Lucy344 says "I tried Special kitty canned when Fancy Feast went up in price" about Special Kitty cat food

One of our two cats had diabetes and was on insulin but we got him off it by feeding only certain varieties of Fancy Feast. I got the idea from the Feline Diabetic Association. They had listed canned foods that were healthy, claiming that cats do not need vegetables or wheat, corn or any of the fillers in dry foods and many canned ones and that some canned foods are low in carbohydrates for overweight cats.. They are meant to be strict carnivores. Anyway, Special Kitty was listed as one of the canned foods on the list so I went and bought some after finding Fancy Feast had gone up 7 cents a can in our local store. I tried it and it smelled awful and the two hungry cats walked away. I could also see solid pieces of grisol and other things in it and it was hard to scrape out of the can.

I think I'll go back to those few varieties of Fancy Feast--our cats' health is too important to fool around with. I don't like or trust Walmart and know they will do anything to cut prices....
...

Verdelle531 says "Healthy and cats love it" about Natural Balance Ultra Dry Cat Food

Prior to switching my cats, 7 month old kittens at the time, to this food, they experienced digestive problems with other brands or disliked the taste. I was looking for a healthy dry food, that had no fillers, animal-by-products, or artificial additives. Natural Balance Original Ultra, Ultra Premium dry cat food is great! It provides balanced, high quality nutrition to cats in various stages of development, from kittens to adulthood in small, bite-size pieces. The food is highly digestible and has great ingredients. My cats readily eat it, many times preferring it to canned meals and have not had any allergies or digestive issues. Their coats are smooth and shiny, and I have noticed less shedding as well as increased energy. I have only seen it sold in pet supply stores versus grocery stores, but the high quality ingredients and nutritious benefits of Natural Balance are well-worth the extra dollars. Highly recommended!
...

Verdelle531 says "Nature's Miracle...not so miraculous litter" about Nature's Miracle Clumping Cat Litter

Although I agree with previous reviews about this litter's pleasant fresh pine scent and its ability to minimize odors, while being dust-free unlike many clay litters, I was disappointed with the high level of tracking I experienced. Despite using various types of litter mats, my two cats' paws and fur were covered in the saw-dust like particles and shavings, which ended up on the sofa, pillows, and carpet. The cats made grimaces as they licked themselves off. From the other environment-friendly litters I have tried, this may be the brand of choice since the other pine and wheat litters do not seem to cover up odors as well. Nonetheless, the pine/sawdust tracking was just too much for me and my cats....
...

I have found Fresh Step Cat Litter to be the absolute best at controlling litter box odors, having pretty much experimented with every other brand on the market. None of the organic or clay litters controlled for odor as well as this brand. With two female cats, I use Fresh Step for Multiple Cat Households, which scores points for doing a great job of keeping offensive odors at minimum for up to a month with regular scooping and is not as costly as other litters claiming to do the same thing. Great value! My only criticism would be the dustiness, but I have yet to find a clumping clay litter that is not dusty. Pretty much all of them are dusty; however, this one is excellent in keeping my apt smelling fresh. One other litter comes close, and is slightly less dusty--but is a little more expensive (Everclean Multiple Cat). Good luck!
...

We are the proud owners of six house cats. Litter box maintenance is very important to us. When people come over they are always surprised to hear we have even one cat; we do not have litterbox odor in our house.

Finding Hartz Nodor was the best thing that has happened to us. I've used it on the scoopable litter and it has instant results, no smell! I've also used it to spay while I'm scooping the box when the litter was too dusty. It brought the dust right down.

I recommend Hartz Nodor to everyone who has a cat no matter if it's one cat or ten. It has become a staple in our household.
...

I have to admit when I first put Arm and Hammer Essential Climping Litter in the litter box, I was not sure my cat or I would like it much.. It is totally different. It is flakes.

The first time the cat used it I could smell you know what all through my home, the cat took a day or two to learn to really dig down and cover what was there. This litter is softer than other clumping litters, Its a bit like digging in the sand, it keep falling back in the hole, but this is not sand or gravel or clay, it is dustless, I have breathing problems and this is important to me. Once he learned to cover everything, my home became ordor free. It is neater and easier to remove the clumps, it is light and fluffy.

The box said it would last twice as long. I said okay we will see. Well it really does last longer.

The bag does not weight 40lbs so it is easier to handle. I really love this litter, it is great!!!

Although I followed the directions carefully for the change from regular litter, my cats never liked the Tidy Cats Breeze Litter System. I could tell from their litter box behavior that they did not like the way it felt on their feet. Even with diligent cleaning and changing the pad, their litter habits became poor and they would not use the litter box. I eventually changed back to the clumping litter I had used prior to the switch to the Breeze Litter System. The cats are happy with the old litter and I don't have to clean up any outside the litter box statements....

This is not only a fun toy for cats and pet parents, but it has also won awards for Product Excellence (Gold Retailer Select), Editor's Choice (Cat Fancy), Best New Cat Product (Global Pet Expo) and Best in show (Global Pet Expo).

It was the awards that sold me when I was shopping for something new for my girls and it's was my girls reactions that made me happy I made my choice.

This is a battery operated (3 AA batteries) toy that is a simple multi colored string that goes around on an elastic belt...pulls the string up and when it gets to the front the string drops and my girls were pouncing, jumping and trying like crazy to capture the string. They both were having a blast. Scrappy (three years old) and Snickers (one year old). Doesn't matter what age...it gets them off their furry little tushies and keeps them going.

A snap to put together. place batteries in and turn it on (so easy). This two has two speeds and it hangs on an ordenary door knob so you don't have to worry...
...

I have a cat that is extremely fussy. She needs to have her food varied, but the problem is, she doesn't like very many cat foods. I have tried all the treats out there, and she likes a few different brands. Temptations is the brand I can count on for her to continue to eat. She "asks" for them every night. I mix other brands in with them. Sometimes she'll eat the others, sometimes not. Even though my cat likes mostly fish flavored cat food, she will eat the different flavors of Temptations. Beef, chicken, dairy, etc. often see other people buying Temptations when I am in the cat food isle of the supermarket. I think the price is reasonable for the size of the pouches and the quality of the product.
...

I have three cats, 2 that are inside-outside cats and one that had her front claws removed before I adopted her. Fresh Step Multi-cat is the only scoopable litter I will use. Prissy, Hailey Belle and Blue Boy have never had a problem with this cat litter. I have had other cat litter that they will not use. I have two separate litter boxes so there is always one available. One thing I do not like about other litters is that you can tell when there is a cat in the house. With Fresh Step Multi-cat you would never know that we had cats in the house. It really does control the odor. We really do like the scoop style cat litter also. With Fresh Step Multi-cat the litter does scoop very well. We clean the litter boxes in the morning before work and in the evening before bed. The litter does track a little bit, but no more than any other scoopable litter. It is a managable problem. Prissy, Hailey Belle and Blue Boy thank you Fresh Step!
...

I got my first car a couple months ago and had no idea the costs I would incur by having a pet. My little kitty was a rescue so she had to go to the vet immediately and get all of her shots and tests. While I was there, the vet recommended that I use Frontline every month for flea and tick prevention. I picked up a three month supply while I was there and after I gave her her first treatment, it started working about 24 hours later. We have a minature pincher too...and you definitely have to make sure both animals are treated around the same time to make sure the medicine works the best it can. When I bought the second wave of treatment for our kitty, I purchased it off of Amazon.com and got an amazing deal. I went to all of the pet care websites and shopped around for prices and even with coupons and discounts, Amazon was still the cheapest. I haven't tried any other flea and tick treatment, so I may be biased, but I would 100% recommend this product to my friends.
...

mimosette says "NO Odor, no tracking everywhere!" about Feline Pine Scoop Clumping

We simply love this litter. I think everyone else does, too, because it tends to stay sold out much of the time at our grocery store.

Feline Pine is compacted sawdust nuggets, all natural, and we like the faint pine scent. The cats can't kick it or track it out of the litter box like they do the clay litters, so we have much less mess. It coveres the smells of both urine and feces well in our multi-cat house hold. We do scoop the solid waste out daily and remove. When the litter needs to be changed, it will turn back to sawdust,

The price is a wee bit more than cheap clay litter, but we get far more usage from this bag than from a similarly sized bag of other brands, as you only need to put about 2 inches down in the bottom of the litter pan.And no dust to make sensitive noses sneezy! Feline Pine weighs much less in the box than clay litter, which is another huge plus for me when emptying the box for cleaning.
...

I have been in animal rescue for 11 years. I have advised hundreds of people to stop using Purina food when they complain about how much their dogs and cats poop, up to 3 or 4 times a day. Every single one on follow up reported their animals changed to once a day elimination. It is obvious that more of the food was being utilized by the animals instead of filler and passing through unused. I always support the Nutro product reps when I see them in the stores.

My vet approves of this line of food and it is much less expensive than many other comparable brands. There are indeed other lines out there that are good, however they are either more expensive or my cats would not eat them. I have never had a problem with any of my cats eating every single type of food and since I have multiple cats that have lived to very old age, I can stay with Nutro and change to the indoor or senior types as needed.
...

Give your pet 9 lives and show them how much you care. It is cat, family and vet recommended. I have three cats and one of which is 3 years old and is so picky she will eat nothing but 9 lives. I have tried all the special cat foods and even the fancy feast foods, but she will eat only 9 lives. 9 Lives has a varity of select foods that are full of flavor for any cats taste and packed with all the vitiams and nutrients that growing kitties need to become adult healthy cats. Feeding them healthy is a good way to show your cats how much you care. Trust me from experience, they will see your devotion and love for it and there is nothing more...
...

I like using the best cat litter I can find. Scoop away is one of those cat litters that makes it easier on you to clean up after your cat. Fresh smelling bathrooms or any where else you keep the litter box is a good thing so your house doesn't smell.

One thing about cats that I know is that if it isn't fresh they won't use it. Cats are very clean animals and its up to you to make them happy. So, going out and buying the best cat litter for your cat is important. Make them happy is your concern. Love your cat and they will love you righ back.

Scoop away cat litter isn't real exspecive but its worth spending the money to keep your house smelling good. Cats are picky about lots of things and if you can't do something worth while for your cat then I gues you don't love your cat.

I like scoop away cat litter because its very easy to clean out. It makes clumps so its easier to scoop out. You don't haveto dump the litter all the tme to clean it. So, that's a major plus.
...

Not having experienced this before I did not know what to do. I went to Petco and they sold me the Spot On Plus by Zodiac. I followed the directions and applied the ointment on the cats per the directions. And after three weeks we are still where we were before. The fleas are still present on the cats and they are still suffering. It is horrible. This product should be on the shelves. I did some research on it and noticed many people complaining about it. I should have researched first but I trusted them. Don't waste your money on this product.
...

queenbess1914 says "I'm proud to be a Frugal Guru--Arm and Hammer Clumping Litter" about Arm & Hammer kitty litter

Hi it's your Frugal Guru with another honest review. As you know, I'm a 44 year-old lady with two wonderful cats and NO I'm not a Cat Lady, well maybe, LOL. They are they best companions and thank goodness they are not picky about the clumping litter I buy. However, we live in an extremely tiny apartment and it is imperative that I use a litter with exceptional odor control. Have you ever been trapped in a tiny space with cat urine odors? It is one of the foulest odors ever. I've used Tidy Cat, Scoop Away, Special Kitty, and Cat's Pride clumping litters, but the best by far is Arm and Hammer Multi-Cat Extra Strength Clumping Litter with ammonia block baking soda crystals. When I scoop the litter box, a very pleasant, but not over whelming; fragrance is released. It clumps very well and it last a lot longer than other clumping litters so you don't have change it as often. Although Arm and Hammer litter cost about $2 more than Special Kitty (our usually brand), I'm willing...
...

Choirgirl8 says "Tidy Cat Scoopable litter is the only litter I will ever use!" about Tidy Cats Tidy Cats Scoopable Cat Litter

Tidy Cat Scoopable Cat litter is the only kind of cat litter my family will use. We have tried every kind there is. We had major trouble either with the other kinds bothering the cats or us. Tidy cat is the best and most dust free form I have ever found. We have 6 cats in our household and it is also very important that our cat litter control odor. Nothing has ever worked as well for this than Tidy Cat Scoopable litter. The bottom line is it is highly effective with very little dust. I would highly recommend Tidy Cat to anyone with indoor cats. It is also extremely cost effective. My daughter who has trouble breathing with the other scoopable litters has absolutely no trouble with Tidy Cat. After running through all of the trial and error of using all the other types of scoopable cat litter I will never switch brands again! Most of the time their are coupons for this product and it is often on sale as well which is a bonus!!
...

Hi it's your Frugal Guru with another honest review. As you know, I'm a 44 year-old lady with two wonderful cats and NO I'm not a Cat Lady, well maybe, LOL. We live in an extremely tiny apartment and it's imperative that I use a litter with exceptional odor control. I'm trying to find my niche by freelancing via the internet, so I'm forced to be very frugal even to the point that I often do without for my cats. Recently, I purchased Cat's Pride Scoopable Litter at Lowes Foods. The 14lb container was on sale and I had a $1 off printable coupon from MyPoints.com, the cost $4.23. A real bargain right? I tried this litter over a year ago, so I forgot that Cat's Pride is the WORST scoopable litter I have ever tried. The granules are too fine thus the litter does not clump urine. When you scoop the litter box the clumps just break apart. As for odor control, there is NONE. If I were to receive Cat's Pride Scoopable Litter for free, I WOULD NOT uses it. I would donate it...
...
