A must have for my job. I've always heard good things about Craftsman and I agree having owned my wrenches for 5+ years now. I broke one on the job and it was such a simple replace at Sears for a new one. You really can't beat that especially if you depend on your tools to feed your family and make a wage. Easy to clean up, and work especially great when in conjunction with other Craftsman tools. I carry them with me everyday to the various job sites and haven't been disappointed yet.

Very reasonably priced for what they are.
...

soccerstaralways says "This drill is worth every penny I paid... hands down!" about Ridgid RIDGID 18V Lithium-Ion Compact Drill Driver

I use this drill all the time for work as a Electrical Tech, this drill travels easy because of its compact size, but don't let the size fool you, it is pretty powerful and does a great job. I travel all over the United States and Canada with this drill and it fits in my portable tool case with ease. My other drill I have is too bulky to travel with. Rigid tools seem to be built tough and good quality. You woun't be disappointed."

My friend is a professional home builder, who allowed me to use his quote: "I bought this drill and while back and have loved it. I build custom homes full time and do remodels also. I haven't thrown anything at this drill that it couldn't handle. Whether it's drilling through 2x joist material or doing more delicate work, this drill is up for it with no hesitations. Take it from a professional. This drill is worth getting. And you can't beat the lifetime service agreement."

babers says "Great tool to have on hand" about Black & Decker Cordless Pivot Driver 9078

The Black & Decker cordless Pivot Driver is a great tool to have on hand. It is red with a gray top and is easy to locate when searching through a tool box. This is actually a cordless screw driver that is rechargeable via a rechargeable battery pack that sits in a special charger to charge, for about 4 hours +. This driver has a special pivoting head that pivots when a button is pushed. This feature comes in very handy when you can not get at a screw with a regular scre driver that is straight. This screw driver is pretty powerful using 3.6 volts to power it. It has a button that can be pushed to make it goe clockwise and counter clockwise, so it basically does the work for you at a faster pace than you could do it yourself. Overall this is a great item to have on hand for the handyman or just as an household item to keep around when needed. Woman who are not use to using a screw driver will find this to be super easy and fun to use. Good product for around $20-30.00 and it is rechargeable,...
...

BillyBass says "The DeWalt DCD950 Cordless/Drill/Driver/Hammerdrill is my choice" about DeWalt DCD950 Cordless/Drill/Driver/Hammerdrill

The DeWalt DCD950 Cordless/Drill/Driver/Hammerdrill Is my choice when I need an all around drill/driver. I have used one in my professional carrer and now I have one for home.

With 21 settings on the clutch I can do evrything from the really tough to the very delicate and not worry about stripping or over torquing. And with three speeds to choose from I never have to worry about power. Three seperate modes to choose from make it simple and efficent. I can choose Hammer, Drill or Screw. The forward and reverse switch makes it easy to install or removewhatever I'm working on. The keyless chuck makes it a snap to change between bits.

It is constructed of heavy duty plastic and metal (for the gears). There is a soft rubber cushion grip on both the front and the back of the handle. With the battery installed it has a nice even weight. With the 18v XRP battery I don't have to worry about runnig short. The battery pack is easy to install and to remove.

And that's my two cents.

...

I bought this Dewalt 18V cordless drill for my Husband a little over a year ago. After having gone through several other name brand corded and cordless drills we decided to bite the bullet and spend a little more for a quality product. My husband had had experience using this product in his work setting and was already impressed with it's quality. We purchased this at our local Lowe's store in a combo pack with a reciprocating saw. I have had the opportunity to use this myself numerous times. You have plenty of power to drill into anything you can think of. We have used this on wood, metal, and powerline poles with no problem. The battery life is exceptional. This drill unlike others I have used is not overly heavy and is quite balance with the battery attached. It comes with a quick charger and nice hard plastic case to keep everything out of the weather. I would highly recommend this drill to anyone from a homeowner to a professional. You can't go wrong with this...
...

For as long as I can remember I've had an infatuation with Dremel Rotary Tools. What's hard to understand? I'm a male, the Dremel spins fast and it grinds, sands, cuts, drills and polishes. Case closed.

Background

I remember watching my uncle using his Dremel. I was always impresed with what he could do with this versatile tool.

At the time I was really into AMT 3-in-1 automobile models. I would always opt to customize my new model. So, I would take out the included putty and customize away. It wasn't long before I realized that with the Dremel Rotary Tool I could really refine my designs. Before you knew it I was winning local modeling competitions. So, my dad, the least handy person I know (barring my brother) got me my own. To this day I still own it.

Time Marches On

These days, the tools de jour are cordless. So, when I saw the Cordless 7.2V Dremel Multi Tool, I just knew I had to have it. Never mind that I still had two perfectly good corded Dremels in my...
...

Most of the other reviews of Ryobi cordless drills seem positive, but I'm returning my second 18V Lithium drill, model P815, to Home Depot tomorrow and buying something else. I liked the feel of it and it worked well -- when it worked. In August, 2009, I bought the package which included the drill, two compact batteries, and a charger. I took it home and charged the batteries and checked them in the drill. They both worked, so I left one in the drill and put the charger, extra battery, and drill back in the storage bag. I used it twice for a couple of minutes each during the next two months. Abouit three weeks ago, I took it out to use it and it didn't work at all. I knew I hadn't used it enough to run the battery down, but I put the other battery in. It still didn't work. So, I recharged both batteries. The charger has lights which tell you when it is charged and also tell you (supposedly) if the battery is defective. Both batteries seemed to charge ok, at least according...
...

My husband decided to buy a chainsaw and I was really excited to give it a try. But this is not the small chainsaw I thought we would be getting. He went down and bought the farm boss. We had this for maybe a year before I finally got the guts to give it a try. I love it. It is really easy to start and not as heavy as I thought it would be. Once he showed me how to use it I went crazy I wanted to cut everything down. I enjoy using it more then he does. It is a very dependable chainsaw. It is easy to maintain and the people at our stihl shop are so friendly. One of my favorite features is the safety, if the chainsaw kicks your wrist will hit the safety bar and it stops the chain. So nobody should lose any important parts. we have had this chainsaw for over three years now and still no problems. The bar oil and two stoke oil is not to expensive at all and is always in stock at our stihl shop. So if you are looking in to buying a chainsaw buy a stihl.
...

The STIHL MS250 chainsaw is great for the homeowner who has lots of trees to cut down. I cut down three trees on the weekend and it worked great. Mine has an 18 inch bar which I find so much better than the standard 16 inch bar. I cut down 2 medium size cedar trees plus a medium sized hard maple tree. It also is very good on gas consumption; I only used a little more than two tanks of gas for the three trees which included cutting the trees down, limbing them and cutting the tree trunks into fire ready pieces. The automatic chain oiling system also worked flawlessly. I would seriously suggest to anyone looking for a new chainsaw that this is the one for you. The saw is a little bit on the heavy side, so that by the end of the day I was a little tired particularly in my upper arms. However, as I haven't been using a chainsaw for well over 6 months or so, I'm probably a little out of shape for the job. Still I would highly recomend this saw.
...

I almost have all of the tools in this kit and i am very happy with all of them. The only issue I have is there is not a snake light and the sawzaw has a safety which other brands do not.

I will actually trim my trees with the sawzaw 3 charged battery and a hoodie. I put the 2 batteries in the hoodie pocket, climb the tree with the saw and 3rd battery and go to work on it. when the battery runs low I drop it to the ground and reload a fresh one. I have 7 batteries total so it makes it easier but it is way easier to pull out the sawzaw than a chainsaw for a smaller job.
...

I am a big Dewalt fan and have used them at work a lot. They are tough. When I got a 19.2 Craftsman set for a gift I had very little trust in them. I took them to Kuwait with me during a deployment and I was sold on them. The drills are extremely tough. I have about 3 of them now. They are all about 3-6 years old and still working. I have collected the kits and almost have a full set. The florescent lights are extremely nice for camping or just having in the car. tons of open light and not a beam. They also have a spot light which works very well.

I have a set of Kobalt wire cutters and I love them. I strip wire: work on scrap for extra money and that is one of the best and most versatile tools I have for that work. They cut wire, cut plastic, I can cut almost anything with them.

I have small hands and they are the perfect size for me to hold one-handed. They come in a variety of sizes also.

After her wedding roses were finished, she gave me the scissors for scrapbooking with and I absolutely love them! Everytime I'm cutting out a photo or cutting up an accent piece, I can't believe how quickly and easily these scissors cut! In fact, if I'm not careful it would be easy to cut a photo all the...
...

dmdifalco says "Don't Be Left Out In The Dark Get All Power America's Generator!" about All Power America 3500 Watt 6.5 HP Electric Generator

Living in the country (surrounded by trees) has it's definite advantages and disadvantages. I've never seen so much natural beauty on a daily basis but the downfall of all the trees is that whenever the wind blows and tangles up with power lines...everyone in our neighborhood loses their power. This happens quite frequently during the summer months and I'll never forget the day that my husband purposely came home early to watch the All-Star Baseball Game. As soon as he sat down to turn on our huge HD television...the thing cut out. He ran out of the front door so fast that I didn't have a chance to ask him where he was going. About a half hour later He came in with All Power America's 3500 Watt Generator. Losing our power than was a blessing because we never have to worry about that again. It runs on Gasoline and keeps everything running for eight hours or until you put more gas into the tank. It does sound a bit noisey but it's better than being without light and necessitites...
...

becklomax says "A must have...if you have a compressor" about Bostitch BT200K 18-Gauge Brad Nail Gun

This brad gun is the perfect tool for dispensing nails into trim and other light woods. The only real drawback is that it does require a compressor. My advice is to get this gun if you want it as a supplement to a large gun, like a Bostich framer, and you already have the portable air supply that goes with gear like that. If, however, you are a Sally Housecoat, or someone whose only intent is to have something light for slapping together the occasional Martha Stewart gimmick that requires greater adhesion than hot glue will allow, I wouldn't go for this model. Rather get a brad nailer that is electric like a Paslode. It will be far more practical and easier to use.
...

russinhouston says "Defective unit, defective support, at least Lowes took it back." about Task Force TF1600 Electric Pressure Washer

I bought this pressure washer to replace a Campbell-Hausfeld that I thought had failed; I preferred one that I could get locally, and having had very bad luck with Karchers and McCullough, I decided to try the Lowes store brand unit on the strength of the fact that Lowes own products have been pretty good values in the past. Sadly, this was not one of them.

The unit was defective right out of the box. The spray gun's valve wouldn't open (the trigger moved freely, but nothing happened. To ease the process of getting warranty service, I carefully followed the troubleshooting process described by the manufacturer, and immediately ran into a conceptual error; to test the unit to verify that the problem was not in the pump itself, they instructed that the pressure line needed to be disconnected. With the line pressurized, however, the screw-on conector was next to impossible to unscrew. With considerable effort (and a pair of pliers) I finally got it undone, and verified that the pump...
...

Darkwytch says "Powerful machine that can do anything" about Ryobi Reciprocating saw RJ162V

Ryobi reciprocating saw is corded electric saw with multiple blades and plastic carrying case. This saw works well for medium jobs around the house. It has enough power to cut through solid wood and it can be used indoors and out. I have used mine for jobs that are too big for a hand saw. There are very minor problems with this reciprocating saw. It is somewhat cumbersome for jobs that require careful cutting. The blade can be difficult to guide, so you would not want to use it for very precise work. It works better cutting through small boards. The blade zips through the wood easily, but for wide boards the difficulty guiding the blade becomes evident. The power cord is a little too long and can be difficult to wind and place back in the carrying case. Blades can bend easily. Overall, this is a good saw. Just use common sense and you should have no problem with it. It is handy for home use. Be safe and keep the power cord out of the way.
...
