This web site has saved me so much money. My cabinets are so full. I cant put another thing in. It is so easy to use. My best shopping trip so far has been to Bloom. I got seventy dollars worth of food for seven dollars. I get free stuff at the CVS all the time. I save so much money and the website does all the work. All my local grocery stores are included. All drug stores. And then some added deals that the website owner comes across she then passes the deals on to her readers. And I am an avid reader of this site. I dont go shopping until I first look at this site. I have been able to get many of my Christmas gifts for free. This helps alot cause then I can save all my money for trips. With my savings from this summer I went on a cruise in the carribean with many of my friends. I will continue to use this website every week. I am so thankful for the help. I love the savings.
...

A friend recommended the moneysavingmom website and since first checking it out, I've visited the site regularly, and even signed up for daily emails (something I hardly ever do). The daily blog provides notice of deals, high value coupon alerts, coupon matchups and links to free items, as well as tips for living on a budget. The site is very organized, and the author is extremely upbeat and energetic (check out her weekly grocery roundup or her recent baking day posts). She also often offers her readers the opportunity to win free products. The coupon matchups alone have saved me hours of time matching up weekly sales circulars with available online and paper coupons, and I found out about a number of unadvertised specials (such as K-Mart's double coupon days) which I never would have known about. I've found I've become a much more organized shopper, and I've cut down on my household spending while increasing my both the quality and quantity of my purchases.
...

snag says "Alice.com offers savings on brand name products & free shipping." about Alice.com

Alice.com sells brand name drugstore and nonperishable grocery items at very reasonable prices (with certain items offered at unreasonably low prices). They also have a limited selection of green/organic products and a few premium or high end products. Shipping is free on every order (with a minimum of 6 items). Many of their products have clip free coupons that are automatically deducted from the price when added to your cart. Items ship within a few days and arrive within a few more days (my orders have all been shipped USP).

Some of my recent purchases include Bounty Basic Paper towels (59 cents), Clairol Haircolor (90 cents) Kotex Pantiliners (41 cents), Schick Lightweight Disposable Razors (29 cents), Lysol Antibacterial Kitchen Cleaner ($1.50).

Some of their products are sold at retail price, and the site is a little tricky at first but if you go through "Other Ways to shop" then click on "Shop the best deals" you'll get their current top 50 deals where you can find the really...
...

ktindiana says "RockAuto's website is poorly built, leading to billing problems." about Rock Auto

I attempted to place an order on the RockAuto.com website this past weekend that resulted in problems that the company was unwilling to admit to or reimburse me for. After selecting the part I wanted to buy, I came to the page requesting my address and billing information. I filled out all the info and clicked the "Place Order" button. I was immediately returned to the same screen with a message saying that something was incorrect, to fix it, and click on the "Place Order" button again. Unsure what was wrong, I tried about 4 times before I gave up. The order was never placed, but 4x the charges were reserved in my bank account, cleaning it out, making the money inaccessible, and causing another payment I had made elsewhere to bounce, resulting in $40 of fees. I had to get a fax from RockAuto sent to the bank telling them they could release the funds so that the money was available again. The funds would have been released 5 business days later if I didn't get the fax request.

Basically,...
...

savvynlady says "Love the place" about Overstock.com

I discovered Overstock a couple of years back when I was doing some comparison shopping on some books. If you want to get a book, more than likely, it is way cheaper there than at Amazon.com, which to me, is the biggie in low prices, but then again, if Amazon is the King, then Overstock has got to be the Queen!! because honey, she undercuts them with a no more than $2 shipping fee which for me is such a blessing. Mind you now, you may not get EVERY book you want, and you can also get electronics, clothes, bedding etc, but nine times out of ten, if it's popular, you can get it there for less. I also do some comparison shopping there and you can join their club for a fee but it runs like a frequent buyers club but don't quote me there. Easy, accessible, convenient and great for those doing their early Christmas shopping, this site is the place for all your needs. Check it out. www.overstock.com
...

RubyRedSquirt says "good gift" about Edible Arrangements

I got to try the chocolate dipped fruit last week. I got a cute box with 6 chocolate dipped fruit inside. There were 2 strawberries, 3 oranges, and 1 banana. The fruit was good, better than I expected. The chocolate however was the best I'd ever tasted. I really liked the flavor and it really complimented the fruit well.

What I didn't like was the price. I think it was around 14.99 and I just feel that's a bit too expensive. So I'm not sure I'll be buying again but I will surely miss that chocolate! But it would make a nice gift for those that can afford it.
...

My husband and I are trying to start a family, and I have been using Countdown to Pregnancy for about the last year. A free website, Countdown to Pregnancy offers a variety of resources that can be accessed by anyone who visits the site. By setting up a free membership, you can get your own personal profile page and track each cycle and symptoms. More on the tracking in a moment...some of the main items on the site include:

Pregnancy test statistics

Most common symptoms

Success stories

General information about fertility aids and pregnancy symptoms

Ovulation and Due Date calculators

The section I have utilized the most is the Symptom Tracker. For each cycle, you track any symptoms you experience on a daily basis that are out of the norm. The site gives a list of over 65 symptoms that are commonly experienced during pregnancy...some you might not even think of! Who would have thought a stuffy nose was common during early pregnancy? The great thing about tracking is that even...
...

The previous reviews of iHerb seem out-of-date, out-of-touch.

Iherb used to be great -- the best. They WERE my favorite online store for supplements. Not any more. (Are they under new ownership?)

Customer service is practically non-existent now and shipping is UNBELIEVABLY slow. By most recent reviews on the web, there is a 2 - 3 week delivery time for shipping. My order took 20 days!! from date of ordering to my front door... however my credit card was charged one day after placing my order.

I almost didn't order from this company based on the reviews here. I'm glad I didn't listen. My first order was a pair of gloves and goggles. Great products and the shipping was as fast as anywhere I have shopped online. Next I thought I'd take the leap and order a jacket, risky proposition since the sizing reviews vary wildly even on their website. I reviewed the sizing chart and and went with the reccomendations of one size up. Boom- not even CLOSE!! I thought- okay, here's where we test the customer service aspect. Followed the directions (I have an irritating habit of doing that) and sent it in for exchange. Didn't call anyone or write e-mails calling them "poopyheads" or anything. Just sent in the jacket with the paperwork. 5 days later the Fedex guy shows up at my door with the best fitting, best quality leather jacket I've ever had (and I've had a few!!). I would have run into the same problem as a couple of these reviewers if I didn't have that irritating habit of verifying before...
...

tbolt6 says "DO NOT USE FTD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" about FTD

I wish I had read these reviews before I ordered. I will never use FTD again. Ever. Tell all your friends.

Background: I am in the military, and I am away from home a lot as you can imagine. The weekend of this order was my anniversary. I had to go to duty through that period. Now, my wife has cancer... not asking for sympathy, just so you understand how mad this made me.

So I ordered flowers via the FTD website for delivery on the day of our anniversary so she would know I was thinking of her, while she was sick at home from the after effects of chemo. Imagine my surprise when I got home and... nothing. My wife thought I had forgotten. No calls from the florist, nothing. So I emailed customer service... 48 hrs later they got back to me. In the meantime, they charged me and sent me a delivery confirmation email!

The customer service lame excuse was that "the shop isn't open on Saturday." When I asked why they had passed the order to a shop that wasn't open on the delivery date they had...
...

Overstock.com offers a wide range of products and I really like the categories. Also, the search engine is fantastic! You can search by price, category, sizes, etc. I will admit that some of the prices aren't the best BUT where can you get everyday shipping of less than $3.00 on ANY item without a specific purchase total???? Most sites may give you free shipping on certain items or on the purchase but that's the one great thing about Overstock.com - It's always this way. Shipping and handling is a make-it or break-it deal with me. I have bought a few things from this site and I've been pleased. Also, I like reading the feedback from others. I wouldn't buy everything from this site but it's worth looking into if your doing comparison shopping.
...

I am always looking for new recipe ideas and this is a great place for that. Not only that, but one of my favorite aspects of this site is that you can choose the ingredients tab and type in a few ingredients and it gives you ideas on what to cook! Great for when you aren't sure what you can make with some misc items in your house. Also great when you have meat and a few key ingredients (soups, rice, etc) but you don't know how to make something tasty with what you have! Plus any recipe that you remember as a kid, throw in a few versions of what you use to call it and sure enough someone will have called it that too and posted it - or something similar to get you going. The other great thing is to read the reviews. Many people give recommendations (add more of something, take this out, etc) and it just fine tunes a recipe to be a great taste. I recommend this website to all my friends and family!
...

This is awesome!!! I have been a member for over a year and it's for real!! I have been on other sites where the rewards are either impossible to earn or never arrive. This is not the case here. You do earn points slower if you do not shop on line but you can still earn points other ways. You earn points by taking surveys, reading emails, visiting sites, shopping on line, playing games, referring friends, taking special offers and more. Most people are already shopping on line so you mine as well get something extra for doing it! They offer special sale prices and free shipping offers for mypoints.com members only and usually those special deals come with bonus points so it's like getting two rewards, the special deal and the points for doing it. I have compared mypoints.com to other "reward" sites and there are some out there that look like they give you more points for your purchaces but they require more to actually redeem your reward. It's free so it's certainly worth a try!
...

I kept being told it was a computer glitch… an IT error… they gave me a $10 credit for my troubles and someone would call me back. Nobody ever called me back. I repeatedly called them and they kept saying the same thing — computer glitch, someone will get back with you. I then went to dispute it with AmEx. The first dispute I opened with AmEx was denied after RueLaLa sent them copies of their internal screenshots showing I was credited. I re-opened the dispute and then sent in copies of all of my screenshots of my account as well as my receipt from UPS for the return package. After 7 more weeks, I received a call from AmEx. They asked me some questions and said they would call me right back. They called RueLaLa and the agent there was unwilling to participate in a 3 way call with me. They told the AmEx agent that they did credit me back and the AmEx...
...

Webkinz are great products. What I like about them is they come in many many varieties and are reasonably priced. They are also well made (unless your dog likes them too - unfortunately for our sea horse one). The supply and demand stays in balance so no one is scrambling for the last Webkinz "chicken". My kid absolutely loves these little guys. Personally I don't understand the draw, but I'm not seven.... They are very reasonably priced which makes it very easy to have a birthday party and when parents ask what she wants I can include Webkinz and not have to worry that I am going to get a bunch of random gifts that will end up in the good will pile shortly. The variety is endless and there are so many that there isn't just one that you HAVE to HAVE. I also like that Costco sells them in two packs (two webkinz for 16.00 is a great deal). We like them so much that we are getting them for our younger nieces for Christmas. Not sure if boys collect them too, we have a family full of girls! ...
...

Just after my daughter was born I found a web site I now love swapmamas.com. The site is the brain child of Darcy Cruwys and uses the tag line of "Smarter, greener & kicking the economy to the curb."

The site is so easy to use just set up a profile and list items you have to swap out and things you are looking for. Then you set up swaps with other moms on the site. No money changes hands and the giver pays the postage but it has worked out great for me.

I've swapped everything from recipes, to coupons, to clothes. My favorite swap however was a Zune; something I couldn't let myself indulge in but when I just had to send out some stuff I had laying around it was perfect.

I LOVE ebay! Ebay has been called the world wide garage sale and it's true.

You can find almost anything on ebay. There are old, vintage items that you discontinued and hard to find. You can find things that are still new in the box and are cheaper than other websites and stores. You can win things for well under the price that it should be.

There is also something fun about going through the auction process with people from all over the world.

Selling on ebay is also a valuable tool to use when you are in need of some extra cash, going through closets and need the space so you decide to get rid of things or as a job. You can successfully sell antiques and tools and things like that.

Things I do not like about ebay...paying for shipping and if you are on the selling side, having to ship items. Finding a box, wrapping the item and then shipping it just isn't always easy!

mbulington says "My Favorite Money Saving website!" about Money Saving Mom

I can't give this website enough praise! It is super user friendly and full of great money saving ideas. It is amazing how much time is put into making this site. I don't even need to go thru the weekly ad's anymore because she does all the work for me! I just clip my weekly coupons and head to her website to find out where the deals are. There are an abundance of links to free samples/items/contests too. What I love about the free samples/items links is the fact that she takes the time to let you know what samples/items she received so you know that the offer are ligitimate. She also gives tons of tips on how to save money (tried and true tips that she has documented from personal experience). She is very througho and includes detailed information and pictures. The site is well organized and easy to navigate. She even has instructions for the newbies to her site about how certain deals work and what the abreviations mean. It only took me a few minutes to get the gist...
...

OldHippie says "Learn From Our Fore-Fathers" about BrainyQuote - Thomas Jefferson

I'm not going to write a lot here. I'm simply going to 'copy & paste' several Thomas Jefferson quotes. And also remind you that "Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it." - George Santayana

See how many past quotes can apply to today's left wing political mistakes.

A wise and frugal government, which shall leave men free to regulate their own pursuits of industry and improvement, and shall not take from the mouth of labor the bread it has earned - this is the sum of good government.

Do you want to know who you are? Don't ask. Act! Action will delineate and define you.

Every government degenerates when trusted to the rulers of the people alone. The people themselves are its only safe depositories.

History, in general, only informs us of what bad government is.

I predict future happiness for Americans if they can prevent the government from wasting the labors of the people under the pretense of taking care of them.

If a nation expects to be ignorant and free, in...
...

dinnerdiva says "Be careful, this company cuts corners when installing service." about DIRECTTV

We moved into our new home 5 years ago. The house was built cable ready. The local cable company only had to hook up their equipment in order to provide service to us. We chose not to use local cable service and to go with DirectTV. Their installer came, hooked up the system and left. Their channel lineup was good and we were happy with the service. We went with AT&T for home telephone and DSL for internet. I have never been happy with AT&T - I think they are a rip off - but that's for another review. Fast forward to this month. Just like most other folks we have been reviewing our income and outgo and decided to make some changes. The local cable company was offering high speed internet and telephone service for about the same cost as AT&T but with higher speed and no long distance charges. We decided to go with it and to keep DirectTV because we were basically happy with the service. The cable company sent someone to hook up the system and found that they could...
...
