jjann321 says "Don't buy into the cool advertisements!!!!" about Warrior Super Mac Daddy

I recently purchased the 15" Warrior MacDaddy ice hockey gloves from HockeyMonkey.com. After 5 weeks of use (approx 12 hours of ice time) the palm on the left glove ripped. The company states the 'lightweight nylon' as being tough and pro-hockey (NHL) grade but I will tell you now it is as strong and as thick as about 3 layers of cheesecloth. Really, if they would have used an old t-shirt they would have been better off in their product. Needless to say I contacted the retailer (HockeyMonkey.com) and the manufacturer (Warrior) and they both told me that my issue was a "normal wear-and-tear" result. I know... $200.00+ dollars and 12 hours of ice time and I learned a valuable lesson: Warrior gloves STINK!!! There's a reason why no local retailers carry the gloves and can only be bought online. Don't waste your money! Bauer, CCM, Easton, Eagle, Sherwood heck even Mission! Anyone BUT Warrior! Warrior should stay with making sticks and cool advertisements because producing quality gloves...
...

LeftyOF1 says "CCM hockey jerseys are very dependable." about CCM Hockey Jerseys

As a hockey player myself, CCM is a brand that I proudly support. CCM hockey jerseys are made from the best type of material to provide a good and comfortable fit when you are on the ice. Tough and durable fabric, but not enough to weigh you down too much on the ice....

bfpg says "what were they thinking" about CCM Hockey Jerseys

When i first saw those jerseys i thought the league, and these teams, must have been crazy. i have never understood why the nhl is just such a bad marketing league. usually there is a reversal in jersies, they look to the past and make it futuristic. these jersies are something from the 23rd century, with their no stripes, team names on top, not to mention how they started off being ridiculous unusable for players as they complained in the early days of the jersey. With the way these uniforms are, there won't be a 23rd century for the nhl....

CrystaBush says "The One Goalie Stick That My Son Can't Break!" about Sher-Wood Feather-Lite 5030 SC

Sher-Wood Feather-Lite 5030SC Goalie Stick

You would not believe the amount of hockey sticks that players go through in a season. It's crazy. What's even more crazy is the amount of money that these sticks cost.

Lucky for me, my son likes the cheap one. The Sher-Wood Feather-Lite goalie stick. He has tried numerous goalie sticks over the years, (thinking the higher the price tag, the better the stick) and he has learned that no other goalie stick quite adds up to the Sher-Wood.

Other sticks he has bought only because it had an NHL players name on it or because a friend said it was cool, never lasted. He always winds up back to the good ole Sher-Wood.

The Sher-Wood Feather-Lite Goalie Stick is very inexpensive when compared to other goalie sticks on the market. Anywhere from $80-$100 depending on the size of stick that you need. For the players who break alot of sticks....that's a fair price.

For my son, who can't break a Sher-Wood, if he tried...that's an awesome price!
...

CrystaBush says "These Goalie Pads Keep My Son Protected!" about McKenney Pro Spect Goalie Pads

McKenney Pro Spect Goalie Pads

When you have 65 mph hockey pucks flying at you, you better hope that you have on good, protective goalie pads.

My son has been a hockey goalie since he was 6 years old, contrary to what you are thinking, he is quite a smart kid. :)

He has tried other brands of pads and doesn't feel as protected as when he is wearing the McKenney goalie pads. They fit him better, he can move easier in them and he refuses to wear any other brands!

McKenney is not the most expensive goalie pads and they're not the cheapest either. For my son, his pads cost $575.00 at our local hockey store, Perani's. That's an average cost for goalie pads. As they grow bigger, the prices increase and become quite outrageous. Especially when we are talking about goalie pads that will only fit him for one season.

McKenney's make him feel more protected against the flying pucks, so I'm sure when he grows out of this pair, we will be in search of a bigger pair of McKenney's Goalie Pads
...
