chelbelle1986 says "If your looking for a pediatrician, I recomen Dr. Abueg." about Dr. Abueg - Lordes Pediatric - Binghamton, NY

When your having a new baby finding the right pediatrician can be hard. Dr. Abueg was recommended to me by a family member. Her daughters, 3 and 13, both see him and she gave him rave review so he was the doctor we chose.

Dr Abueg was on call in the hospital when my daughter was born. She had a few minor problems due to the fact that I had very low amniotic fluid by the time she was born. As a first time parent I was a mess but he was very thorough in ruling out any major problems and within a day my daughter was well and ready to go home.

Now we see Dr. Abueg at his office. My daughter loves him as he spends a lot of time talking to her and entertaining her while he does his exams. It is very obvious that the man loves children and working with them. He never rushes through the appointment and spends lots of time answering any questions we have. The nurse staff is also very friendly and they also spend a lot of time answering any questions. They are very good about...
...

katesmypoints says "FDU is the most ghetto, unhappy place in the universe" about Fairleigh Dickinson University-Metropolitan Campus

I attended FDU from 2002 through 2005 and it was the exact opposite of everything I had ever wanted or envisioned from my college experience. Not many of FDU's professors have a mastery of the English language and those who have, are not very bright. I cannot recall a single undergraduate professor I studied under whose work had been published, with the exception of one English professor who was exceptional - Dr. Lois Gordon. As a business major, she made me want to switch to English to study literature. (Thankfully the part of my brain that does math quickly concluded that an English degree and $.25 would buy me a pack of gum).

Aside from the lacking professional staff, the student body at the Metropolitan campus seemed to be comprised mainly of Harlem high school rejects. There was an on-campus stabbing at a school-sponsored "Bring ya Clique" event where off-campus youth could come and 'party' with current students. Apparently the pat-downs were not thorough enough and violence......

When I first began attending Texas A&M University in the Fall of 2000, I knew I had made an amazing decision to start off my life as an adult. I felt embraced by the students, professors & culture and was amazed at the sense of community I felt after just a short time. With the traditions & conservative values that this University and it's students represent I felt as if I were part of a bigger family that cared for me as much as I cared for it. From football games to midnight yell and too many fun events to list, an Aggie is guaranteed the opportunity to experience things that can not be explained but can only be experienced and felt. To anyone who is considering A&M, I encourage you to visit the university, not as an outsider, but as if you are one of us and share in the common bond that we all have, a love for our country, our state and our university. From the outside looking in it is impossible to understand and from the inside looking out it is impossible to explain...you...
...

Wendy's is my family's favorite fast food resturaunt. We are always on the go and this place has great food, is always fast and have great prices. My kids love the chicken nuggets, fries and double stacks w/out the onions. I always buy a #6 Spicy Chicken Sandwich Combo and my husband enjoy the #2 Burger Combo. I never get anything but the chicken sandwich because I am completely obssessed with its flavor. My husband tends to get other things like the Baconator or Junior Bacon Cheeseburger but his favorite is the #2. We like to drive through sometimes and just get the frostys. We all love these. Chocolate is our favorite but my son enjoys the vanilla. Wendy's seems to always be open when we want something to eat and the food is always fabulous. The staff at the Mount Airy NC Wendy's is always very pleasant and ready to help you in any way that they can. This resturaunt is very clean and has a great new parking area. You Totally Need To Go Today!

Wow. Where do I begin!? I have loved this school since before I've even stepped on campus. Mount Mary College is a four year accreddited woman's college. Yes, a WOMAN'S college! (Sorry boys!) To begin, yes this is a private catholic school. This school is pricey compared to public schools ranging at about 20,000 tuition per year. The national average for private universities is around 30,000. So in perspective they are a cheaper option when it comes to private education. Mount Mary is located in Milwaukee, WI which is a very hip and urban city. The campus itself lies further off the hectic downtown area in wauwautosa county. Even though it is far from city action it is only 10-20 minutes away from downtown. Being far from the action can be a real plus. It is in a very calm environment which is great for serious students.

The campus is very beautiful with over 80 acres of land so there are great views from every window. Having said that, the...
...

I recieved my degree in Special Education from Adelphi University. In the four years I spent living on campus I couldnt have asked for a better start in my adult life. The dorms are large and common rooms inviting! The sense of community is shared by all who dorm and commute there. The classes I took were not only fun but informative, professors were always there to lend a helping hand. I reccomend Adelphi to everyone and anyone, they have supports for learning disabled students, they have a great sports program to watch and you'll make life long friends. Oh and the food in the Student Activities Center is to die for! They have a panini station, sushi station, philly station, asian cuisine bar, and smoothie bar! That and the Pizza place and deli on campus can't be beat!! On weekends there is always something to do, be it a barbeque, frisbee tournament, or lawn party theres always something for everyone. If your shy you can always just watch, but I didn't stay that long on the sidelines...
...

I have been attending Liberty University online since August of this year. I am working on a double major in Accounting and Education. Liberty's online classes are great because I am able to complete my education on my own schedule. I have four kids at home and work part time, my online classes are a perfect way to finish my education and take as little time away from my family as possible. Most of my classes consist of online video lectures, online quizzes, textbook readings, and some classroom interaction by posting to class forums. There are some Bible/Christian courses required for all students, if you are a conservative Christian you will probably really enjoy these classes. As a more liberal Christian myself, I did not personally agree with all the aspects of the Bible classes but the quality of the other courses and the convenience of an online education made it well worth listening to a few lectures I didn't agree with. Liberty is an acredited school and accepts federal financial...
...

njangel says "There are much better places for Italian food" about Bensi Italian Ristorante - Hamilton, NJ

My foodie friends and I are always on the lookout for new places to try. A new place opened up at the Shoppes of Hamilton on Route 130, called Bensi Italian Ristorante, so upon a recommendation from someone that worked there, we decided to check it out. It is a local chain Italian restaurant found only in the local tri-state area.

The decor is more Asian-inspried, something you might find at Kenji Fusion or PF Chang than you would in an italian restaurant. It was all dark heavy colors with dark wood. There are two doors to enter - one leads to the restaurant and the other to a little take out counter.

We were seated in a booth in the bar area, we were not given a choice, but the place was relatively empty for 8 p.m. on a Thursday night, so I guess they were trying to conserve where messes might be made.

Our server was the bartender, a very nice young man who poured very large, but slightly weak drinks (I had a vodka tonic because it had been a rough day, and another foodie had a gin and...
...

I don't know if there is enough space to say everything I need to say about Patti's. I have tried many other places and I've never experienced anything like Patti's.

Patti's 1880's Settlement is located in Grand Rivers, Kentucky. It is about 25 miles southeast of Paducah, KY, on I-24. The drive is about 2 1/2 hours from my home in southern Illinois, but we make the trip at least twice a year, or sometimes more if we have something special to celebrate.

Nestled in a nook across from the Kentucky Lake Harbor, Patti's is surrounded by beautiful landscape, gardens, and water features. While you are waiting for your table, you can shop the specialty gift shops that line the garden like a tiny village. If you stop by earlier in the day, you can enjoy the rock-climbing wall, remote control boats, games in the arcade, or play a round of minature golf. Children can play on the outdoor play or pets some animals.

I generally frequent Kinkaid's for their late night happy hour in downtown St Paul. They offer half price on most appetizers and have drink specials which occasionally change but are usually something like 4 dollar taps, house wines, and a few speciality cocktails. The teriyaki tenderloin is excellent; always tender and perfectly done. Be aware that after a Wild game or other event at the Xcel center, seating can be pretty tight in the bar and the servers start to get a little harried, but it's totally worth it.
...

I love this restaurant! While the price is high (the most I've ever spent for a meal) it is well worth it for a special occasion. We went for our anniversary and got extra special treatment like a photo, rose, and private dining booth.

If you decided to do one of the meals be sure to go hungry! You are limited on the amount of meat that is included but they will bring the all bread and veggies you need to use up your cheese and they'll bring you more fruit and dessert for your chocolate. We always leave stuffed!

I'm always looking for a deal and The Entertainment Book has 10% off coupons which help. The Melting Pot also has Club Fondue which gives you a free chocolate fondue just for signing up. We've also done half price fondue for happy hour or reverse happy hour making it only $3.75 per person for each pot you choose (this is only available in the Lounge area).
...

If you have a good teacher then you should not have a problem, this is a good school. But if i were you i would not get sick and go into the hospital, I came down with the flu and a very bad vitamin deficiency and was admitted into the hospital for 4 days, then after was on bed rest for a few days. I contacted the teacher as soon as i got home and explained my situation and asked for a extend on the work due, willing to send the hospital report. No response at all, then he decided not to mark anything that was due until 2 weeks later. And the best part as the final was coming up and in the directions of what was due for the week was to submit the powerpoint, and then the instructor was supposed to assign each student with another students work to critique. I posted my work in my form, i did not receive any other students work. I am wondering if he is going to find a way to take points off for that also.

I love everything about Ted's Montana Grill. Bison meat is rich in iron and protein, yet still lean, and Ted's chefs know just how to cook it. The bison pot roast is the best pot roast I've ever eaten, so tender it falls to pieces with a fork and is served in a rich, meaty broth. The burgers are juicy and tasty. The grilled salmon is cooked to perfection, with a hint of smokiness. The side dishes are awesome as well. And at lunch, you can get a full meal for only $8. What a bargain! Dinner prices are reasonable as well.

What I appreciate even more is Ted's commitment to preserve the environment. The bison are raised in an environmentally friendly way, and even though Ted's serves bison meat, the bison population in the US is no longer threatened by extinction. The restaurants take care to recycle cooking oil and garbage, and reduce landfill waste--even the straws are made of re-cyclable paper!
...

I decided to attend the University of Phoenix since it was the only school that would accept my credits from Heald College in Honolulu, Hawaii. The "Acacademic Advisor" seemed more like a passive aggressive Army recruiter. He tried to toss all these facts like, "Shaq got a degree from us", like that was supposed to get me to sign up right away. Anyhow, at first I thought he was genuine in trying to help me pursue my college education but soon found out I was being suckered into enrolling. Once I enrolled, all of his promises to keep in contact and answer any of my questions soon turned into unanswered phone calls and the run-around. I don't agree with how the school grades their students. Everything is based off of team projects pretty much, which means if you're like me who works hard and some what of an over acheiver, you will find yourself frustrated with having to take responsibility for those who decide not to put as much work as the rest of their team (had that happen on several occassions)....
...

Otterbein College has a small town feel. The campus is very accepting to all and can make most feel like they are at home. The people here are very helpful and caring. The athletic events are fun to watch and are free to all students. The academics are the strongest part of the college. The intergrative studies program is helpful to all students to enlarge their life experiences. The things that I have been exposed to would have never been exposed to me at a different school and I believe that I am a better student because of it. The small college atmosphere also helps students become more involved. There are less students at Otterbein so there is a better student to faculty ratio. This allows for help to become easier accessed by students which results in better grades and more learning. This college will prepare you for the rest of your life and the small campus makes people know most of the other people.
...

Time 2 Relax Day Spa is a little spa located in a strip mall adjacent to the Norco Lions Club on 6th Street. While the exterior is rustic - common for Norco and its horse community - the interior is tranquil and quaint, effectively placing you in a relaxing atmosphere. It is a small spa, with services in massage therapy, facials, foot detox, and waxing, and great prices. For example, a one hour massage is only $45, and there is no extra charge for specialty massages such as hot stone therapy or deep tissue.

My girlfriend visited recently for their special - an hour European facial and an hour massage for $80 - and enjoyed her stay. Because it is a small place, not all the partitions / walls are completely from floor to ceiling; and while this is not bothersome, her only complaint was the air conditioning as it's centralized for the entire spa and not room-specific or room-adjustable (and the beds are not heated so it can't compensate for it). It would be easily rectified with...
...

Kings Mills was the perfect place to have my wedding. They have many rooms to chose from to fit what you need. The food was amazing, and there was lots of it! The ceremony was outside and they are very efficiant getting the ceremony to rum smoothly. The pictures we have are awesome, and you can only have your pictures taken there if you are married there so its nice that not everyone can have a picture like ours. The father and sons that run the place are so helpul and will make the day so stress free and relaxed!
...

jsan825 says "Absolutely the best vet I have ever had!" about James Peterson, DVM - Highway Veterinary Hospital - Bowie, MD

My first experience with Dr Jim came because my old vet could not diagnose what was wrong with my then 11 week old german shepherd puppy (she is now a very healthy 2+ y/o dog). Not only did Dr. Jim diagnose and treat the problem, he truly cares about the animals and their humans. When my 6 year old male GSD needed surgery to remove a cyst, there was no other place I would have the surgery done. The customer service and follow up care provided by the receptionist and staff are top notch, not to mention the phenomemal knowledge and skill of Dr. Jim and Dr. Elise. If you are looking for QUALITY care in a truly CARING facility, look no further. I have, and will continue to, recommend Dr Jim and Dr Elise to anyone needing veterinary care in the area.
...

Zebuca says "Great Place for All Ages" about Wonder Works - Orlando, FL

We took my husband's girls here over summer break. I had purchased with a buy 1 get 1 1/2 off. However, Wonderworks normally has a coupon on-line too. The place is filled with games, science interactions, life size bubble maker. Pretty much anything that your brain could imagine.

Watch out when you first go in, as the littlest one got dizzy and fell. It also made me a little queasy.

One of the biggest things you need to do is to get your kids to slow down. Otherwise you will have spent all of this money for an hour long, when it really could be a couple of hours. The girls were 5 and 7 at the time, so if they ran ahead, we would have them come back so that they could see everything.

Definitely a good "once in a while" type activity as you will most likely forget most of the activities to do. i can say that there will definitely be at least one thing that each person in the family will enjoy. Beware of the shop and food when you are leaving.
...
