rewith says "To find the best prices or to sell your junk, go to eBay. " about Ebay (for original art work)

Although eBay is a big ripoff when it comes to paying fees from selling items, dealing with fraudulent buyers or sellers alike, it is also the best web site to go if you want to get rid of your crap or find the lowest prices possibly. I mean, I always do so. Additionally, I go on it even when I cannot find particular items available at local stores or shopping centers. So yeah, I give eBay credit for offering a variety of items as well as reduced prices.

One thing that I appreciate from eBay is that the company are more forgiving and considerate to their members than Amazon is. Almost two years ago, I started a seller account on Amazon website. I probably sold over 100 items mainly Polaroid brand cameras and packs of film and made at least thousands of dollars. I was only charged a single fee every time I sold an item (no charge for listing the item). I later received complaints and negative feedback from unsatisfying customers. The same thing happened to me on eBay only that Amazon...
...

hippolampus says "deviantArt makes it easy to show art, but hard to get attention" about Deviantart.com

Deviantart is a website which makes it easy to showcase your artwork for friends and family to see, and comment on if they have an account themselves. It is also a good place to build a community, since it is so widely used by artists across the world. However, its system ranks artwork by popularity, and nothing else, which can lead to frustration when, let's say, a sketch of a cute bunny rabbit has accrewed more attention than your masterpiece oil painting. Ultimately, it is a very useful site and recommended to any artist, especially beginners.
...

Anyone can be creative in this warm cozy setting. The staff shows you how to make your own work of art. They have clay, glass, mosaic, jewelry, clothes. It's so much fun you can't stop thinking about it after you leave and it's with a huge smile across your face. There was a couple having a date while I was there. How cool was that? You have to check this place out for yourself because I think anybody can have fun here. I went with a group. The cost was reasonable I spent about $20 and I not only had a great time I have a work of art!...

Charmaine's floral water colors are amazing. Whether one wanted one for their dining room or a restaurant they would add a bold statement to any decor. It is hard to believe the detail in these works...the crochet table cloths look real. The art pieces are large many being over 24" and the prices for limited edition glicee prints is reasonable. Even originals are inexpensive considering the artist is acclaimed world wide.

If you like scratch board art, or art of animals, be sure to look at Charmaine's scratch board art available in hand colored prints for the wall and as note cards. My favorite is a tabby cat that she offers but all are very good. Again the prices are reasonable and her turn around time for the note cards I ordered was fast.

I would suggest writing her via the email on the site and not depending on the ordering shopping cart, as glitches with that system seem to happen occasionaly.
...

Do you like to express your feelings on paper? I find it very helpful to pour my heart and soul into my poetry and then I found a site that I could post them on. The site is poetry.com, not only do you get recognized for your work, you could also win cash prizes.

I have been posting poetry there for several years now. All but one of my poems have been selected for publication. The International Society of Poets selects collections of poetry several times a year for publication. They also select poems periodically to be professionally read and produced on CD's.

The first edition of Poetry in Motion CD's featured one of my poems. The third edition also featured one of poems. In 2007, I was published in the "Who's Who in Poetry and named the United States of America Ambassador of Poetry by the International Society of Poets. Who would have ever thought that a simple country girl could go so far with poetry? My son wrote about my accomplishments and did a biography on me for his English...
...

DeviantArt is one of the few Art Community websites I constantly visit. My personal account sports its own modest array of my best drawings, and I subscribe to many fantastic artists whose skill just blows me away with every new entry. But the focus isn't art - it's an Art Community - and that comes with a price.

You get your good, informative announcements from the site: Updates to the site and the Terms of Service. You also get your incredibly active members that keep the Deviant Art experience exciting with contests and information on how art impacts people all over the world. On the downside you get people that are there to see how popular they can get or to ruin anyone else's day with spam comments and heavily repulsive remarks. Sometimes they get banned, sometimes they don't. If you're unfortunate enough to run into one, there's not much you can do.

But you know that there are others on the site like you who come to the site to see good art and to make their art better in the brave......

I have stumbled across another internet gem, Artistful.com! I am always looking for inspiration and also a way to get feedback and interact with other artists. Artistful.com is just that kind of place. On this website, you will find a large community of artists and crafters of every genre. But, it is not a community alone. You can also sell your artwork in its original form or sell prints of your work, if you choose not to part with the original just yet.

Show It Off!
Artistful.com is currently still in its Beta mode, so it is always improving and changing things. Currently you can show off your art via your personal Gallery, where you display artwork and prints for sale, and your portfolio, where the rest of your artwork goes.

Selling Your Art
Artistful.com does get a portion of your print sales, but you can set the commission to up to 100% of the base price. They also charge 20% of your sale of original artwork. But, according to their FAQ, most other art websites will charge......

Poetry.com is nothing but a scam. It is a disgrace that a compay like this has not been fined by the goverment for ripping people off. My daughter wrote a great poem when she was only 8 years old. Unfortunally I did not do my homework and research this company and I foolishly sent them money to have my daughter's poem published. I was told that she was picked to be on the publisher's top ten poem of the year and had a chance of winning the grand prize. I sent them the money and never received the book that I ordered. I wrote to them and never received any correspondence back except after approx. 1 year when they again were asking for more money. It is awful to get people's hope's up thinking that their hard work is going to be recoginized and all it was is a SCAM! Please don't be fooled like I was and send them any money, do your research. It really is a great poem titled "My Fingertips" and if you get the chance please take the time to read it. It is published on their......

I really like deviantART and I am a regular member there but I will admit I haven't really been too much into the place since it's kinda a populary contest. it's like if you aren't popular it's almost like you don't exist it seems. but ofcourse that's just only one example of the bad parts to devianART, one of the good parts is that you can meet some really awesome people there. it's a good place to hang out and meet other artists and also buy good prints/items too. just make sure if your going to use images or anything from deviantART for any reason/purpose please make sure to respect the copyrights of the artists. because if you don't people might confuse you with art thieves for not giving proper copyrights or for even stealing....

deviantART is one of my all time favorite websites. I've been a member for over three years.

At its core, deviantART (Or dA for short) is an art community that focuses on improving one's artwork. But, the website is much more than that. You'll be making friends and interacting with people from all over the world.

This website may not be family friendly. dA supports all forms of artistic expression, including artistic nuidity and artistic gore. So, it's best not to have the younger members of your family browsing the website freely.
...

PoetryZine says "www.poetry.com" about poetry.com

Poetry.com offers free things like e-cards as well as free poetry contests, however, there are all sorts of pitfalls for the beginning poet, also, such as the book, the plaque, and the poet's conference. My poetry has been in volumes, has been read at the conference, and has been on plaques that people who took in a lot of money from it paid for. If you are profiting from your own or other people's poetry, buy the book, and write it off as a business expense. If you are not making a living from your own or other people's writing, then, don't buy the book.

My so-called literary agent has purchased a few volumes of poetry.com books with the proceeds of my poetry sales, so I guess that this makes me a so-called writer. Poetry.com is not highly respected in the literary world, although it is widely known.

After having thumbed through hundreds of other business junk mail leaflets, a lot of the offers looked similar to that of poetry.com, which is a mainstream way of producing poetry. There are......

As an artist I have tried acrylic artist paints and mediums from many companies, inluding Utrecht. In my experience, Utrecht's products are average, nothing special. (The better products are from Golden Paints or Winsor & Newton.) The Utrecht products tend to be cheaper, but in this case cheaper is not a bargain.

My main concern with Utrecht, however, is their horrible customer service. I bought some acrylics from Utrecht's website, including a bottle of gel product that I did not immediately open because I already had some existing open stock in use. When I did open the new bottle, it was short about 25 percent; there was a big gouge out of the gel, looking as though someone had removed it with a spoon. When I called Utrecht's customer service, their response was hostile and rude. They would not discuss it with me because I was now beyond their 30-day limit. I asked to speak to a supervisor (named Tara), who made expressly clear that she did not care whether I remain...
...

Telpher says "A poignant look at one man's life, and his death" about Some Photos of that Day

In March 1979, when Jamie Livingston was a student at Bard College, he started taking one photo a day. Using a Polaroid SX-70 Land Camera, he began a dad-by-day photographic journal that he kept until the day he died, in 1997. After his death, a couple of Livngston's friends gathered the photographs, which Livingston had dated and filed in chronological order, and put them on exhibit at Bard, the photographer's alma mater. As one would expect, there were a few dates without photos: maybe Livingston didn't get around to taking pictures on thse days. Maybe he did take photos, but they were lost somewhere along the way. We'll never know. For the days that there are no photographs, his friends created simple date markers.
