After playing golf recreationally for 10 years with the same set of cheap clubs, I decided it was time to upgrade. My husband let me pick these out for my Christmas present. I will say I was very wary about using them since they were expensive but after a few rounds of golf I decided it was worth the money. These clubs are so light and the oversize heads help with my golf game. Between fixing my swing and using these clubs, I've taken 12 strokes off my score for 9 holes. They are so easy to swing. The only drawback is that the bag the comes with the set is pink and grey but it grew on me. —...

The Wilson Zip is about the best ball I've played so far. After playing ten rounds, I see no benefit to play the Titleist Pro V1 again. I almost think I have gained about ten yards with the Zip ball using a Founders Club Judge driver. MY average driving distance is 285 with the ProV1 and I may have to adjust that to 295 with the Zip. I think this is because I am getting a lower trajectory and a little more roll. Shots 80 yards and in stick very well. I prefer the feel slightly over the ProV1 with the putter too. At about half the price, it doesn't break the bank...

R-Bone says "A driver on steroids!" about Callaway FT-i Driver

This club added 5-9 mph on my swing speed which converted to an extra 15-20 yards on my drives. One year I was the shortest ball out of my foresome off the tee, the next I was the longest. This club is incredibly light and is effortless to swing. The ball jumps off the face, travels a hundred yards or so and goes to a higher plain. I will have this driver for a looooong time. Callaway usually gets woods right, this one they went to another level. Everytime I hit my tee shot in my foursome all they say is: "that club is illegal" -...

Personalized golf balls and other golfing items are the perfect gift for the golf loving person in your life. My sister, and of course her significant other, have played golf since High School and spend many sunny days scorching themselves while the walk around the golf course spending an enjoyable day "putting" around. — Thanks to their interest in this sport, I have discovered several very unique gift ideas that I can use over and over again, and they never grow tired of them. How do I do this? By personalizing! You can purchase golf polo's, golf tees, golf balls and other golf gear and have it personalized with words, letters and photos and give a gift that they can not only enjoy but entertain them throughout their day of play. Quite often these personalized gifts also become a topic of conversation as other golfers notice the special items in my sisters golf bag. — I have two favorite spots to purchase personalized golf balls and other golf...

I really like these clubs. I have used the MP 29's for over 8 years now, so I have always been a Mizuno fan.
Kyle says "Good enough for the pros." about Cleveland CG10 Wedge

Cleveland Golf is arguably the biggest name in golf wedges. Their CG-series of wedges just extend the already impressive product line. I have three CG10 wedges in Black Pearl (52-degree gap wedge, 56-degree sand wedge, 60-degree lob wedge) all in standard 2-dot configurations. All three perform beautifully! —

As of April 2008, CG11 and CG12 models have appeared on the market. Apart from a few adjustments to weighting and grooves, they are essentially all the same type of wedge. Save yourself a few dollars and get the older CG10 model. —

Kyle says "Great set of irons!" about Cleveland CG4 Irons

If you are in the market for a set of irons (golf, not curling), then check out the CG4 irons by Cleveland Golf. They are a somewhat forgiving cavity back iron with a great look at a moderate price. Cleveland is a big name in golf, but not as big as its high-priced cousins like Ping, Titleist, or Nike. —

The cavity back is perfect for the mis-hits, and it even allows me to work the ball without the move up to a blade iron. And because the progressive offset is very minimal, it has the look of a club for a serious golfer. Overall, I am extremely pleased with these irons. —

Kyle says "Get yourself a hybrid... golf club that is." about Cleveland Halo Hybrid

The 1, 2, 3, and 4-iron are officially dead; seriously, dead. The word "hybrid" isn't just used in the car industry. The golf industry's hybrid is a relatively new club that is a cross between a fairway wood (or metal) and a long iron. I have had a few hybrid clubs and have settled with a 21-degree steel shafted Cleveland Halo Hybrid. —

It is probably the most versatile club in the bag. I use it to lay up off the tee, get myself out of the rough, hit approach shots in the middle of the fairway, and even chip just off the green. It does it all! It is incredibly easy to hit (especially compared to typical long irons), looks good, and is relatively inexpensive in golf terms. —

About the only negative is the unjustified stigma attached with using an odd-looking club instead of a typical long iron. These days, though, even the PGA Tour has plenty of players with a hybrid club. —

I am a big fan of the Odyssey White Hot 2-Ball Putter. This putter really seems to help me line up the ball, make a nice pendulum stroke, and get the ball rolling on a true line.
Kyle says "A great golf bag!" about Ping Latitude Golf Bag

After trying several types of golf bags over the years, I finally went back to a solid name in the industry, Ping Golf. Although the golf bag is slightly more expensive than other golf bags on the market, I couldn't be happier with my choice. As far as I am concerned, there is not a single feature missing. It has double retractable straps for carrying, an insulated pocket for a cold drink, plenty of pockets for golf accessories (plus wallet, phone, keys), a huge loop to hold a towel and/or glove, an umbrella sheath, and a collapsible stand. All this and it is still incredibly lightweight and extremely durable. I would highly recommend the Ping Latitude Golf Bag, and any of the other product lines from Ping Golf. — —...

Motion Golf is Better Golf Golf Preliminaries — Golfers are noted for their constant desire to improve. Golf magazines are constantly touting cures to gain "a better swing." But, it wasn't until technology joined with golf instructors to capture the problems with a golfer's swing that the golfer could see. — First, it was video and it provided some analysis for a golfer but only after the swing was captured on tape. The latest tool is a lot more than video-it's a three dimensional real-time computer analysis of a golfer's swing. — A New Methodology - 3D Imagining — Motion Golf is a relatively new tool for the average golfer. It's called Motion Golf Imaging (MGI), a kind of an MRI of your swing, and at the moment (March 2008) there are only three locations in the United States that offer this form of instant feedback. One is in Syosset, New York, a second is located in Fairfield, New Jersey and the third one is in...

golfnut1964 says "Best Club Ping Ever Made" about Ping ISI-K Iron Set

I've been playing golf for about 20 years. I started with an old set my dad had in his garage, Sears Stan Leonard Forged Blades with fiberglass shafts. For a long time I thought it was that I just couldn't play the game. Dad always said why don't you try some Ping Irons. So I finally bought a set of Ping ISI-K irons in 1999. Ping had just introduced their I3 irons and the ISI-K's were on sale. After playing with these clubs fro about a month, I found the ball flew farther, straighter and I began lowering my scores. Instead of never breaking 100, I began flirting with breaking into the 80's. Over the years, I've learned the feel of the clubs and now shoot a consistent 85 with an occasional 79. The secret to the club is the slight offset, the huge cavity back, perimeter weighting and the added toe weight. All of which helps the club face square at impact. — If you want to improve your golf game without breaking your bank account, try the Ping ISI-K Irons. Only problem...
