twinglemom says "Great to keep in top running shape all year long!" about under armour ColdGear Leggings

Under Armour Cold Gear Leggings are used in my family for everything from winter travel ball, running, outside work obligations, yard work, to sledding. Everyone stays nice and warm, but not sweaty and clammy. My daughter ripped hers on a nail on her sled. They did not run or pull and I was able to stitch up the rip easily. These are a must have for every family...

JovialCougar says "The perfect size gym sack for a quick workout." about Nike Gym Sack

When I use the workout room in my apartment complex I often want to bring along a water bottle, a towel, and sometimes even a book if I plan to ride the exercise bike for a while. It started getting awkward to cart all this stuff around, but I didn't want to bring a great big gym bag either. Luckily I found the Nike Gym Sack, which has been perfect for my needs. — The Nike Gym Sack is made of 100% nylon and has a cotton cord through the top to cinch it shut. The cord is affixed to the bottom of the bag. The gym sack measures about 17" top to bottom and about 12" across. The bag does not have much rigidity except near the bottom, where some plastic piping gives it some structure. — The interior is pretty roomy and of course is very flexible. I can easily stick in a water bottle and the towel, then set a newspaper or book on top. The fact that its nylon is also good, in case the bottle drips or there is moisture on the towel. — The Nike Gym Sack is best cleaned...

We elected to spend our meagre entertainment/vacation budget on a backyard swimming pool. Prices for park district passes have become costly and there is still driving back and forth to facilities with no guarantee on a hot day that you will get in. We bought this nifty pool that has an inflatable top ring and then you fill...the top ring floats upwards with the water level until the pool is full. The box comes fully complete with a filter, a strainer, one filter motor, and even a vacuum attachment and hose along with a ladder. The kits come in varying sizes and depths and prices adjust according to size, but the entire enterprise, pool, chlorine tablets, even some floating inner tubes set us back less than $350 which according to our calculations is basically a couple family outings to places like the zoo or amusement parks or museums, especially with gas prices what they are. And we certainly expect to get more than two days use out of this. The...

If you are looking for an introductory kayak that will let you enjoy some paddling and won't cost a ton of money, you should take a look at Old Town Canoe's Otter Kayak. The reasonably priced boat gives you plenty of features in a small and easily manageable size that should give you a good first taste of kayaking. — The Otter is 9 ½ feet long, about 28 ½ inches (a little over 2 feet) wide, about a foot in height, the cockpit opening is 19 inches by 38 inches and it weighs about 39 pounds. This makes it one of the smaller recreational kayaks out there. Even though it's on the small side, the Otter can generally accommodate most paddlers. The cockpit is slightly oversized when compared to other similar boats and the length and width of the boat is more than enough for all but the tallest of paddlers. — While the boat is rated to hold up to 225 pounds, I've found you can go up to at least 250 pounds of weight without affecting the performance of...

BetsyCardioAddict says "out of date videos; zero results" about Urban Rebounder Fitness System

I am an a cardio enthusiast who has tried it all. I purchased this fitness program and trampoline for $100+ hoping to find some excitement in my routine but I was disappointed — —

The Urban Rebounding program gave me no results after 4 months of use. The trampoline was heavy, difficult to open/close, and bulky (not easy to store as the ad bragged). The instructor is a middle-aged man who hoots and hollers and eggs himself on (yes, he actually calls out his own name at multiple points in the video.) The backup women I actually found very annoying (see the woman to the right of the screen). There are a few other videos out there that include 'alternatives' such as yoga bound and ballet bound but you could easily do yoga and ballet without a trampoline and get a much better workout — —

As far as cardio goes there are much better systems out there that are more cost-efficient and offer better results. — —

I would not recommend this program — —...

geomodel says "Wipe Me with a Snot Spot!" about Snot Spot

Supposedly, men's jackets have buttons on the sleeves because Napoleon got tired of watching soldiers wipe their noses on their sleeves. Whether that's true or not, anyone who spends much time outdoors in the cold is familiar with those little yellow icicles that form at the tip of your nose. Wipe it on your sleeve? Have you paid to have a winter coat dry-cleaned lately? Wipe it on your glove? Ummmm, gross... — There's a solution: Snot Spot! This triangular swatch of soft fleece is exactly what the doctor ordered for runny-nose days. There's a loop at one end to fit around a finger and a loop at the other to fit around your wrist, providing a soft surface for that quick swipe across your upper lip. The fleece is almost self-cleaning - a few minutes later, there's almost no sign that you ever used it. If it gets too icky for your tastes, you can wash it by hand in the sink - it dries in a couple of hours - or throw it in the washer with your socks. — Snot Spot's available...

My husband was so disappointed in the selection of hiking boots he tried at a major sporting goods store, he bought a new pair of insoles to make his existing boots comfortable for a little while longer until he could find, "The perfect boot." He found those perfect boots when he tried on a pair of Garmont Flash XCR Hiking Boots! Garmont is a trusted brand, well known for its durability. When my husband first tried them on and began walking around the store, he immediately noticed how comfortable the insole was. The boots were sturdy but flexible, providing excellent support especially around the ankle. The great looks were icing on the cake. After many class B and a few Class C hikes, my husband reports, "They feel like new!" The soles maintain a solid grip on boulders, even in light rain conditions. They even maintain superior traction on skree and under gravel-like conditions. The Garmont Flash XCRs are not as...

Is your pool table boring? Would you rather have snazzy balls? Then you need to get a set of these beautiful Marbleized Billiard Balls and go from boring to Snazzy! — — Vigma Milky Way Marbleized Pool Balls — — These are beautiful with the swirls on each ball and no 2 balls look alike. Each one is the regulation size and weight that are used by the professionals. They are 2 1/4" in diameter and weigh in at 6oz each. If you are familiar with billiards then you know the yellow balls are the #1 and #9 ball, that the blue balls are the #2 and #10 balls if not the numbers are very easy too see with the bright white centers and the vivid black numbers. — — A little hint on colors and numbers.....the same color balls are 8 numbers apart. so the pairings go 1/9, 2/10, 3/11, 4/12, 5/13, 6/14, 7/15 and then the 8 ball. with the colors going yellow, blue, red, purple, orange, green, maroon and black. — — We have had these...

If you ever walked into a billiard parlor then you have seen the wall racks with cue sticks on them, or perhaps you know someone with their own table. Most house sticks are one piece and crooked, or the tips are shot. Any serious billiard player owns their own stick and each reflects the personality of the owner. You can buy sticks that range from $10 into the Thousands depending on what your willing to spend. I bought my first stick when I was 18 years old and I still use it to this day! — — About Viking — — Viking has been around since the early 60's when founder Gordon Hart hand made 2 piece pool cues in the basement of his poolroom in Stoughton, Wisconsin. Viking Cue Mfg. was incorporated in 1965 and Viking Cues were used by many top pros. — — Viking still believes in quality and it shows to this day, they assemble the butt sections by hand thus insuring a straight cue stick for the consumer.
