This studio has been recommended to me several times by a co-worker. The pictures she has had done are awesome. I decided I would give it a shot for a family photo that is a Christmas gift for my parents. The photographer was amazing and quick. She gave me more than enough great photos from which to chose from. The group was 12 (including 2 smaller children) and you can imagine how difficult it would be to get everyone either smiling or with eyes open. Shay managed to do just that. We also had holiday shots taken of the 2 kids and the turned out darling. There are no sitting fees and the package they offer is $9.94 for 40 pictures of varying sizes. Of course, I got that and then some. I spent WAY more than I intended to, but it was because the photos were so good. I highly recommend this place for any picture taking adventure and if you can request Shay, please do, she's wonderful to work with.
...

I am such a movie buff and love watching movies. And when I was in texas I was introduced to Movie Gallery so when I moved here I has seen there was a movie gallery so I decided to go inside and check it out. It was very clean and the sales associates for the most part are very friendly. The manager was pregnant when I first started going and I started to talk with her alot because i was pregnant as well, and when I had my daughter she waived my late fee since I was unable to bring the movie back on time. They always have a wide variety of movies and a lot of the old ones that I like to watch when I get the chance to slow down long enough. They also have a wide variety of games even though i dont have a game consul anymore its still nice to know if and when I get one I can have choice of many different kinds of games. Over all I would have to say that this movie gallery is an excellent place to rent from.
...

Since they were bought out by Cedar Point there have been and will continue to be improvements. If you're looking for a little thrill and a waterpark on hot summer day Michigan's Adventure is the place to be! I think most people do go here for the waterpark because it is fun and refreshing. They have several wave pools, a lazy river, the Funnel of Fear, and other water slide adventures. I live less than an hour from the park so it really is worth the drive and the price - 2 parks for the price of 1! Like other people have said it is smart to pack a lunch and snacks. You are allowed to go to your car whenever so that's a bonus! The best roller coaster is Shivering Timbers, a wooden one, and lines are not long for this one or any of the other rides. The waterpark can tend to be a little busier so it's best to get there early and do that part first if it suits your party. Plan on getting a locker too, but you do get part of your money back when you return the key so it's...
...

This place is awesome I live in ny and am about 45 mins away from albany. I go back to the museum at least 1 or 2 times a year. It just gets better and better every time I go. There is so much to learn from and so much to see you can deff make a day out of it thats for sure. Not to mention you dont have to pay anything to go there which is always nice. The selection and information they have you cannot beat they are always trying to add more to make it better too. The 911 exhibit is wonderful there is so much detail and so much to see you could spend just all day in there. It makes you feel like your apart of what your looking at which I love. They have learning sessions, story time, and so many eduacted staff its great! I would recommend anyone who is visiting upstate ny to deff take a trip up there. The albany area is great in itself and has so much to offer after your done looking you can walk right outside and find whatever it is your looking for to do next!
...

I absolutely love the Riverview Theater in South Minneapolis. I live in St Paul now, the Capital City, but I lived in South Minneapolis for 10 years and never discovered the Riverview Theater. My partner took me there a month or so ago to see "Up." Most recently we went there to see Matt Damon in "The Informant." The Riverview doesn't get the movies that have just been released, but rather the ones that have been out for a few months, but I can certainly wait that long to see them in a Theater that I enjoy going to. There is rarely a line for movies, and the cost is only $2-3.00 per person. The seats are very comfortable; they rock and recline, and there are arm rests that you can pull down to use, or leave up and out of the way.. The popcorn is only three bucks for a bucket, and they use real butter. Forget the calories and live a little! I can't say enough about this Theater. Give it a try. I think you'll like it too!
...

Where else can you rent newer released movies for $1 for 5 nights? FAMILY VIDEO has a great selection, tons of titles, free movies, new releases, candy, popcorn and everything else you might need for family movie night.

Your first 30 days of rentals are half priced. Once that 30 day period is over, you can then pay either $9.99 a month or $14.99 a month (with game rental option) and then you can enjoy half-price rentals for another 30 days. Once you set foot in Family Video you can weigh out whether this is the right option for you. Even if you DO NOT select that option, it's much more affordable to rent here than online or anywhere else.

As usual the brochure over promised the attraction but most do not over promise to this extent. Attended with three other adults and all four of us rated this the worst dinner show experience we had ever attended. Once you factor in the cost and the fact they charge extra for better seating and meal upgrades this becomes an experience to avoid. The food was third rate, at best. This is the first time I have been served scallops the size of pencil erasers. We could not see a significant portion of the show from our seats. We left well before the show ended.
...

I went to the Improv Comedy Club at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood, FL recently to see one of my favorite comedian's show, Susie Essman.

The parking was free (we self-parked) and we were one of the first few people to show up for the show and they sat us towards the middle in the second tier of the theater.

This was my first time at this Improv as I usually go to the one in Coconut Grove in Miami. My first impression of the place inside was that it was the biggest comedy club I've ever seen and very nice.

The menu had a pretty good selection of drinks as well as a full bar, appetizers, burgers, and entrees. We ordered a couple of their signature drinks and a couple of appetizers before the show began. These signature drinks on the menu do not show the price and to our surprise when the bill arrived, they were pretty expensive (about $10) and we ordered two rounds throughout the course of the show because the Improv has a two drink minimum policy. The food was alright,...
...

Hey! There is something free in Las Vegas! It's The Fremont Street Experience in the downtown area. Live famous bands- mardi gras beads and an awesome light show. When the sun goes down- the lights come on and the bands start. I've seen Mitch Ryder to Asleep at the Wheel to Sugarland all for free. Adults can get free Mardi Gras beads from ladies dressed-up in traditional-type Mardi Gras costumes and people of all ages can see a light show that will amaze all. The bands are mostly from May to Halloween except for the BIG party on New Years Eve. Make sure you look this attraction up online before you plan your trip to Las Vegas to see what bands are playing. IT IS A MUST SEE!
...

I have been to Discovery World once with my wife and 2 girls. They have been there on many occasions and even took our newborn boy there recently. My wife bought a year pass for our home school.

The time I went was both fruitful and disappointing at the same time. I loved the aquarium and so did the rest of the family. We loved going through the tunnel to see the fish swimming all around us. This was a kid favorite. We also liked the 3-D hive interactive movie experience. It was cool! The final thing we enjoyed was the huge house boat. The kids told me all about it and when I saw it I was amazed at the size but disappointed that it was closed at the time for construction. I still liked seeing the outside and hearing my girls tell me all about it.

The big disappointments were the movie that supported evolution ( I was not surprised, though, seeing how this world seems bent on indoctrinating everyone that evolution is truth and not just another theory that should be taught alongside other...
...

I just wanted to say a few things on the Alamo Draft House in Austin texas. Will I went once when i was little with my aunt and I love it and now as an adult I go with my husband. we both live in Austin tx, And i took him for his first time, and he just fell in love with that place. It is a little pricey but well worth it. If we could go every weekend we would. But we go when we have the extra cash. Anyways the Alamo Draft house has a full menu and a full bar!! A very good selection of beers and a great selection of snacks as well. They show great old movies as well as new ones. The seats are very comfortable. The only thing that i hate is that when a movie first comes out that they are gonna show, You have to get there early to get them tickets. But we love it!
...

Disneyland is my absolute favorite place in the world, I don't care how old I am! I try to get a seasonal pass every year, but it is pretty expensive. Sometimes, if I am at the park and family and friends who don't have passes and don't want to spend the money to get in want to go out I will meet them in Downtown Disney. It's perfect! There are a lot of fun shops to visit and plenty of great resturaunts to eat at. They have Rainforest Cafe which is probably my favorite eatery there. They also have ice cream shops, jewelry stores, clothing stores, and a Build a Bear. Also, if you go at night you get to see the fire work show! It comes on around eight or nine. I just recently moved away from the Anaheim area and this is definitely what I miss the most! I can not wait to go visit there again with my friends and family! We all have fun, Its ideal for a date, a family outing, or for you when you want to go out and spend a nice day alone!
...

tim2 says "a great place to see a band any night of the week" about Metro | Chicago

I have been to the Metro ( www.metrochicago.com ) more times than I can count and I have never had a bad experience. The relatively small size of the venue combined with the quality of talent that the Metro brings in results in an amazing experience. You can go to the Metro literally any night of the week and have a good time while discovering new music. The Metro consistently brings in local and emerging artists and gives you the ability to see a band before they really make it and are a national success.

The other thing that I really like about the Metro is the location. Located at 3730 N. Clark St. in Chicago, it is very easy to get to via public transportation (bus and/or L) or cab. There are some parking options close by, but with the red line addison stop just a few minutes away from the venue, it is difficult to pass up that option.

If you are a fan of music, I would check out their show listings to find new music.

If you are a fan of music and live in Chicago, I would...
...

annie123 says "For parents with kids this place is the talk of the town!" about "Make-A-Messterpiece" - Glenview, IL

I happen to live very near to this kid-focussed creative studio. It's conveniently located in The Glen Town Center. Whenever I walk out my front door and see the "whimsical" studio-storefront, I smile. When I step inside, my smile broadens. When I watch the kids - l'il ones to pre-teens - I share in their awe at the scope and near magic of the facilities!

The heart of "Make-A-Messterpiece" is in its name... It's a place where kids can go to participate in hands-on activities, make a mess and learn to clean up after themselves.

For the kids, there's Kid's Creative Kitchen, Bubbleology, DrumRoll, Little Sprouts, and Experimentation. For the parents, there's a relaxing cafe area called Club M.

It can get a little pricey depending on what activities you want your child to do. "Admission" is $10 (kids under 2 are free) for the basics. The other activities are $5 each.

They also do birthday parties and other events. All I can say is they must be doing something right; the place is always...
...

jcoandwsf says "Adults love Discovery World; preschoolers, not so much." about Discovery World at Pier Wisconsin - Milwaukee, WI

My son and I don't get to visit my parents very often, so when we do visit, they like to do fun stuff. One day we went to this Discovery World on the recommendation of my sister, who had gone there several times with her boyfriend. That should have been our first clue that maybe a 3 year old wouldn't enjoy it too much.

The first room we went into was like a hands-on museum, with a machine that created a plaque, a model of the local baseball stadium, and a model of the art building adjacent to the Discovery World. My 3 year old flew through it so fast! He wasn't very interested in pushing a button to see the roof of the stadium slowly open and close.

So we travelled through to another section of the floor. There were a lot of gears, belts, and automated puppets. I thought it was facinating, but again in a matter of minutes, my little boy had looked at everything and was ready to move on.

Upstairs we did not fare much better. A huge room held a bunch of guitars and information on Les Paul....
...

redjen says "the best Christmas Light Tours in The Oklahoma City Metro and Su" about Christmas Light Tours in The Oklahoma City Metro and Surrounding Areas 2009

Oklahoma City and surrounding areas have some of the best Christmas light
shows I have seen. The kids and I always make sure to make our rounds to see
them all, regardless of how far we have to travel. We try every year to make sure
to go and see all the Christmas light displays, even in all the neighborhoods.
Some of the best locations we have went to have been listed below and these
locations do not even put a dent in all the locations available to go see.

Midwest City has a great holiday lights spectular to see. We went out
there last year and seen the Christmas light displays and they have alot to
see. They have about seventy to eighty displays and also a Christmas tree that
is about one-hundred feet high, lit up and so beautiful. The Holiday Lights run
through December 30th and have different times for viewings.

Oklahoma City has a great Botanical Gardens downtown by the Myriad. It is
absolutely great any time of the year but at Christmas time, the City really
does outdo itself to light...
...
