RSL95MOM says "Full service, priced for small payrolls. Accruals available!" about COMPUPAY

Compupay offers the full gamut of services, including direct deposits to more than 3 accounts, time off accruals, tax services, that the big guys do, but priced to appeal to smaller payrolls. (ADP has the same services, but is priced to save companies with large payrolls money -- plus Compupay gave us a competitive discount to our previous payroll company, which did not have self-entry and accrual capabilities!)

The only gripes I have with Compupay is that I have to call to have new deductions or payroll codes added, and some of my payroll codes require me to enter $$ (dollar) amounts, rather than hours (specifically Jury Duty and Bereavement).
...

sueb says "ADP is easy to use and always acurate." about ADP

As a Human Resource Manager with over 20 years experience I can say that ADP provides the best payroll services around. The PCPW system is extremely easy to use and always acurate. I process our payroll (for 200 employees in 5 states) from one central location in just a couple of hours on a Monday morning and the payroll, checks, reports, CD's and all, are ready bright and early on Tuesday morning. The reporting package is detailed yet easy to follow. ADP also handles our payroll taxes, both reporting and paying in to the Federal and state agencies. I know ADP is not the cheapest around, but it's worth paying for....

Matt says "Great online payroll provider for a small business" about Sure Payroll

I started using Sure Payroll when we started the business and it has been a great experience. It takes me about 5 minutes every two weeks to do payroll for the company. The customer service has been very good and the price is reasonable. I never even checked to see how much it might be for ADP or any other competing service, but at about $70 a month, it seems very fairly priced. I suppose I could cut the checks myself, but the benefit of having the taxes done automatically is a huge time saver to me.

The forms that you need to fill out to get started are lengthy but I am not sure there is any way around it. The direct deposit works great. I wish they had a feature to automatically send our 401K elections to our provider (Charles Schwab) but they don't yet.

All in all, I have been very pleased and would highly recommend Sure Payroll to a fellow entrepreneur looking to save time and focus on other parts of the business.

...
