FrameWrights says "ALDIs Is A Hit" about Aldi Food Stores

ALDIs is a dream come true during a time of high oil and gasoline prices. At ALDI the prices on staples such as milk, sugar, eggs, orange juice, cereal, frozen shrimp, salmon are the prices of a year or more ago at the "regular" markets. I belong to Sam's Club and have realized that ALDIs prices are LESS than Sam's most of the time! I love the German coffee, German preserves, Austrian chocolate. I don't eat processed food, so a lot of what ALDIs carries does not interest me, but some of the produce is good such as potatoes, onions and apples. The tomato sauce is comparable to Newman's Own, although I do have to read the lables carefully as we do not eat anything with high fructose corn syrup in it and the five cheese tomato sauce does contain it, whereas the marinara does not. So between Trader Joe's, ALDIs and Sam's Club, my grocery bill is between 25-35% less than in a traditional market such as Stop & Shop. Now I don't have to hunt...

BlueyedTigris says "They know what they are doing...." about Walmart

You get great survice at anytime, and they always know what you need even if its not in their department. With all the work they have to do it always seems well orginized, even though they have to deal with people putting things away wrong or not at all, misbehaving children and rude people they still keep a smile on their face and to their work the best that they can. I have never seen anything out of place whenever i go and i always get what i need and then some... —...

Telpher says "Get Your Say with a Talking Greeting card" about Hallmark Personalized Greeting Cards

As I've mentioned many times, my mom is legally blind. She and I are really close, and I always send her a card and gift on Mothers' Day, in addition to phoning her. Since she started to lose her sight, I've felt kindof funny about sending her cards. Since she can't see much of anything, someone always has to read cards and letters to her. There's nothing top secret about the notes and cards I send my mom, but she is, after all, an adult, and she does have a right to privacy. Sending email is pretty good, because she can set her PC to read text out loud to her. When it comes to a handwritten, note, though...she's dependent on others. — This year I decided to go with one of Hallmark's personalized greeting cards. I know they're somewhat gimmicky, but I figured they could be used as assistive technology for the blind. — They're simple to use. Each card has a tiny computer chip imbedded in it. When pressed, the chip records and saves sound. You can record over and...

TheBard says "Why I don't shop at Wal-Mart" about Walmart

Bottom-Line: The truth is that with a little work (clipping coupons, catching sales, buying from different stores including on-line venues) I can still lower the cost of groceries and other goods without going to Wal-Mart. — Okay, I'll admit it, like most working and middle-class Americans I jumped on the "Always Low Prices" Wal-Mart express when a store open in my city. Like most my family is on a budget; we watch what we spend and where, in an effort to not only put away some money for savings and prevent to paycheck-to-paycheck way of living. — But somewhere between the cluttered aisles, cheap clothes, cheaper goods, and not so cheap prices, I started to ask myself a few question; chiefly what was this persistent quest for low prices costing our culture and society in terms of cost of living, jobs, national defense, etc.? And those questions deepened after I viewed PBS' Frontline episode entitled Is Wal-Mart Good for America? In the story...

williampinn says "My Viewpoint of the Spiritual Realm" about The spiritual realm

What is the origin of all things? If we eliminate matter, energy, time and space, what do we have left? A single point infinitely small containing virtually nothing--not even time and space. A point of origin for all things including itself. — Each of us is made of an infinite number of these points. They make up the lines and shapes that we see when we look at your image. They are the essence of you and everything else. They are immaterial and spiritual. Your image, the visual element of your soul, can be captured on film. Note that your image can exist apart from your flesh and blood--your material self. — The same can be said of your voice and personality which can exist apart from your flesh when you are video taped. Perhaps someday it will even be possible to download your thoughts and free will onto a disk. Your thoughts can certainly be recorded with written words and tape. — All that I have described is possible only because you are not simply flesh and...

i have sold partylite in the past simply for my own buying/using habits. i was introduced to partylite about 7 years ago and i've been hooked every since. i have allergies and these candles do not bother me at all. they always burn evenly and they burn cooly so if the wax does get on your skin it will not cause 3rd degree burns i love looking at the catalogs and seeing what all new holders they have come out with. i use no other candles and find it rude when people give me other candle brands for...

Telpher says "Great stuff - if only the packaging weren't to cheap" about Sculpey Oven Bake Clay

For several years, I had use of a great pottery studio and kiln. I even had my own wheel, at home, and a make-shift raku kiln at our last residence. We now live in one of San Francisco's outer neighborhoods. There are no ceramics studios nearby and, since I don't have a car, hauling clay and supplies to and from a studio that's a significant walk and train ride away, doesn't really interest me. Not to mention how expensive joining a ceramics studio in SF can be! — A few months ago I bought a package of Sculpey Oven bake Clay. I've used Sculpey before. It's great stuff for anyone who wants to work with clay, but doesn't have access to a kiln. In short, Sculpey specializes in modeling compounds that harden in a conventional oven. You can't make dishes or other items used to consume food from with Sculpey, but it's great stuff for doing clay modeling and sculpture, which is what I was looking to do. — Sculpey comes in a variety of colors, but also comes in terra cotta - it...

I've used both the LifeFitness 95 Te and the LifeFitness 95Ti. This is my comparison.Sizes and Weights — The 95Te weighs a heavy 436 pounds. Don't expect to be moving it when you have guests over. It measures 64 inches high by 37 inches wide by 83 inches long. — The 95Ti weighs just slightly less at 431pounds. It measures 63.5 inches high by 37 inches wide by 83 inches long. The 1/2 inch different is insignificant. — They both have the same maximum user weight of a nice hefty 400 pounds. — Warranties — You'll get the same very good warranty on both machines. LifeFitness You'll get a life time warranty on the motor and frame; two years on the electrical parts. — The Belts — Belts are really important to me and they should be to you also especially if you have any problems with your feet or you are very tall. — The belts on both machines is 60 inches long by 20 inches wide.

A common scam is rearing it's ugly head again. We received a call from Olympia Supply Company 2831 N. San Fernando Blvd. Burbank CA 91504-2521 Phone (818) 846-6466 Fax (818) 846-4019. — — It works like this. They call up to confirm a delivery or tell you they are sending their "Regular" delivery to you. For Olympia it was Packing tape. It could be any type of product but Packing tape or Toner Refills seem to be in vogue now. — — They will ask to confirm your address and for a name. They will put the name taken on the Bill of Lading. The product will come and then a bill will come fairly soon after. The price for the tape is usually 3-5 times the normal price if you sourced it from a normal supplier. — — Since we receive many deliveries a day for different departments no one will stop to scrutinize the delivery. The product is now in your hands. When the bill comes it goes to accounts payable who will then send it to the...

Recently, I received a gift for my birthday that I really could not use. I went to exchange it at the Target Store where it was purchased. I drove an hour and 15 minutes so I could get it back to the store it was purchased at. I didn't have the receipt because the gift giver lost it so I was just going to exchange it for something that I really wanted for my garden. NOT! They don't do refunds (which I expected) OR EXCHANGES (didn't expect) unless you have a receipt. In addition, you can only do two refunds or exchanges per year WITH a receipt and only then if the item cost under $20, so if you have a big party or wedding or shower and you get more than two duplicates from Target...forget it! — You're stuck with the gift whether you like it or not. Just thought I let everyone know the policy before you shop there for a gift for someone.
Having two young girls can be a lot of work. They require constant attention and supervision, not to mention the need for an occasional babysitter or a visit to the doctor. But even though much work is necessary to raise happy, healthy kids, there is also plenty of time for fun and the world wide web offers many different web sites that are focused mainly on the entertainment needs of children. Two sites we visit and utilize throughout the week are Crayola.com and Familyfun.com Let's see how these two web sites stack up: — What Do These Web Services Offer?: — Crayola.com and Familyfun.com are two web sites that are all about children, keeping them entertained, and teaching them to be creative.
