mlazer says "Great neighborhood, no longer catholic too!" about DePaul University

DePaul University used to be known as more of a religious school. Students are still required to take one religious course, however this course can be on any type of religion that the student is curious about. Also, the Pope denounced it's support for the university in recent years supposedly because the university was too supportive of all types of diversity. Students seemed pleased with this fact. DePaul, with two locations, Lincoln Park and downtown, is known for it's beautiful buildings. Lincoln Park is a rather fancy neighborhood, and students may find it difficult to find affordable housing here. Many students are actually commuter studetns, but the number of students commuting seems to have gone down over the years. DePaul also offers university apartments, as an alternative to dorm-style living for upperclassmen. These apartmetns are not your typical university apartments, they're rather nice and fit in well with the beautiful residential neighborhood.
...

readmyview82 says "At Ottawa University, the professors are well experienced!" about Ottawa University-Phoenix

At Ottawa University, students are not a number; classes are small. The number of students per class ranges anywhere between 1 and 30. Many professors know their students by name. For the most part, professors at Ottawa University have lots of experience behind them and share their work experience with students. Professors encourage team work by assigning group projects to students. Most professors require only 1 textbook.

For the Masters of Arts programs, students meet once a week and classes are three hours long (they are held from 6:30pm to 9:30pm). Currently, classes are 11 weeks long. However, in 2010 classes will be 8 weeks long, students will meet once a week for 4 hours.

The academic advisors are great; they do more than tell students what classes to take. They keep track of ones progress throughout the program. The advisors are aware of state requirements for counseling in Arizona.

Unfortunately, because Ottawa University is a private University, tuition...
...

mathewj2006 says "Good school, but outdated." about Fountainhead College of Technology

Fountainhead College of Technology is located north of downtown Knoxville. This is a small student body school focused on education of very technical fields. On average you are looking at class sizes of 18 to 25 students per instructor. They offer several majors but are basically confined to Information Technology, Electronics Technology, Medical Coding, or Radiation Protection. The problem I have with this school is their inability to stay current. We are using Windows XP not Windows 7, we are using Windows Server 03 not Windows Server 08, and you can forget about a Linux Distribution outside of their Linux Course. Their IT Manager is used to windows XP and refuses to learn anything else, so don't expect him to support any other OS. Their instructors on the other hand are usually all for upgrading to newer software, what IT guy wouldn’t be, but can't get the support or backing of the upper staff. But their reputation is hard to beat. Who can argue with 6 NSA certifications upon graduation?...
...

The staff seems so unprofessional, I am afraid to take my kids their unless their is an out of town Doctor on call, which used to be around 2am. They do not use proper procedures in finding what is wrong. They think, run an expensive test, say I can't find nothing and send you home. You know your own body and you know when something is wrong. The wait in the waiting room is rediculous. My husband went to the hospital for testing. He waited 2 hours, went to the testing room and the nurse walked out and stayed gone about 20 minutes, then come back and said; I'm sorry, we don't have time to do your test today. He had been having severe, intense chest pains(that he never had before), feeling like he was gone to pass out form the pain (that he never had happen before) elevated blood pressure (that he never had before) and a recent cholesterol test that revealed very high cholesterol (that he never had before).

You can still see remnants of the farm here. The Inn at Brookeville Farms is in a part of Maryland close to the suburbs but still feels rustic. The restaurant is a former farm house that has been added to, It lies on the east side of Georgia Ave., 1.5 miles north of Rt. 108 and downtown Olney.Though the area is getting more and more built up, you still feel in the country here. The inn is, as its name suggests, a one-time farm residence. The upstairs restroom still contains the bathtub. You may be seated in one of many upstairs or downstairs rooms.

The place caters to large gatherings and gatherings and even touts its ability to host wedding receptions and private parties. The inn lies on an estate with plenty of grounds around it and the silo is there. It was once owned by the Brooke family, a one-time prominent local clan that the town was named after.

The menu is small but changed regularly and everything you'll find on it is high class. So you never know what you'll find. We enjoyed...
...

I had heard a lot of good things about this new restaurant chain that had come to town. I have heard from friends and co-workers that it was affordable, fast and friendly. The first time I went this was true the staff and management were polite, courteous, and helpful. The food wasn't too bad, though far from even the supposed tex-mex they claim to be. I have lived in Texas and Moe's is in no way, shape, or form tex-mex!
Anyway, as the experience was not too bad and only cost around $10-12 per person I decided that for a work even I would have it catered by Moe's. All my co-workers liked it so I figured why not. We ordered the Fajita Bar with Chicken and Steak, Added the Queso as that is their most addictive item. We requested it to be delivered at 11:00am, they advised me that they were usually a few minutes early to ensure setup in time for lunch. I advised them that, that was fine. Delivery day rolls around, obviously my co-workers were excited, after all free food is never a bad thing.......

I really love UIndy. The school has such a small student body that it feels very homey! Class sizes are very small so students have the opportunity to become good friends with their professors. The campus is also very beautiful and compact so it is easy to move about, especially in the winter! The campus is expanding rapidly to fit the growing needs of its students. The student center was remolded recently and has even more activities and meeting areas for students. It now has six different dining areas that provide students with a variety of options. The student center also has different games and many televisions for students to enjoy between classes. Uindy has a very friendly and devoted staff that are willing to help students with any needs. Campus is ten minutes from the heart of downtown Indianapolis. There are millions of things to do and many classes involve the community and downtown businesses.
...

I have been going to Allan Hancock College for a couple of years now, they offer a variety of classes and degrees to choose from. They offer online classes, video & online together, and on campus classes to choose from, which makes taking classes easy to coincide with your schedule. They friendly staff from the admissions office to the teachers. I get financial aid and they were very helpful in getting the information that was needed to get the aid for me to go back to school. I am an injured worker and needed a new degree to see if I can find work in another field, they have a learning assistance program that is wonderful, which the teachers will accomodate you if you need adjustments done to make you comfortable and able to get your goats accomplished. Alan Hancock College is a nice place to start and if you have trouble or need help there is always someone there to answer your questions.
...

This local edition of a national franchise lies in the food court at White Flint Mall, which used to be upscale but has seen better days. Even the food court is half vacant while it used to be bustling with a variety of ethnic restaurants.

Still, the Smoothie King offers a variety of thick, healthy smoothies, probably the healthiest dessert you can find. Or a large one can serve as a meal or a snack. Take you pick of sizes and flavors and if you want a base with sorbet, ice cream, fruit, or whatnot. For an additional fee, you can get add-ons for vitamins, energy, immunity, etc. But you're bound to find something for your taste.

The chain also offers a punch card allowing you a free smoothie after you buy 12. But you have to ask for it and remember to get it punched. The place also will offer various specials, such as a free smoothie if you buy a $25 gift card for the holidays.

This family-owned restaurant calls itself the only place in Maryland serving authentic Argentinean food. Maybe so, but our waitress was from El Salvador. The food is very affordable and authentic. You can start with an empanada filled with any meat or vegetable you want, or a variety of other South American appetizers.

In addition to the beef the Argentina is famous for, the menu features plenty of breaded entrees: fish, chicken or steak. You get you choice of sides, ranging from sweet potato fries to an interesting potato salad. I don't even eat potato salad but I make an exception for this one.

We tried the stuffed chicken entree. To my surprise, it was cold -- supposed to be that way. White meat chicken filled with egg, potato and vegetable. Still, it was quite edible. You can ask for a variety of South American sodas

I have tried a few different colleges to get my degree. I have to say this school is the best so far. Athens tech does a really good job with most everything. They took care of all of my financial aid needs for me with out a single problem. My advisor is a really nice lady. ( I am taking cosmotology ) The only thing that was a little crazy was registration. I was so out of wack I didn't know what to do! ( lol ) However this was the first time I registered or even went to this school. So I don't doubt that most of the confusion was more than likely in my own head being in a new school atmosphere and all. After I found my way around though it all wewnt very smoothly. Everyone there is so polite and well mannered. I'm glad to have chosen such a nice place to go to school. Also, they offer a very wide variety of classes. I was able to even get one of my classes on saturday morning. To me that's pretty cool.
...

I love Penn State for so many reasons. I started as a freshman there in 2006 and now I am halfway through my senior year and I am extremely sad and disappointed that I have to graduate and leave this place. Penn State is by far the best party school in the Northeast United States. In 2009 it was rated the number one party school in the country by Princeton Review. Penn State has an excellent football team with lots of tradition and the best College football coach in the country, Joe Paterno. Penn State is about more than partying and football though. They are also a very good academic college and last I checked the business school which I am a student at was ranked 16th in the country! They are also the best in the country for the fast growing field of supply chain which was actually created by Penn State. I would strongly recommend any young high school students trying to decide where to go to college to take a serious look at Penn State. You can't go wrong here.
...

I was forced to conform to the Liberal views of the professors to get by with decent grades. It was disheartening that students are forced to be closed-minded to new things and only go with what the professors and school officals think. The education I got was based on the oppinions of those teaching me, not what was in the books or what I was supposed to be learning. I was very disappointed with my classroom time and the educational experience that I paid so much for....

cathyorsbun says "Great steaks and unique, enjoyable atmosphere." about Big Jakes - Van Buren, AR

My husband and I first discovered this steakhouse on whim when we just wanted to try something different. We were pleasantly surprised. First by the atmosphere, the by the quality of the food itself. Just recently we learned that the restaurant actually has its own meat plant and they cut their own steaks every day. It's kinda like going to the butcher and having him cook it for you, too! I guess that's why its meat seems considerably better than what we usually have at some of the more familiar steakhouses. Oh, the service was great, too. Laid back, but efficient and friendly. We go at least a couple times a month.
...

LMH0403 says "USC was a great school for nursing!" about University of South Carolina-Columbia

The University of South Carolina was a great school for me. I just graduated in May 2009 with a nursing degree. My nursing program was great and really prepared my for my NCLEX exam which I took in June. The best part about the nursing program was the ability to have 4 different hospitals in which to do my clinicals. My professors were great and were really caring. Every hospital provided my with excellent experiences as well.

The best part about USC was the athletic programs. No matter what sport you enjoy watching, USC has them all. I loved going to the football games. The student section is amazing to be a part of. Basketball and baseball games are also great! The new baseball stadium is really something to see!

If you want to go to a school to receive a good education but also to enjoy the athletic programs they offer, then the University of South Carolina is the place for you to go!
...
