hopper22 says "Dave and Busters:Eating's part of the fun" about Dave and Buster's - Kensington, MD

Dave and Buster's, of course, is not just a restaurant; it's a fun emporium. This version of the national chain is on the third floor of White Flint Mall. Some come to eat; some to play and some for both. You can eat in one of two places -- the self service diner=-like section in the noisy arcade, where it's full of kids playing the arcade games and so forth. Or you can eat in the quieter section on the other side. The place also has a pool room. The food is the same on either side. You sometimes have to wait for service on the quieter side, though.

Still, the food is surprisingly good. On my most recent trip. I started with the Southwestern eggrolls that come with both a spicy ketchup and cheese sauce. Both are worth trying. They added a few new dishes, including a firecracker salmon. The seafood is very good. You get a balanced meal as the entrees come with rice and vegetables. The only problem is the typical one with restaurants that use runners to deliver food; the timing is off and...
...

deemathes says "I will never eat at Subway again" about Subway - Sanford, NC

I have been boycotting Subway for quite a few years now, as I think it is ridiculous that you order a sandwich there and it is all bread and hardly any meat. You can get the "sandwich artist" to load it with toppings, but if you get 3 slices of meat, you're lucky. So I just tend to frequent Mom and Pops sub shops, as they will make you a decent sandwich and you'll pay less for it than you would at Subway. So last weekend, I had a friend visitiing from out of town and we needed to stop and eat. Being health conscious as we are, we had to stop at Subway as the only other choices were burger joints. Herein lies the outrage...I ordered a turkey footlong sub, with double meat (knowing they are so skimpy with their meat) and some toppings, no drink or chips and do you know that one sandwich cost me? Almost ten bucks! Ridiculous! Not to mention the dining area wasn't very clean, and the girl who made my sandwich was a far cry from friendly. Needless to say the boycott is back on for me, which...
...

hopper22 says "Brookeville Inn worth going out to" about The Inn at Brookeville Farms - Brookeville, MD

You can still see remnants of the farm here. The Inn at Brookeville Farms is in a part of Maryland close to the suburbs but still feels rustic. The restaurant is a former farm house that has been added to, It lies on the east side of Georgia Ave., 1.5 miles north of Rt. 108 and downtown Olney.Though the area is getting more and more built up, you still feel in the country here. The inn is, as its name suggests, a one-time farm residence. The upstairs restroom still contains the bathtub. You may be seated in one of many upstairs or downstairs rooms.

The place caters to large gatherings and gatherings and even touts its ability to host wedding receptions and private parties. The inn lies on an estate with plenty of grounds around it and the silo is there. It was once owned by the Brooke family, a one-time prominent local clan that the town was named after.

The menu is small but changed regularly and everything you'll find on it is high class. So you never know what you'll find. We enjoyed...
...

I had heard a lot of good things about this new restaurant chain that had come to town. I have heard from friends and co-workers that it was affordable, fast and friendly. The first time I went this was true the staff and management were polite, courteous, and helpful. The food wasn't too bad, though far from even the supposed tex-mex they claim to be. I have lived in Texas and Moe's is in no way, shape, or form tex-mex!
Anyway, as the experience was not too bad and only cost around $10-12 per person I decided that for a work even I would have it catered by Moe's. All my co-workers liked it so I figured why not. We ordered the Fajita Bar with Chicken and Steak, Added the Queso as that is their most addictive item. We requested it to be delivered at 11:00am, they advised me that they were usually a few minutes early to ensure setup in time for lunch. I advised them that, that was fine. Delivery day rolls around, obviously my co-workers were excited, after all free food is never a bad thing.......

IF you love hoagies and don't want to pay a fortune for them, then this is the place to go. They have the best hoagies, whether you want steak, chicken or sausage, you haven't have a good one until you try Groumet. They just have hoagies, they have pasta, fish, steak and much more. You can start you meal off with a bowl of soup or a salad and you won't be disappointed. Everything they make is homemade right their in their kitchen.
hopper22 says "Smoothie King offers a great variety of healthy drinks" about Smoothie King - North Bethesda, MD

This local edition of a national franchise lies in the food court at White Flint Mall, which used to be upscale but has seen better days. Even the food court is half vacant while it used to be bustling with a variety of ethnic restaurants.

Still, the Smoothie King offers a variety of thick, healthy smoothies, probably the healthiest dessert you can find. Or a large one can serve as a meal or a snack. Take you pick of sizes and flavors and if you want a base with sorbet, ice cream, fruit, or whatnot. For an additional fee, you can get add-ons for vitamins, energy, immunity, etc. But you're bound to find something for your taste.

The chain also offers a punch card allowing you a free smoothie after you buy 12. But you have to ask for it and remember to get it punched. The place also will offer various specials, such as a free smoothie if you buy a $25 gift card for the holidays.

Sometimes the smoothies lack a lot of flavor. But you'll find everything from green tea to low carb to workout...
...

This family-owned restaurant calls itself the only place in Maryland serving authentic Argentinean food. Maybe so, but our waitress was from El Salvador. The food is very affordable and authentic. You can start with an empanada filled with any meat or vegetable you want, or a variety of other South American appetizers.

In addition to the beef the Argentina is famous for, the menu features plenty of breaded entrees: fish, chicken or steak. You get you choice of sides, ranging from sweet potato fries to an interesting potato salad. I don't even eat potato salad but I make an exception for this one.

We tried the stuffed chicken entree. To my surprise, it was cold -- supposed to be that way. White meat chicken filled with egg, potato and vegetable. Still, it was quite edible. You can ask for a variety of South American sodas

The place is very small and informal with, of course, a patio for warm weather dining. It's also got a small store selling a variety of Latin American comestibles. It's...
...

My husband and I first discovered this steakhouse on whim when we just wanted to try something different. We were pleasantly surprised. First by the atmosphere, the by the quality of the food itself. Just recently we learned that the restaurant actually has its own meat plant and they cut their own steaks every day. It's kinda like going to the butcher and having him cook it for you, too! I guess that's why its meat seems considerably better than what we usually have at some of the more familiar steakhouses. Oh, the service was great, too. Laid back, but efficient and friendly. We go at least a couple times a month.
...

My family loves Zaxbys, they have the best boneless chicken we have ever had a "fast food" place, you can go in and eat or take it home thru the drivethru. They offer and array of food, salads, sandwich's, seasoned fries that are great, sides include deep fried mushrooms, onion rings, coleslaw among alot of others.

The price is great, a family can have a great lunch or dinner, leave full and satisfied and not broke. The restaurant itself is filled with things about sports and old movie posters and Zaxby's in Lenoir city where I live prides itself on showcase's the local high school teams, with pictures of the football team, cheerleaders and so on.

When I have friends or family that come from out of town and have never ate there, we take them and they love it, I have never heard a complaint. I urge everyone to try it.
...

I was introduced to Angie's by grandma, she told us that they had the best Pizza. Also the nice is that you can get a Mini Pizza (4 Slices), with any 2 toppings, a salad and you're drink for about $7.00. I was sold when I told they had pizza! Homemade pizza at that. When we arrived we were seated in a timely manner, very pleased with that. Our waitress then showed up and took our drink order, she was very quick at bringing that. We ordered and recieved our salads, which were very tasty. I got the ranch dressing for the salad, very pleased with it as sometimes you get ranch that is just down right gross. lol Pretty much as soon as we were done with the salad our pizzas arrived. I ordered pepperoni & black olives on mine, that first bite was awesome! I'm a tough critic when it comes to pizza, and this pizza was very yummy. I like that you get a salad with you're meal because then you will most likely get to have left over pizza for later. They don't have just pizza by the way. I also loved...
...

The slogan of this national chain is World's Greatest Hamburgers." It sounds rather like Barnum & Bailey. But the order-at-the-counter restaurant is the best place to get a quick burger -- certainly way above the standard fast food joint. And it still comes out ahead compared with all the new gourmet burger joints opening up across the country because it offers a great variety of burgers.. It's got salads and a few sandwiches on the menu, but burgers are te speciality -- and non necessarily hamburgers.

You've got an endless selection of how you want your burger. You can choose traditional beef, or turkey, buffalo or ostrich. And burgers come in several sizes depending on your appetite. If you want cheese, you've got your choice of several kinds, as well as several varieties of fries, with chili and cheese or sweet potato fries.

My husband and I along with my 2 year old son decided to go to Olive Garden back in April of this year. It was my hubby's birthday so we thought Olive Garden would be nice, plus I had in mind to tell our waiter it was his birthday so they would sing him happy birthday and give him a slice of cake without him knowing.

We were seated right away but it took about 10 minutes before a waiter approached our table and the waiter turned out to be a total dud. He always looked confused like he didn't know what he was doing and kept forgetting things. It took a while to get our drinks and he didn't bring my son's drink untill the food came out. The bread sticks were barely warm and got hard right away. We only got refills once and the waiter forgot to put my son's order in the computer so my son ate off of my husband's and my plate. We were almost done eating by the time my son's food came out so I asked for it to go. When the waiters came to sing happy birthday to my husband they didn't even...
...

My husband and I, and friends of ours, eat at Mexico restaurant quite frequently. It seems as though every time lately when we've gottent together to eat the consensus has been "Let's go to Mexico." There are a couple reasons for this. First, their food tastes good. We've eaten at a lot of Mexican restaurants in many different cities and states and so far Mexico has been the bext Mexican food restaurant we've found. Their service is almost always quick and efficient. I can't remember a specific time when we had to wait longer than 15 minutes for our food to come out. The other reason we frequent Mexico restaurant is that their prices are comparable or lower than many other dine-in restaurants in the area. Since my husband and I and all of our friends are attempting to be more financially concious, this is a great thing for us. Great food for a great price. A clique I know. But for Mexico restaurant, it's true.
...

I was introduced to the Tavern by a knit friend of mine. She has been there on numerous occasions and had always raved about the food and the service. The Tavern was also recommended by another friend who loves this type of food. I had never been.

We went, ordered to different platters and split them. The dining area had plenty of seating and was well lit without being too bright. The food arrived to us hot and in a timely fashion even so they were quite busy with the dinner crowd. It's definitely a family friendly place as well a fun place to meet friends.

Our dinner was really good and I would certainly go back again, and recommend it to anyone wanting to try something different.
...

beastar2 says "It was hot, steamy, crunchy, and popped in my mouth!" about Chili's - Crystal River, FL

I ordered the tripple platter with two sides of the chicken egg rolls, and the chipolte chicken fingers. I also ordered a side of fries and a coke. The server was warm and engaging, yet she managed to balance her 'friendly personality' with being an informed waitress. She had my refills ready, I had two. She made sure I had extra napkins, chipolte sauce, and she just made this trip to Chilli's warm.

I love Chili's tripple platter, I get it all the time. But for some reason this trip and the food was so deletable! I love have the amount of egg rolls and the sauce is so yummy!

The soda was nice and carbonated each time, with my lemons and cherries!

The table was nice and clean, all the condiments were wiped off or clean. There was no sticky residue on my ketchup bottle either. I really appreciate a clean restaurant. It was lunch time, so there weren't many people in the joint. So service was fast, friendly, and warm.

I recommend this Chilli's for lunch for anyone!
...

wildman52 says "Great food and lots of meat." about Taco Bell - Attalla, AL

The taco bell in Attalla is without a doubt atreat to eat at. We have eaten at this Taco bell many times over the last 3 years. They are under new management in the last 6 months and the food and service is the best it has ever been. Most of the staff is friendly and the service is fast and your food is hot. It is always a treat to eat here. We probably eat here at least once per week. It is easy to get to off of rt.59 and only minutes from any place in Gadsdem. the burritto's are some of the biggest and best I have gotten at any Taco bell anyplace locally and also when we travel. This taco Bell has become one of our favorite fast food place to eat.You can eat in at clean tables or use the drive through and take it with you.

The kids will love the food and you get all the free refills on drinks that you want. If you for whatever reason are not satisfied be sure to let them know and they will gladly refund your money although I do not think this will be the case.
