Just Flowers is a web site that invites people to order flowers online and gives them the temptation of a small discount. They advertise that they will deliver within 4 hours of your order. They do NOT tell you that they are on the West Coast and won't even read your order for 3 more hours (if you're on the East Coast). That was the first scam.

I paid $5.00 for them to deliver within 4 hours (the impression is that it's free). It wasn't.

Not only were my flowers to my sick son in Tampa not delivered on the day I had paid $5.00 extra to have them delivered, but they weren't delivered until Sunday night.

At that time, the lowers delivered were 'sparse and bedraggled' according to my daughter-in-law. The florist refused to deliver a replacement, as you told me they would, instead doing a delaying action calling repeatedly, wanting me to state 'specifically' what was wrong with the flowers. Finally, after he had been dismissed, still with no flowers, they left a hand-written note...

I ordered flowers online through bloomex to be delivered to my mother in Montreal. The site was easy to use, they had soooo much selection, I called an agent to place my order because I had a few questions. The girl was so pleasant and took the time to go through everything with me. I was really surprised about 2 things- the first is this company doesn't charge a "user fee" the way FTD and 1-800 flowers does, there is absolutely no $15 extra charge to use their services. I placed my order with the agent at 10am, and my flowers were delivered by 2pm that day! My mom cliams they are absolutely beautiful and would highly recommend them. Their prices are really good too.

I ordered the 12 Extra long stemmed red roses at www.bloomex.ca for $40.

After having dead flowers delivered by 1-800-flowers, I decided to call a local florist that my Mom said always had nice flowers. When I called, the young lady who answered the phone was so helpful. She answered all my questions and said she had the flowers I wanted in stock. I was not able to see the flowers as I live 1200 miles south of them. My Mom just loved the flowers and I will use Colonial Florist again and again. Mom said there were so many flowers she was thinking of putting them in another vase. Thank you Colonial for making Mothers Day a beautiful one for Mom....

We grew up in the small town of Tomah, WI and due to job transfers have moved about. Keeping in touch with our parents was important to us. One of the ways we did that was to periodically send them flowers so they knew we were thinking of them. J-J's played a big part in keeping us connected. Instead of using FTD we called personnally and ordered. We never had a delay in delivery and always heard that what we ordered was top quality. Now we have only an Aunt in Tomah but have continued to use J-J's to keep in touch with her. Their personal, professional service is much appreciated.

I got my mother a fabulous floral arrangement from Pennypack Flowers. She loved them. The flowers were fresh and bright and the arrangement was superb. The service is excellent and you cannot find any other florist with such reasonable prices. I highly recommend them....

Over the past several years, I have had many opportunities and occassions requiring the various services of a florist. Schaeffer's is my choice above all others. I have had them make corsages and buttonaires to coordinate with a wide range of formal, semi-formal, and even quirky attire, and the ladies never bat an eyelash-not even the year that my son and his girlfriend did a somewhat 1920's gangster/flapper theme for homecoming, which was topped off, with of all bizarre touches, kelly green converse high top shoes??? I was amazed at the ladies creativity and originality, and contrary to my fears, it didn't cost me an arm and a leg and my younger child sold to science as an experiment. I have ordered silk flower arrangements as well as live floral pieces, and both are of equally high quality and care. (One year my son and his date wanted black roses on silver leaves) I have also used them (they are affiliated with FTD) to ship items all over the country for weddings, funerals,......

I have ordered flowers from Morrow's for every type of occassion, from Birthday to Funerals and everything in between.

The flowers are always fresh and beautifully arranged. If I need something on short notice, I know I can count on them to exactly what I need in a very timely fashion.

They always add a personal touch and you know they really care.

Not only do they have a nice selection of flowers, they also have a nice selction of gift items. But the best part is how accomadating they are for their customers. If you need them to special order something, call around to other local florists to find a certain colored flower, open early. late, or on Sunday, they will. If you call last minute for a special order they will really work hard to accomadate you....

I have used The Flower Barrel on numerous occassions, and I have never been disappointed. The feedback regarding the flowers was excellent. Convenience is a plus with this florist because I often need flowers on the spur of the moment. All I have to do is call up and let them know what price range I have, type of flowers for the arrangement and any other specifics. They will take care of the rest. Not to mention, they ared very cost efficient. I would recommend them to all of my friends and family....

I ordered the "Mother's Day Bouquet" via phone from GA on a Friday, and the saleperson said they would promise delivery before Mother's Day. They delivered the bouquet on Friday evening while mom was home, so what a surprise she received. She called soon after receiving the flowers, thanked me and told me how beautiful they were. I was pleased with the service and how I wish I could have seen my mother's face lit up upon getting them. I am sure the online photo of the flowers did not do justice, so I can imagine how beautiful they were in reality. ...

My wife and I often shop at Jayson Home & Garden in Chicago for furniture and their ecelectic assortment of home goods. They also have a first rate (although expensive) garden and flower shop. For the past several important holidays (anniversary, valentines day etc) I have called up Jayson to send a tastefully done wildflower arrangement to my wife.

Every time they have delivered in spades. I trust their service and their taste and recommend them without reservation. (just be ready to pay the premium).

When my sister got married, she checked out a lot of Florists before choosing Merri-Craft. When I got married, there was no question I wanted the same Florist! Merri-Craft, located in Livonia, MI, could not have done a better job at both of our weddings and I must highly recommend them to anyone in Livonia, Canton, Novi, Detroit and other local cities. Besides our weddings, we have gotten flowers for Mother's Day and such and always they come out beautiful.

As a Bride, you have a lot to worry about already. The last thing you want to worry about is finding flowers that will match your colors. At Merri-Craft, you don't even have to think! We just brought in samples of our dress colors and swatches of paper from my invites. The ladies were then able to pick out a whole slew of flowers that would match. They know every flower in the book, exactly when each one grows, and what colors each one comes in.

When we have a choice of where to buy flowers we choose Trader Joe's flower department.

A Closer View

My husband brings me flowers. He really does and quite often. The ones pictured are my most recent ones though I didn't take the picture the day he bought them. They are gorgeous and still are after almost a week. The one closest to us is located at 1775 Washington Street in Hanover, MA. They are open 9:00a.m. to 9:00p.m., 781-826-5389.

When we are in Los Angeles (Silver Lake, 2738 Hyperion Ave., 9:00a.m. to 10:00p.m., 323-665-6774) and go over to our cousins' house we go to Trader Joe's for flowers in spite of being able to stop anywhere. I like Trader Joe's in general. It's a weekly stop for us for many of our grocery items. Our favorites are the frozen salmon, nuts, nuts and more nuts, rice milk and cereal. There are some items I can't find there such as some of the supplements I take and organic crackers.

The flowers can be found in bouquets or individually in pails and buckets....

I used AW Flowers for my wedding in Sept. 07 - Beautiful! The Flowers were absolutely breathtaking! All my guests were asking who my florist was! Adam (the owner) was wonderful, funny and so helpful. We got everything we wanted and more - at a very reasonable price! Adam was at my house early, he set up at the church and then at the reception hall! No need to stuff huge arrangements in the back of mom's van! He did an amazing job, and I would recommend him to any young bride looking to stay in her budget....

I love this particular flower shop not only for its incredibly beautiful arrangements, but also for the people, working there so effortlessly and enjoyably. I don't know, how even to explain it more eloquently, but all of a sudden you become a member of their family and they try to help you in anything, you would possibly want. And not even once I felt uncomfortable or pushed to buy something, I really did't want. That takes professionalism and just good, healthy human approach. I love this place. Marguerite Garden is a lovely little flower and gift shop tucked away on Clark Street in Chicago. Entering is the equivalent of approaching a botanical wonderland smack-dab in the middle of a major metropolis. The smell abounds of exotic flowers and Marguerite is also a skilled, known and respected landscaper if you chose to do more than just walk away with a wonderful bouquet.

If gifts are what you are after, you will find the perfect presents here, as she also carries candles, jewelry, glass knick knacks and fun findables. A sweet stop while gallivanting in Andersonville, I highly recommend a quick peek into this parfumed paradise.

This place is great. I needed something for a funeral but it was Saturday at 4:30pm......"good luck with that" but I was in luck. I found a great little shop that is open seven days a week from 8am to 8pm. I stopped in and the designer was still there. He helped me and built a large sympathy arrangement for a very reasonable price. He was concerned about me transporting such a large arrangement so he took it for me. I don't know if they always give this kind of service....but I was really impressed. I would recommend them to anyone....
