misskarin323 says "Its not what it used to be!!" about Craigslist

The concept of the site is really great, but half the people on there SUCK!!

I first started using Craigslist about 3 1/2 years ago. I unexpectedly gotten pregnant with twin boys, and found craigslist while searching for deals on baby/infant products. I must admit, I was so thankful for finding the site. I have gotten so much stuff that was very gently used for a portion of the store prices. Plus everything was local, so it was very convenient.

Unfortunately, over the years, I have found many poor sellers on CL. A few times when buying toys that looked to be in great condition but were not working, sellers assured me that they just needed new batteries. When I get home and clean them up and go to replace the batteries, I find out that the old batteries exploded!! Which if you don't know, completely ruins the toy beyond fixing. Now, if this had happened once or maybe even twice, I would have given sellers the benefit of the doubt. I mean, how often do you look at the batteries...
...

jennifer122105 says "Myspace isn't that bad if you have common sense..." about MySpace.com

A lot of people have problems with Myspace, but really, it's not that bad of a site. First of all, they have a great technical team, always updating and fixing problems. I rarely have any technical difficulties at this site. I don't believe this is a site for young kids, although they have great applications for people of all ages. Personally, I use the status updates to just let people know whats going on; I use the instant messenger to talk to my friends; I use the search function to find people from my old high school; I use some of the applications including truth box; and much more. I absolutely love posting pictures and commenting on others, and I think that its a great way to keep an online backup of your photos. Besides the personalizing profile being a little difficult to use, and the chain mail i rarely recieve, its a great site. People just need to use their common sense on adding people, or making friends and "meeting up" in real life. Get a life, and meet people...
...

Do you care about animals, the homeless, hungry children, breast cancer patients, and victims of child abuse? Perfect...here's an easy way for you to donate to all those causes in about 30 seconds!

No I'm not some loser 40 year old man. I'm a young, in shape female in her 20s and a college student.

I was horny one afternoon and up for a evening of fun. I had no boyfriend and I had heard about craigslist and figured it was worth a shot. Man was I wrong.

I put out an ad stating that I wanted a student on campus and he must send a picture.

The ad wasn't up for more than a hour before I got at least 10 replies. None from students all from middle aged men that I had no interest in.

Some sent me copy/paste replies that they'd probably already sent to every female in that area. Others didn't send a pic like I had asked and wanted to see a pic of me first to confirm that I was "real"

One in particular kept persisting me even though I told him I wanted a student on campus. He told me that he was in a hotel right next to the campus.
HCWuser says "Deal Dinosaur, illegal coupon usage, and dictatorship" about Hot Coupon World

i am a current HCW member like former members Satileigh and current members ASweetheart (an Administrator moderator at HCW--biased posting starting to happen) and Hoshi (they have reveiws here). I need to share my experience with this audience to give you an informed, balanced opinion.

HCW is very much a social board. There are many social groups and banter among the boards. However, HCW is a deal dinosaur. Members borrow scans and deals from other web sites like Slickdeals, a full cup, hip 2 save, money saving money, etc. If you want to trade coupons, this site is one of many options. If you want the deals, you will miss them all staying on this site. The owners (Julie and Heidi) expect the user to bring the deals; they use members as they are paid to run the site through their advertisement.

The coupon site does support illegal coupon and mail-in-rebate usage. I've seen instances of both on the board and chat rooms. It is only a matter of time before the manufacturers catch on and shut...
...

Alicen3 says "Get in touch with your friends, play fun games, and more!" about Facebook

Facebook. Facebook. FACEBOOK. Sweeping the nation. On Facebook you can find high school friends you haven't heard from in a million years. There are some fun games, and i play two of them myself. Farmville seems to be the most popular, and you own a farm, animals, crops, and more. It requires daily attention, though, and if you are too busy i wouldn't recommend it. However, several adults find time in their schedules to check it.

Facebook. You have a wall that people can post things on. It has a chat system (not the most reliable one, though, in my opinion) and even has a facebook email account. just send a quick email. Like IMing. Pretty fast.

Facebook is safe an free, and I believe it's better than Twitter. If you get an unwelcome friend request just click ignore. the person never knows they were rejected, and if they ask say you only want family on facebook, even if it's not altogehter true. Lots of people are using facebook. And I believe it is perfectly fine for children sixth grade...
...

I have been a member of SOS for several years - though, for the last year, my activity there dwindled and, eventually, stopped, becauase the site and community were no longer what they once were. The original admin/moderation team seemed to lose all control (though, it really seems that in most cases it was given up rather willingly - which only makes it more sad) and, eventually, the animals were running the zoo. The animals, in this case, are a select group of members who have somehow risen to golden status. These members are allowed to blatantly violate multiple parts of the site's TOS with zero reprecussion. In fact, the reprecussions are saved for those who dare to question or point out these violations. One learns fairly quickly who is/is not to be questioned or challenged. At that point your choices are to drink the kool-aid and be assimilated with the other sheeple (who are unable to see truth even when it is laid out in front of them in black and white) or to be smart...
...

I have been a member of Send Earnings for quite a while. I check my email and do their paid to clicks, quizzes, surveys, and a few offers daily. I logged on to send Earning the other day and noticed that you can get a quarter a review through them for this website, Viewpoints. They pay up to five dollars in reviews so twenty reviews, five bucks. You can do as many or as little as you like and still get paid. The beautiful thing is that My Points, another reward website gives you points for posting and or signing up here on Viewpoints as well. If you need to be referred for that website, I would appreciate if you would write me and I will help you out with that. Send Earnings, in my opinion, out of all the get paid to read email, click, and sign up for things is my highest earner and I do multiple sites like this one. They credit quickly and have a fairly low payout threshold. They also pay you to shop on websites like Ebay, Gap, Old Navy, and more!
...

JayPhater says "if you value your privacy" about MilitarySOS

Well, let's see what's new in the world of MSOS.. Lee, (diaper swappers owner) SOLD MSOS to some over seas company. Yeah, he basically flipped it for profit.. and get this, the new owners can't even speak English. I mean REALLY who in the world needs to own a military website when they have NO MILITARY affiliation. Sounds a bit suspicious to me. I no longer post on MSOS because it bothers me that the new owners probably have alterior motives..

now let's move onto the ADMIN there.. WICKED in the most inept person to be running a site. She is a hypocrite and it's really disgusting. There was recent drama involving queen Cocoagoddess, Mpicky, the notorious Jenny Page, Amber, Rain, Songtan Sally, Kris (germanchic), and many others..see Cocoagoddess started a new site and well low and behold they were talking about people from MSOS and taking things from private areas.. the latter being a BANNABLE offense. Oh but see these people are friends with MISS WICKED and they are still allowed to...
...
