malissa1633 says "The best pet for all ages" about Guinea Pigs

I have had guinea pigs my whole life, they have always been one of my favorite pets to have. While in college I was unable to have one due to the dorms rules, but now that I am living in a house I was able to get one again. This particular one loves my cat, I can leave them running around in the same room and not be afraid to leave for a few minutes. They do call them a pig for a reason though, they love food! ...

The best thing in the world! I was in puppy obedience just because my Border Collie mix pulled on the leash. The trainer wanted me to turn in circles or stop everytime she pulled. That's ridiculous when you are walking 3 to 4 miles. I bought this harness, put it on her and never looked back. No training required, she didn't freak out about having it on. I quit obedience immediately. She does not pull, she does not jump she walks beautifully! I can walk her while holding the leash with two fingers! My mother who has bad knees can even walk her without me worrying about her falling. Its fantastic if you have 2 dogs, they can walk side by side without pulling. No more sled dogs draggin me down the street. —...

MizP says "This product could cause urinary problems for your cat." about Purina One Salmon & Tuna Flavor for Cats 3.5lb Bag

I received a coupon for a free bag of Purina One brand cat food. Since it is a popular brand, I figured it must be better quality than most others, so I got it for my male cat. within 3 weeks, he developed urinary problems. He had blood in his urine, so we took hime to the vet. We found that he had developed crystals in his urine. Our vet said that Purina cat food is suspected of causing this in a lot of cases. The only Purina product he recommends is Purina Urinary Tract formula. The others have too high mineral content & cause problems that can quickly lead to death. Hopefully, we caught it in time. Our kitty is on antibiotics and special presription food to try to dissolve the crystals. Its a shame that a "free" bag of cat food ended up costing us so much. — —...

Sugar glliders are some of the coolest- and most high maintainenece critters you can own. They are very very Loyal to whomever they bond too, and are small enough that you can carry them pretty much anywhere without anyone knowing you even have them. They're EXTREMELY cute and small; but not without thier vices. I would reccommend these cute critters to anyone, but not without careful...

I have two dogs; one who has more energy than the sun gives off and one who has taken up permanent residence on the couch in front of the T.V. Needless to say the couch potato was a little.. plump. I found this food Precise Light ( for weight management and reduction) at my local vet clinic, and it worked amazingly! My little dog dropped the pounds and doesnt seem to be starved at all; she's even more energetic! I would reccommend this food to anyone! — the only problem with this food is that it will "spoil." It doesnt go bad persay, but the vitamin content cant be insured after a certain amount of time. —...

gunthertron0 says "I love my bunny!" about rabbit

I have a little black and white dwarf bunny and I love her to death! She's relatively quiet, but she knows how to tell me if she needs something. They are clean animals so you don't really have to bathe them.Contrary to popular belief you can potty train them! Therefore, they are easy to clean up after. They are normally very friendly and they loved to be brushed. As ironic as it sounds, my rabbit and I love some of the same things! We both enjoy walking outside in the sunshine, and we both like grapes and salad.Which makes her pretty easy to shop for. She's happy doing simple things like ripping up paper or cuddling! She's very affectionate and she makes the people around her very happy. With a rabbit the only thing you have to worry about is making sure their teeth and nails don't get too...

I have three of these in my house. (I have 7 cats). I tried the other brand of fountain and found it unacceptable because the reservoir is small and impossible to clean. The Drinkwell is easy to disassemble and clean and the reservoir is MUCH larger. I have the additional capacity reservoir so that it doesn't run out of water every day (7 cats, remember?!). When disassembling it, the only problem I've ever had is forgetting to replace the impeller when I put it back together. Helpful hint: It won't run without the impeller! The first fountain has been with me for a couple of years now and the impeller has become bent and needs to be replaced. Happily, replacement parts are available at Veterinary Ventures. — A side note. Another reviewer specified that a "Con" is that it makes noise if the water is low. I consider this a definite "Pro" because you'll be able to tell when it's running low and can clean...

If your pesky visitors are fleas, these tiny pests can infest both dogs, cats and invade your home all year long. Flea bites can cause discomfort for your pet, lead to skin infections, lead to allergic skin reactions causing irritation and can even transmit other disease-causing organisms, including tapeworms. As you can see, for the health of your pet and sanctity of your home, it is important to get rid of fleas as quickly as possible and prevent their return. — Advantage: —...

The FURminator deShedding Tool is guaranteed to reduce shedding in dogs & cats more than any other grooming tool. — All dogs & cats have the potential to look less than well groomed but the problem is exacerbated when you are dealing with a long coat and bad weather. — Matting in a pet coat is a big problem especially in winter and spring, and under belly hair can get caked in mud and tangled and knotted. If mats are unchecked, pets could wind up having a skin allergy and your home having a trail of mud. — A lot of dogs really hate being clipped, plus you have to wait until the fur has grown quite long before it's worth doing, but here's a solution you can do at home with little fuss... the FURminator. —...

Once you understand what a rabbit is really like you can prepare to be amazed. Each rabbit has his or her own personality. Bunnies will come when called. They will pull at pant legs for attention. They will sleep on the bed with their human and sit on their lap. Rabbits get along with other animals as long as the other animals get along with them. Cats and rabbits can be good companions. Dogs and rabbits will groom each other. Rabbits are eternally curious and interested in their surroundings. They play with toys and they dance with joy. Rabbits kept outside never become family members and their owners are deprived of ever knowing their unique character. —...

Pet rats are clean wonderful small animals. Most people associate them with sewers and the plauge, but a pet rat is as different from wild rats as a wolf is to a domestic dog. — — Pet rats act a little like a dog in many aspects - can be trained to walk on a leash, learn tricks, wag their tails, etc. — — Pet rats also act a bit like cats/kittens - they play fight much like a cat or kitten, some twitch their tails just before pouncing on a moving toy, or when play fighting with their owners hand, etc. — — Pet rats also have some interesting quirks that are uniquly their own - some like to clean their owners - licking their hands, face, etc. even going as far as to check their owners mouth to make sure that their teeth are clean. They are one of the few animals known to laugh, although it can't be heard at a human level - you must use sonar equipment to hear their high-frequency laughter. Rats will laugh when in play and when tickled. Rats also...
