The Plant Station is another garden center in Appleton I like to visit in the spring and fall.

What is unique about this garden center is that they start all of their flowers and veggies from plugs in their own green house which is the same area that you can look, find and purchase from. I feel like I am walking in a plant field. All plants/flats are on the ground of the green houses. Not very good for older people or handicapped wanting that plant in the back row, nor is it to get around, but if you ask they are more then happy to give you a hand. The service and knowledge they have is very handing and nice.

They get three stars because they are more pricey then the other local garden centers and to maneuver around is not the easiest. Other then that they have a super selection and they even have plants you can't find at other garden centers to give your garden the Ooo-la-la.

I found my Mom some beautiful red geraniums, double begonias (pink and white) and a fiber...

It's getting just a tad closer to spring and I am so excited. I do container gardening on my patio and I can plant anything from sweet corn, peanuts, to different flowers and Stein Gardens and Gifts here in Appleton Wisconsin, (they also have locations through out Wisconsin), is one of my spring plant shopping stops to gather the greatest selection and different looking plants. (I love different and color).

I do the planting for my Mom's mini garden and she had a old fire pit, we loaded it up with moisture soil (retains moisture). She just loves her Geraniums (red) and to add a little contrast we went with a beautiful white Double Begonia. Just looks like a tiny little rose and blooms all summer long (semi sun). The double Begonia was something new that I found at Stein's and they also have it in other beautiful colors too. Steins has a huge selection of plants, annuals (blooms once a year), perennials (blooms every year), unique bushes and shrubs as well.

We recently completed a large landscaping project, and bought all of our plants from the Andersons. Great selection, and all the plants were healthy and strong. We've been back many times since then! While you are there, go inside the general store and check out all the other things they have to offer. You'll be amazed!...
