catteyes says "I've been with them 15 years and they're the best choice!" about Geico

Many years ago I was forced to go bankrupt after being diagnosed with leukemia. (And that is a whole other insurance nightmare) I dropped my insurance at that time, for more than a year. When I was finally in a condition to drive, I found that everyone was now rating you according to your credit score, including my old insurance company. GEICO gave me a choice as to whether I wanted that used; well, gee...I wonder which I chose? Anyway, GEICO's price was much lower than anyone elses and, over the years, when I checked what my cost would be with several other insurances, GEICO remained the cheapest - by a long shot.

But you never really know how good an insurance is until you have to use it. GEICO was very quick, efficient and generous; in addition, I felt like they treated me like a Queen. They made everything as easy as...
...

catteyes says "Customer Service is sporatic; polite, but frequently ineffectual" about T-Mobile

I was quite thrilled with T-Mobile's customer service at first. I had changed over from Qwest which is just awful, so I really appreciated that they were so polite, friendly, and made every effort to help. However, this was my experience in Colorado Springs only, not in Seattle where I moved 6 weeks after getting my phone. I've found that the local staff don't seem to know anything about my phone and quickly decide that it must be sent in for an exchange. After 2 phone exchanges, I accidently found out that there was nothing wrong with the phones; it was operator error - ME. But customer service didn't recognize that, even with a detailed explanation of my actions, and made no efforts to figure it out. It was easier for them to pass the problem on down the line. I was loaned a crappy phone the last time and, after two weeks, found out that no one had gotten around to ordering my replacement phone so I waited again. It cost me about $16 in postage for each new phone - that...
...
