Eyerater says "Friaco's offers Mexican food with a Jalisco twist." about Friaco's Mexican Restaurant & Cantina - Aurora, IL

Friaco's was our choice for a Mexican dinner largely because we were unfamiliar with the brand. It turns out they have a place in Joliet , IL and in Union de Tula, Jalisco, Mexico.

It was a festive setting with lots of fiesta color and decor. Fortunately, Susanne's back was turned to the wall that had a painting depicting a cockfight. I told her not to look. But, of course, she did.

That did not influence the food choice and enjoyment, coming as it did after we had completed our meals. But Susanne did express her disfavor to the manager as we were leaving.

The service was very friendly and we felt well taken care of.

We love Mexican food, so we enjoyed the chips and salsa (complimentary). The salsa was served in a decanter with individual service bowls. A little overdone but a nice touch.

My order was a steak fajita burrito ($7.99). It was ample and flavorful. It was accompanied by Mexican rice and charro beans, lettuce and pico de gallo.

Susanne ordered taco salad fajitas ($8.99). She was......

VixenViewTreasures says "More than just burgers and fries" about Red Robin - Exton, PA

Red Robin is a chain that provides more than just your average hamburgers. Red Robin has good food and good service with a nice atmosphere. Enjoy a gourmet burger and a host of other meal choices for reasonable prices. They have all types of chicken meals, meatless meas and some seafood as well. Don't break your budget, yet have some great food and enjoy some time with the family. They also have some great appetizers. I especially love their fried zucchini. If you order a burger bring your appetite, there's a lot of food there - including bottomless fries (you can ask for more - it's included).

My only complaint here is that they switched from Pepsi products to Coke. I don't care for Coke's adding of caffeine to the Root Beer product.

http://www.redrobin.com/...

Eyerater says "KeyWester - A taste of the Keys and Cuba in Illinois" about Keywester Fish & Pasta House - Naperville, IL

Based on our favorable experience at Luigi's, another Portillo's restaurant, we decided to try the Keywester Fish & Pasta House, despite our residence in Florida, where Caribbean seafood cuisine is on almost every corner.

Even with our misgivings about "wasting" a dining opportunity on restaurant fare that we have ample opportunity to enjoy at home, our experience at KeyWester was very positive.

The setting is colorful and tropical with lots of windows overlooking a small lagoon. Fishing boats are pulled up on the opposite bank. White swans float on the surface, navigating between fountains rising from the water. The rooms, and there are several, are warmed by drapes and fabric room dividers.

I ordered black bean soup and a classsic Cuban sandwich with fries, which was well-prepared and tasty. The Missus had a chicken Cobb salad, which she also was impressed with.

The service was attentive. Our server was very pleasant and asked us several times if everything was satisfactory.

The only drawback......

My husband and I were really in need of a date night last weekend so I booked us a reservation at Cafe Sevilla. Cafe Sevilla is a Spanish tapas restaurant located in the heart of downtown San Diego. It also turns into a dance club after dinner hours.

We went to Cafe Sevilla because they were having a Gypsy Fusion Dinner Show on Saturday night. The dinner show lasts two hours and includes: live gypsy and flamenco dancing, a three course meal for two and a bottle of wine. I had a coupon for $10.00 off, so for $85 a couple, that is a great price.

The food was amazing! The three courses were as follows:

Ensalada Sevillana- mixed green salad tossed in a citrus balsamic vinaigrette, topped with kalamata olives, manchego cheese and mandarin wedges.

Paella Valenciana - Spain's famous rice casserole, Paella with mussels, clams, calamari, shrimp, scallops, roasted chicken and sausage cooked with saffron spice.

Creme Catalana - rich chocolate espresso creme brulee

I don't care for...
...

Ok, I have lived in the Plaistow area for 8 years now and pass by Primo Pasta every day to and from work. My Husband is Italian and is very picky when it comes to eating out at an Italian Restaurant so we never stopped at this particular spot because he was alway's a bit Leary...He was right. Pasta Primo is a Greek Resturant trying to pass it's self off as an Italian Resturant....The entire menue is Italian but the cooking methods are Greek. The food was very greasy and over spiced. Be very weary if this if you are alergic to Cinnamon! Their Bolonause sauce is loaded with it. I was horribly dissapointed. In the words of my Husband; "Never Diviate"

...

friday night my guy and i wanted to get some bbq and decided to give mr cecil's a try. we walked in along with another couple ahead of us. the venue is small, but seemed to be quite popular as the majority of the booths and tables were occupied. i noticed there was one open booth available but assumed that it would go to the couple who walked through the screen door just nano-seconds before we did. the couple was actually seated at a table in the back and us at a table right next to them. the guy who showed us to our table said that the booth was reserved for parties of 3+. wtf?! the other booths all had only 2 people occupying them. why was that specific booth supposedly reserved for 3 or more?! the man in the other couple didn't seem too happy about the seating arrangements. neither were we so since my guy and i weren't feeling the vibe, we got up and left....

Hello everybody!

Its been a while. First I like to say hello to all my fans out there...lol all 1 of you!

I tried a new restaurant recommended on a TV show called Sayat Nova Armenian food, which is very close to persian food barely different. I was just not impressed. First, parking is not good you will have to valet somewhere or pay for a garage parking unless you want to get towed by the city. Make sure you know where it is because it has a very non-descript front location. The inside was nice and cozy they had round tables and the decor was decent (dim lighting) very romantic but I must be getting old I started to fall a sleep after a drink. The cost for 2 people without drinks was about $50 and the portions were not very large at all (I thought not worth the value). Additionally, they had only 1 waiter for the entire restaurant, that just ridicoulous 1 person, the wait between the appetizer and dinner was over 45 minutes! And dinner took almost 1 1/2 hour. I tried a sampler......

If they are anything like the Cimino's in Pecatonica, Durand, and Rockford, then they are fantastic. Price is decent and its mouth watering no matter what you order. Sure they are a little greasy, but that doesn't seem to matter as long as the food is great. I used to order from there every week for years when I used to live in my home town of Pecatonica, IL. Now that I moved out of the reaches of The Cimino's Pizza chains, I miss it. Pizza Hut is nothing compared to Cimino's pizza. I guess Italians still make piizzas better than Americans. Decent price for delicious food, oh and don't forget awesome service. Cimino's is the place to go....

The service was exellent. The past few times i have eatin there. I also like how accomendating they are for larger groups and also for small groups their layout is very nice. i like being able to get up and move if i have to without intrupting surrounding tables and also i diddnt have to listen to the other table conversation either. Agian a good place to go in a relaxing atmosphere with some good food. the only complant is that i think the prices are a bit to high for the food being served but its not that bad....

Bittersweet is an amazing place. The way it's decorated is like stepping into a cafe in Europe. The colors that the owners used to decorate remind me of the movie "Amelie." It's very laid-back and comfortable. The different kinds of chocolate, pastries and drinks are mind-boggling. It's close proximity to a great book shop is also a plus. It is always bustling but it's still a great place to relax, have a nice conversation with friends, decide where to go next on your walk or if you want to see a movie. If you love chocolate, you have to go there just to try some things you might not have tried before! Great place....

We went to Steve's Deli just about a month after in opened. There was a long line and the place was very crowded with people on lunch break. I had my 4 year old son and 85 year old aunt with me. I was excited by the lengthy menu and quickly picked a salad that boasted chicken, avocado, beets, chick peas and thousand island dressing. It was so WEAK! The lettuce was iceberg, they forgot the avocado, and the chicken was tiny! The salad bowl was small and it cost nearly $13! I was not happy! My son had a bowl of matzo ball soup (decent) and mac and cheese and my aunt had a cup of lentil soup (fair) and a big corned beef sandwich (good).
I'll admit I've been curious about the Weber Grill Restaurant since moving to Chicago four years ago, so I did not turn down the opportunity for a free meal when my dad came to town for business this week. My dad adores his Weber grill at home and is an excellent griller. I was excited to compare his burgers to a Weber Grill Restaurant burger. (I won't comment on his other dishes.) We dined around noon on a Friday.

The Weber Grill Restaurant is located in the middle of downtown Chicago at the intersection of State and Grand. I guessed that because of its central location in the city that it would be an excellent establishment. The ambience did not disappoint me, but it was certainly not above average. The hostess and waiters were polite and attentive. The seating area at Weber Grill restaurant was large, so tables were not on top of each other and you did not feel as if you were unintentionally eavesdropping on fellow diners' conversations.

There are many reasons to go to BD! The food is great! There are several combination choices, so everyone can create something they will love! You have a choice of many different meats, veggies, sauces, and spices. Fill your bowl and have fun watching it being cooked! The atmosphere is very fun! There are always lots of people, this is one resturant that is never slow. However, I've never had to wait to be seated. It's a fun place for singles, couples, and groups of friends. I've even seen high schoolers in for pre-prom dinner, what a great way to go! The staff is always in a fun-loving mood! The waitresses are happy and polite and the cooks are always interacting with customers in ways that make this place truly unique!
...

jenn24dave says "Red Robin has great customer service" about Red Robin - Columbus, GA

I took my daughter here because she got a free kids meal from school. When we first got there they asked if this was our first time and it was. He said great, showed us both the menus and then also told our waitress that this was our first time. They have bottomless fries which mean you can eat all you want. I got the 5 alarm hamburger and asked them to cut it up because my daughter wanted half. She ordered the pizza from the kids meal. When they brought out the food the hamburger was in 2 different baskets so she could have her own and each basket had its own fries. They do not bring the pitcher of tea around to refill your glass they just give you a whole new glass. Our services was great. I would go back any day. I also know if you sign up for there website then on your birthday you will get a free meal on the house....

chrisbrl88 says "Good food and good prices" about Rockne's - Cleveland, OH

I've been to several Rockne's locations many times and each time I've found that the service is great. The staff is always friendly and accomodating and there is rarely ever a wait to be seated. The prices are very good for the amount of food you get. I've even taken dates to Rockne's! One of my favorite items is the Firestone salad - a huge salad that's a meal by itself! I haven't had a bad experience yet at a Rockne's. It isn't gourmet food by any standard, but it's very good food at a great price,...
