http://www.viewpoints.com/aboutme/cbower Wed, 07 May 2008 17:15:26 GMT Reviews by cbower http://www.viewpoints.com/MediaCom-Cable-TV-review-65364 I stopped subscribing to Mediacom as soon as I had another option.  We live in an area that only has the one cable company - we are at their mercy.  I subscribed to Dish as soon as Mediacoms rates got out of hand.  I never really cared for Mediacom in the first place but had no choice.  Their customer relations people are just awful (on the phone); their actual service people are nice enough but you might wait forever for them to come and fix something.  Prices seemed to go up every other month.  I know it wasn't quite that often but it seemed like it.  I have gotten much better service, reception, programming, etc. with Dish than I ever did from this outfit and for a much better price.... Wed, 16 Jan 2008 04:47:44 GMT http://www.viewpoints.com/Shrek-the-Third-review-d7bd0 cbower 3 http://www.viewpoints.com/Hairspray--21104-review-7c430 I saw the play done by a travelling company.  I enjoyed it so much i immediately wanted to see the movie but had to wait for the DVD as it was no longer showing in theaters.  I watched the DVD with my daughter (40) and my grand daughter (20).  They enjoyed it much more than I did; but they did not see the play.  I'm afraid the play ruined the movie for me as it was much funnier and personally I liked the actors better.  Possibly if I had seen this on the big screen I would have liked it better.  But, that said - it is an enjoyable movie and I would even watch it again.  Younger children might be bored with it but Jr. High schoolers and up will find it very good - well, maybe not boys....
