It's the kind of binoculars that come in handy whenever their needed. They are fashionable and work well. The binoculars are also lightweight which is good if they are needed for a long period of time. They are durable which is definitely a plus. The binoculars also are small enough to package anywhere which makes them easier to carry...

These binoculars have really been an asset in identifying many species of birds and animals. I take them with me whenever I am outside. They are a great buy. — I have been able to clearly identify many birds ie. evening grossbeak, red breasted grossbeak, blue bunting. I was also able to observe a family of otters on the river. —...

Saxguy says "nice power for use at plays and sporting events" about Celestron Upclose 10 x 25 binoculars #71083

I got these binoculars a few months ago to prepare for an upcoming series of plays and concerts with our Christmas guests from Italy. — — The only seats we could find for Jersey Boys were in the back. While I did buy one set of opera glasses with the typical 3x power, I was looking for a second set of binoculars with more power. — I saw this unit, the Celestron Upclose 10x25 on Amazon.com for a little over $25. They had 10x power, with a wide viewing area, were light and looked great. They appeatred to be a great bargain, particularly with their free shipping, . — — I ordered these and tested them in the neighborhood. They weigh well under a pound (11 oz) and are very easy to use. Focus was a snap and the wide viewing area worked well. I was able to see birds in the back yard in great detail up close and items a couple of blocks down the street, also in great detail. — — They came with a case and carrying strap, with rubber grips...

Jo says "We could have seen so many grizzlies up close!" about Barska Optics BLACKHAWK AD10350 (20 - 60x60 mm)

To the PointFor my husband's birthday I bought the Barska Blackhawk 60 20-60x60mm Model Number AD 10350 which seemed to be what we would need for our purposes. In addition the price was right at about $110. I found it at amazon.com. — About the Scope — — I liked that the Barksa Blackhawk 60 came with a tripod. Some don't. The cost of tripods varies but it was nice that I didn't have to buy one. We easily put the scope on the tripod with a knob under the scope. I also liked the small size of it. It's a little less than 14 inches long and on the tripod is about 14 inches high. That means we can be sitting at our desks and just look out of it without having to get up or set up the tripod. — I liked that it came with a hard case which looks like an instrument case as well as a soft case. It measures 16 1/2 inches long by 6 inches deep by 7 across the top. The soft case fits inside this. — — Now we have it and use it all the time. It sits on...

When we went on vacation earlier this year we knew that we would be seeing some pretty remarkable sites. We thought it might be fun to have a pair of binoculars so that we could see things in the distance and take in large scenery. Knowing that my Dad who is really into bird watching has more than one pair of binoculars lying around we asked if we could borrow one for our vacation. He lent us the Nikon Action 16x50 Binoculars 7223. — Nikon Action 16x50 Binoculars 7223 — Now I am not any kind of expert on Binoculars but I have used them and I have felt and used a few different kinds in my life. Some are bulky and heavy, and others are lighter in weight and easier to hold. These particular binoculars fall in to the latter category. The design of these binoculars is fairly slim and sleek as far as binoculars go. — At around $120.00 they are also very reasonable in price. I shopped around to buy a pair before...

Jo says "The Falcon that weighs me down." about Bushnell Falcon 13-3410 Binocular

— To the Point — We have two pair of binoculars. The second pair, Eddie Bauer 7-15 x 25 (reviewed) we got after the Bushnell Falcon 7x35 Binoculars. My Falcons are great but... — A Closer View — My Bushnell Falcon 7 x 35 binoculars are still going strong after over ten years! The case has fallen apart however. — We got the Eddie Bauer because having the 1.2 pound, 7" by 6" by 3" Falcons around my neck was not terribly comfortable! — The Falcons are more sophisticated than the Eddie Bauers (sophisticated being a relative term) giving me a magnification of 7x and an objective lens of 35. I can see farther with the Falcons than I can with the Eddie Bauers. — The Falcon's zoom works via a twist of the eyepiece and the focus lever on the top is very easy to use. These come with an adjustable strap. — The Falcon binoculars can be bought at Amazon in the $35.00 range. — I can certainly see closer and clearly with the Falcon...

Jo says "I saw grizzlies up close and personal" about Bushnell Eddie Bauer 7-15 X 25 Binoculars Model 13-7125CEB

— To the Point — — We have two sets of binoculars. The large ones are an older model by Bushnell which I will review. Several years ago we bought smaller ones. These are Eddie Bauer 7-15 X 25 Binoculars made by Bushnell. — — A Closer View — — I paid about $50 for these. They can now only be found used but if they become availabe theyll be a great buy. The specs say that these binoculars have 25mm fully coated objective lenses. This means that I should be able to see 240 feet wide at 1,000 yards on the 7x setting. I can see a 170 foot wide view at 1,000 yards at the 15x view. (We do keep all the paperwork on everything we own or owned!) — — In plain English this is pretty good. It's not as fantastic as I would like but that would cost me at least twice as much. I'll give you an example. We were recently at Glacier National Park. There were grizzly bears on the side of a ridge. I can't tell you how far but I can tell you that...
