Katrena says "Great info on Gluten Intolerance at www.celiac.org" about Celiac Disease Foundation Website

Colic. Lupus. Type I Diabetes. Crohn's Disease. Eczema. Fibromyalgia. Iron-deficiency anemia. Failure to thrive. Diarrhea. Mouth Sores. Osteoporosis. Irritable Bowel Syndrome. At first sight, you might think that the above conditions would not have something in common. But people experiencing any of the above might: gluten intolerance. — Celiac Disease (AKA Celiac Sprue, Coeliac Disease) is a condition in which people experience various symptoms (or perhaps no symptoms) when they eat/drink anything with even tiny amounts of gluten (from grains such as wheat, barley, rye and sometimes oats). Approximately 1 out of 133 people has celiac disease, but the majority are not diagnosed with this condition. This is a great, informative website about Celiac Disease. It gives information about the disease, symptoms and treatment, which includes a gluten-free diet. Many people are scared of a gluten-free diet, but it really is worth it to be healthier and to have happier,...

sjlongley says "MapMyRun: more addicting than Facebook" about Map My Fitness

I have been a runner (off and on) since middle school, and it has been interesting to see how my approaches to the sport have evolved. Initially, I relied on coaches, signs, and word of mouth to know how much I had been training. Once I even attempted to keep a running log. When Google developed GoogleMaps, I began using that to track my runs. — — The main issue with Google Maps rested with the fact that in order to map any given run, especially a loop you had to do three things: — 1) stay on the road — 2) find out the addresses of start points, end points, and points along the way — 3) break up your loop into sections--i.e. point A to B, point B to C, point C back to A--and hope that it gave you the desired route. — — When I discovered MapMyRun (or MapMyFitness), all of that was changed. Map My Run revolutionized the ways in which people track their fitness, and made it so much easier for people to do so. Not only can you draw out your...

zeeblo says "Not so Lucky if you're the customer" about Lucky Vitamins

Lucky sent me the wrong product and tried to blame me for ordering according to the item description (which was for the product I wanted) rather than ordering by the "title." Their customer service manager was rude and accusatory. When I showed him that when he clicked on the hyperlink on my online receipt and it brought me to the right product (according to the picture and description) he told me that the item description was irrelavant because the "title" of the product was what I was ordering--excuse me? How are you supposed to trust online companies if they don't have accurate product descriptions. — —

My warning--stay away from these guys! — —...

Adelida2233 says "Great weight manangement site" about Wellness360

The basic premise of the site is to provide a wealth of health and wellness information, as well as being able to track your progress in your workouts, as well as provide new workouts tailored to you. — — If you are the type of person who writes down what you do for exercise, then this sit will work well for you. It lets you track all different kinds of workouts, and even lets you customize one if a pre-made one doesn't fit your workout routine. — — If you are the type of person who can barely remember to go to the gym, much less keep track of what you did well enough to input it into the computer, this is not for you. You may get some benefit from reading the articles alone, but that's not enough to make the payout worth it. — — There is an added benefit of this site, that is optional. If you use the site effectively, it allows you to track your workout routines as well as your progress. You can either set up a weight goal, or just a simple,...

While I was browsing, I noticed offerings for free trials on products that I use (contact lenses) and even some interactive tools to help you assess your health. — — Since I first saw the site, it looks like they've done a complete re-design, complete with a 'Connect' section that you can join to blog and post to message boards.
