I really love my eSportId. As an avid marathon runner and weight lifter I use this product everyday. I recently took a new job and was easily able to update my new medical insurance information in minutes. The best part was that I didn't have to buy a new id. I love the eSportId because I can update my information whenever it changes and it is only a one time cost. — — —...

I just purchased the eSportID on line from High Tech Sports Gear. This is an updatable emergency ID band that I use on my runs and long bike legs. In case I am in an accident it has all the information emergency anyone need to identify me along with my medical history, insurance information and medications. I have been looking for something like this for a long time. I have used the RoadID in the past. The problem was the RoadID is a metal engraved plate. It allowed me to have 4 lines of text engraved. I tend to move and my emergency contact information changes so I was looking for something that was updatable. The eSportID is a neat product that is USB based. I plugged it in to my computer and a four page form came up. I filled in the information on the form and clicked save. It saved the info back on to the band and that was all I had to do. — I just purchased another eSportID for my...

jps246 says "Protect your important items while boating" about Pelican #1020 Micro Case

I like to make sure my important items are protected when I'm out in a canoe or a kayak. I don't want to have my wallet sitting at the bottom of the lake or have my camera floating away. — That's why I got myself the Pelican 1020 Case. — It's made from strong plastic and is waterproof and crushproof. It gives me a enough room for my car keys, my camera, my wallet and even my cell phone. It pretty much guarantees that my valuables will be safe on my boating trip. — The case measures 6 inches by 4.75 inches and is 2 inches thick on the outside. Inside the case, that translates into a usable area of about 5 and a half inches by 3 and a half inches by just over 1 and a half inches. It's not a huge area, but it's enough for what I have and it makes sure that they all stay dry. — The case is waterproof and seals itself tight when you close it. You can splash and submerge it and it won't leak. Should you get it deep enough underwater, it even...

jps246 says "A great synthetic shirt for outdoor sports" about REI Tech Tee

I discovered REI's Tech Tee a few years ago and I've found that it's a great shirt for outdoor activities. It's a breathable synthetic shirt that can wick moisture away from your skin and makes a good all-around base layer for most outdoor activities. — The Tech Tee is made of the synthetic MTS fabric. This fabric is designed to wick the moisture away from your skin so that you stay dry and that the shirt itself dries quickly. On top of the MTS fabric, the shirt is treated with an anti-microbial finish that cuts down on the amount of odor causing bacteria that could grow on the synthetic fibers. Of the Tech Tees that I've bought, I've found that they tend to be made with a relaxed fit. They're slightly large for each size so they are somewhat loose, but not overwhelming large when you are wearing them. — There's a bit of a synthetic feel to the Tech Tee, but it's not as noticeable as some other synthetic shirts. I often don't even...

SNICKS says "GREAT FAMILY SPORT" about Bowling

Got my son into bowling about 3 years ago. I have always loved sports, but he just wasn't into them. He started out with an 88 average, and how, at 17, has a 135 in his summer league. He loves it, and last winter his team came in second, although they did win the first half of the season. They had a great year, and worked hard for their trophies. He's so happy about getting throphies, and now is considering bowling as a possible profession. He keeps working on his average and is getting closer to having a 200 game. His highest game in the summer league is a 191, and he's determined to get the 200 before the summer's out. I'm so glad he was able to find a sport that let's him be himself but also helps work on team work as well. He feels accepted by his team and that's great for his self...

He was the first NASCAR driver that I LOVED, and got me into the sport. I really love to root for him although a lot of my friends hate/dislike him, I still root for him!!!

Last fall, my husband signed up for a limited trial of Nascar Track Pass. He is one who always tries to read the fine print, but imagine our surprise when our credit card statement this month reflected a fresh new charge for the new race year. My husband called the number on our credit card bill which led him to Turner Sports Interactive. Where he had an extremely difficult time even finding a human to talk to, when he did, the representative basically said too sad too bad, there's nothing you can do about it. Cancel now so you aren't charged for it again next year. He asked to speak to a supervisor. no satisfaction there either.. SO he called Nascar and talked to someone in brand marketing, who was at least nice but had no idea how to help. My husband isn't done with seeking out some satisfaction, but while searching the web found another one who blogged on the same experience. Just beware of signing up for any trials on...

fargasch says "A treat to look forward to on long runs." about Jelly Belly Sport Beans

i tried them on my run this afternoon. i had one packet of lemon-lime flavor at around mile 7 of the 14.2-mile run. i was surprised! they taste really good, much better than any of my favorite gels. ok, so they're not as easy to eat as gels are, but the taste made them worth it for me. they were just as easy to carry, though. it must have taken me about 10 minutes to finish the little 100-calorie packet, during which i walked, as i didn't want to spill the contents of the packet... i'm not complaining. it was a much needed walk break, and the only one i took. but if you're not into taking walk breaks, this may be an awkward product for you. being the spaz that i am, i wouldn't have been able to eat them beans without walking. :-) i drank lots of water with them, as i do with gels, too. i didn't slow down on the second half of the run, and i finished with even splits. — overall, i give them a 9 out of 10, due to the difficulty of eating them while running. when you tear the bag...

so this pamphlet for a quite unusual product was in my goodie bag last month at the high desert 50k. as i went through the contents of the bag in my hotel room, like a kid opening christmas presents, the yellow piece of paper gave me a good laugh. how do people come up with such ideas? anyway, at the end of the race the next day, they had small prizes for every runner. my prize was a bottle of succeed caps and a snot spot! it sat in my running box for almost a month, until i decided to give it a try yesterday on the octrailrunners 12-mile run through o'neill regional park. — as stated on the pamphlet, snot spot is a fleece nose wiper. well, i do suffer from "runner's nose", that annoying drip during runs, especially in colder temperatures. the fleece is really soft, so it doesn't irritate the skin as when using a wrist band or your shirt sleeve. and most importantly, it does work. i was able to keep the drip under control throughout the entire run, and when i got home i hand...

kid-kansas says "Chalk up your tip with the best!" about Silver Cup Chalk, Inc. Billiard Chalk

Some places you go with pool tables will use any cheap chalk they can get and thats not good. These cheap chalks won't stick to the tip much less allow you to have any type of good ball control. A quality chalk will evenly coat the tip and prevent the tip from sliding off the impact point with the cue ball. — — Silver Cup Billiard Chalk — — Made right here in the U.S.A. in Macon Georgia, Silver Cup Chalk has been in business since 1990. Their billiard chalk comes in many colors as well to match your table. While some think the colors are not useful, owners of a pool table will disagree with you. Felt gets chalk all over it as you play and if your chalk isn't a close match to your felt it looks real bad. My table has dark blue felt, so I use a chalk that matches my table. A very old rumor around some pool halls is that the color of the chalk determines how well it works. This is not true at all as they all are made the same except the addition...

Without regard to winning or losing - this business seems to think we owe them. — As a consumer, the treatment of fans by sports franchises in general is abominable. Think about it! — To buy a ticket - you are nearly forced to go through TicketMaster - where the prices are jacked up an additional 30-50% as a "convenience charge". The box office refuses to take a ticket order by phone and leave the tickets at the "Will Call" window, presumably because that would decrease their kick-backs from TicketMaster. — Let the Pacers stick their hands into my pockets twice for tickets — Parking - Parking prices are jacked up due to the kick-back to the team on parking rates. — The Pacers stick their hands into my pockets a 3rd time. — At the door, the team frisks me to prevent me from bringing my own drinking water or refreshments. Not even the movie theaters do that! Nope the team gets a cut from concessions so they want to maximize...

Okay you bought you a bike and when you sit on it your tush hurts like heck, if your like me you prefer a softer seat. When I first got my bike last year I made it about 5 minutes and had to get off because the seat was tearing me up. — — Bell Anatomical Seat Pad — — Pad is a little bit of a misnomer, it is more like a cover instead as it covers the entire seat and actually hides all but the post. All you do is loosen the drawstring and slide it over your bike seat, then pull it tight and tie a knot. The pad is a nice thick gel that they refer to as "Gelfusion +" It is very soft and Anatomically correct. As it conforms to your Tush in a nice way. It has a slip resistant material that contacts with the seat to keep you from sliding around. It really does make the ride much more enjoyable and lets you ride as long as you like. — — It relieves the pain from your pressure points as you sit on it and the drawstring keeps it securely in...

The exceptions to hard to find tickets are women's volleyball (free) and women's basketball ($8.00 adults, $3.00 kids). It is especially expensive to try to get tickets to any of the Virginia Tech football games. Although the university has expanded it's capacity for football seating, they still need to provide MORE!
