We recently took in a litter of six 5-week old Lhasa Apso-mix puppies. They are full of energy and don't like to be left alone in their exercise pen, but their teeth are just coming in and their little mouths are too tiny for most puppy toys. I bought dozens of packages of rawhide toys last week at PetSmart when I saw them marked down to just $1 each in some kind of clearance sale. I didn't really know how much use we'd get out of the Dentley's 3" Basted Bone-Shaped Beef Rawhide Chips until we picked up the puppies and I saw just how teeny tiny they were. — These dog chews are punched out of thin pieces of American beef rawhide into bone-shaped pieces and basted with a beef-flavored coating. They are thin enough for our baby puppies to chew on without any trouble. I've also given them to the two 10-week old terrier-mix puppies that we also took in. Those guys are much larger than the babies, but these chews still took them...

This stuff is costly - for my three cats the food tab comes to about $100 a month. But I wouldn't feed them anything less. — My first cat was raised on cheap supermarket food before I learned better. He was alright, but since I started him on the raw diet his fur has improved, he's lost weight, and he's more active. He still craves the carbs, though, so we have to hide the bread and potato chips. — The other two never ate anything else and they are so glossy and beautiful! — The raw food will be distasteful to those who do not like handling raw meat, but it's more than just meat. The raw food has fruits and veggies in it too - I think the cats eat better than we do, honestly. — The stuff is easy to use, too. Just take out a 'puck' and leave it to defrost in the fridge (or, if you're lazy like me, in the cat bowl). The rest of the time the raw food stays frozen in the freezer. Make sure you have a big freezer. —...

Frontline Plus is worth spending th emoney on each month. I only use it for a few months out of the year. My Chihuahua went on a trip with my husband & I and during the trip 4 ticks discovered her. I was freaked out because I felt like I was constantly having to look her over after she went outside each time (the ticks were at 4 separate times). As soon as we got home I went to my vet and bought Frontline Plus for all our animals. No more ticks! Plus, we have no fleas either. I do not know what I would do if this product were not available. ...

I bought these steps and they are so bulky. I did not like having them at the end of my bed or next to the bed for me to trip over in the middle of the night. I have a Chihuahua who could not even use them and a Pomeranian who did not like them at all & chose not to use them. I was not impressed by these steps at all. I personally like my dogs to stay up on the bed all night so I know there are no accidents when I awake. So, for me there is another benefit to not use them. My dogs are house broke, but the temptation (if there is any) is gone when they cannot jump down while I am asleep. Anyway, to make a long story short...they were tossed! I was very dissappointed with the material used for these steps as well. I felt ripped off when I opened the box....

hoosier072 says "Years of benefits for my animals" about Nature's Recipe Easy-To-Digest Fish Meal & Potato

I have been using Nature's Recipe for my cat & dogs for approx. 10 years now. When I first started buying this food I was told that my animals will digest it easier due to the fact the food has no by-products and there would be less cat box mess and not as many trips outside. This is true!!! I have remained a Nature's Recipe buyer for this reason along with how healthy my animals are. Plus, when I first got my cat her fur was real rough & felt like wire; within a couple of weeks it became soft as a bunny...still is! No more skin allergies either! I love my animals and feel they should eat just as well as we do (except no people food). I think Natures Recipe is the answer- at least it is for my animals! I wish more stores carried this food!!!! I have to travel approx. 30 minutes to get it, but it is worth it to me!...

As a Boxer owner, or as I sometimes refer to myself as......... "duke's human friend", I sit back and think of a time around the house BEFORE BOXERS when it was quiet and not having toys laid all over the floor, and most disgusting........not having slobber draped down the window as if he's trying to do some sort of art work on the way to the store. We recently bought a convertible, I never knew you could make a slobbering 85 pound animal so happy. Boxers are a dog that once you have one......... you'll never stray from that breed....

I am also a strong supporter of Goldens. We have owned them since 1995 when my husband suprised me with our first Golden, Duke. His owner was an older gentleman who was going through a divorce and could not keep him. He was about 5 yrs old & full of spunk & life. A few years later we got Dutchess from a young couple who had bought her as a puppy but did not have time for her (she was 8 months old). In 2001, Duke & Dutchess (both pure bred) had a liter of puppies which is how we ended up with Ginger. Have I mentioned that my dogs are all house dogs? We have a large, furry home. LOL — In 2003 Dutchess got out of our fenced in backyard and was by a vehicle. In 2006 Duke suffered a stroke and had to be put down. We cried so hard over both, they were the smartest dogs we have ever owned! — Ginger was lonely so later in 2006 we found Cody, also a purebred Golden. What a dork! They all have that little something that makes them unique but that little boy is full of...
