I would never shop at Grand Appliance again. I bought several items there including a stovetop, garbage disposal, washing machine and dryer. I thought I was getting a good deal and felt really good about using a local Chicago business. Unfortunately my washing machine arrived broken from Grand Appliance and stopped working several weeks later. I reached out to Grand Appliance hoping they would help expedite the process of getting my broken, brand new washing machine either fixed or replaced. They did nothing. They were the opposite of helpful. They didn't even have the decency to take responsibility for delivering a broken machine. When I called Grand Appliance Customer Service in Zion, the manager all but hung up on me and said "I have nothing to discuss with you. It's not our problem. We're done!" You will get better customer service from Best Buy, SEARS, and/or Menards. Don't waste your time and money on Grand Appliance. They want your money and nothing else.

After being a true advocate of one of my favorite home improvement store I was very dissapointed in the service I received upon a purchase of kitchen cabinets from Lowe's .

The experience started out with problems, i had a supposedly expert kitchen consultant that was late for our initial appointment , first clue that i should have RUN. I had one of the worst installers there was considering that they took from the time the cabinets were delivered up until approximately 5 weeks to complete the installation. I will not be using this home improvemnet store nor will i be recommending this store for any home improvement issues in the future . I was called by the local store because I had issued a complaint on their website , the person that I spoke to was apologetic , however due to the contrcted worker that were used I have completely lost all confidence in this store, maybe some one else has had a postive experience but I was very disappointed considering the cost that I am still paying...

am a relatively new home owner who moved in the area 3 years ago. Everyone told me to go to OConnor's and how great it was. So, I took the advice and by now have spent thousands of dollars there buying major items like mowers, snow blowers, etc. In the beginning I had some mixed experiences but I tried to look past the occasional bad service or misinformation and continued shopping there. However by now I have decided that going to HD/Lowes is much much much better ideas. OConnor's staff is not very helpful, if you can find them, The staff consists of mostly old guys who are rude, condescending and disrespectful, the younger staff members are just clueless with a don't care attitude. They also don't seem to know the products they are selling and I have had to return several parts/products because I took their advice. I have been called an idiot by one of their service guy, the manager is probably a former used car salesman (clueless about the concept of customer service). So, do yourself......

I love Lowes Appliance center! They are helpful and egar to to help. They offer a wide viarity of appliances and they are extreamly knowledgeable. They approch you to ask if you need help before you have to track someone down to ask for help. Their department is always neat and clean. It is easy to find what you want or need there. I have purchased all my appliances there with no problem. They always have great promotions and price match 110%, I have saved alot of money by shopping here. I would recommend to everyone who is looking to buy an appliance!...

I have purchased two different kitchen appliances from them over the last 3 years. Each time the sales people have been helpful and patient, never pushy. And the delivery guys have been great both times. Especially considering that I live about 20 miles from the store, one delivery was in the winter, and the other delivery had problems removing our old appliance but took it in stride. I plan to use them again very soon, and I would gladly recommend them to everyone.

The delivery is free, and they will usually remove the old appliance for you, too. A local big chain store wanted $50 for delivery just because we were 5 miles past their area and they lost a sale to me because of it.

I was in need of a new sump pump. Mine had died during a storm. I was able to go to the store and get everything I need to change out the old sump pump. The person in plumbing who helped me was very knowledgeable and went through the steps with me to make sure I had everything I needed....

And they are not trying to upsell--rather they want you to be a happy customer and so are dedicated to getting you connected with the right appliance and not just the one they have today....

The appliance department at Lowe's is very easy to shop. They offer many different models. They range from very basic to a lot of bells and whistles. There are price ranges to fit every budget. Lowe's staff are very helpful in answering your questions. They have many appliances on sale and offer special financing. If you are shopping for appliances Lowe's needs to be on your list....

I went to the Sears store located at Gwinnett Place Mall located in Atlanta Georgia. I was shopping for a new refrigerator. I was provided help by one of the salesman but, I made my own decision at the end. Sears has alot of variety to chose from and alot of different colors to chose from as well. They have your standard refrigs, the side by side and the bottom freezer style. We chose the side by side refrig that is black in color and has the ice and water dispenser. It also comes with the light by the ice and water dispenser. This is a good feature when getting water or ice at night. It also has both the ice crush and the ice cube. This is a good feature and allows you to chose which way you want your ice in your glass. Remember when you have different choices it allows for different things for different folks. The inside of the refrig was big and spacious to handle big ticket items. It has 2 crispers to keep vegetables fresh. The freezer part has several compartments as well. It......

At this Sears store we purchased a BOSCH dishwasher.

We have owned 4 washers over the last 18 years. None have compared in price, performance or quietness.

I would buy this brand again. It is amazing. Even without prewashing the dishes it does an unbelievable job.

Top rack to the bottom dishes sparkle.

Abt is simple fantasic if you find the right sales person. You can always and I mean always negociate prices there. They got a pretty good selection of everything and the layout of the store is good, but the product layout needs a little help. The product layout is for show, but not for comparison shiping, but the knowledge staff can help there if it is not a weekend day as they get thousands on top of thousands of customer buying things during the entire weekend. Which I guess is a good sign of customer service and sales for them....

In a 2 year gut rehab project that tried my patience, budget and relationship, I can say that Grand Appliance & TV is the ONLY vendor I can wholeheartedly recommend now that the whole process is fully over and done.

We bought our major appliances a few months into the project, and spent a ton of initial time researching online, and then spent countless hours at Abt, and even shopped at Direct Buy (we were members) but weren't overwhelmed with any of the options. And then a friend recommended Michael at Grand.

I can't tell you how nice it was to work with someone who KNOWS THEIR PRODUCTS, who can answer all of those little questions that are specific to your project, to interact with the same person every time you came back, and generally work with someone who is nice, personable, and actually remembers you and your situation when you return.

That alone is very worthwhile to me, but even better, we got better pricing than Abt or Direct Buy (when you added in delivery, etc). AND all of...

We recently purchased a new home and decided to replace all of the appliances - washer and dryer, microwave, stove, refrigerator and dishwasher.

After getting quotes from several retailers, we selected HH Gregg, primarily based on pricing, and their delivery and installation service.

We paid for delivery and installation, and on the much-anticipated day of arrival, the delivery team arrived, and did not have our stove on the truck, and told us it was on back order and would arrive in 10 days, had the incorrect dryer and then refused to install the appliances.

We called the service center and they sent out another team who arrived, with the correct dryer, and installed some of the appliances, and then claimed that they could not install the washer and dryer because the venting was incorrect.

We called the store again, and this time they sent out another crew, who at least explained that there was actually an issue with our plumbing, we also - by this time had noticed a dent in our new stainless...

About a month ago my husband and I decided to get a washer and dryer. We live in an apartment and hadn't needed one and had put it off for a while. We had a little extra money so we decided to start looking.
The first place we went was Rosa's. I know quite a number of people who have shopped and bought from Rosa's.
The salesman was a complete waste of time! He kept telling us what we wanted and what we needed. He would only show us what was the latest and best. We asked to see anything on sale and he pointed them out but said we wouldn't want those. Don't get us wrong, he was very friendly, but at Rosa's they're only out to get more money. Which I suppose most stores are, but some beat around the bush.
We found a set we liked. He explained their warranty. But, we said that we were still looking and that we would come back.
The next place we went was Sears. The salesman was a really great guy! He pointed out the fact that we didn't need a matching set. Which meant that we could get a better......

How hard could it be to get a new appliance installed? Call this company and you are bound to find out. I was put off for months. When the appliances finally arrived the first appointment was cancelled. The next time, they brought the wrong size and had to start over. The next time, the unit was warped. the next time a decal was missing and had to be re ordered - when it did arrive (weeks later) it was bent and the entire unit was re-ordered again.

I had to keep calling and had to ask to speak to the owner of the store - even then it took at least six months to finally get close to a final product. I'm still waiting for the trim on my appliances, but at this point, at least I can use them, they are working, and cooking is possible.

As much as I like buying from local merchants, I will not be shopping here again.
