concerned-consumer says "Very poor sevice- unresponsive customer service rep." about Pavlov Media

I recently moved into an apartment complex with Pavlov Media as the exclusive ISP and Direct TV provider. It took over 2 weeks and multiple phone calls to get a simple installation done. Furthermore, apparently the technician work-log was falsified so my original and repeated request for a HDTV box was not logged. My request to speak to a customer service supervisor was not honored and in fact Pavlov Media refused to give me the full name of the supervisor nor give me their corporate address so I can write a letter of protest. The techs maybe English-fluent but they sure don't understand or care to understand what the consumer is saying. I believe the only reason they remain in business is because they somehow manage to land an exclusive contract with the rental management firm. Is it even legal limit ISP provider access to a building? All and all, I am very dissappointed with their...

I am living on a community college campus dorm for the summer where Pavlov is the only internet provider here. There is only 500 residents at this place, but it is constantly exceeding bandwidth limits with only 500mb download cap. This is ridiculous. Everyone gets out of work at 4pm, and from then to whenever I go to bed, I struggle to open my email account. It'd be silly to even try to get on youtube. Anyways it is by far the shittiest internet provider I come across, and I advise you to stay away from it. Their live chant support agents have piss poor english, and the ticket they sent me just now to address my problem took me more than 40 minutes to complete. (I actually gave up in the middle and ended up writing a angry email to the support staff) I just wasted an hour of my time trying to improve my internet situation which probably won't be fixed until the end of the Summer and I don't feel like wasting another minute. STAY AWAY FROM PAVLOV. Okay I'm done now. —...

alynnk says "book trading made easy." about BookMooch

BookMooch is another one of my favorite book-related websites. Though I am always surrounded by books that I haven't yet read, I am also always looking for more. — — Using BookMooch is relatively easy: after signing up for an account, you are asked to list books [usually by ISBN] that you have read and would like to give away to another member who has expressed interest in them. Members have 'wishlists' of books they want to read, or 'mooch' from the site, and when a book matching the information on their list is entered into the system, they are notified with an email, allowing them to log into the site and request the book. The sender mails the book directly to the requestor, often through the USPS. There is no cost to join the website, or to request books; members pay only postage when sending books to a requesting member. Media Mail is often the means of mailing, and the cost is around $2. — — Using BookMooch has allowed me to clear out some books...

Busines4sale says "Incredible" about Business Opportunity Finder

Have you been searching for business opportunities on the internet? The internet is clogged to death with a lot of business opportunities that are nothing but a bunch of marketing hype. I don't want to sound like a nagging underachiever, but most of these business opportunities are waiting for a scapegoat to get scammed in a matter of minutes. I don't know about you, but every time I type the word "Business Opportunities" in the search engine box, I get a ton of websites that claim to be business opportunities of a lifetime! Well I can't really blame the search engines, obviously they will display the sites that have either used SEO techniques or paid sponsorship to get on top of the results page. But let's get real for a moment! Do you actually think that the results on the search page are exactly what you searched for? I really don't think so... Apparently, what you see is not what you get!! So how do you go about searching for business opportunities that are unique to your...

Pavlov Media is completely terrible. I am a college student, and do not have another choice based on the provided internet to my apartment complex. Pavlov places a cap on the amount of bytes that can be transferred in a 24 hour period to 256 mb. Technically, it is unlimited, but after 256 mb, you loose priority and the internet speed is deplorable. I play video games online sometimes, and I have never experienced such a terrible connection, rendering Pavlov virtually useless in internet gaming due to its frequent blips and interruptions in service. Also, every next day is a toss up about how good the internet will be, if it is there at all. Stay away, no matter how much money you can...

— —
— Apparently not. — —

I found BookFree.com. It is the Net Fliks of book sites. You pay a monthly fee for a certain number of books, and they send them to you with a return mailer. Fantastic. They also take donations of books, and you can purchase a book if you fall in love with it. — —

I just wish they had a larger selection, but I have found several new authors to love, and I have saved hundreds of dollars per month! — —

Turbo tax improves each year making my taxes a much smaller chore. This year my refund would have been delayed because of the energy savings credit - turbo tax filed my taxes without the energy savings credit - getting me my refund in less then 10 days, and when congress approved the energy savings credit turbo tax helped me file an amended refund to receive the remainder of my refund! Good thinking to the writers of Turbo Tax - I've been a customer for about 10 years and will continue to use Turbo Tax. I have tried other software both boxed and Online and none compare. —...
