I discovered Om on the Range last year. They have Bikram and Vinyssa Classes 7 days a week. The studio is simple, elegant and clean! Wood floors, brick walls and a mirror. All of the classes are held in the studio which is at least 105 degrees. You sweat, stretch and push yourself for an hour or hour and a half. The teachers are great. Supportive and knowledgeable, interesting and challenging. Classes are $15 for a drop-in but much less if you buy a series. No reservation necessary: check it out!

My husband and I signed up for a family membership with our teen daughter last year. There was a great deal advertised for a reduced rate for each additional family member. Unfortunately, there was fine print that wasn't listed on the advertisment and we ended up paying a ridiculous registration fee. When we went to the gym to work out, the machines were often being used with long wait times. Not convenient. We ended up cancelling the membership however there was more fine print. They give themselves a clause that allows them to continue charging you for an additional month of fees....

Two years ago when I had two kids under 2 I decided enough was enough. I wanted to look good, and my hair to look great, but I just didnt have the time to make it happen.

I wanted no more blow dryers, no more flat irons, and definitely NO MORE FRIZZ!!!!!!!! But, I wanted to look good. I know, it is stupid. But, when you are a new mom and feeling frumpy all the time, it makes you feel better!

So, I started the search for options to reduce hair frizz and get more of a permanenet straightening.

That is when I met Miwa. Miwa is a hair stylist and japanese hair straightening expert that works at Sho Studio in Chicago. Miwa is hard to get in with-- everyone loves her- but if you can get an appointment, GO!!!!!!!

This is my second day. A little tough, I miss my veggies and fruit. Not really extremely hungry, just have had a headache everyday. I only take 1/2 of appetite suppressant twice a day due to the headaches and light headedness. Also tired - No burst of energy yet. I am going to get another mixed shot this week.

Did anyone else have any of these symptoms? If so, how long did it last?

I am excited about the positive feedback I have heard and quick weight loss - but need to feel better (headaches).

i used to always drive past this place but never went in. because i was in no rush to get on the road and head home, i gave this place a second look and decided i'd go and get a pedi. i called in ahead to ask for their closing time (7pm) and asked if an appointment was necessary (optional, but walk-ins are certainly welcome).

yesterday evening when i went in, i was greeted by two nail techs and a barber. i sat and waited for a bit. they weren't too busy, but they were already tending to their regulars. as soon as a lady named lee was finishing up with her client, she got me set up at a station and prepared my foot soak. lee gave me a veeeryyyy relaxing foot massage. aaahhhhhh. when it was close to closing time, lee didn't rush to finish my pedicure. she was even nice enough to walk me to the door and told me that she'd stand watch and make sure i was alright as i walked through the back lot....

Today was my daughters 3rd birthday. I took the day off to spend with her. She had the best day ever!!!

We spent the whole morning together at school-- playing, having bday cake etc. We then headed out to our favorite lunch place-- Whollie Frijole for some down old Mexican.

And, then, we were off to Sweet & Sassy beauty salon for little girls in Lincoln Park. I have to admit, I didnt know anyone who had been to Sweet & Sassy before so I was a little worried. What is a little girl salon? Would my 3 year old like it or is it just for older girls? I was full of questions, but figured I would go anyway and check it out.

When my daughter and I walked into Sweet & Sassy, I instantly knew she was in HEAVEN. If your daughter has a girle gene at all, she will LOVE THIS PLACE. Little girls can get pampered for the day with manicures, pedicures, hair cuts, dress up clothes, etc. They sell all kinds of hair accessories, jewelry, and anything girlie that you can think of.

I became a client of Salon Khouri when my longterm stylist (and friend:-) became a member of their team.

The prices are going rate,and worth every penny. As a mom of three young children, I have enjoyed the calm and pleasing atmosphere of this salon. There is a very intimate feel to it.

I have to comment on my stylist,Orie, who is nothing short of amazing. I would follow her anywhere. She always knows exactly what to do to give me the best look possible. She is meticulous and takes time to give me the best serivce possible. Never been dissatisfied.

The guy crying about the no refunds on gift certificates is off base. The policy is right on the wall when you buy them, and FYI no spa is going to give refunds on gift certificates, so that is just silly! They are transferable, so anyone could use them, just regift it!

I have been to this spa many times, friendly people, nice atmoshpere, clean, great massages, and nail care. Rustic style decor inside, very gender neutral, not just a girly place at all. My boyfriend has been there for massages too. We both loved it....

This club uses a nasty accounting company called Paramount Acceptance. When my bank sent me a new debit card with a new experiation date, I didn't realize Riviera wasn't taking $20 from my account until a few months later when I received a collections notice from the company.

I was using the gym on a regular basis, and not once did anyone say anything to me for two months. When I tried to work out the situation, Paramount was so horribly rude that I hung up. It was a terrible experience with HORRIBLE customer service. I tried to cancel my membership to no avail.

This gym lost my business along with at least three people I convinced not to get a membership here. We went to Pensacourt and loved the people and the classes there.

I would avoid this gym unless they use a new accounting company.

Grange and its neighboring communities I feel like a proud God parent. I

have referred countless friends, not to mention my husband, our children and

my mother, when she comes to town. Ross brought an urban aesthetic to Salon

Hype and I feel transported to the City every time I walk through the

The Grandcentral Ave Fitness Center gym is very nice because it is well kept, and clean. It is however quite cramped with too many sweaty guys walking around beet red. The female workers are extremely unprofessional, and flirty to their co-workers as well as any man who walks through the door. They do a wonderful job at greeting the men even if they are with their girlfriends. I wouldn't recommend this gym to my enemy....

I really like the Curves on Bloomington's East Side. All of their staff are knowledgeable and helpful. I have found them to be very encouraging and they help you see and set both your short and long-term goals.

The facility itself is very clean and well maintained. It is spacious and has plenty of light, both natural and flourescent. The workout music is noticeable, but not overpowering.

The only thing I would change is they really need another bathroom, after all it is a ladies work out facility and they only have one bathroom. I also wish that they had enough room at their facility to provide childcare. I personally (and I know several other members have said the same thing) would love to have childcare facilities available at the facility.

I have worked here for 2 1/2 years. The girls here are great and the surroundings are wonderful. We are all good at what we do and there are no girls hired out of school. We love new clients and taking care of you. the owners are wonderful and take care of everyone who comes in very nicely. We have tvs so while you are getting done your kids can watch a movie....

I found this salon and spa very impressive. The decor is classic and the employees are friendly as well as professional. This is a very convinient salon to my home and they do pretty much everything. We placed my mother in law in Lynwood nurisng home when she was getting out of the hospital after suffering a stroke for rehabilation. She was uninsured and she had no medicaid or medicare at that time. I had two choices according the the hospital as to where she could go that would accept her with medicaid pending. I chose the one closest to home which was still 35 miles away in one direction. She was placed in the home and all went well for a short while when it was time for rehab they asked me If I was paying. It was outrageously priced and I could not afford it. They said they had a fund for the poor and would do some therapy with her but it wouldn't be like therapy if I was paying. The care seemed ok at first. Little things bothered the family like them making doctors appointments for her ordered by the nursing home doctor and not telling us when the appointment was, then calling us at work wanting to know if we would be joining her 5 minutes before her appt. DJ Nails can not be beat if you are in need of a relaxing afternoon. The pedicure chairs are a treat for me-- just take a seat , close your eyes, and let the tech treat you to a pedicure and leg massage. The people are all so nice and seem glad that you are a customer- by that I mean they really want to get to know you.

I love the colors they have to select from and they are experts in nail design.

This review is specifically about my experience receiving a pedicure at the Fulton Avenue location of Mellow Me Out (there is a second location in Downtown Sacramento, which I have no experience with, so have no opinion of).

I had never had a professional pedicure before. I have seen many women get spa pedicures at local nail salons, and so when I received a gift certificate for Mellow Me Out I decided that I wanted that experience, and had high hopes since it would be at a spa rather than a nail salon. I chose to receive the Hot Stone Spa Pedicure.

While the actual location of Mellow Me Out is less than desirable (it's in a little mini-mall type shopping center), I held no preconceived notions about what awaited me. I arrived right on time and was greeted at the front desk of a very small and cramped lobby by a nice man who was wearing a pentagram pendant (!) which was slightly disturbing. I joined Bally's Total Fitness in my Freshman year of college with my 2 roommates, and let me tell you--it has been the worst experience of my life. The gym was unclean, the locker room was unkept, the personal trainer got tired before I did!!!! They did not let me use the aerobic room on free time like they told me when I was signing up--they said I could use the room, but not the lights or the AC or the Equipment. HOW DISTASTEFUL!!!

Then, I moved and I'm not near Bally's anymore, and they won't let me cancel. So, I'm stuck paying $75 a month for me and my 2 roommates because Bally's is dishonest and rude and terrible. I hate them. I'd rather eat nails than go to a Ballys. There are THOUSANDS of complaints on the internet about Bally's (consumerreports.com has hundreds alone) and they have had more lawsuits filed against them than any other fitness corporation in the world.

I urge you, if you think about joining Bally's, DONT. It will be the worst decision you've ever made.........

I normally go to a private salon. She was booked and I found myself in a fix! I had a job interview and needed my hair done ASAP. I tried several other private salons and could not get in. I had never gone to a chain before, but thought what the heck.. Whatever they do will have to look better than what I have now. So I jumped into the car and off to Anderson I went. I saw the Great Clips sign and took a deep breath and went in.....

The place was upbeat, clean and cheery with several people waiting. I relaxed a little bit. They signed me in at the front, and said it would be 30 minutes. I said OK I'll go get lunch and will be back within 30. They suggested the sandwich shop two doors down. It worked out great! I was back in less than 30 and walked in and sat down. Two minutes later they called me to come on back. The stylist was great! She made a couple of adjustments to my current style and I was done in 20 minutes. I have had rave reviews about the cut. I haven't been back...
