Scarfdesigner says "Create scarves with your own design" about Scarfmaker

Great online tool to design your own scarf.

Easy to use interface

It is very simple to use this service! First you have to register on the website, after that you can choose an item you want to customize.

The great thing about the design process is that the preview window, showing a scarf, a hat or a blanket will help user visualize his/her design once it is applied to the the selected item in a selected color.

Scarfmaker.com offers the following online instruments allowing its users to create their own designs (on a scarf, hat, or a blanket): user can choose one of the 14 colors of the items, write text on the item using a selection of fonts, use a painting brush to write or draw, as well as utilize a large variety of offered patterns.

Save design to order it again later

Once ordered the selected design is knitted onto the item (not embroided) and looks exactly like it does on the website. The created design can be saved in the user's account and ordered again in the future.

pp2a says "Grasp the world information, it is CNN" about CNN.com

from CNN , you can get as many as you can, you can know everything, news, informations, analysis, Good!

Judging from my own Web stats, more people took the time Sunday night than Saturday to check out the debut of D.L. Hughley's new hourlong CNN talk show, D.L. Hughley Breaks the News. In fact, that's when I sat down to watch the full hour myself. And my initial ruling fits with my expectations expressed earlier. The monologue and the first scripted bits felt stilted, as if they were trying too hard (sorry, Donnell Rawlings, but nice try as Freddie Mack the pimp, and the CNN "truth squad" interruption was simply lame) and having Hughley deliver his monologue directly into the camera instead of to the audience lacked the same punch as his stand-up. That said, it was refreshing to hear a comedian acknowledge how the industry can be financially rewarding, as Hughley joked that Obama's plan to tax those who make more than $250,000 a year would hurt him, too! And after the first few segments,...
...

ChrisJarmick says "Unique Website, exploring unique writing experiment" about 3:15 Poetry Experiment

People who write regularly, professionally or just for fun, have contemplated their sources of inspiration, experimented with writing prompts and challenges and might have read a few books on the subject of writing as well.

Beyond the thinking and reading about writing inspirations, people have been conducting writing exercises and experiments for many years.

One such experiment began in 1993 and involved waking up from a deep sleep to force yourself to write something down on a piece of paper and then go back to sleep. The writings would not be edited or re-written, but observed and shared. How close to a subconscious or shared subconscious level of writing can someone get to?

Every night in August, several poets have been waking up at 3:15 a.m. in the morning to write something. The idea to do this was started in 1993. Since then, different versions and experiments have been tried. Since 1999 a group of writers who participated in the 3:15 a.m. experiment have been sharing...
...

This is a great site and one of two I use to find out health-related topics. I mostly use it to try to find out about symptoms and problems my husband or I might be having. And these are just little things, like itchy skin or heartburn. We don't necessarily have major diseases or illnesses, although this site would be helpful for finding information on that, too. I turn to this site before going to a doctor. I like to find things out on my own, first, and get as much information as I can to help me figure out my own problems. This site makes it easy to do that. It breaks things down into categories and has a great search tool, unlike many sites out there. It's also written for everyday people, not doctors, which is the best thing about it. It gives general and specific information that anyone can understand. It also has news and other websites to reference if you want more than basic information.
...

A friend of mine turned me onto Gimundo.com. We had been having a conversation about how we don't like to watch news on television because so much of it is bad news. We were bemoaning the face that there was no such thing as good news channels, where they only report good news. While not a television channel, Gimundo.com is an excellent source for reading good news for a change. Every story they print in their email newsletter is upbeat and positive. After I'd been receiving the newsletter for a while, they decided that they would have to fold because they couldn't keep up with it. I was saddened by the news, and after a few months of no Gimundo.com, I started my own blog to fill the void. I have seen firsthand how much work it is to keep up with a site such as this, so I was really glad when I saw Gimundo.com making a comeback. I continue to do my blog, but I am delighted that Gimundo is back online and bringing good news to the internet.
...

tmzapped says "News in Prophecy and how it affects us." about Prophecy New Watch

This website www.prophecynewswatch.com is one of the most profound bible prophecy websites that I have ever found. It compares scripture to whats happening in the world today. This website gives you news stories and how that relates to bible prophecy and how it affects us in our daily lives , the economy , and many other fascinating facts.

I think we should all be aware of where we stand in this world in these times. Our economy is slowly becoming too immersed with other parts of the world. If you take the time to research the bible and what it has to say you will see that what is happening in the world today should be enough to scare any rational human being.

Not to mention all of the things that are going on in Jerusalem and many other countries. These are truly times to keep you eyes and ears open. Not to let everyday life get in the way of making sure you are prepared for what is going to happen in the very near future.

Remember these are my opinions and not intended to anger...

...

Foxs News is a great place to read up or watch the hottest topics in the headlines today. I had been using just my local news when it came on in the evenings to keep up to date on the world, but they started becoming very one-sided on a lot of important issues. I started searching around and found Fox News. I like that they are very center of the road on political/religous topics. I can read the stary and know I am getting the facts and no 'FLUFF' pieces that have been worked around to highlight one side while it darkens the other. They cover everything you can think of too, U.S, world news, political, entertainment, leisure, health, science and more. Every topic you could need is found on their site. And the fact that it is free, without registering, is even better. I do not care for having to 'register' for any news becouse your emails in box will most likley be slammed with a bunch of nonsence emails. Foxs News does not ask you to register, sign in or even sign up. It is great!
...

Bryan-Carey says "Weather.com: Instant Access to Weather Data and More" about Weather.com

How is the weather in your neck of the woods? What is the weather like in the Caribbean? What about India? There was a time when finding information like this was more trouble than it was worth, but the internet has made it easy to obtain immediate weather statistics for locations around the globe. And the first place most people turn for weather data is Weather.com, the online service affiliated with cable television's popular Weather Channel.

Web Site Commentary:

Weather.com is, first and foremost, a tool for finding current weather statistics for the United Sates and around the world. Most people who visit Weather.com come here to find the current weather conditions and forecasts for their local area. Weather.com makes it easy to lookup this information because all it takes is a quick entry of your zip code, in the search box on the main screen. You can also enter the name of a city, but entering a five- digit zip code is the fastest way to go.

I have had Google News as my home page for a while, and I love it! It shows news stories from thousands of different sources, from all around the world. As soon as I load up my browser, I can see the top headlines of the day, as well as the 10 most popular topics, and sections arranged by subject further down the page.

Google News is very customizable - you can get local news by entering your ZIP code, control the number of stories shown in each category, or even remove categories you aren't interested in.

One of the best features is the ability to search for any topic you're interested in. You can sort your search results by relevance or date and sign up to receive email alerts whenever your search term appears in the news.

I love that Google News is simple and fast-loading, without obnoxious ads. It's extremely convenient and a one-stop source for news.
...

As a conservative, I enjoy getting my news for a conservative source. Fox News has very good quality news, addresses pertentant issues, and goes in-depth on important events.

While a great many of their guests are legitimate experts on the subject they are addressing, other times they have no more qualifications to talk about political events than I do. I can be a "political expert" too. It frusterates me that the only great source for conservative news can't provide solid, well-informed guests who make a living on what they are voicing their opinion on.

Finally, I feel as though Fox News is sometimes so focused on presenting the "conservative side" of issues that they don't really focus on what the issue is. For example, during the Swine Flu outbreak in the United States, Fox News focused on illegal immigration. This would have been pertinent if illegal immigrants had brought swine flu with them when they were smuggled in, but the outbreak started from New York students who went on...
...

Weather.com is the easiest and the quickest place to check your forecast. You can get hour by hour updates, view weather alerts and warnings, and so much more. I find that the forecast at weather.com is usually more reliable than the local foreaster's. I check both religiously, because I have little ones that need to know how to dress for school and I live in an area of unpredictable weather. So we like to be in the know and aware of what to expect. I check it every evening before I go to bed. I can check out for the weekend to see what the weather will be like for our activities. You can check up to 15 days out, which is amazing, and even though it could change depending on the weather patterns, it's nice to get an estaimate if nothing else. You can plan vacations and trips accordingly. Weather.com is reliable and is easy to navigate with tons of information both regionally, locally, and nationally!
...

I absolutely love Weather.com! I check it first in the morning when I check my emails. I love their 10 day forecast and the hour by hour sections the most. I love going every day to see what has changed from yesterday. I love that I can put in the zip code of the city that I will be visiting on vacation and get a pretty good idea of what the weather will be while I am there. I love that I can personalize the page to show specific information that I want to know for such as driving conditions, outdoor activities, ski condictions, etc.

Every morning I take my news with a side of bacon. That's right, bacon. And there is only one place where I can satiate my appetite for up-to-the-minute reports on the G20 while I ogle in horror and lust at recipes for bacon filled waffles. Where is this nefarious place you ask? On the inter-webs of course, at Reddit.com specifically. Reddit launched in 2005 as a social news site where user submissions dictate the ever-changing content. The brainchild of UVA grads, Steve Huffman and Alexis Ohanian quickly gained popularity for its broad range of shockingly current information; so much so that in 2006 Condé Nast acquired the domain for eight figures.

Still, the two young developers are the primary forces behind maintaining and improving the social news site. Its premise is simple. Reddit users (as in "I have read it") aggregate news stories from all over the net. They are presented in list form on the most simplistic but visually pleasing homepage I have ever seen. Imagine a Google search...
...

Gallup Poll, like all polles its all in how the question is asked or worded, the more diverse the polls the better picture we have of the pollsters leanings gallup is open minded in this respect. i have taken many polls and based on the questions that i am given i can tell often what they the pollsters are up too in court its called leading the witness, polles are commissioned by the most part by outhers with an agenda or axe to grind, gallup wont do that, and it also takes in to account the biases of those being polled
...

brightideamediainc says "This is an overly partisan look at our democratic practice. " about How Obama Got Elected

"Media Malpractice - How Obama Got Elected" by John Ziegler is a new documentary chronicling the historic 2008 Presidential election. More specifically, it is a look at how, according to Mr. Ziegler and former Vice-Presidential nominee Gov. Sarah Palin, the "liberal" media swayed the popular vote in America and used their "power" to corrupt the American democratic process.

First, I respect Mr. Ziegler as a filmmaker, and believe he, just like any other artist, has the right to show or say what he believes in any media format he wishes. That being said, I found this documentary to a huge injustice to documentary filmmakers, and a slap in the face to not only our democratic voting process, but to America as a whole.

First, Mr. Ziegler lets his viewers know that the purpose of this documentary is to show how uninformed voters of Obama are. To do this, he uses the time-honored tradition of a focus-group of Obama supporters. Up to this point, Ziegler seems to be doing ok. But then he...
...

OldHippie says "Uninformed Voters" about How Obama Got Elected

When asked before the election, "Which party currently controls congress?" most, if not all polled on this website said the Republicans. That's wrong. Democrats took control of both houses of congress after the 2006 elections. Most polled on this website didn't know who Nancy Pelosi was. She's the current Speaker of the United States House of Representatives. She's also considered to be an ultra left-winger.

Most polled did not know who Barnett "Barney" Frank was. He is the first openly gay politician from Massachusetts's 4th congressional district. Most polled didn't know who Harry Reid was. He is the Democratic U.S. Senate Majority Leader from Nevada. So far...what's wrong with this picture? Uninformed voters is the answer.

Oddly or not, most did know how much was spent on Sarah Palin's wardrobe budget. When asked who said, "I can see Russia from my house." most, if not all answered Sarah Palin. Wrong. Tina Fey from "Saturday Night Live" said that mocking Sarah...
...

kwags1220 says "Good - and strange - news source" about msn

The MSN website includes most, if not all, of the major headlines you will need to keep up to date with the news. However, some of their headlines are incredibly biased and quite frankly, sometimes quite stupid. I do not appreciate some of the commentary - it is clearly supposed to be witty, but I usually find it obnoxious. Some of the blogs linked to MSN are interesting. Others are rather biased. This is a good site to get your news bites. If you want details, follow up elsewhere. If you want to just keep up, great site. If you want to keep up with gossip without heading to TMZ or Perez Hilton, you will be able to get your fix pretty easily at this site....
