I switched from Comcast to WOW a few weeks ago and I wish I would of done it sooner! — I have just as much speed on my internet, and I love the cable programming so much better. I have had amazing customer service when I called for a question I had. — I have twice as many movie channels than I did with Comcast and I pay less! — Great service, very glad I came over to WOW!...

This is a very good cable company. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to get it ALL. The internet and cable is great!(I have verizon phone service). The On Demand channel is awesome. Whenever I want to watch a movie I just go to Starz On Demand and there is a huge list of movies to pick from. Also the menu button makes it easy to find shows and their times that they are on. Recording is great, sometimes I am not home so I just record the show to watch later. The internet is super fast. It takes about 3-4 seconds to load the page. It's just...

Tonight I tried to watch TV on Time Warner Cable. I do not watch much TV. I have two boys and two TVS. Do the math. We're talking cartoons on one TV and sports on the other usually. One kid is off at college, so I can now click in with a window of opporunity, though I am not in the habit at this point. — I'm worn out. I click on the TV. I have to turn it off and on again with some new reprogram. I've had to call about this before. They upgrade at TIme Warner. My box is not smart enough to know this without me doing a reset. With the cost of cable, the box oughta be smarter than that. OK. I got the reset. — I press the menu. Squint. Strain. What is this? I get up out of the chair about 8 feet away to go see what Time Warner has done to the menu. — Well, they have made the menu blue with white letters. How very cool. NOT. There is a reason most media is white with black letters like right here at Viewpoints. The whole idea of text is that you can...

I love Comcast because of their great bundle price and thw speed of the internet they provide. I enjoy the cable television as well but the VOIP!!! Geeze could something worst have been created! — The commercials are filled with lies in my opinion. The comcast phone service I have is constantly cutting in and out, filled with static, and occasionally I hear other people's conversations but it's not just me who hears this but also the people I am talking to. It's so annoying once even a telemarketter commented on how lousy the service was and since I was paying for it, I should know what my money was being spent on and she was trying to sell magazine subscriptions not a new phone service! — So there's my review. Comcast overall is great except for their internet phone service. Don't be fooled either, I've suffered some bad outages and I did lose my telephone connectivity. —...

It's not a coincidence that if you type "Comcast Sucks" into google you get over 200,000 results. Their customer service is generally poor to awful (though occasionally you'll get a nice person who tries to help). Their products are very highly priced, and they take advantage of customers who live in apartments or condos where only one provider (Comcast) is available. The ONLY reason I use Comcast is that my condo complex only has Comcast as a provider, you aren't allowed to mount satellite dishes and the Cable TV is included in my rent. Still, the internet service is only "OK", especially given the price tag! — — If I could give less than 1 star I would. I don't know that the other cable providers are any better, but I'll be going back to DirecTV as soon as I can (even though they weren't fantastic!) —...

I've been waiting to get AT&T's newest bundle, U-verse, since they first came out with it towards the beginning of the year. Before I go any further with this review, I will be honest and mention that my husband is an employee for U-verse and is in fact in management. Yet stating that, I also feel I can be honest about my opinions of the product and the service. — — U-verse combines three services, phone, cable TV, and internet, not only just in one bundle, but also all feeding off the phone line and off of one wireless router connected to your computer. Because of this, it allows everything to inter-connect. To be honest, though, our cable services and satellite services already have this capability. However, it seems that U-verse seems to be utilizing it all in a better way. — — My only hangup with getting U-verse so far was getting people out here to do the work, and again, my husband is in management there. There was a problem with our line that they...

I have been very happy with Time-Warner Cable for many years. I have been a loud and vocal advocate for their service. Now I find myself on the outs with them. I feel like they have become very real enemies of mine. We moved to a new apartment in July. On the 31st of that month the TW tech came out to transfer our service. — While attempting to install the cable modem he realized the outlet in our livingroom was dead. So he connected it in a back bedroom to check his equipment. He then told me he would go the office of the apts. where we live and work out an arrangement to get that ourlet fixed. I signed the work-order, in good faith believing he was still on the job. — He called me back in a few minutes and told me that on the following day, Fri. Aug 1st, a Time-Warner Specialist would be out with a crew from the apts. to make the fix. I took the next day off. No one ever came. It turns out, he never spoke to anyone at that office, and there was no work-order...

I have always been a Time Warner customer and thought that when I moved to Lake Forest that I would be able to transfer my service to my new home. Unfortunately COX cable is now my cable provider. I have never paid so much for little service. At Time Warner I had premium movie channels, 1 HD DVR, and 3 regular DVR plus Internet and my bill was approximately $140-$150 a month. Now that I have to have Cox cable, due to high prices. I soon will be paying $120 a month for 1 HD DVR, 1 regular Box with no DVR, Internet, and no movie channels. I feel that Cox is way overpriced and I hope that someday soon a different cable provider will come to the neighborhood. — Customer Service: When I picked up my boxes at their center I asked the representative if I owed anything. He said NO and that I would be billed next month. When I finally received my bill 1 month later it was $250. I was being charged for 2 months and told I had a very overdue payment. How unfortunate...

I am so tired of Comcast. Honestly, if it isn't one thing it's another. They took over Adelphia. We lost our email addresses, we lost our channels and the good price that Adelphia offered. We now pay $180 for service that used to be $110, and in this economy that is A LOT! Our cable service is always on the fritz or experiencing an outage. How pathetic....

Comcast Cable is the only cable we have which is the only reason I subscribe. There service is good but there is no denying that they are very expensive and the customer service sucks. It literally took me over 1 year of dealing with them to correct an error in my bill. Of course you have to pay the bill upfront in order to not be disconnected. In the space of 3 hours they charged me for watching 12 pay per view movie!!!!!! On top of that the movies were all purchased within 2 and 3 minutes apart!!!! I had to argue with them for close to 1 year and deal with ncustomer service for hours at a time for each call. Eventually my account was credited the entire amount and I assume they finally realized I was not going to just lay down and pay the bill and shut up. Every since then I am sorry but I do not like the company, but as I said they nare the only company we can use....

Comcast cable SUCKS. I have been with comcast for at least a year. I was with time warner cable until comcast took over and comcast is no better than time warner. My digital cable has been nothing but a problem ever since cable went digital. They said that digital would be better, but better for who. My cable scrambles up during movies. I have all the cable chanels that are available through comcast and all my movie channels freeze up in the middle of a movie. My lower channels are fuzzy. Every time that I call and report it they say they need to change the cable boxes which they do and it does not fix the problem or they will say they need to add some device to my cable boxes which they have done and still have the same problem. They have done nothing to fix my problem, but set up an appointment for someone to come out to not fix it again. I am ready to go to some other type of service. They do not care about their customers or their concerns. They want you to pay for...

My only beef with Comcast is that if you don't want digital cable, the price is only $10 cheaper to lose the box. If you're trying to save money and watch less TV, you're still paying a premium for no premium service. In Chicago, it's virtually impossible to get any LOCAL channels in clearly with just a set a rabbit ears. As a renter I don't have the option of considering a dish company of some sort. So until someone invents a better pair of rabbit ears, I'm stuck paying for more channels than I can possible watch in a week - including the stuff on my...

We signed up for Comcast service a couple of years ago -- just about the last house in my city, to get cable, I think! We did a package deal with phone, computer and TV, and it was an OK deal, though a sticker shock to me as a first-time subscriber. Six months later, the honeymoon was over, and the price started to climb. No, we weren't on an intro (reduced) offer, just guaranteed for the 1st 6 months. Every two months or so, our price goes up, and just got a letter that my "basic" phone package is now the semi-delux, so I can pay more or opt for less (I'll go for the less, thanks). In the meantime, I'm really spoiled to cable TV, and to cable broadband internet access. So, guess they've got me over the proverbial barrel. . . — That being said, I do enjoy all the selection I have on the cable TV, and the service has been pretty good the couple of times we've had issues. I like that I can talk to an actual person day or night, and they'll stay on the line till the issue is...
