The Lakewood Trading Post is a store within the Lakewood Camping Resort. It's like a convenience store, gift shop and restaurant all in one. This is one of the first places we visit each year once we are all set up at our campsite. I personally love to see what new collections they have since my previous visit. Because this resort is owned and operated by a Christian family they have a large collection of inspirational products (t-shirts, purses, plaques, jewelry, etc.). It's nice to patronize the mom and pop shops so we often buy our souvenirs from here. I collect magnets during my travels so I usually grab up a few. I also get a lot of my postcards from here. This year I also bought my younger sister a really nice watch for her birthday and they even removed some the lengths in the band and had it ready for pickup the next morning.

Because Lakewood is a camping resort the Trading Post carries a collection of tools and supplies that one might need for repairing or setting...

This is a quaint little novelty store. You won't know about it unless you are in the small town of Batesburg-Leesville, SC. My Daddy always encouraged me to patronize and frequent the mom and pop stores so when we go to one of our favorite barbeque restaurants (Shealy's) we also visit Gifts Unique.

I believe it is owned and operated by a local resident and her daughter or granddaughter works with her. They are always very warm and inviting upon entering the store but they aren't overbearing like they are trying to push an item on you. There are no shopping carts or baskets so if they see your hands getting full they will offer to take some of your merchandise to the counter.

Gifts Unique doesn't really offer unique gifts. You can get the traditional Gamecocks and Clemson memorabilia. There is always a Christmas ornament section-yesterday I got a Snowberry ornament for $2.50-my first ornament of the season. You can also find a small selection of greeting cards, Beanie Babies,...

We visited the Hershey's store in Chicago during our fist trip, so of course I had to make sure and visit it during our second trip! It's located right off of Michigan Avenue, so it's easy to get to when you are out and about walking the Magnificent Mile.

The Hershey's store sells...
Exactly what you would expect, Hershey's! Hershey's kisses, Hershey's bars, Hershey's syrup, Hershey's gifts and more. They also sell things they make under other brands such as Reese's. Sure you can buy almost any of these candies at other places, but the Hershey's store presents you with the unique opportunity to find various candy gifts. This could be as simple as a mug that says Hershey's and has candy in it, or you can get something more novelty like a stuffed animal.

We all dream of buying the 5 Lb Hershey Bar, but if you are like me you say NO! Instead I visit just to buy one novelty item and, of course, some candy.

I'm Reveiwing Giftcards Because I've Recently Been Doing Alot Of THinking About Chirtmas.I Think That Alot More Often Now A Days Are Buying Gift Cards Rather Than Taking The TIme To Buy Or Make A Gift That Comes Form The Heart. Especially For Christmas. I'm Christian So Christmas Has Special Meaning To Me To Me It's The Day God Gave Mankind The Best Gift Of All. So I Think That People Should Put In At Least A Fraction Of That When Shopping For Loved Ones. I Especially Have A Problem With Gift Cards Are To Just Anywhere Like The Visa Giftcards You Might As Well Tell THe Person I Don't Even KNow What Store You Like Let Alone Anything Specific You Like.

On The Other Hand If It's Someone You Just Met Or Haven't Known For A While It Can Be A Nice Way Of Saying Just That I Don't Know You That Well Because We Just Met But Wanted To Get You Something Anyway.

Maido is a fun little store. They definitely have different, cute stuff. It seems lately like their inventory has gotten a little stagnant though. I used to see different, exciting stuff every time I went in, but lately it's always the same items, even if I haven't been in months. The past few times, I haven't bought anything. I'm a rather practical, cost-conscious shopper so "fun" stuff that doesn't necessarily fill a need has to be impressive in order to get me to buy....

Tuesday Morning's really does have something for everyone. From seasonal items to housewares, stationery to craft supplies, candles to picture frames, handbags to shoes . . . all at a great value. They also carry a wide variety of toys and games, as well as gourmet food items. On my most recent visit there I purchased a bautiful pink healthy back bag by Ameribag for $20. I have seen these elsewhere for $50. I also left with a beautful lined journal for $3 and a pair of high quality sports socks for $1.50. I highly reccomend this store to anyone shopping for a gift.

I happened to stumble across this wonderful store this past summer while attempting to find the new location address for the former music store next door. What a wonderful delight to find all sorts of beautiful things in this quaint store. I found a couple of large beautifully painted glazed pottery planters for my front steps at a very low price. There were many unique one of a kind items in all sorts of shapes. sizes, colors, and natural materials. Items from baskets, to copper boxes, to plates, bowls, lead crystal cut glass vases, pottery, and so many other beautiful treasures to add to your home or to give as gifts. One of the best items I found was good old fashion stationary! It came in all sorts of colors and styles and the packaging varied as well. I purchased a few wimsical stationary sets and a couple floral theme sets that were in a keepsake box neatly tied with a ribbon. I am going to be hosting a Christmas party this year. I volunteered so I am going to be stressed out this week but it will be great when it happens. I like to make a big splash for parties. I know that my factory card outlet store will have exactly what I need to throw a great party. They have the themed plates and dishes to serve my goodies on. While I am there I will be picking up helium balloons and streamers. I really find all I need here at this store. I also signed up for their mailing list and I get a lot of coupons in the mail and sometimes I find great deals because I can use the discount for clearance items. I am one of those who buys ahead of time. I bought my sons birthday stuff for next year as it was all on sale for $1 and I had a 20% off coupon great deal!!

How can you go wrong with this store? Or if you are in Wal-Mart they carry Hallmark cards now as well. I am a crown card holder which entitles me to money saving coupons and other goodies that they send me. I love this store because you can run in and out and find a card and a great gift to give as well. They run a lot of specials when you buy three cards there is always something neat you can get for the minimum cost.

If you love San-X, Totoro, or traditional Japanese crafts and stationary, Maido is your place. They carry a number of little Japanese gift items, washi paper, stationary, cards, calendars, wrapping paper, pens & office supplies, etc.

The drawback is that although many of the items are cute and/or unusual, their prices are borderline insane on account they're imported. Then again, if price is not an issue, knock yourself out.

Gift cards are the easiest and perfect gift ideal for almost everyone. It limits the stress of deciding what to give someone and allows the person the freedom to purchase what he/she wants. I would recommend gift cards for all occasions. It has been my experience, when receiving gift cards, to have the choice of either browsing the store to see what I like or to use it for a specific item I want. It's convenient for those times when you don't have time to go shopping but want to give a gift. Also, it's a little more personal than giving cash. It's for the person who is practical, value conscious and a bargain shopper. Today, most stores have gift cards and when you don't really know what to give a person, just give him/her a gift card from his/her favorite store....

This store is just a wonderful shopping experience. Small but a wide variety of items available. If they don't have it and can they will order it. The owner actually work in the store and they will help you any way they can. Very reasonably priced for the budget wise person....

Walmart is the type of Store that has some or a little of everything. If you do not find what you are looking for here, than it is over-priced and in a store that sells over-priced merchandise. Walmart has any gift cards for any occassion. I does not matter what your Religion is, you will still find the card to suit your fancy....

I have found that it is way too difficult to buy for such a large family plus probably wrongfully choosing gifts that aren't wanted.

So I have gone to giving Gift cards to favorite stores so that each party might get their own choice and be much happier than having to return my choices and then redeem it for something they REALLY want.

Walmart is a favorite shopping place for most of my family and thusly the ideal place to purchase Gift Cards.
