year ago, I have't been to a video store since. After I had my son last year, I had a lot of others things to remember so trying to take movies back was the least of my priorities. With Netflix, I don't feel pressured to watch the movie as soon as I get it. I watch at my convenience and stick it back in the mailbox when I'm through. The downside is that sometimes it can take weeks to get a new release if its super popular. I just got "Game Plan" in after waiting a month, but it's still worth it. Fast turn around to, usually about 2 days....

charper312 says "Never Own Another Garlic Press But This One" about Pampered Chef Garlic Press

I love cooking with fresh garlic; I love garlic. I have owned quite a few garlic presses but they have either not pressed that well, or they are cheaply made and fall apart. This is the only one I will ever buy. It is so easy to squeeze so its perfect if you have carpal tunnel or arthritis. It is super easy to clean! LOVE THIS, I promise you won't be disappointed in this product.

I must say I am a Pampered Chef Independent Consultant.
...

charper312 says "Must Have for Kitchen" about Pampered Chef Cutting Edge Food Chopper

First I have to say I'm a Pampered Chef Independent Consultant so I may be slightly biased. I love my chopper. It's handy, compact, easy to clean, and affordable. The cons to this, in my opinion, is that it doesn't chopper more than an 1/4 to 1/2 cup of anything at one time, so a large onion would have to be chopped into quarters before putting it in the p.c Food chopper. All in all, though, it is one of the most popular and requested items.
...

charper312 says "Fun, Durable, and Encourages Movement" about LeapFrog Learn and Groove Musical Table

Every baby is into different things. For my son, music grabs his attention. For Christmas, he received this Leapfrog Music Table and it was been awesome. This really encourages him to stand, dance, and sound recognition. It's great fun at night because of the lights. It is a very diverse toy in the sense that it has lights, musical instruments, and learning colors/numbers. I put this on my list of must haves for new moms. I'm a stay-at-home mom and I'm always looking for something that will entertain my son and not drive me crazy in the process. This is your toy!...

charper312 says "Great, but thank goodness for the off switch" about LeapFrog Learn-Along Leap

My mom bought this for my 6 month old son and it took him awhile to really get into it. We have a rule about toys in the house: Never purchase anything that can't be turned off. Don't get me wrong, the toy is fun, easy to understand, and baby loves the sing song voice of the boy speaking the ABCs, but after Leap's button has been pushed two dozen times, and I start having the ABC song play over and over in my dreams, well, I'm glad I can turn the toy off. It is a very durable toy and cleaning is easy. I've had mine for about 7 months. Zia is now 14 months old, and he enjoys playing with this toy a lot more. So I would recommend for a year or older child...

charper312 says "The BEST econimical brand out" about Parents Choice Gentle Formula

Hands down, the best, most affordable brand on the market. I love this brand. Once I was able to move away from the name brand and venture into the "lesser" store brand world, I realized that I had been misinformed. I stood in Walmart with a can of Enfamil, Similac, and Parent's Choice and compared every ingredient. THEY ARE THE SAME! I'm a new mom so I have researched products till my eyeballs bulge. I assumed a name brand was "better" but its the same. Well, not completely, the Parent's Choice is HALF the price. It dissolves just as easily, smells lighter, and my son never acted like he could taste the difference. Now he is 14 months and takes Parent's Choice for Older Babies. He still loves it, and the price is great! Please, don't be afraid to use store brand products, do comparison of ingredients if your concerned that your missing out by not using the Name Brand....

charper312 says "Expensive but Widely Used" about Enfamil Lipil Formula with Iron

If you're ever in a situation where you run out of formula and you are able to find other moms, then this is more likely than not the brand they are using. At first, I did similac but everytime I would ask around to see what others were using, it was 7 out of 10 Enfamil. Could be my location but this is THE most popular brand. I like Enfamil better than Similac because the smell was better and it mixed a lot easier. The cost is still the same but our wholesale store sold the Huge cans for cheap so it was a better bargain. If it was a choice between Enfamil or Similac, go Enfamil!...

charper312 says "Trusted Brand, Other Options Available" about Similac Advance Baby Formula

I started off nursing but after 6 weeks began my son on Similac. Now at $28 a can, I was leery of using it, but he seemed to like it and every mom knows that thatis what really counts. I tried Enfamil and liked the consistency a lot better. The Similac doesn't seem to mix as smoothly as other formulas. There are lots of free samples given out by the hospital and doctors office so the option of getting a lot for free is definitely a bonus. I eventually switched to Parents Choice (Walmart) because it was half the price, mixed better, and my son didn't notice the difference....
