&lt;p&gt;I live in Atlanta but moved here from Chicago.&#160; Comcast is King in Chicago so I knew them well, including all of the issues.&#160; It wasn't until last year when I moved into an apartment with u-verse options that I decided to&#160;try it out.&#160;&#160;After having service for over a year, I tell you nothing beats the quality.&#160; The picture is so clear that even without an HD model TV you can see the difference.&#160; To see this after being with Comcast was definitely impressive.&#160; Of course, it can't be all good though.&#160; AT&amp;amp;T has no offices/centers so all communication is over the phone.&#160; The level of intelligence of the representatives is a crap shoot.&#160; Some people are able to help you while others are obviously just there to collect a pay check.&#160; This matters, especially in the beginning.&#160; At&amp;amp;T needs at least 4-6 hours to install the&#160;product and there is a lot of tweaking performed to make get the picture quality to such a high level in the first place.&#160; This is difficult...&lt;/p&gt;... </description>

&lt;p&gt;Business practices are becoming devious and untrustworthy. A major contributor to the economic pain and suffering in California is Comcast. They have taken me for hundreds of dollars, which I don't have, over the past 2 years as their customer, and I am not the only one.  My disputes may be over a lot smaller amount than other people's, but when you're eating using the change in your pocket, anything is a lot. Lately, Comcast has been preventing me from paying my bill and at the same time making it very difficult to close out my account.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Every time I pay my bill online there is a new web interface. Their newest interface goes in a circle. Choosing a payment type takes me to the &quot;Billing Information&quot; webpage. Clicking the submit/confirm payment button takes me back to the &quot;Choose a Payment Type&quot; page.  When I called Comcast to ask if they had received my payment that I thought I had just made, they said I would have to wait 3 hours and then call THEM back to check...&lt;/p&gt;... </description>

      <description>&lt;p&gt;TWC is the WORST service! This company monopolizes towns, and this needs to be stopped! Why is it that we, as consumers, have no other choices? I would LOVE to get DirecTV, however, I can not get signal from my home. I am about to cancel Time Warner Cable and watch tv through these new &quot;tv on your pc&quot; websites that charge a set fee.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;I have had TWC for a year now, and during that time, I have had to get the remote, cable box, and internet modem replaced! The prices keep changing. At first, I was told I was going to get a certain discount. WRONG! I called, and after about an hour of repeating myself and being transferred to 4 people, I was told that I would not get any discounts, but the charge for some digital service (which I never asked for!!) would be removed. It took 3 calls to get this done!!&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Also, my internet service was disconnecting nonstop. It was so bad, I called to complain, and they said &quot;sorry, we'll have to get a tech guy out. the soonest appointment is in 2 days.&quot; Ok, so I...&lt;/p&gt;... </description>

      <description>&lt;p&gt;I got FiOS TV service as soon as it became available in my neighborhood about four year ago. A Verizon contractor did the installation in a hurry and reused most of the wiring from my old cable system. He left without giving me any instructions or providing the manuals for the DVR boxes. Customer service was&#160;originally fairly good and they quickly provided the missing manuals and walked me through some of the setup. Customer sevice has been downhill ever since. It became particularly bad after I dropped my Verizon phone service and changed to Vonage. It takes at least 15 minutes to go through many levels of the automated service before you get to talk to someone and they are usually not very helpful.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;We have three High Definition DVR boxes and it would be hard to live without DVR. However, the boxes are unreliable and frequently need refreshing which involves a lengthy call to customer service. Occaisionally they update the software on the boxes to add new features but it usually causes...&lt;/p&gt;... </description>

      <description>&lt;p&gt;Uverse as a new company is totally incompetent. I have been dealing with problems ever since i switched from direct TV. We had to have&#160; a specialty tech come in 5 times to get things working. We have two lines, they lost the number of one of the lines and its been 6 weeks and they still cant find it or repair it (gave me the wrong phone number). They function independently from ATT and they just dont communicate with each other. Every appointment they have made they had to reschedule because they dont get permission from one company to the other. I would think twice before switching to Uverse.&lt;/p&gt;... </description>

      <description>My Boyfriend told me one day we were getting the AT&amp;amp;T UVerse, I had never heard of it, and idnt't really care either way. I have never been one to notice a difference between HDTV's vs. regular. We don't have any HD's but I'm telling you one thing, once you see the your picture quality on a regular TV with UVerse, you will want to go out and get the top of the line HD to go with your amazing picture. My mind was blown the first time i sat down to to use it, I'm still finding new features and tricks that make me fall in love all over. I'm not a tech-savvy kind of girl or even a big TV fan but I will shout on the roof tops for UVerse, if you can get it, GET IT!!

Oh, and our basic internet is faster than the highest speed TimeWarner Cable offered.... </description>

      <description>&lt;p&gt;I have HUGE issues with WOW from the service itself to their policies on when you cancel your service as well. I switched from WOW to Insight on November 9th because of a more competitive pricing package, plus technical issues I was experiencing with WOW Cable (quality of channels, sketchy connection so channels would get all pixelated, as well as some random issue with the guide where the guide would rapidly scroll through channels completely on its own).&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;My biggest issue with WOW is the $1100.00 they charged to my credit card on November 24th (two weeks after I cancelled my service) due to &quot;un-returned&quot; equipment. I had scheduled a service person to come pick up the equipment on November 17th but he did not show up, and within a week they had charged my credit card $1100??? I only had a cable modem and an HD DVR -- I was told that the HD DVR I had was $700 of those charges. Suffice it to say, I returned the equipment myself to the local WOW office, and now I am frantically dealing with...&lt;/p&gt;... </description>

      <description>&lt;p&gt;I've now had Cox for 2 months.&#160; The internet service is OK, although the advertised&#160; high download speeds don't seem much better than the DSL I previously had.&#160; Also, their so-called professional installation fees are absurdly high.&#160; The installer was here for ten minutes, during which he plugged in the modem&#160;and used my bathroom.&#160;The TV service is seriously deficient.&#160; The HDTV channels are good, even though there is a messy and slow process in switching channels.&#160; The problem is with the digital, non-HDTV, channels.&#160; The sports channels, such as ESPNU--not available on HDTV--come across as a complete blur when action takes place.&#160; And I'm watching on a 46-inch Sony Bravia.&#160;&#160;&#160; For the sports fan, Cox is really a disaster.&#160; Non-HDTV channels are unwatchable, and sports channels offered by DirecTV (Fox Sports, Big Ten, Mountain) not available on Cox.&#160; I've been informed FIOS is coming to my condo, so I'll soon be bidding adieu to CoX&lt;/p&gt;

I called customer service to try to down grade my service to make it affordable. The woman I spoke to was rude and acted like I was taking money from her. I told my husband and he said if they treat you like that don't do business with them. I went on line to get my service switched back to AT&amp;amp;T and Directv.&#160; The next day Comcast turned off my internet. I called them to find out what the problem was. They said I made changes to my account so they &quot;put my modem to sleep&quot;. I asked them to wake it up. I called every day&#160;for&#160;about 10 days but they never turned it back on. After all my services were switched they called to say they were still working on the problem!! I had already paid for the month because you must pay in advance.       <description>&lt;p&gt;its a shame cox sucks, but they all do! As americancs we should be used to third or forth rate service! We have asked for it for over a century, so I guess we have nothing to complain about. As far as Cox Sucking, we have the &quot;fastest&quot; internet package available for Meriden Connecticut, Meriden is a city but it is full of unemployed people, so what should we expect, a higher than average bill for somewhat average service, it is fast, it is as fast as Comcast, difference is the price, if you are Tech savy, get a T1, if you can afford it, and if you live in an area that Cox Serves, try to save for a T1, if not the fastest Cox has is alright, we have 5 phone lines running on it, and three pcs, a ps3, and two cable boxes, never misses anything, my only real complaint is&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;1. CUSTOMER SERVICE,&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;typical customer service for American based Corp&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;2.&lt;/p&gt;

      <description>&lt;p&gt;We recently switched from AT&amp;amp;T Uverse to Comcast triple play for phone, internet and cable to save money.&#160; Comcast offered a really good package for all three with good benefits as well.&#160; The phone service and internet service have been great.&#160; We have had some problems with the cable service however.&#160; For the first five days I had to keep calling in because we had problems with two out of the three cable boxes.&#160; We finally had to go trade them in at the Comcast store.&#160; Once we returned home had to spend another twenty minutes on the phone with them to get the two replacement boxes authorized.&#160;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Also you can only record up to two channels at a time.&#160; With AT&amp;amp;T Uverse you can record four.&#160; You can only watch the recorded shows on the same tv that you recorded them on.&#160; With AT&amp;amp;T you are able to watch them on any box.&#160; The tv service itself but it does take some getting use to switching from AT&amp;amp;T.&#160;&lt;/p&gt;... </description>

      <description>&lt;p&gt;Frequently shows are interrupted at our house because UVerse freezes, locks up and skips segments of shows. This is the worst, most frustrating service we've EVER had. We NEVER had problems like this with Comcast. We can rarely watch a recorded show because it's constantly interrupted and it skips, so you never quite know what you missed.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&#160;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;If we dare call for help, we're sure to speak with a rep in another country and definitely are guaranteed to sit on hold or if we are able to speak with a rep, we have to continuously&#160;repeat&#160;our issue-mode for at least an hour. We'd love to have&#160;any of our technical issues resolved, but my husband is a vp with a large company and I am a teacher.. leaving us zero time to devote to the required hours of wasted time on the phone.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&#160;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The only reason we got AT&amp;amp;T was that I wanted an iPhone, which I love, it's the carrier and service that I completely loathe.&lt;/p&gt;

      <description>&lt;p&gt;I read the reviews.&#160; I spoke with my friends that had horror stories with the installation process with ATT Uverse.&#160; So,&#160;after much trepidation, I switched from Dish Network to ATT Uverse.&#160; I am thrilled to report that the installation went smoothly.&#160;&#160;&#160; I did have to call Tech support to setup up my WiFi, and honestly, my problem was mainly due to user error.&#160; The tech support person was wonderful and even helped me setup my email account to Microsoft Outlook.&#160; The picture is much clear, and as pathetic as it sounds, the ability to record four shows at the same time is fabulous.&#160; Do you remember the days when we actually had to use a VCR to record a show?&#160; EEK!&lt;/p&gt;

NOW I live in a new area and found their service available so AGAINST ALL MY NEIGHBORS(who have satellite do to their multiple problems with MEDIACOM) I subscribed because of the great service I recieved previously. Now Mediacom is HORRIBLE, they have tried to over charge me twice, the service goes out every other month or so, On demand works but have to mess with it to get it work and can't get Mediacom to figure out the problem, they have the RUDEST CUSTOMER SERVICE I have ever cam across. Well about 2 weeks ago I got a letter stating that my price will be going up $2 dollars a month, So I decided it was time to upgrade. Checked out all the options including Directv, Dish &amp;amp; AT&amp;amp;T U-verse, I found problems with all of them. The satellite cable packages come with DSL internet which I heard people have a lot of problems with the reliablity of it. Also they are not local companies so I would be sort of worried about that, and the reliability of satellites. I checked in AT&amp;amp;T u-verse they have a deal right now for all 3 services for $94 a month but that's only good for 6 months and then the price raises $30 so it will be...&lt;/p&gt;... </description>

&lt;p&gt;The one thing that does annoy me is the dvr lately is acting on its own. I just got a new box and sometimes it won't let me play what I recorded.&#160;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;They have an amazing rewards service which allows you to buy things through them for a cheaper price. Also you get two free movie tickets a week on Tuesdays at a movie theater depending on your state and where you live.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;They do have great customer service you call and actually get to speak to someone on the phone. They have various types of packages depending on how much you want to spend! They're always running promotions so if you need or want to get cable go with Cablevision.&lt;/p&gt;

      <description>&lt;p&gt;Overall, we have had a favorable experience with Comcast, particularly on the most recent occassion when I went in to pay my bill.&#160; I talked to the representative about the upcoming promotional roll-off (our 12 months was up) and he gave us a better offer than one we had for the past 12 months...from $75/month for DSL and cable to $50/month for the two (now our DSL speed went from 8 to 6, but we haven't noticed a difference)&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;On the other hand, we had issues with our modem and the first customer service representative I talked to told me it was an issue with our computer and I needed to get a new one, because their modem checked out fine.&#160; I knew that was not the case, so I called back the next day and talked to a different representative that said the modem could be bad and I needed to take it in for replacement.&#160; Which was the problem.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Our cable service has been outstanding, and the only issue with our internet was solved, however, I was extremely frustrated by a customer service representative...&lt;/p&gt;... </description>
