My husband and I bought wedding bands at Freber Jewelers in Beaver Dam, WI and spent around $4 thousand dollars or more. I have also had them put diamonds in another special ring for me. They started out being a nice store for me to shop locally! I had my wedding ring checked there before and added to my ring with no problem. I went there one day to sell some old jewellery and an older women that they had working there was so rude I refused to go pick up my money for my old gold, so I had my husband do it for me. After about 8 months I went back to give it another try. I took my wedding band in for a check and I told them I had bent my ring I had believed on my washer at home. Carol the women that has worked at Ferber's for a long time said yes this looks like you did somethings to it, but he can fix this no problem and I was thinking of adding to my wedding band again on the other side this time. I went to Milkes Jewelers on Cedar Ridge in Duncanville to trade some old jewelry for something I would wear. I found a wedding, half ct and engagement ring, which the salesman said was 2.5 ctws. I had my diamond heart set where the half ct diamond was. When I picked up the ring I asked for the half ct diamond and was told they were keeping it. My white gold rings were yellow where they had sized them. I argued and said they could give me back the jewelry I traded and take their's back. I was told it was to late, they had already done something with the jewelry and no longer had it. I asked how much the half ct round diamond would cost me if I walked in to buy it. The salesman said $100.00 to $150.00. Supposedly this was Si and G to H in color, round briallant cut diamond. I argued some more and finally got a half ct diamond pendant for the half ct diamond.

I had 3 white gold rings in for sizing, all came back yellow. I had an 18kt gold ring, which they put 14kt...

From the moment I walked in the door of Tsunami Beads and Gems, I new I was going to be there for a while. It is also home to Moonstone Body and Home, which offers lotions, and perfumes, and some home decor and furnishing items, and various art, wind chimes etc.

I went in to check out the beads, I was very happy with the selections. They had a couple of large tables with loose beads in little bins, and all kinds of strands of beads-from crystals to gemstones hanging on the walls. They have beading supplies and offer beading classes.

They also have Carribean Larimar jewelry,designed by Marah Lago and have very beautiful handmade jewelry for sale as well.

I ordered two wedding rings 1/13/09, it is now 2/19/09 and no rings! I have left voicemails daily, sent emails daily, and even sent several faxes trying to find out what is going on and no response what so ever. My credit card was charged for my rings, my wedding is this weekend, and we have no rings. This probly would not be an issue if someone would just contact me about what is going on!!!! I am going today to my bank to dispute charges, maybe after charges are reversed the will contact me cause they lost $$....

My husband-to-be bought me my first pearl necklace from Bourdage Pearls. It was so beautiful that I wore it on my wedding day! I also worked with the owner of the store to custom design my bridesmaids jewelry/gifts. Whenever I have a special occasion or not, I go to Bourdage Pearls. They have an impressive range of affordable designs as well as the high-end Tahitians and South Sea pearls. Everytime I walk into the store I am amazed at the gorgeous colors and styles of necklaces, rings, bracelets, etc. I want to try everything on! The salespeople are always so friendly, helpful and patient. Recently I was at Bourdage Pearls and they now repair pearl jewelry. I can't say enough great things about Bourdage Pearls. It is definitely one of my favorite stores in Chicago!

One strand: Bourdage Pearls is a jewlery boutique specializing in the design and sales of pieces made from Chinese freshwater pearls. Bourdage Pearls is owned by Sherri Bourdage, who opened the boutique in the 1990s. All of the jewlery is designed by Sherri, her husband or a member of her small staff.

Two strands: I stumbled upon Bourdage Pearls when I first moved from the suburbs to the city in August 2008. I spent the afternoon shopping along Southport and venturing in to many of the great boutiques. I love pearls, so I was very excited when I saw the display in the windows of Bourdage Pearls.

Sherri was incredibly welcoming. She was personable and patient, and she was passionate about her business and pearls. Sherri easily answered all of my questions about the jewlery I was interested in purchasing, and she even explained the difference between Chinese and Japenese pearls. (Most important fact - Chinese pearls are less expensive but look better, too!)

When I have spare time, which is rare now that I have a baby, I like to make jewelry. Especially necklaces and earrings. When I am looking for beads, I love to go to The Black Bead in the Ocean Beach neighborhood of San Diego. Like Ocean Beach, The Black Bead is very funky and eclectic. There is something there for everyone.

One thing I love about The Black Bead is that they will let you make jewelry right in the store. They have bead trays to map out your design so you know exactly what you need to buy. They have everything ranging from gem stones to glass and plastic beads. They also sell necklaces, earrings and other types of jewelry. The employees there are so helpful; they will help you with anything you need.

If you're in the market for unique quality jewelry, this is your place. My special someone and I spent the afternoon looking for a ring that was simple, pretty, not too expensive, and not over the top. After elbowing our way around the mall jewelry stores I was about to give up until I remembered a small boutique I passed the other day. It couldn't have been a nicer experience. We found both found rings that we loved and the staff was knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. They carry an impressive array of original pieces, and they work with the designers if you wanted a custom job (for extra $$, of course). As a budget conscious person, I was very happy with their reasonable prices. This store comes highly recommended!...

I recently took a buch of my old jewelery to a jeweler and had a wedding set made, They lost the 1 1/4 carat sapphire and they took 3 times longer than they promised> They replaced it with a broken sapphire, my gold turned orange. They took it backed gave me a smaller sapphire and promised to replace it with waht I had, I guess buffed the ring out. Two days later it turned orange again and when I called them they said they wanted the certification papers to my lost stonebefore they replaced the small stone, they lied. They would not give me my appraisal, when i did finally get it the nimber of daimonds weren't even right. They just shafted me all the way around....

I am a jewelry aficionado. some people buy furniture; some buy shoes and clothes, i purchase jewelry and have pieces made many times a year. Therefore to me, a jewelry store is more important than many retail stores.
I went here on my husbands recommendation. He had had a few of my rings sized and bought a chain for a pendant for me. He thought id love the shop. I especially love antiques. I went in to have some items repaired and to have some items made. They also said they buy jewelry. I wrote the owner asking to come in and speak about that and someone else answered two days later but didn't actually address the email i wrote. I immediately received the impression that they assumed we didn't have much to spend , which is a silly error to make for many reasons. The sales woman said she didn't know if Sandy would be interested in buying any of my jewelry and i should ask. I already had and never received an answer, so i let that matter drop. I walked into the Beadnik's Chicago store and was overwhelmed. By the beauty, the coolness and the opportunities ahead to create beautiful necklaces, rings, bracelets -- the possibilities were endless. Their materials are phenomenal: from rare trade beads to simple stones, ranging in color, size, shape and price. There are hundreds of small bowls placed around the store and beads are sold by weight or by strand. They have a massive collection of chains, cords, hooks, ribbon and wire available to string the beads and pendants.

Throughout the store, they have jewelry for sale that was made by the staff. Bracelets, earrings, necklaces, rings, key-chains, almost anything you can think of. They also have interesting jewelery that they have purchased that they sell. Their prices are fair and consistent.

The hidden jewel of Beadnik's is the staff. They are insanely creative and helpful. Cool, hip and very outgoing! Each time I have gone there with a concept they have helped me take it......

Ultra Diamond is inside of Burlington Coat factory, the customer service is outstanding, great and uniqe jewelry designs, great prices. Even if you are on a budget they have something for you, they even have a finance free charge card, so you can buy all you want and have up to 12 months to pay for it interest free.

It's really amazing, i purchased a ring there i got so many compliments every times i wear it, now it's the only place i go when i want a different jewelry design on a budget.

When I proposed to my wife I wanted to get a special ring that would not only look good but stay looking that way. I checked many places and when I walked into Helzberg Diamonds I was impressed. I mean if you saw a guy with long hair, jeans and a ratty t-shirt walk into a jewelry store would you welcome him like he was the only customer of the day? Probably not but Helzberg did just that and took the time with me to pick out the perfect ring.

My Experience

The saleslady that took her time with me asked what my budget was and I told her there was none as I wanted something to make my "Baby" look like a million! Well okay maybe not a Million but you know what I mean...lol So she showed me some 1/4 and 1/2 caret engagement rings and they looked good but the wedding band that went with them just didn't hint any cords with me. Then I spied a gorgeous ring that look like a cocktail ring but I liked it. She then told me it was an Engagement/Wedding band all in one? Okay now I was curious so I asked......

Wednesday, my husband and I chose a diamond ring at Wright's Jewelry for a Chrstmas present for me. The gentleman that waited on us was so very patient as we made our selection. It was a pleasant experience. However, that night and the next day, as I wore the ring, I found that it just wasn't quite exactly what I really, really wanted. Thursday, we went back to Wright's Jewelry and spoke with another gentleman, who patiently listened to my concerns. They let me choose another ring, and made the exchange without one hint of any negative feelings on their part. They made me feel special and truly seemed to want to make me very happy. What a terrific experience = twice in two days. This is surely the jewelry store for someone like me....

This Rock Store has lots for everyone. They have tons of affordable (even under $1) stuff for kids, quality specimens and gemstones, lots of reasonably priced jewelry, and some fabulous designer lines. Amazing in such a small area.

This isn't your 24,000 square foot rock warehouse - but they pack a lot into a small area. It's truly like eye candy when you walk into the building. For those that collect and/or love rocks and specimens, teachers who need material for classrooms, folks who like jewelry, and those that want to make their own jewelry - they've got something for everyone.

Nice little find tucked into a fabulous historic city about 45 minutes south of San Jose off 101.

I will never go to another jewelry store again, Jared the Galleria of Jewelry won me over. I was used to going into mall stores like Zales or Kays but they don't compare to the quality of merchandise I saw at Jared. When you walk into the store you are amazed by how big it is inside, there is so much to look at. The prices I found while I was there were a lot lower than the ones I found at the mall across the street and the diamond quality was way better too. The sales associate actually took the time to tell me about the 4 Cs of diamonds (which nobody else ever had) and even cleaned my jewelry for me. I felt very comforted while shopping there and the general manager even came over to tell me how beautiful my earrings were. The cappuccino there is Starbucks-worthy and free!! They carry something for everyone, they had Rolex and Cartier all the way down to silver and baby jewelry. I can't say enough great things about this jewelry store, I'm a life-long customer now!...

I’ve been looking for a charm for Hanna. She is our Pomeranian who wears a harness. I've wanted to put a charm on the harness for almost as long as she’s been around. I finally found one at a fair we went to in Portland, Oregon and was very happy with the service I got at Victorian Station Fashion Jewelry.

A Closer View

Victorian Station is housed in Hood River, Oregon but had a booth at a crafts fair in Portland. They sell fashion jewelry and accessories. The owners are L. Steven and Billie Fisher.

They had a large variety of pretty costume jewelry including earrings, bracelets and necklaces at very reasonable prices. There were several areas of necklaces on sale. The regular price was $9.95. On this day they were $6.95 or two for $10.00.

I saw a charm on a necklace I liked for Hanna. Although it wasn’t sterling it had a lobster claw clasp. I asked one of the owners if he could put the clasp from the chain onto the charm and explained why. He was more...
