JD01 says "Make a reservation before you get there" about Discount Tire - Naperville, IL

Discount Tires (DT) has a service where if you buy your tires from them the rotation of those tires is free (until the tires last, of course). I am sure the reason they do that is that they want to sell customers another set of tires and based on my experience some stores/sales people push that pretty hard. — My frustration was that when I went to a DT store there was always a long wait. I also got the feeling that since they were not going to make money off me (I was there for a free tire rotation) I got put at the back of the line. At one store I went to I also felt as if the sales/service person was doing me a favor for changing my tires. — I seem to have found a solution. A couple of months ago, I made a reservation online before I went. (DT has a nice, easy to follow website.) When I got to the store, since I had a reservation I got priority in the service - they took my car in right away and I was done in 15 to 20 minutes. Even more, the...

Searssucks says "Do you really call it Service Protection?" about Sears Repair Complaint - Bowie, SC

I have a service protection plan and have had it for many years. Now Sears has decided that since I live 30 miles out of Dallas, they will only come to my location on Mondays. I paid the FULL price for my protection and find this unacceptable. No mention ever was made that full price from me meant half service from Sears. Now I will be without television, a 50 inch DLP Samsung for almost a month. I paid 2700.00 for this set and have had many, many repairs on it. Sears seems to just blow it off as a cost cutting issue, yet any town in the metroplex of the Dallas/Fort Worth area is 30 miles from the service department. Every time I call about this, the service representative hangs up on me or the "friendly" automated system cannot get me to a "live" person. I have been a loyal and consistant shopper of Sears for over 35 years. Look up my spending habits. I spend alot of money to receive the best Sears has to offer. — I am not satisfied with the quality of the repair...

This place made me so mad. This is the dealer that financed our cars we bought from Tri Star. While my husband was changing his battery (read the review from Tri Star) I had to run over to Westphal with the baby to sign the financing papers. A lady approached me and asked if she could help me. I told her I was looking for Dan. She asked my name and I gave it to her first and last. She came out of Dan's office and asked me if he was expecting me. When I said, yes, that I was there to sign some financing papers, she said that he was on a call and would be with me in a minute. Then his name came over the speaker for another call and she laughed and said, "okay maybe a few minutes". So there I stood in the middle of the showroom waiting for Dan, holding my 12-month baby. The showroom was warm and I was sweating from holding this wiggly little baby and rocking back to transfer the weight so my back doesn't give out. Keep in mind there were 4 guys in the showroom that would look over...

I took my Subaru in for repairs a couple of months ago. I am single mother of an 19month old baby. I do not make a lot of money and I am doing everything on my own. I was having trouble getting my car to pass smog and a friend of mine recommended that I take my car into his mechanics, so I did just that. I was told that I had a great motor and nothing was wrong with the vehicle. That the only thing that needed to be done was to have an oil change and a tune up and to replace the spark plugs all together and it would pass smog. So, I paid the money and went to pick it up later that day and was told that they guaranteed that it would pass smog. I took it later that same day to have the smog done on it and it failed big time. So, of course I took it back. Then I was told that it was an electrical problem and I paid another $600.00 for the repairs and was guaranteed again that it would pass this time. So, it failed...

Courtney11 says "Good services offered if you are under warranty! " about Fletcher Jones Volkswagen - Chicago, IL

After the battery in my Volkswagen died it was somewhat of a process to figure out exactly why it had failed. I eventually figured out that it may have been a problem with my trunk, which wouldn't shut (causing the light to remain on and drain the power). I brought it into the Fletcher Jones Volkswagen and mentioned that it may or may not be the trunk that is causing the problem. They told me it would cost me $200 to diagnose the problem. This amount didn't include any servicing to my car and to fix the problem it probably would have been about $300+. Since this seemed to be a huge rip off to me I told them not to do anything to the car and took it to a small auto repair shop. They fixed my trunk latch for $45 and tested the battery to be sure that it was in fact the trunk causing the problem! If you are not under warranty stay away from this dealership!...

When the time came to buy a used vehicle, I decided to go online and look through our insurance company, USAA. I found a great value in a 2007 Mitsubishi Outlander and was impressed with how quickly I was contacted. The sales rep, Spencer Williams, was a wonderful help and let me know he was available if I had any questions. He didn't bug me or hassle me. He quickly answered my calls and was not pushy in any way. The deal I got was fantastic, well below the market value. I brought the vehicle back in to be detailed and it was done well and in a timely manner. I highly recommend Don Jackson Mitsubishi.

I bought a 2008 KIA Spectra SX from Southwest KIA on 7/1/08 and I love this car. I live an hour and half east of Dallas so I called Southwest KIA the weekend before I bought my car to speak to a salesman and ask any questions I had without having to make the long drive. At this point I still wasn't sure that a KIA was what I wanted. I had it narrowed down to the KIA Spectra, Toyota Corolla, Chevy Cobalt, or Mazda 3. I commute three hours a day for work and I needed a car with really good gas mileage, but affordable enough that I didn't mind racking up the miles on it. I was leery of the KIA in the beginning of my search for a car because of all the negative information I had heard years ago when they first came out. After a lot of research I've learned that KIA has come a long way with the quality and dependability of their cars. After talking to Garry several times, I agreed to come test drive the car. He assured me that if I would just give...

After going to Jiffy Lube I was scared of feeling pressured to buy more services but that wasn't the case AT ALL.
