Beware buyers ! Spaguts.com is most certainly the worst company to purchase Spa/Hot tub and pool parts for.

Their customer service is the absolute worst that I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. From what I can tell it consists of 1 employee. When calling in to report a problem expect to hold more than 20 minutes on dead air. If you ever reach a live person you will definatly not be treated courteously. The employees working there are rude and centered on one thing, making sure the company get's and keeps your money.

If you have one of their products, beware, it will stop working guarenteed. No if's and's or but's, it will die before the warrently period. I purchased 2 blowers and they both died, the first one in only 10 months and the second one that I purchased less then 2 weeks ago is dead out of the box. If you are looking for an RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) number, forget it as they will deny all claims.

The only way to obtain an RMA number is to use their on-line...
...

We bought one of these pools and had it for 2 summers. By the third summer the poles were rusting out and we put gorilla tape over the holes to prevent anyone from getting hurt. We had to replace the filter every summer that we used the pool. We always took the filter system out to store for the winter. Also the hoses don't last for more than a summer. We also had a problem this last summer with the chlorine levels not being right. The pump just wasn't big enogh to pump all that water. My kids ended up getting chlorine burns on their skin(not fun). The next pool we get will have the saltwater filter system. No more chemicals to deal with.
...

My husband and I live in North Carolina, and have an above ground pool. We have had the pool for going on three years. The first year and a half, we had a chemical pool which the first year was great. The next year we started having problems. When we first put it up and got it running it was going good. We were in pool almost everyday and had a blast, then the problems started with the chemical tests were off. One day we were add pH up, then the next we had to add pH down. Adding clorine and shocking the pool every week was no fun and cost so much. The amount of money we spent on the chemicals alone could make me cry all over again. The water bill was crazy because we drained the pool at least three times the first summer, and once the next year due to the pool turning green and would not clear up. After shocking the pool and trying to get chemicals balanced, we were about to give up and take pool down. We figured it was a waste of money to keep trying to fix the problem. The second summer...
...

We have had our Intex pool for about 3 years. It has been a great pool for our two kids. It is not too big but not too small. Big enough for adults to get into on those hot hot days and cool down. About the right size for 2 to 4 kids depending on age. Our pool has held up well but we have had to replace a few poles due to rust. For 3 years of use I'd say we have gotten our moneys worth out of it. Pump has held up well but we have had to replace the hoses, should be a bit bigger though. We also use a salt water chlorinator which is great.

I don't really have any complaints other than I wish Intex would make the poles a bit stronger and more rust resistant and put a larger pump with it. The liner is very durable.

Great summer fun for the kiddos.
...

I bought a 2007 Doughboy 24' Round swimming pool. The pool is great, but the basket in the deluxe skimmer is terrible. If you have any amount of leaves get into the basket, be prepared to get it replaced, and it doesn't take much. Everyday I clean my skimmer basket, but I can't be readily available 24/7 after a storm or some wind. The basket was cheaply designed and the material is poorly constructed. I have gone through eight baskets since I bought the pool. I have never had any problem with the older pool that had to be replaced, and only once did I have to replace a skimmer basket, only because it was eight years old and it fell apart at the top. Doughboy does not acknowledge the problem and I'm not liking the fact that I have to pay for baskets, but my swimming pool dealer gives me deals. I've had pools at every house I've ever owned, and this is horrible.
...

Doughboy Swimming Pools are one of the highest quality above ground swimming pools on the market. I work for a business that has sold this brand for the last 20 years. The heavy steel construction along with the 7' deep end option sets these pools apart from the rest. The model I am most farmiliar with is the Intrigue. This is a full steel frame with an 8.5" top ledge. The pool and liner are warranted for 30 years. Most decent above ground swimming pools will offer a 20 - 30 year warranty but will typically last 12-15 years. It is not rare that a Doughboy pool can last 25-30 years. The Doughboy pools are available in 12' round - 32' round and 12' x 24' oval up to 21' x 41' oval....

I had bought one of these pools for my kids last summmer for our annual 4 of July party. I was really suprised at how easy it was to set up. It even came with an instructional DVD to help. Very easy to keep clean with the filters too. And to my suprise it was big enough for all 4 kids and 6 adults. And now that winter is settling in it was a snap to take down. I can't wait to set it up again next summer. I would recommend this pool to anyone thats looking for an inexpensive way to have some great summer fun....

I bought this Intex pool two summers ago and I love it. It is the best investment I have ever made. We used the pool everyday and we took it down at the end of the season. It is so easy to put together and take down. It stores very nicely too. The one thing that made me a little nervous was the metal bars, they started leaning towards the end of the summer. It never fell over though! I also did not like the ladder so I went and bought a plastic one where the one side flips up for safety reasons. For the money you pay for this instead of a permanent one, I do think you save a lot of money. We are military and we move a lot so it is nice we can take it with us and move with it. ...

I bought this pool in early June at sale at a Meijer store. I have too say I am so happy I bought this pool. Set up was easy, but I did have hubby rent a bobcat and level out our yard where it sits since there was a four inch drop from one side to the other. It is really big and deep for the little money we paid for it. I have never had a pool before so I bought one of the starter sets that have the chlorine tablets and shock in it and I haven't had any problems so far. I did find that the "vaccum" attachment wasn't doing such a great job so I bought some tubing and a real vaccum and pole for the pool. Made a huge difference. I do agree with other people that the filter pump should be larger for a pool of this size but we actually keep the thing running 24/7. Pool is always clean. The skimmer works well too. I hope to have this pool for a couple of years. If I could recommend anything to the manufacter it would be to upgrade the filter and start making a real vaccum....

Intex Metal Frame Pool

What is it?
Intex Metal Frame Pool is an above ground pool that you put up and take down, seasonally. It is not a permanent pool. Basically, it's a pool liner that is held up with PVC piping. It also comes with a filter, cover and ladder. The Intex Metal Frame Pool can be bought in most retail stores.

My Viewpoint!
I bought the Intex Metal Frame Pool last summer at Target on a whim. I really wanted a pool for my family that didn't require me to sit on my knees or empty nightly. I also didn't want a permanent pool because those are way too expensive.

As I was cruising by the summer section, I noticed the Intex Metal Frame Pool on sale and without thinking, bought it. I am so glad that I did!

The Intex Metal Frame Pool has provided my family (and friends) with countless hours of fun in the summertime. It's tall enough so we don't have to sit on our butts in the pool to completely cool off and wide enough where the whole family can swim together and not...
...

My husband and I LOVE our Intex above ground vinyl pool! We've had it for about a year or more. Taken it down to re-level the bottom here recently, bought pool floaties/toys and a robot vacuum pool cleaner, a new saltwater generator pump. We have "little" maintenance to do now with the new saltwater system than before. No more chlorine chemicals, no more algae! That's the only drawback was the pump in my opinion didn't pump enough gph so we now have a 2,000 GPH. Our friends and family come over and enjoy it also. The sun heats up the vinyl which heats up the water during the daytime....at night it's wonderful!! Inexpensive and movable, not a permanent fixture! ...

kid-kansas says "A liquid chlorine shock for your swimming pool" about Sunbelt Chemicala Smart Products Liqui- Shock

Last fall while shopping at Home Depot I found a large display of the Liqui-Shock and it was on clearance for $2.50 a gallon, so I filled my cart with 12 bottles for this years pool season. Now normally I just use regular bleach to help maintain my pool but it is only 6% Sodium Hypochlorate (bleach) and this Liqui-Shock is 10%, so at $2.50 a gallon it was a steal since generic bleach around here is about $2.00 a gallon!

Smart Products Liqui-Shock

Normally I use 2 gallons of bleach when I first open my pool for the season and then 1 gallon every 2 weeks to maintain my chlorine levels but that doesn't leave very much "free chlorine" to fight rain, skin oils and the sun. Sunlight will breakdown your chlorine fast. I also have a tablet floater to help out.

Using this 10% Liqui-Shock my free chlorine has stayed consistently above those levels the past 2 years. It has also helped keep the algae at basy this year a lot better than last year. I still use the same amount of stabilizer but use less......

This pool is great for the price. It is big enough for our family of four and to have a few friends in too. The set up as far as the pool its self is easy but you have to have a level spot. that is the hard part. you also need to buy the sand to go under it or you will end up with a hole in the bottom at the end of the summer. The chemicals get to be really expensive as well. The pump is a joke so you relly need to go to a pool store and but a good one to keep the price of chemicals down. The feet of the poles are way to small and the pool will not stay strudy so you have to make your own platforms for them to give a better stability. The plastic pegs rot quick and break so you end up having to replace them or go buy bolts and nuts insted. If you think you are buying this pool and it will be easy all you do is follow directions and you are good to go forever think again. it is alot of work getting the ground ready and upkeeping it once you get it up. The equipment does have to be replaced......

Our daughter had every birthday party here with at least 15 kids. We Did have it installed by the company we purchased it from, well worth the extra cost, we where swimming in it the same evening. The only thing we had to replace the motor after about 8 years, but the liner has never failed us yet. Can't wait to get it open for another summer.
...

Beachmom says "Great company for your in ground pool installation " about In Ground Pool Georgia Classic Pool

From start to finish, Vance and Joe Dover have been in constant communication with me. Calls are returned and email and questions are answered patiently and thoroughly. The process has taken a little longer than I expected but the finished product is well worth the wait. I especially like the structured payment schedule so that nothing is paid for until it is completed to my satisfaction. The quality of materials is exceptional and the crews are reliable and courteous. The overall process from start to finish has been really easy and this company has been a pleasure to work with. Ga Classic Pool and Landscape has taken all the stress and worry of permitting and passing inspections out of my hands which is a huge relief. The company has very competitive pricing. I highly recommend this pool company if you are looking to install an inground pool in the Metro Atlant area (yes you can get water to fill it). Ga Classic Pool and Landscape does everything from your basic pool to the custom......

srgoos says "Salt instead of Chlorine is a life saver." about In Ground Pool Salt Filter

We switched to using salt instead of chlorine before this last summer, and we absolutely love it. The salt is so much easier on your hair (you don't get that straw for hair), and your skin feels absolutely smooth instead of drying out like with chlorine....

Solo says "The nasty green algae was gone overnight!" about Water Warehouse Total Algaecide

The pool was turning green and looked really nasty. I followed the directions for this algaecide and couldn't believe fast it worked. The pool was blue again in less than 24 hours. This was a low cost alternative to calling the pool guy to come and help....
