JovialCougar says "Lightweight fleece sleeping bags are good for warm, summer night" about Cabelas Fleece Sleeping Bag

Sometimes I've been on camping trips during the dog days of summer when it barely cools off at night. The last thing you want on a warm, summer evening is a heavy, confining sleeping bag to sleep in. You'll feel like you are going to smother! Luckily I have sometimes been able to use this Cabelas Fleece Sleeping Bag, which is like a light blanket.

The Cabelas Fleece Sleeping Bag I have measures 34 inches across and 80 inches long. These are also sold in a 90 inch length. It has a fuzzy, comfortable texture that is light enough not to be confining on warm nights, but also provides some covering if you don't like to sleep completely uncovered.

The metal zipper on this fleece sleeping bag is adequate but not the best I've ever seen. But on the bright side the zipper goes all the way down the side and all the way across the bottom. You can easily open-up the whole bag and use it as a wrap while sitting outside, as a blanket to lay on top, or even stuff it inside a regular sleeping bag for...
...

JovialCougar says "I should have done more research before buying this." about Slumberjack Denali Superguide +30 Sleeping Bag

When I needed a sleeping bag that would be easy to store I jumped and bought the Slumberjack Denali Superguide +30 without giving it much though. The sleeping bag had many features that I wanted, and I got a good price. So how could I have come away unsatisfied with my purchase?

Description

The Slumberjack Denali Superguide +30 sleeping bag rolls up nicely into its stuff bag, which is about 6 inches across and 16 inches long. The interior is filled with DuPont Thermolite Extreme for insulation purposes, and there is a nice semi-circle head pad at the top. It is rated as warm enough for temperatures down to +30 degrees Fahrenheit. The exterior is a combination of poly/nylon and the inside is polyester.

The bottom of the sleeping bag is called a trapezoidal design, but allows your feet some movement. The foot area is not as roomy as a rectangular bag would be, but is better than a mummy sleeping bag, where you are tucked in like a - well a mummy. My particular model of Slumberjack sleeping bag...
...

This worked well the first few times we used it. My daughter is now just over 3 and weighs about 31 pounds. She used this while we were visiting family friends last weekend. In the middle of the night she rolled over and was asleep on th floor completely inside the sleeping bag with the mattress completely on top of her. Between the synthetic fabric and the plastic matress, it could very easily have been a seriously dangerous suffocation situation had I not been in the room to roll her over. I left the bed in my friend's trash the next morning. I will never buy another sleeping bag attached to an air mattress. At least if they are separate the worst that can happen is she can roll off of it....

my kid loves this sleeping bag. It's great for when she has sleepovers. The mattress puts me at ease that she isn't sleeping on a hard, cold floor. And she loves the charaters on it. and when she's done, I can just fold it up and tuck it in a corner....

I have one of these, or I did at one time. My daughter loved it until we went camping and the air mattress popped - that was unpleasant. It is not very strong plastic and the sleeping bag is rather thin. It is not comfortable unless the air mattress is blown up....

This product is just what I have been looking for in order for my kids to look forward to going to bed at night. Before I bought this product, my kids ages 2 and 5 dreaded going to bed. But once I bought this product, They would make up their own sleeping beds, and trun the lights off. I think this gives them something that they are totally in control of, of they think that this is their property and no one elses....

Jolie says "I was pleasantly surprised when this arrived at my doorstep" about Lillian Vernon Dinosaur Sleeping Bag (for kids)

I am generally not a big fan of Lillian Vernon. Although a lot of their products are personalized (which I tend to like), they are often pretty poor quality. In many cases, this doesnt matter since the products have such short shelf life and they are cheap. But, I didnt want that to be the case when I decided to buy sleeping bags. Let's just say that I was a little worried.

Boy was I surprised when they arrived. The sleeping bags were absolutely adorable. I bought 4 different ones. Two for my kids and two for my niece and nephew. I bought: the racecar, dinosaur, bugs and cat. My favorite was the dinosaur and next the bugs. Both came with hand stitched animals on the outside. The dinosaur one had a little nest with fabric and hand sewn eggs. It is really adorable.

The dinosaur sleeping bag is pretty thin so it is not terribly warm. Bummer! However, this allows for folding the bag in 1/2 and then rolling it into a small ball with Velcros. This is great for storing the sleeping bag.

I havent...
...

The Case

I used to go camping all the time with friends and family, and if there's one thing an experienced camper knows, it's that you're sleeping bag can make or break the trip (kinda like your hiking boots, except the sleeping bag won't give you blisters!). I found myself in need of a new sleeping bag a few years back, and I received the Ozark Trail Warmfoot as a gift. It's worked out for me in the ways I've needed, but if I was still camping regularly, there's no way this sleeping bag would cut it!

The Good

Honestly, the reason I enjoy this bag the most is that it's machine washeable. I've had sleeping bags in the past that weren't, and they're nothing but a hassle when it comes to cleaning. With this one, you just toss it in the washer, and that's the end of it. It helps that it's lightweight, too. This bag has been used by both me and my younger sister, who's seven, and she doesn't stumble about under it's weight everytime she takes it to a slumber party. I've seen children's...
...
