NMiller says "Pathetic" about Figleaves.com

I ordered some beautiful lingerie for my honeymoon from figleaves.com. However, my experience was miserable.

First, when I received the items I ordered, the didn't look very much like the pictures on the website. And, the sizes were all messed up. I therefore decided to return the purchases.

Several weeks later, I receive a blunt, rude email that my items were refused for return with no explanation whatsoever. I responded to the email asking why my items had been refused, but they just sent me a link to their returns page, which I had complied with and had read prior to returning the items. After several emails, they finally told me I would not get a refund because there was a "brown substance" on the items. Luckily, I didn't trust the company and had taken pictures of the items before returning them. After sending them these pictures to prove that I returned everything to them in pristine condition and writing several more emails, I got a very grumpy email basically saying...
...

renafaye says "LandsEnd.com is way Too expensive for me." about LandsEnd.com

LandsEnd.com is a good website, for those you have alot of money to spend on what looks like ordinary clothing. I have gone to their website even browsed their catalogs before and I must say that I am not very impressed. Their is nothing extravagant about their apparel. They do have a good selection of outerwear, but where I live this is not something that I have to have a great deal of. North Carolina doesn't get very cold during the winter, so snow apparel is not necessary. Also, I must be honest and tell you that I have seen some of their clothing at Roses, so they must not be selling them that well. The good thing about this though is that at Roses the clothing is very affordable, even the LandsEnd brands. I do like to look at the shoes in the catalog, but have never actually purchased a pair because they are way too expensive. I cannot say that I have ever ordered, so I do not know much about their customer service.
...

renafaye says "Buyers Beware! of Lakeside Collection!!" about Lakeside Collection

Lakeside Collection has wonderful products at very reasonable prices, however, they take forever to get the product to you, and by the time they add shipping and handling to the products you have not really gotten a bargain at all. I ordered a touchscreen MP3 player this past July and have not received it yet. They still are advertising this product in the book, despite it not being in stock. They charge a rediculous price for shipping and handling, especially since they don't ship on time. I feel shipping should be free. Don't make your Christmas list using Lakeside because you may not get some of the items until next Christmas.I originally started ordering through Lakeside Collection because I saw them on My Points Website. They do give you a whopping 500 points if you spend 25 dollars or more, but when you factor in the wait time along with the amount of money you spend for shipping, you have to wonder if it is really worth it. I have had a few successful orders with them and for the...
...

xxcutiexx says "Read before purchasing large product" about Crutchfield

I recently purchased a Samsung 50" Plasma television from Crutchfield... my purchase included free shipping. However, my television arrived damaged with a black line at the top with broken pixels. I calmy called Crutchfield, explained my situation, and they offered to send a new tv to replace the broken one. awesome! BUT- the delivery men would not take out my damaged tv and bring up my new tv (because they weren't getting paid). As you can imagine, I was pretty ticked off... THATS THEIR JOB! I don't care who you are or what company you work for- if youre a delivery person, reguardless of shipping or free shipping- it's your job. I wrote Crutchfield and they were extremely appologetic. They then sent me a $75.00 credit to be used. However, the point for me wasn't the money- it's the point that these men SHOULD have brought the old tv out and the new one in- no questions.

I'm still upset and WILL be telling any and everyone I can... it's horrible customer service to make their customers...
...

msm1965 says "Designer Paradise with Low Low Prices!" about Rue La La

The day I found RueLaLa was the day I had to tell my husband I would be in the dog house for a LONG LONG time!!! I'd heard there were websites out there that offered Designer items at discount prices. I'd also heard these items weren't knock offs, seconds, or damaged. I thought this was just an Urban Myth Designer houses told people so that we would continue searching for the ultimate find but end up shelling out our hard earned money at the Sample Sales in the City....I found RueLaLa and kissed the ground...it wasn't an Urban Myth as I suspected...IT WAS REAL, and it was GREAT!

I've been signed up with RLL now for over a year and in that time I've snagged some incredible finds! I receive emails that advise me of the upcoming "boutique" sales and when they will be opening. I also get a reminder of the Boutique Opening the day of the sale, about an hour or two before it opens. I've purchased some great Vera Bradley bags for next to nothing, LuLu Lemon active wear, Gucci Watches,...
...

msm1965 says "QVC v. HSN--why not both? Best of Both Worlds?" about QVC vs HSN

Okay, I admit it...I am an uncontrollable shopper. My husband loves me but this is the one thing he would change about me. I saw this review and had to put my 2 cents in....I've been a customer of QVC & HSN for MANY years. Both have recently emerged as contenders in the shopping industry and are no longer viewed as selling "junky jewelry" in the middle of the night. HSN has added some very high profile names such as Badgley Mischka, Molly SIms, Sean COmbs &Fran Drescher just this month alone! They also have added Curations (Stephani Greenfield), Tina Knowles, DKNY Jeans,Carols Daughter, Harajuku Fragrances (Gwen Stefani),Benefit Cosmetics, Lancome, Ole Henrikson, Duff Goldman, Tyler Florence, Emeril Lagasse, Todd English, Wolfgang Puck, Wustof Knives, Sam & Libby Edelman, Elliott Luca, Sporto...the list of name brands is endless.

QVC has the same long list of name brands, such as, Dooney & Bourke, Birkenstock, Clarks, Ryka, Bradley Bayou, Carole Hochman, Nolan Miller, Carson Kressley,...
...

Flyboy172 says "Not a 3 Star yet" about Etsy.com

Etsy is a great concept. However as a seller, I have found that there are just too many sellers. New stores get lost in all there is to look at. If your product is not very unique, you will just become part of the crowd.

It is fun to see what everyone has to offer and what is offered locally or maybe in a state where you used to live. If you're looking for a one of a kind item, you'll find it on Etsy. However, as a seller I would say to anyone thinking of selling on Etsy to take a long pause and follow the site for several weeks and do your homework. If there are similar items to what you wish to sell already offered watch and see how these items sell or don't sell.

I've watched the site for some time now and wish I had done more of it before I jumped on board. Even though I have one of a kind items, I would say there are equally unique items in the same catagory being offered. I've watched the stores that have 'yet to be discovered' vs. the stores that just sold an item, and......

GerianneD says "3 items ordered w/free shipping then they charged shipping!" about Collections Etc.

As a customer of Collections Etc. for over 9 years I had placed an order from their catalog last month with free shipping offered. Mailed my payment and expected to get the order in the usual time frame. Instead I got a letter asking for $9.00 shipping. When I called customer service a female representative told me that the order didn't qualify for free shipping.

When I tried to tell her that the order form (my scanned copy) clearly showed free shipping she just talked over me and wouldn't listen. The more I tried to talk, the louder and more beligerent she became. I finally had to shout over her to tell her that this is not the kind of service I deserved as a long standing customer and to just cancel the order and refund my payment.

This is the second time this has happened in the last 5 months. Prior to this, customer service was always polite and courteous, and went to great lengths to satisfy me. I will not put up with this manner of disrespect for their customers and will no longer...
...

ahappyhousewife says "Borders...the worst book buying experience EVER!" about Borders.com

I ordered a book from Borders as a gift for a new son-in-law stationed in Germany. He has an APO. Borders says that they mail to APO's. It got hung up in New Jersey for over a month. Borders offered to refund my purchase amount and resubmit minus the shipping. I took them up on the offer, but never saw the refund, instead they billed me twice for the first transaction and then the second one, and instead of refunding me they sent a gift card to my son-in-law for the original purchase amount! They said this is their policy when a gift has been "returned".

I got no satisfaction from them on the refund, and now the second book is again stuck in New Jersey! I suggest you use any other book seller you can, rather than use Borders. They didn't care about losing my business and did nothing to try and resolve the issue.

Both items did not work. Now - okay, it happens.. i wouldn't be giving this review if it ended there.

I contacted IHTHT to open up an RMA ticket. at first i got a little bit of runaround.. which was followed by completely rude replies, accusing me of having broke them (sorry, d-bags, i really don't have any reason to waste my money buying things, waste my time breaking your dollar-store items and then waste my time trying to return them.)

This went on for a few days, until finally, i asked for an update, and they told me my case number didn't exist.

Hi

I just wanted to say a few things on Fire mountain gems and beads.... Well I make jewelry to sell and give as gifts. And I think that Fire mountain gems and beads is a great site. Only to those who make jewelry but also for those just love jewelry all together. There is a lot of really beautiful beads ,just all kinds of stuff. And you do make jewelry then this is a great site for you. I love it. I has a lot for you to choose from. They have a very wide selection of any thing you are looking for or need. And at a great price. And if you need help with anything there is even live help witch is good. They also have a gallery of designs. That is great also. I have to say if you are planing on going here to buy stuff, make sure you have money because you are going to want more then what you originally planed to buy.
...

I used to be a regular customer of Deep Discount DVD. The prices were low, and the selection was good. Since I didn't have to pay tax or shipping, the prices used to be the best ones out there.

Saving a buck meant I put up with the sometimes slow delivery times and I would use other sites to figure out what I wanted to buy rather than try to figure out from their inconsistent listings what I wanted.

Then I discovered that Amazon prices were often very close to Deep Discounts. If you ordered at least $25 worth at Amazon you get free shipping and if paying the tax meant I paid a few more dollars for the DVDs well I would usually get what I ordered in a very timely fashion.

The other thing that changed is that I had a problem. I ordered a special edition of a DVD and I got the wrong edition. The item was mis-labeled on the site. I wrote many many emails and it took me several weeks before my emails were answered by a live breathing person and not a bot.

I am obsessed with saving and this site has amazing deals. I've ordered over 85 things from this site in about a seven month period and have only ever had minor problems (FedEx, for instance, lost my shipment for abt five days - but the company helped find it). I've purchased everything from designer denim to your basic tank here and have been pleased with probably 98%. The items that don't work are nice, but either don't look right on me or are the wrong color. I have been saving them as xmas gifts. (sneaky but thrifty, and who would mind getting a pair of Red Engine jeans?)

Unlike some of the other ladies who seem to only have negative experiences, mine have mostly been positive. The shopping is great. The only negatives to the ODAT format is that you often get struck viewing one item too long, or they don't have your size or you just miss the item you've been desperately trying to buy. But, these annoyances included, it's probably the site I frequent most often and the one I make...
...

The membership at SavingsAce.com is one of nicest perks I have as an employee. I use this program all of the time and just can't say enough how great it is. SavingsAce.com is just a cash back gateway to the sites and brands you already know and love. You login with your username and password and see all the current offerings. The cash back offers range from 1% to 30% and change daily. You don't need to send or fill out anything to get your cash back rewards - it goes automatically back on the credit card you used on merchant site. It's that easy.

You just need to watch out when the brand you want to shop gets "elevated" to the highest point of cash back - 30%. And it's all on top of all the current sales, clearances and other promotions. Just recently I received a $30 off the entire purchase coupon for OldNavy and I used this combined with the ongoing clearance AND received the cash back. The majority of coupon codes entitle you only to one promotion - $ off OR free shipping. With SavingsAce...
...

Why are they still in business? This is a very nasty ripp-off, and you are never safe because they will charge you again and again, and theres nothing you can do except cancel your cards, and they tell you not to, so they can credit your account, but the never do. They now owe me about $520 bucks. I was only willing to spend $8 bucks for some sample posters.

They will lie to you over the phone repeat after repeat, but...
...
