When I first got engaged a friend of mine recommended www.theknot.com . I joined right away! I couldn't believe how much helpful information was on their website. I checked it several times each week from when I first got engaged all the way until after the wedding, which was a year and a 1/2!

You can do anything from look at dresses and hairstyles to keep a checklist. I loved the checklist option. It really kept me on my toes. Each month they will layout what needs to be done and they'll send you email reminders if you haven't marked them off your list!

The knot definitely helped me stay sane during my wedding planning! I'd highly recommend any engaged women to join.

Great site. Lots of information and recommendations.

Planning a wedding is very costly in todays economic times and all brides need this information so they can make an informed decission on weather to plan it them selves or look for a proffessional.

Many find that planning there own wedding is stressful. They want it perfect with no flaws. So they pay a wedding planner thousands of dollars, which could have went to a new home, and the cater messes up the dinner, and the music is not what is should have been. So the brides best day went sour. But .... If she would have done her research she would have found great sites that would have helped her plan her special day. It may have been perfect or it may have rained but having hands on in the first place she would have had the best day of her new life.

We used WedSimple.com to plan our wedding and at first we were just going to use the wedding website tools. They have over tens of designs to choose from in different colors. We chose a blue polkadot design. The website allowed us to upload photos and even music. One of the nice features was the ability to password protect the site, and we gave a password hint about our dogs name!

After we had built our site, we decided to try the planning tools. The planning tools cover everything from your guest list to keeping track of your gifts. We didn't use all the tools but those we found most useful were the guest list, invitations manager and the RSVP tool. Our guests could RSVP through our site, but for those who didn't know how to use a computer (my Mom included!) we were able to RSVP them manually.

Also of note was the customer service. We asked a couple of questions and we got feedback quickly. The site has an F.A.Q. page and a user manual you can download. The manual was a bit big but we...

My amazing daughter got married March 14, 2009 at the most beautiful venue in Las Vegas, Nevada - Emerald at Queensridge 891 S Rampart Bl, Las Vegas, NV 89145 (702) 242-5700.

But while the wedding was completely amazing, it could have been a slight disaster without the miraculous help of www.save-on-crafts.com because when the flowers we ordered to be handmade by an artist back east did not deliver the silk calla lilies, panic can not begin to describe our situation. If you have ever been married or had close family or friends get married, you know what I am talking about.

We had placed an order a month before the wedding for vases and odds and ends for the wedding reception through www.save-on-crafts.com and we were very impressed with the quality and service we received but we were now two weeks from the wedding and had NO FLOWERS!! To the Point

Our son is getting married in June. I had never heard of the Honeyfund. It seems other similar sites exist as well but Honeyfund http://www.honeyfund.com/ has no set up or transaction fees.

A Closer View

Honeyfund is just like any bridal registry except everything on it is honeymoon related. As a gift giver we went to the site which was listed on their website and found their page. I could also have gone to the website directly and typed in a last name.

I was shown a page just as I would at Macy's Bridal Registry, for example it says

Airfare: Then it says 20 (They need 20) and 20 (still need) and then the price with a box showing how many the visitor is buying.

We decided to start with "Canal Boat Tour of Venice" and it is listed as a link so we could see what they would be getting. In reality they don't actually get a canal boat tour of Venice (They get the money) but it's a cute idea.

So I chose the gift above and hit continue and then entered my name, e-mail address and...

COVENANT COOKIES are a gals wedding "Must Have" These fab of a fortune are really undescribable! The flavors I tasted were just like eating an apple pie or lemon pie. It was a neat experience reading a Bible verse oppose to a crappy useless fortune. My goal as a Wedding Planner is to give a very unique experience across the board. Covenant Cookies are as unique as it can get. And who would have thought of a fortune cookie cake??????

Bridal Basics is a website started by a woman in Westchester as a hobby. She's not in it for the money. She just gets a kick out of getting orders for wedding items. She's picked out a nice selection and has good prices. Good way of keeping wedding costs down.

WeddingWire is a relatively new site to the wedding market with several different features. Let me begin by saying that I do advertise on this website for my business.

The first feature that this site offers that is worth noting is the design. A LOT of the wedding websites out there are hard to navigate and suffer from what I call 'sensory overload" (i.e. to much information thrown at you at once). WeddingWire is easy to navigate and is also pleasing on the eyes.

The second feature that I like is the local vendor feature. Brides can seek out local wedding vendors, in a variety of categories, and learn more about them. They can also review vendors that they've worked with on their wedding and read reviews from former brides. Wedding Wire also gives you free gift certificates for your reviews!

The third feature is their community feature. Unlike other wedding websites, their message boards and "ask" section are easy to navigate and chalk full of activity. It is not "cliquish" or pretentious......
