richelmore says "The busy and cramped student's lifesaver!" about BookHug

As a third year college student, my book stack is pretty monstrous (you know this is the same for my non-school related books, too, if you read my reviews often!). Some of these beasts are 800+ pages (Who does this??). — — After getting a Barnes and Noble gift card and wanting to buy more than just books to add to the collection, I saw that there were several bookstands available for sale. A little light bulb turned on that told me I should most definitely look into these since I often stay up into the wee hours of the night hovering under a giant book and scrambling in between the pages and layer of chaos to keep track of my homework. With a bookstand, I could just prop the thing up and have space to keep organized. — — This is exactly the case with the BookHug. It's just a little thing and if you didn't know what it was, you wouldn't. It's made of steel, I believe, and is just wonderful. It's small and easy to stow away when you don't need to have book...

As much as I love the computer, I write the old fashioned way very often. The only type of pen I ever purchase for myself since my first job a is a Paper Mate. The others just do not have the same feel in my hand and they do not meet the paper with the same grace, ease, and style the way this brand of pen does. — I use them for all my writing needs: —...

My coworkers seriously question my sanity on a daily basis for going on and on about my Papermate Profile pen... but truthfully, it's the best one I've ever used. — It says on the package that it's the "World's Smoothest Pen" and I couldn't agree more. It does indeed write smoothly - - and the finger grip makes it super comfy! Plus, these pens come in a variety of colors... my personal fave is the turquoise. — My boss loves 'em so much, he keeps stealing mine and hiding them around his office for his own use! — Try the Papermate Profile pen - trust me, you'll love it! — ...

There are a lot of times where I will print out something, or will have typed up a form and printed out a couple, only to realize that I put the wrong number, or wrong account on it. I am the type of person that really doesn't like wasting paper, and instead of having to print an entire page again, just because I made one typo, it is nice to have something that will allow me to make basic changes without resorting to tossing that first print. This is where one of Bic's better products comes in to play, and that is with Wite-Out Plus Correction Fluid. I am sure you have seen products like this before, but let me take a quick moment to explain how this one works. If you have printed out something, and you find that there was a misspelled word, you can use this wite-out to make a quick change. It comes in a small little bottle, with a lid that screws on tightly to not allow the fluid to spill when not in use. When you unscrew the lid, you see that attached to it is a little brush that...

SpokaneMan says "Great mechanical pencils from BIC that are also affordable!" about BIC America & Mechanical Pencil (Mpp51)

Bic has long been the standard for inexpensive mechanical pencils that can be used in any fashion that a regular pencil would be used. The difference being that you never have to sharpen them, and that they are sturdier, and less apt to break than a wooden pencil. I remember using the Bic mechanical pencils as far back as when I was in high school, and that they were the really cool thing to have at the time. Sure mechanical pencils have come a long way since these were the top of the line, but the original Bics still hold a great place in both usability and functionality within the business world. — — These particular Bic mechanical pencils have clear barrels, allowing you to see inside the pencil to where the lead is being held. It isn't all that exciting though, because within the barrel is an inner wall that protects the lead from being broken during repeated drops. Though not perfect, the intent of the double wall is to keep movement of the lead pieces to a minimum...

I have the desktop version of this product on my desk at work. It is the most handy thing to have there. I use it to hold all of the documents that I need to look at on a daily basis: pager list, school info sheet, school calendar, tax exempt letter, important memos, etc. All of these documents are just sitting right in front of me now. There's no clutter, no time lost looking for documents. All I have to do is flip, flip, flip until I find what I need. For documents that I have to take out (like the tax document that I have to fax often) there is no problem at all, the pockets are easy to load and unload. They come in 3 different styles: desktop, wall (good for those in cubicles), and arm (clip on the side of a desk). I would recommend this product to anyone that deals with a lot of papers....

Katrena says "Rose Art Classic Washable Markers--bright & inexpensive" about Rose Art Classic Washable Markers

Rose Art Classic Washable Markers are a keeper in my book. I've washed marks out of my children's clothes numerous times. My kids love the bright colors and I've enjoyed seeing their creativity blossom. We picked these up at Wal-Mart for about 60 cents a pack. — The only drawback is that the caps must be put back on or they dry out. My kids don't always get that concept, but occasionally I'll pull out the marker bucket and we play the "draw a line with each marker and throw away the ones that don't write" game. — Well, another drawback is that it's a little challenging to wash off of skin. I think my four-year-old may want a tattoo when she's older. My 10-month-old sometimes looks like a tattoo if I'm not watching carefully enough. I haven't been arrested for taking them out in public that way if I didn't have time to scrub. — My Viewpoint: — Nice markers at a great price. —...

The Reason — I moved into a bigger cubicle, so I had room to organize! I was very unsure of what I wanted, until I saw this Mesh collection. It not only looked nice, but I already knew how I could use it to organize. In general I've always liked these file-sorter things because it allows you to keep many folders and files all in an organized location. I decided to go with the Mesh collection because I loved the way it looked and it seemed practical at the same time. I couldn't be happier with the 3 sorters that I bought! — — The Design — The first thing you should note is that there are NOT six compartments as the title suggests. Mine is just like in the picture with only 5 compartments made with six walls. It had the same description on the product when I ordered it from OfficeMax, but it is not accurate. This is not a big deal to me, but if you are looking for something with exactly 6 compartments, look elsewhere. — — If you don't care...

I have used Sharpie pens for years now and keep finding more uses as time goes by. They are great for many things like labeling packages, marking computer disks or sleeves and even making graph charts for college projects. Let me share with you some of the other uses I have found over the years..... — — Sharpie Permanent Markers — — These come in different colors but the most useful color for me is Black and it has helped me many times over the past few years. I have 4 bar stools that seems to get chipped or scratched every time I turn around. I just grab a Sharpie and PRESTO the scratch is gone! — — On my pool skimmer it has marks for the high and low water levels for the pool, well as I get older it is harder to see those marks. I used a Sharpie to mark the lines and now I can see then at a glance very easy! — — In college I used them to mark rolls of developed film so I knew what each roll of negatives had on them and it saved me...

SpokaneMan says "Zebra's : RollerBall pens with a fine point and flowing ink" about Zebra Pen Corporation Zeb Roller 2000 Rollerball Pen0.7mm Blue Ink/Gold Barrel

In the world of oddly created pens, or at least ones that look weird when you are writing with them, the Zebra Zeb-Roller 2000 may just take the cake. When the pen has its cap on, it looks similar to a lot of other wide bodied pens with a few small differences. The pen is a gold color for most of its barrel and lid, with a strip of blue on either side where the pens decal is laid. The cap also has a nice silver clip with additional writing denoting that this is indeed a Zebra pen. Maybe there is a hidden joke somewhere that these "zebra" pens have a blue stripe on each side, but it actually hides a secret. — — When you hold the pen up to the light, the stripes and the decals become transparent. When the light shines through, you are able to see the ink cartridge within the pen, and thus able to gauge just how much ink you have left. This is a neat little trick, because it actually took me a while to figure out that you could really see through the pen. It...

When I saw (and paid attention to) the new Sharpie commercial, I realized it was different. I love Sharpie markers, so when I realized Sharpie came out with an actual pen, I was happy. I ran out to Staples to get it. Well, first I checked online to see where I could get the best deal. I could only find the new pen at Staples. The new Sharpie Pen 4 pack at Staples is $6.99 plus tax, which isn't too bad. — As soon as I got home I had to try it. It claims to not bleed through paper, and it really doesn't!. This is a big plus. The pen writes very smoothly and glides like a good ball point. — There are some cons. The pen still looks like a marker which disappointed me. The grip is similar to Sharpie thin markers, it has no comfort. I probably would not use it to write long papers or for any long period of time, but it is great for quick notes. — Sharpie Pens come in four colors: Black, blue, green, and red. I bought the variety pack with one of each color, but they...

I don't know where we found these or how we started using them, but my dad has purchased a bunch of these "paint" markers and we've been using them for one purpose and one purpose only - Labeling CDs! I've found a few other useful purposes for these markers so I thought I'd let you all know. This is not just your ordinary marker! — — Warnings — Someone pointed out to me a website that says: — — For the same reasons, if you want to write directly onto the surface of a disc, you want to use pens that are approved for use on unlabeled CD-R media. The ink in some kinds of pens may damage the top coating of the disc................ Never use a solvent-based "permanent" marker on a CD-R -- it can eat through the lacquer coat and destroy the disc. — — Well I looked into it and first of all I've never had a problem with any of my CDs, even CDs I've labeled 5+ years ago.
I purchased the Wausau Papers Cardstock Paper, 65 Lb., 8 1/2"x11", 75 pk, Bright White to try out. — — I needed a quality cardstock to print fliers for an upcoming art show I am in. This was a last minute purchase at Target. They were priced at $3.98 for 75 sheets and seemed like a great price to try this brand. — — I printed up 50 pages with 100 fliers on them. The prints turned out extremely nice. The paper printed very sharp and looked very professional. The bright white was a great choice since the fliers were colorful. Target only had the bright white. — — I liked the fact that this cardstock is acid free. This product can be used with lazer, inkjet, offset and copiers. That makes the Wausau Papers Cardstock very versatile. — — I am looking forward to trying more colors in this brand for other fliers and projects that I have coming up soon. — — I am very pleased with...
