JovialCougar says "Finally, a recumbent exercise bike that I like" about Vision Fitness R2700HRTExercise Bike

Recumbent exercise bikes are supposed to be more comfortable to ride than upright exercise bikes. They provide back support while your legs are extended forward to do the pedaling. Also they are built lower to the ground so are easier to get on and get off. Despite those advantages I often had trouble finding a recumbent exercise bike that was comfortable, until I started using the Vision Fitness Recumbent Exercise Bike Model R2700HRT. This exercise bike truly is comfortable to ride, and does not have some of the shortcomings I have experienced in other models. — First off I like the Vision Fitness Recumbent Exercise Bike Model R2700HRT because the seatback is firmly padded yet comfortable. I get good, solid back support, but it's not stiff like a board. The seat's position is easily adjusted on a sliding track to get the proper distance from the pedals. Also, the seat does not shake hardly at all when pedaling. On many recumbent exercise bikes I have ridden,...

JovialCougar says "This exercise bike makes working out fun - almost." about Vision Fitness E3700HRT

The quality of exercise bikes sure does vary a lot. Some are sturdily built, have good features, and are comfortable to use. Others are kind of junky and make you want to flee the exercise room for a big bowl of ice cream! Fortunately the Vision Fitness exercise bikes in the workout room of my apartment complex are all on the good side. — I most often use the Vision Fitness upright exercise bike model E3700HRT. This exercise bike has a variety of programming features which allow you to easily vary your workout and keep track (if you want to) statistics related to your routine. The continual-feedback console clearly labels several steps needed to program the machine, such as: Choosing the type of workout you want, level of difficulty, your weight, and length of exercise time. — The type of workout chosen will vary the machines mechanisms. For example, if you chose a 'Hill' workout (which I like the best) the difficulty of pedaling will vary up and down, as if you were...

abigrace1125 says "The most uncomfortable bike seat ever!!" about Body by Jake Spinner Sport Stationary Bike

I purchased a Spinner Sport bike off an infomercial one morning and I deeply regret it. Don't get me wrong, this is a fantastic bike for someone serious about exercise. I purchased it on a whim, thinking it would be similar to other stationary bikes. I was very wrong. This bike has a very hard, narrow seat on it that makes it very difficult to ride. In the exercise DVD that comes with the bike, the trainer makes a comment that you will get used to the seat. I've had it for a year now and I'm not used to it yet. I tried to purchase a gel seat for it, but have been unable to find one that fits correctly. For beginners, you are instructed to ride for 15-20 minutes for the first week or two, but I find it almost impossible to ride the bike for even this long because the seat is so uncomfortable. The handlebars on the bike also seem to be set a little low for my comfort. It seems that I have to bend over a little more than I...

MAMABEAV says "If real bikes were this comfortable, I'd pedal everywhere" about omega co-br130

A thick, wide, cushy seat, with a back rest to match, make this the most comfortable bike I've ever ridden. Two sets of hand grips give you the fit that right for you. The pedals are slip resistant and have shoe guards. The digital read out screen is a good size with rotating feature numbers for rpm, distance, calories burned, pulse rate, time, and distance. The tension adjusting can be changed at any time. I found this to be the best bike for the price and it is sturdy. This is not a fold down and stick under the bed...

My husband recently had a hipjoint replaced and this bike was reccomended by his surgeon as the best exercise for his recovery to maintain strength and flexability.
I could remember my first bike,it was purple,it was everything I had in the whole to do like being a mechanic.

I reccomend this recumbant exercise bike. I purchased it a few months ago at an affordable price. It is made of sturdy construction and seems as if it will last me for a while. The only downside I would say is the heart monitor is rather quirky that is on the bike hand bars. It is a great item for someone that needs to improve their fitness or maintain fitness as it has 10 levels of challenge and several programs available on the bike manuals. Overall, a great...

fotogreg says "Brings the gym into your house" about Life Fitness Lifecycle 9500 HR

The LifeCycle 9500 HR upright bike was formerly a staple of commercial gyms and fitness centers. As such, there is a plentiful supply of these pieces of equipment on eBay and at used fitness equipment outlets. The going price on eBay is about $400, plus or minus. This is a fraction of the original new price. — These are rock solid commercial machines which are very durable. Unlike the home models which utilize a drive belt, these use a drive chain which is unlikely to ever break. An additional plus is that parts are simple, cheap and readily available at fitness equipment merchants on the internet. These ingenious machines use a automobile type alternator powered by your pedaling and do not have to be plugged into a wall outlet. — The seat is adjustable to fit anyone from about 5 foot to about 6 foot 5. — The pre-programmed fitness programs are manual, hill, fit test, heart rate, race and random. — Initially I used the "hill" routine which includes warm...

My aunt had one, and my sister and brother in law used it at her house and they liked it so much they bought the same one, and I tried out my sister's machine and I bought one too. It has digital-magnetic resistance so it is smooth even resistance instead of jerky, like the band-tension based ones. The construction is very sturdy (you have to put it together your self, or at least I did). The machine is very quiet, I like to watch TV while I'm on it...

Baldric118 says "It provides the right workout when you need it! " about Schwinn Airdyne Exercise Bike

The Airdyne® Exercise Bike is a simply smart no frills way to get the airobic workout you need. Wind resistance is exponential, so the harder you pedal, the higher the resistance becomes so your level of airobic exercise is increased. This bike naturally provides the right workout for both a novice exerciser or an elite athlete. You will use this! I have an exercise area set up my garage complete with TV so I can exercise while watching my favorite shows or the BIG game....

To the PointI spent several days in my daughter and son-in-laws new condominium which had a wonderful fitness room. One of the machines I used was the Life Fitness 95 Ci Upright Bike. — A Closer View — Life Fitness in my opinion is the top of the line when it comes to equipment. You will pay for this quality. In this case you'll pay close to $3000 for a new one and $2,000 for a remanufacturered bike. You can see this bike at http://www3.shopping.com/xFS?KW=Life+Fitness+95Ci+Upright+Bike&CLT=SCH. — What you'll get is a super wide comfortable seat and pedals that have extra wide straps. The seat has an easy to use lever that raises and lowers the seat and has 27 levels. It should accommodate everyone's height! — You'll get two large integrated holders for water, your iPod, cell phone, etc. — — The arms or handles are u-shaped on this model. I found it comfortable to hold. There are heart rate sensors in four places- something I've...

I first encountered the Schwinn stationary bike at my local Y. I drove to the Y every time I wanted to use it and eventually decided that I would use it more if I didn't have to go anywhere. I shopped around looking for the best price. While I was looking I noticed that the bike was very different at one shop. I would never have thought of buying the bike if that had been the only shop I ever visited. It seemed to be poor quality, that is simply because it was not well assembled. I did find a shop where the bicycle was well assembled and have been very happy with the purchase. I have owned it for several years and it has never needed service. The mechanism is resistance based, so it works as hard as you do. The fan in the front has curved blades that grab the air. The harder you pedal, the more resistance is created by the fan. This rubs both ways. You are in complete control of how hard you will work, so you need to be tuned...
