I actually tried Pledge Multi-Surface from a coupon deal in my newspaper and then got picked to try it out as well as a BzzAgent (and report back). — — I'm all about one size fits all mentatlity in my hectic life but one size doesn't always fit well. — — Although the spray states that it can be used on stainless steel I did not like it's results which did not clean it much at all. It cleaned mirror surface A-ok and countertops fine. But definitely not as powerful as some of the other well-known cleaners like Formula 409, Lysol, etc. I had to use A LOT of the spray to get clean effect and it didn't seem to clean (I like to see a bit of suds or something so psychologically at least I feel it is cleaning!) —...

This little pad is amazing. You can use it to clean just about anything. My 7 year old got black sharpie on my solid cherry wood desk and I about died. I tried to get it up and rememebered I had those eraser pads under the sink. To my amazement it came right up. I then wiped down all of my doors and around the light switches which for some reason men and children like to rub their hands all over. Again they cleaned in a breeze. The most exciting then I cleaned (not sure exciting is the right word) was my new pearl colored explorer. You know those little surface sratches, I took the magic eraser to them and it literally rubbed them out. I then went to a friends vehicle and she had a sratch down the passenger door and it also came right out. If you have any marks in you car you should give it a try hopefully you will have the same luck. Also use it on the inside of your oven door which doesn't come clean when you use the...

I was excited when I found a five pack of cool looking Elmer's Mega 3D Washable Paint Pens on clearance at my local hardware store (go figure). My crafty kids love to paint and have been using similar paint pens for ages so they just had to love these, right? Nope, not so fast Assuming Mom. — After ripping open the package and barely containing their excitement, my kids were bored after five minutes. In fact, they requested to use their regular old-fashioned water paints with paint brushes instead. — The Elmers.com website claims that these paint pens will "Make your artwork "pop" in 3D!" Hmm, I guess that depends on your definition of "pop." The paint came out so fast and gloppy that my kids ended up using it like finger paint. The pretty glitter in the paint sort of "pops" off the page if that's what Elmer's means. To be fair, my kids are ages three and four...

Roxann831 says "Not so great the way they come... but with a little creativity.." about 3M Command Hook Medium

I have these hooks all over my apartment... I just don't use them the way they came. The adhesive part really disappointed me, it took off a chunk of plaster with the paint in my sons room... then in other places the hooks just fall off (I add super glue... shhh... don't tell the landlord). I have these hanging on the insides of my kitchen sink holding my bottle brush and dish rags. They're hanging on the sides of my cabinets that border my stove and hold my pot holders and measuring cups. I have one on the side of my dishwasher that I use to hold the hoses upright when not in use. Basically, I only use these in places that are okay to add superglue (tile, my personal items, and unfinished wood). The regular adhesive is too strong on paint, but not strong enough on tile, wood, or metal. — I don't want to completely give them a bad rep... I can't see how they could possibly still be in production if they always ripped pain and plaster off of the wall. It might be that my...

Lysol Antibacterial Kitchen Cleaner is wonderful! It cuts grease, cleans up big messes and removes stains. It sometimes takes a bit of scrubbing if the stain is set-in, but it seems to work better than any other cleaner I have tried. I love it for cleaning the spatters on the stove top. It cleans off dried food, grease, etc with ease. Plus, with cats in the house, I am a very conscious of the extra bacteria that they may track into my kitchen. Using Lysol Antibacterial Kitchen Cleaner gives me peace of mind that when I wipe down my counters to begin cooking, they are really clean. It's one less thing I have to worry about. ...

Elmer's Glue is an old time favorite around our house. It is used to help everything from two pieces of paper to knick knacks to crafts stick together. — Elmer's has been around long before the invention of the glue gun. It can be invisible or not depending on the expertise of the user. We have used it with great success on homework the dog thought he could really eat. We have also been able to patch back together again favorite homemade Christmas gifts that have managed to fly off the table and land in a many pieces. — My only suggestion is that this glue is for adult rather than children's hands. It tends to run all over the place and needs some amount of control. For this glue, less really is better. —...

Many years ago my youngest son came home from an older brothers' home and announced that his toilet paper was much softer than ours! I immediately got on the phone and called my daughter-in-law to see what brand it was. The answer: Charmin Ultra! The next trip to the store found me buying it. Until that time, I had used a more moderate brand of quilted toilet paper thinking it was similar but with a less expensive price tag. — — I now buy the 12 Big Rolls package. It is equal to 24 Regular Rolls. The soft touch and absorbent quality of Charmin Utra makes this our familys' favorite. — As Mr. Whipple would say, "Squeezably Soft!" Each roll contains 200 sheets of softness. It may cost a bit more than other brands but it seems to last longer and doesn't use as much as the cheap brands. — I was worried about the safety of our septic system but Charmin states it is safe for your sewer or septic system. No...

richelmore says "The busy and cramped student's lifesaver!" about BookHug

As a third year college student, my book stack is pretty monstrous (you know this is the same for my non-school related books, too, if you read my reviews often!). Some of these beasts are 800+ pages (Who does this??). — — After getting a Barnes and Noble gift card and wanting to buy more than just books to add to the collection, I saw that there were several bookstands available for sale. A little light bulb turned on that told me I should most definitely look into these since I often stay up into the wee hours of the night hovering under a giant book and scrambling in between the pages and layer of chaos to keep track of my homework. With a bookstand, I could just prop the thing up and have space to keep organized. — — This is exactly the case with the BookHug. It's just a little thing and if you didn't know what it was, you wouldn't. It's made of steel, I believe, and is just wonderful. It's small and easy to stow away when you don't need to have book...

There are a lot of times where I will print out something, or will have typed up a form and printed out a couple, only to realize that I put the wrong number, or wrong account on it. I am the type of person that really doesn't like wasting paper, and instead of having to print an entire page again, just because I made one typo, it is nice to have something that will allow me to make basic changes without resorting to tossing that first print. This is where one of Bic's better products comes in to play, and that is with Wite-Out Plus Correction Fluid. I am sure you have seen products like this before, but let me take a quick moment to explain how this one works. If you have printed out something, and you find that there was a misspelled word, you can use this wite-out to make a quick change. It comes in a small little bottle, with a lid that screws on tightly to not allow the fluid to spill when not in use. When you unscrew the lid, you see that attached to it is a little brush that...

Bic has long been the standard for inexpensive mechanical pencils that can be used in any fashion that a regular pencil would be used. The difference being that you never have to sharpen them, and that they are sturdier, and less apt to break than a wooden pencil. I remember using the Bic mechanical pencils as far back as when I was in high school, and that they were the really cool thing to have at the time. Sure mechanical pencils have come a long way since these were the top of the line, but the original Bics still hold a great place in both usability and functionality within the business world. — — These particular Bic mechanical pencils have clear barrels, allowing you to see inside the pencil to where the lead is being held. It isn't all that exciting though, because within the barrel is an inner wall that protects the lead from being broken during repeated drops. Though not perfect, the intent of the double wall is to keep movement of the lead pieces to a minimum...

I have the desktop version of this product on my desk at work. It is the most handy thing to have there. I use it to hold all of the documents that I need to look at on a daily basis: pager list, school info sheet, school calendar, tax exempt letter, important memos, etc. All of these documents are just sitting right in front of me now. There's no clutter, no time lost looking for documents. All I have to do is flip, flip, flip until I find what I need. For documents that I have to take out (like the tax document that I have to fax often) there is no problem at all, the pockets are easy to load and unload. They come in 3 different styles: desktop, wall (good for those in cubicles), and arm (clip on the side of a desk). I would recommend this product to anyone that deals with a lot of papers....

Rose Art Classic Washable Markers are a keeper in my book. I've washed marks out of my children's clothes numerous times. My kids love the bright colors and I've enjoyed seeing their creativity blossom. We picked these up at Wal-Mart for about 60 cents a pack. — The only drawback is that the caps must be put back on or they dry out. My kids don't always get that concept, but occasionally I'll pull out the marker bucket and we play the "draw a line with each marker and throw away the ones that don't write" game. — Well, another drawback is that it's a little challenging to wash off of skin. I think my four-year-old may want a tattoo when she's older. My 10-month-old sometimes looks like a tattoo if I'm not watching carefully enough. I haven't been arrested for taking them out in public that way if I didn't have time to scrub. — My Viewpoint: — Nice markers at a great price. —...
