This is a truly high-end pharmacy filed with all sorts of supplements and health products. It's out of the way -- not in a shopping district but in a low-rise medical complex full of doctor's offices on Cedar Ln. just north of the National Institutes of Health. You have to know it's there. It seems the place does a lot of business through its website and toll-free number (800) 869-9159.

But here you can find all sorts of vitamins, nutritional supplements, protein powders, etc. not availalbe elsewhere, including digestive aids sold only through health professionals that you can't get in standard drug stores or health food stores.

And the staff is always plentiful and eager to help you find what you're looking for among the crowded aisles. Some of the supplements are kept behind the counter, so if you don't see what you're looking for, ask. And this is strictly an apothecary -- it doesn't carry the various other supplements from batteries to dishwasher detergents and magazines you expect...

This Walgreens in Alameda is the only pharmacy opened 24 hours. While others close at 6pm on weekends or 9pm on weekdays, this Walgreens can service you from dusk until dawn and they know this. They have a monopoly in Alameda and unless people want to drive to Highland or further out in Oakland, they're stuck with Walgreens.

This is why they do not accept any discount prescription drug cards, except their own - which is not free - but they ask if you'd like to pay into the "Walgreens discount drug card" that costs $20, just to save a few dollars per prescription. They still accept most major drug plans (like Blue Cross, Blue Shield, Health Net) but as Walgreens is non-union, union workers may be up a creek when deciding to use them or not (if their plans are accepted).

The store itself is nice, and the employees are usually helpful and respectful. It's just the policies that are frustrating, especially when they'd rather push their private club on patients instead of helping them....

I am a budget conscious coupon user and I must say this CVS store is not only coupon friendly but helpful, clean, well organized and well stocked. I have had nothing but great shopping experiences with this store and I will shop at this CVS as much as I can.

The Extra Care Buck program is a win win for store and consumer alike. I always find the products I want at a price that is reasonable. The store is a 24 hour location so I can even shop at 2 am.m if I like.

You are always welcomed when you first enter the store and there is always someone there to assist you if you need help. The store is always well stocked and clean. I have only had 1 occasion where I needed to ask for a raincheck and it was issued with no problems. When I went back to redeem the raincheck they had the products back in stock!

If you want a very pleasant shopping experience consdier shopping in this store, you will be glad you did.

Mylan Brand Felodipine's side effects cause me severe stiffening of the neck, lower back pain and deep constipation. Mutual Brand does not. My doctor has prescribed Mutual Brand.

The 2625 Stevenson Dr, Springfield, IL 62703, 217-529-8185, NWC of Taylor & Stevenson refused to order Mutual Brand Felodipine for me despite its availability because as the head pharmacist Becky Hale says, it's inconvenient and the regional manager wont allow it. She advises me to shop elsewhere though she hates to lose me as a customer. Mind you this medication is available and in the Walgreen's computers as available. After my physician wrote a prescription not to substitute other brands for Mutual Brand and I took it to the Taylor Street pharmacy tonight, Jul 9, 2009, pharmacist techie Ken was rude and said for the 18th time the answer is no. I think you've been told no before.

However, the 2945 S 6th S, Springfield, IL 62703, 217-788-5846, 6th & Apple Orchard has ordered the prescription for me. How...

I have tried to reach someone to talk about switching from CVS Pharmacy to Walgreens pharmacy for all my pharmacy needs to no avail. I have tried to get make contact through calling (847) 914-2500 and (847) 940-2500. No one at either phone number answers. I'M trying to acquire a $25.00 Check to be used toward next NON-PHARMACY Purchase as was recieved by my grandson Michael Vidosavljevic at our same address, his account is 737555/66677 -CGA. I'm retired and my co-payment per month for prescriptions is between $60.00 to $150.00 depending upon my needs. I went to Walgreen's in Marysville on Thanksgiving Day while visiting family. I'd never been there before as we live in Southern California, but I am an avid shopper and wanted to pick up the Thanksgiving ad deals.

The cashier was great, but when we were done ringing my order I realized that a Register Reward hadn't printed. Since it was an item I didn't need desperately I said I would like to get a refund, since I was only buying it because of their advertised Register Reward. He said that only the manager could do that and discouraged me. I knew I was going to come in again the next day for the Black Friday deal on a few items, so I let it go.

The next day I picked up my Black Friday items and had two coupons, only one of which I was going to use. I offered it to the cashier, since the Cucumber body butter was such a great deal, but she thought I had asked if I could use more than one coupon and she got mean with me. Egads!

I went to Walgreens to fill a prescription. I was very unimpressed with their lack of customer service. They could not fill my prescription and they did not even have the courtesy to call or even have an automated system call and let me know that they were having problem filling my prescription....

The particular Walgreen's in La Marque, TX is a joke. The pharmacy section has the most slowest people working there I've ever seen. We've had nothing but problems since we started patronizing this store. After many attempts to change my maiden name to my new last name they still don't have it right in the computer. Not only that but they never get your insurance information right even after them updating it in their computers! I had to wait over 2 hours for my prescription and when I arrived they hadn't even filled it, that was the last straw. We have since changed pharmacies--CVS is where we do our business from now on!...

I have been a Walgreens customer for decades. I have had my prescriptions filled at Walgreens for longer than I can remember. The pharmacists are friendly and very helpful. I wouldn't transfer my prescriptions for anything in the world....

Walgreens provides the best shopping experience in perspective of value and how much you are spending. Their sucessful rebate programs and coupons provide cheap access to household utilities and supplies as well as products served for cooking, sleeping, hygiene, and eating. I have never yet experienced a problem with any of their pharmacies and their many convenient, easy locations provide a fast checkout. I highly recommend Walgreens for those looking to save money, as sometimes items come free through rebates.

I have filled my family's last prescription at this pharmacy. This place is slow and the service is terrible.

Waiting lines of people 5+ are the norm no matter when you go there. I have had to call my Dr's office several times because they send the prescription and it just never seems to get there. Today I went there several hours after it was called in and they had nothing on file (BIG SURPRISE) so I called the Dr.'s office and they resent it. We did our shopping, went back 45 min later and still nothing. So I got my Dr's office on my cell phone and handed it to the clerk who said "I can't take prescription calls" (THIS IS A PHARMACY) and I said "You better find somebody who can". After about 5 minutes someone came with a piece of paper and said "Hot off the fax". Funny how quickly things happen when you get steaming mad. The only reason I went is because of the convenience of everything in one place. Well today bad service just trumped convenience and I'm taking my pharmacy...

I have been using West Side Pharmacy for many years and have never been told "we don't stock that medication" or "we're out of that right now" as I have at Wal-Mart

Nor have I been given the WRONG medication as Walgreen's did (good thing I knew what it was supposed to look like, or I could have had serious problems - if not died!)

The people go out of their way to serve their customers. They have went to the Immediate Care Nurse's station for my prescription, taken it to the Pharmacy, filled it, and taken it back to Immediate Care for me to pick up after their business hours when I couldn't get there before thay closed.

Also, if you have to pay out of pocket for your medications, check the prices! I have called Wal-Mart, Walgreen's, Rite-Aid and Meijer's for prices, and my local Leader Drug store - Westside Pharmacy - had the best price!

They are located just inside the front door at West Side Family Medical Center on West Main St., across from Meijer's.

I have a few prescription I get refilled on a monthly basis (more during the cold and flu season). My employer does not have a mail-order prescription plan, so I get the filled the old-fashioned way: go to the pharmacy. I use Walgreens pharmacy for all of my prescriptions. They are friendly and efficient. I really like the ability to request refills online and then pick them up via the drive-through. I can't recommend it more....

Intro
A good pharmacy is hard to find. When I was growing up we had a neighborhood pharmacy, where the pharmacists knew you and your family, and there wasn't as many decisions that needed to be made over which pharmacy to go to. Yet now, those old pharmacies are all but gone, and they've been replaced by pharmacy chains. Instead of going to where the people know us and our medical history, we find ourselves looking for places that will handle our insurance claims, and carry other items to do one-stop shopping.

Location
To me, the best aspect of Walgreens is its many locations. There are two within seven minutes of my home, and countless others within thirty minutes. It's to the point it almost seems like there's one on every corner. One Walgreens is close enough that I can walk there if I need to. Aside from locally, they're throughout the country. I like the fact that I can go on vacation, and if I run out of a prescription, lose it, etc., I can go to a Walgreens anywhere and have them......
