kid-kansas says "High flying crime/drama that isn't too bad." about Code 11-14

While browsing through the cable guide I ran across one with David James Elliott (Detective Kurt Novak) who used to play Harmon Rabb on the series J.A.G. so I decided to tape it. It also has Nanci Chambers(Det. Andrea McInroy (Lt. Singer from J.A.G and Elliott's real life wife)). Also in the movie are Terri Farrel(Michelle Novack), Stephen Lang (Justin Shaw) along with many more. — — The Plot — — This is a story about a serial killer whom Kurt Novack is chasing, Novack is an FBI Agent and his partner Det. Andrea McInroy just happens to be his real life wife (Nanci Chambers). Anyway as they gather clues the killer Justin Shaw taunts him by phone, demanding he publish the crime scene pictures...This guy is sick...he poses the women and cuts parts of the pictures out. He is smart though and never leaves finger prints at the crime scenes. — — Seven women have lost their lives to this sick maniac when Novack gets a call that the Australian Police have...

My husband made a joke when he saw a commercial for Camp Rocksaying "I know you're going to DVR that!" He thought it was funny, but didn't know I really was going to DVR it. I love Disney and I watch almost every new Disney movie. From the second I saw the commercial for Camp Rock on Disney, I knew they were trying to live up to the same success of High School Musical (HSM). Did they manage? Well, sort of. Read on!! — The Plot — Mitchie is a rocker at heart. She writes her own songs and seems to have a lot of confidence, but you can tell she's shy inside. She is DYING to go to Camp Rock for the summer but her parents can't afford it. Her mom gets lucky and manages to get her into Camp Rock by agreeing to be the camp's cook for the summer. Upon arrival she instantly sees some way cool and way rich girls and is so impressed. Mitchie is psyched! — On the other side of things, Shane Gray is from a...

Some of my favorite childhood memories involve racing -- as often as not informal, spur-of-the-moment events. Ah, the memory of us running as fast as we could over an open prairie lot or sometimes down someone's driveway, not worrying about how we looked or what spectators would think but committing every ounce of strength and energy to a prize which wouldn't amount to much. It is the purity of childhood races that impresses me -- nobody ever won anything but there were no real losers either. — Seeing who could get the farthest the fastest probably constitutes Man's oldest sport. (The second oldest sport: betting on who could get the farthest the fastest.) No matter how mature or sophisticated we become, most of us crave the thrill of racing (or watching it) so it is little wonder that great racing movies have been made. Here are a dozen of my favorites. (Though varied in plot and locale, each of these films contains...

Greatest Characters on TV — According to Me Anyway :) — — Fraiser Crane - This character, played so very well by Kelsey Grammer, is so good that he was the only character in the classic sit-com Cheers to have his own sucessful spinoff show. I loved watching him in both shows. HIs own show, Fraiser, was under head writer Christopher Lloyd who is hilarious himself. He's the classic shrink who's almost as crazy as his patients. The chemistry among his costars on that show is just fun to watch too, especially with Niles who sometimes steals the scenes he's in with his contrastingly subdued but very funny acting. — — Kramer - Of all the crazy characters on the most famous show about nothing, Seinfield, Kramer takes the cake. I'm surprised Richards hasn't parlayed his Kramer into his own show. He's the nutty neighbor every apartment dweller hopes he doesn't have. A trainwreck waiting to happen, but we can't keep from...

I used to tell people I loved John Travolta so much, he's lucky I'm not gay. That's my kind of humor, you either get it or you don't. I will say this, for a dude who got his start in a cheesy 70's sitcom (can you guess which one?), John Travolta has done alright for himself, and by definition, us. He, at first, gained fame as a cheesecake pinup boy. In other words, he was Keanu Reeves before there was a Keanu Reeves, the key difference being Travolta is an actor. "Whoa!. Did I just say that?" Yep. — — Having appeared in some 50 or so movies over the last 30 years, Travolta has proved himself diverse as he has acted, sang, and most famously, danced his way to his current status as one of the most popular actors of our time. His career has had its ups and downs, for sure. He went 9 years without a hit film in the 80's and then another 5 years before jump-starting himself yet again with "Pulp Fiction." If his career were...

George Costanza is the greatest TV character of all time and I I highly recommend you get the Seinfeld box set. Not only is his sense of humor amazing, but he is so immature that basically everything he does is hilarious. — — Take for instance the time he tries to fake out the unemployment service by using a fake company name. I mean come on, that is so damn funny. So anyway I think you should rent these...

I happen to believe that Scooby Doo is the greatest television character ever. I grew up watching Scooby Doo and now my 4 year old son watches it. Normally, I do not allow him to watch anything except for educational shows, but who could say no to Scooby Doo. I am an adult and I can still sit and watch Scooby Doo with my son and I don't get bored. Scooby Doo is a classic and he has been around for ages.
The movie premeried on the Disney Channel tonight. Both my daughters (ages 11 and 13) informed me they must be home by 8:00 because they just had to see this movie. After all Disney has been advertising it for months on end. — I must admit, I didn't sit and watch it with them, however I was in the room for most of it. It's filled with your usual preteen stuff - rich vs. poor, the snobby girls, the heroine who thinks her life isn't great and wants a chance to be someone else, etc. It has a nice selection of music for young teens and most it has a positive message. Of course this is Disney, and in the end it all works out and several lessons are learned. Note: my daughter didn't predict the ending correctly. — Both my girls enjoyed it very much. I'm sure they'll be asking for the cd within the next week. ...
