I love, love, love Redbox! Who's the mastermind behind this?!? What could be more convenient than the minute it takes to choose the dvd I want on my way out of the grocery store, or as I drive by Walgreens, etc? The choices also get rotated enough so there's usually something new when I do stop. You also can go to their site online and see what's available in the machine at your own location! I feel bad for our local video joint, I really do. But this is how business goes. Occasionally we still have had to pay over four times as much at our video store to get a popular new release. But that was our choice to not wait until the Redbox one was returned. I also have received several codes online or from my credit card company for a free rental! I can't even think of a single negative thing to say about it. Fantastic idea-and best of all, affordable in these financially unstable times!

Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen 2-disc set is not only an excellent movie but this set comes with a great bonus features disc with scenes that show the making of the movie and CGI effects. The package also has a hologram on the box that you can acess through the website online. Must have a webcam to use. Its a definite collector's item that needs to be in every transformers buff collection!!! This dvd is NOT a disappointment and a great gift idea!!

Shia LeBouf and Megan Fox return to bring us another actionpacked movie along with Optimus Prime and Bumblebee. Continuing with the storyline from the first movie as they head off to college and end up inthis great action packed and amazing special effects in saving the world from evil domination from the evil decepticons. Wrapped inbetween scenes is some great comedy involving all characters. This is a must see movie for 2009 and a great holiday gift.

We started off with one Redbox in Walmart, so I tried it out and liked. Then I went to their website and searched my zip code for local redbox, now we have like 5 in the area. I usually reserve online while I'm at work and then pick it up on my way home. When you reserve online you can pick a movie then find all the redbox near you that have it in stock! It is awesome! They even have new releases every Tuesday, it is ten times better than going to a regular movie rental store! Also, my sister lives out of town, and she doesn't have to stress out about returning her movies before she comes to visit, she can return them here with no problems! One of the best features is that you can return your dvd to any location!

Two weeks ago I reserved two movies online. When I went to pick them up it gave me two movies of each movie I rented. So I immediately returned one copy of each movie. When I got back in the car I called the one eighthundred number on the dvd box, it took a good...

The secret life of bees is such a really really really really good movie. I have seen my share of movies. but this movies is good. If you want to see a movie with a good story and tear jerking moments this is the movie to watch. if you looking for a lot of action this is not for you. this movie have funny moments teary eye moments and smiling holding heart moments. i would watch this movie every week. it can and will give you a better understanding of a lot of things in life. it gives you a good story about a girl and her mother her life and her father. it gives you a good story about the people who took her in. this movie is a must see for yourself to get a better understanding. i don't want to give it away from those who haven't sen it. but i will say that my husband had tears in his eyes and he is a macho man. this a movie that i would say couples will have a good time watching. this movie will have you snugged up on the couch or i the bed with a box of tissue and some...

Great old time horror, supernatural movie without the blood and gore this genre has degenerated into. This is definitely the type of movie you want to experience in a theater for maximum effect, however, this reviewer watched the DVD version and can verify it still is great movie to put in your rental queue. The opening scene with the cursed kid might be a little intense for 10 yr olds, however the rest of the movie is mostly just suspense, surprise, loud noises, hallucinations, and good old fashion scary stuff. Alison Lohman in her role as the super ambitious bank loan officer employee Christine, who gets cursed in the line of duty, is fairly good - she has the sweet innocent look. I loved the rainy scene in the cemetery, where she's wallowing in the mud trying to get out of a dug up grave. Justin Long, as her boyfriend Clay, is pretty much talent wasted in his minor role in this horror movie (see Jeepers Creepers) - although he does get to give his patented horrified look in the last...

This movie fails to deliver on most every count. As a romance, it fails since there is no chemistry between Anne Hathaway and Patrick Wilson. As a supernatural thriller it fails because there's nothing spooky or even thrilling about the plot - the movie story leads you down an erroneously path, when it's fairly obvious that's not what the movie is about. The big "payoff" at the end is really not much of a surprise. The movie pace is excruciatingly slow, as the supposed mystery is playing out. Anne Hathaway is either a terrible actress, or is just so miscast in the therapist role it appears that way. Patrick Wilson comes off as some sort of unpredictable nut case, not any kind of believable character in the story context. Most of the other supporting actors - David Morse, Dianne Wiest, and Cle DuVall in particular - did have good performances and carried the movie for me. The plane crash special effects were laughable, and most of the cinematography pretty ordinary. And the soundtrack music...

The greatest stories are often the ones that make us question our preconceived notions...I was never a fan of Mike Tyson. I never liked his cocky demeanor, or how increasingly aggressive he became (it's one thing to fight for a living, it's another to be a bully ), and like most everyone else, I looked at his downfall as sad, but not wholly undeserved. But halfway through this film, I found myself having turned around almost completely. Not to say that this documentary presents him in a particularly flattering light; in fact for much of the film, Tyson himself lays bare all of his worst moments, in a sort of matter-of-fact way that shows a man in his 40's who has spent alot of time coming to terms with the sins of his youth. The film is bare-bones; in essense it is just Tyson himself, sitting in an sofa chair, going through the major events of his life, sparringly intercut with clips for matches, previous interviews, and news footage. Ocassionally there is the use psuedo-poetic voiceovers...

Pretty much a hilarious Indie Comedy that spoofs a whole lot of other movies. Reece Thompson (a young Tom Cruise look alike) plays Funke, High School newspaper writer turned detective, who idolizes Woodward and Bernstein, and is solving the mystery of the missing SAT exams - both who stole them and why. I thought the reason for the theft was pretty clever. Thompson brings just the right amount of geekness to the role, as he investigates the crime, bumbling into one lead after another. Mischa Barton as Francesca, hottest girl on campus, looks good but shows little acting skill. Bruce Willis, as Principal Kirkpatrick, fresh from leading troops in the Mideast, is just hilarious - a true nut case who carries every scene he's in. There's a whole collection of other quite unique characters you meet in this movie's convoluted plot - and almost all of them are really well cast with actors delivering great performances. The script has wonderful one liners, sometimes delivered so fast you miss them....

WHAT HAPPENS TO A SLIGHTLY NERDY GUY who by happenchance comes upon some great pot and a diminished expectation for his future? Well, I'll tell you...he takes a lousy summer carnie job at the local amusement park and changes his life! Adventureland has a realist feel to it that had me doubting (only at first) whether I would enjoy it. There's an awkwardness to James that's painful to watch and a Michael Cera vulnerability that makes you want to look away as he endures one humiliation and disappointment after another. Adventureland is a coming of age film that's not likely to surprise you, but more than makes up for the tried-but-true storyline with a heart so large that it's positively overflowing. THERE ARE SEVERAL CHUCKLE MOMENTS THAT ARE WORTH THE WATCH ALONE, BUT THE CAST IS TRULY SMOKING AND A JOY TO WATCH. I quite enjoyed Martin Starr as the nerdy-as-you-get best bud. He is a perfect fit for the role, yet underneath his geeky persona is a Jeff Goldblum inner coolness that suggests...

The only reason I gave this movie 3 stars is because: 1) it is the first of its kind to explore black males perspective about relationships with black women 2) the delivery was different and interesting by first introducing the concept on youtube and asking peoples opinions. So this movie deserves a 3 from an artistic point of view. The other part of me questions the validity of this movie. Black people have all different types of experiences with each other, and it is unfair to lay the issues as one vs the other. there is a gray area which exist. For example, The Haitian man who was the lead character in the story, represented a particular black man not usually observed in the community. Not all black men have jobs that pay well enough for his woman not to work and for him to buy and maintain a home. Not every black man has a degree and the particular independence he has exhibited. in order for this documentary to be valid it needed to show different scenarios. there are some black women...

i love this idea , whoever came up with this is a genius . it's convenient , easy , cheap .yes i wish there were more of these redboxes everywhere but i can deal with this . i can get a movie at 2 am if i want . it's so nice not to have to try and find some card i need to rent a movie . i probably threw it out with the trash. i love the redbox dvd movie rental boxes . it's so nice not to have to run around a big store trying to find something decent to watch , i can look on the internet and reserve the movie i want and just go pick it up . i don't have to deal with all the candy, popcorn , soda and all the other junk i don't need to buy when i go to rent a movie either ! i have been renting older movies that have been out for some time and paying 3.50 each , i don't need the movie for a week i am only watching this once or maybe twice . i would rather pay 1.00 and send it back the next day . i love this company .

Finally!! For those who have followed the Underworld movies since the first one, Rise of the Lycans as satisfying as it gets!

In the original Underworld, I found myself wanting...more. More action, bigger, badder werewolves, more aggressive and tougher vampires - I was a bit disappointed in the weakness of both races. And when Michael became a hybrid between the two, I expected him to be the Ultimate fighter. Wrong. He was tough enough to beat Viktor, but he just didn't look as impressive as I thought he should. I mean, shouldn't he have been like twice the others' size?

And I must admit, the vampires' and werewolves' past was every bit as interesting to me as their present. I'm one of those who feels that the background is essential to telling a story, and the few flashes in the first two movies left me wanting more.

In Rise of the Lycans, I got more! Here we see the start of the feud, fleshing out of the characters' stories, several nagging questions answered, and bigger,...

I got into Redbox about a year ago when I went into Food World and saw it there. It seemed like an interesting concept, so I eventually ordered a movie and had it sent back the next day. No problems, no worries. If you want to catch the latest dvds coming out or what you thought you wouldn't see out, Redbox is the place for you. It's a dollar a day; If you keep it over a day, it's a dollar per day. If you take it out, it confirms to your email that you have it out. If you return it, it sends a confirmation to your email as well that it has been returned. To be honest, Redbox is a simple kiosk that is now dominating the video rental thingie hands down. But the only place it doesn't have beat is our local library where a movie can be had for a dollar a week. you can even sign up online on Redbox to be a part of their community, receive free codes to use to get free movies and get their free or upgrade to a Gold one perhaps. The next big thing! I adore Redbox and now they are even putting them into grocery stores! With today's economy, Redbox is a major hit in my house. We rent atleast 2 times a week from the Redbox. $1.00 per rental compared to $4.99 at other movie rental placed. It is a GREAT price and GREAT movies! Also, rent movies online at the Redbox nearest you to guarantee it's there when you get there! Last month when I called in with a question they have informed me that I have rented 104 movies with them in the past year. I would never have rented that much from any of the other retailers!!

I read the book and just had to see the movie , I wasn`t disappointed , the movie was great, both Husband and I really enjoyed it . We are a fan of Queen Latifah , we have seen all her movies , a bonus in The Secret Life of Bees were the stars, Jennifer Hudson, Dakota Fanning and Alicia Keys , all were excellant in the movie. We have told our friends about this movie and they were skeptical but watched it and they were glad they did . I plan on watching it again , I rent movies and sometimes buy them, this is definately one I want to add to my collection which I quite a few collected already . Good movies nowdays are far and few between, unfortunately , it is so nice to find one like The Secret Life of Bees that hits home with the viewers . I wish there were more movies out that the whole family can watch and have a good feeling afterwards , there is sometimes violence in movies but if the outcome is good , that makes up for it.

Julia Robert's literally lights up any screen. Now there are soooo many Julia Roberts film but what are some of her best pieces of work? Well this reviewer's opinion is Steel Magnolias, Sleeping with the Enemy, Mona Lisa Smile, My Best Friend's Wedding, Step Mom, Pretty Woman, And Runaway Bride. In Pretty Woman and Runaway Bride she is accomanied by a brilliant cast but also with none other than Richard Gere. Their chemistry and charm is to die for. The looks in their eyes say it all. Julia Roberts shines in Pretty Woman and especially with an all star cast in Steel Magnolias. In Steel Magnolias Julia pulls our heart strings and makes us shed tears with her nominated performance as Shelby. Julia and Sally Field are amazing. This is the ultimate mother daughter movie. A mother's love is shown in this movie. Mona Lisa Smile and My Best Frined's Wdding has this quirky girly charm. One is which she teaches at an all girl college as a art history proffessor and the other as the loyal...

My top 15 movies is going to be an interesting subject because when i started this I have no ideas as to which ones I am going to pick. Being a movie addict this could be a very difficult selection but here it goes.....( in no specific order)

"Grease" this is one of our family's all time favorites the combination of music and comedy is a delight for all.

"Mama Mia" this was a very funny interesting film that I immediately fell in love and even my husband enjoys it and watches it over and over. Though the daughter did not care for it....probably because she didn't grow up during the Abba generation as we did.

"Major League" the underdog baseball movie where they win just to spite the new own starring Charlie Sheen and Tom Berenger is always a good one.

"Miss Congeniality" The way Sandra Bullock acts as an FBI agent is classic and taking her from "agent" to "beauty queen" is very entertaining every time.

"7 brides for 7 brothers" this is an old classical musical that is very funny...

This was an excellent movie to watch with the intire family. The strength, determination, struggles, joys, laughter, sorrow, pain, that all these Women endured throughout the entire movies shows what being strong and having faith is all about. Eventhough they had their differences they still reached out to a young girl and her maid to help them, guide them, show them, love them into knowing how to survive in this world no matter what or who stands in your way. I cried when the young man was taken and beaten up for liking a white girl. I am so glad that we have came out of those times. Every American family or anybody should watch this movie it is more of a family movie that will move you into knowing that no matter what you look like there are people out there that are willing to sacifice something in their life just to help you.
