My husband deployed to Iraq early this morning, so suffice it to say, I have been feeling blue all day. Right around dinnertime, a friend dropped by to give me a plate of cookies and to offer encouragement. Both were greatly appreciated. After she left (and as I started to dig in to the chocolaty-goodness), I realized that the plate had writing on it. I dug a bit further and found out that she had left instructions for the plate under the cookie pile. The plate was a Villeroy and Boch/KitchenAid Cook for the Cure plate.

About a year ago, I bought 4 chargers from Williams-Sonoma's Nito serving collection. After using them a few times, I liked them so much that I decided to go back and buy the entire collection. It was one of the best purchase decisions I have ever made. Now that I live in Hawaii, I use them every single day!

The Nito serving collection and accessories are hand-woven from the nito forest vine. They are a rich coffee brown color and are coated with a lacquer finish. This protects them from water damage and allows them to be easily cleaned with a damp cloth. The Nito collection pieces are great for outdoor dining, and are very durable. Mine hardly show any signs of wear after over a year of constant use. I have been able to wipe off any spills so that my Nito collection pieces look almost as nice as the day they arrived in the mail.

Wow! Who would have thought I would be writing a review on my dish set but yes, it is that good! My main reason for writing: I already had pictures on my digital camera when I was trying to show someone my new dinnerware so I figured I could share them with you too!

The dinnerware comes in green (Rave), red (Rave Red) and a khaki color (Taupe). I am redoing my kitchen into a nostalgic Coke design--you know the old fashioned diner. So, I requested the dishes for my birthday. One of my best friends gave me the green set and my sister gave me the red. I mixed and matched them to bring out both of the main colors for nostalgic Coke. They are at Walmart and one of the popular displays at this time. My area is selling them for $39.99. This box set includes four place settings and the setting includes a dinner plate, salad/dessert plate, bowl, and coffee mug. You will get your money's worth if you invest in this item!

I got my Luigi Bormioli 4-in-1 Serving Dishat Target for about $19. I now see that this was a very good deal since I see the same item online for $30 and up! Go to target, it's a much better deal.

I bought this for one reason only, I was making a cake and I needed a Cake Plate to display it in. There were a few options available at Target, but this one caught my attention because it said it had 4 uses in 1. When I got home, I realized it really only has 3 uses, but even so, it's still very much worth the price.

As a Cake Plate, this item worked well and made my cake look extra nice, however it was heavy. The lid stayed on because of the dots around the edges, but I could tell that if I had slipped at all the lid would easily fall off. This cake plate is more for displaying the cake and not the best idea for travel (unless you are traveling close by OR holding onto it during the trip). It does make the cake look very nice though and makes for great pictures!

What I really love about my white corningware seven ounce ramekins is how versatile they are. I can bake in them, store the left overs in them, and then pop them into the dishwasher. Another feature that I like is the simplicity of the style. They go with virtually everything, from formal to the simplest of meals. The cost is also a plus! The ramekins are very reasonably priced and come in a package of four. The only draw back that I can see to the ramekins is that they are relatively small, and that they only come in one color. I happen to love the color and the size is perfect for me, so I am a happy camper. Desserts taste great in them!...

I bought these plates beucase i was sick of looking at those ridiculous plastic plates with kids characters on them. And, my kids were always fighting about who got what character.

Well, these Fiesta plates were so inexpensive that I bought them for a mexican themed dinner party three years ago. I bought 30 of them in mixed colors Well, i don't think one of them has broken, or chipped or cracked. Maybe a few have scratched on them, but not many. I got great selection -- turquoise, navy, green, orange, red, pink and light blue. They are microwave safe and really add a splash of warmth to the table. I've also purchased some of the Fiestaware platters as well, but nothing beats the plates!

I saw this china pattern in Macy's and fell in love. It is beautiful, classy and timeless. This is definitely a pattern you could use forever. Unlike a busier pattern, this set will never go out of style. It is a set that could be passed down and actually used and appreciated. Every time I use my china, I am reminded of how lovely it really is.

This pattern is made out of the highest quality fine bone china. It has two platinum bands around the outer edge of each piece, and other platinum bands added as accents on various pieces (coffee pot, gravy boat, etc.). This simple but elegant pattern allows me to accent the table with other serving or decorative pieces as well as with chargers and linens. Silver chargers look very nice with this set year-round, and red chargers really pop during Christmas.

My table looks very put-together when I also use my various serving pieces. Waterford makes every conceivable "extra" you could possible ever need.

These dishes were highly recommended by the saleswomen in Williams-Sonoma. I was looking for higher quality everyday dishes that were as practical as they were attractive. I wanted something that was neutral so that I could get fun accent pieces over time. This style definitely fits that bill. These dishes are made out of a high quality white porcelain. They are dishwasher, microwave, freezer and oven safe. I have never actually put mine in the oven, but apparently you can.

These dishes are very durable. We have already moved them once, and will be shipping them to Hawaii in about 5 months. From then on, we will be moving about every 3 years, so I needed something that was going to hold up well to being shipped all over the world. These plates are exactly what I need. Not a single one had chipped yet, and we are not exactly gentle with our dishes. When I was in the store, another customer told me that she has had her set for 15 years and had not had to replace...

When I saw these wooden bowls in a Williams-Sonoma store, I just could not leave without them. They are absolutely gorgeous! They are made out of Vermont yellow birch, and are a great way to dress up a salad. Unlike other wooden bowls I have had over the years, I do not have to polish this set or refrain from using heavier dressings in it. The bowls clean very nicely with soap and water and do not seem to warp, chip or loose coloring with frequent use.

The set includes a 12" serving bowl and four 6.25" individual bowls. I also have an additional 4 individual bowls. They are available only at Williams-Sonoma and are priced at $120 for the 12" bowl, $40 for each 6.25" bowl, or the above mentioned 5-pc set for $249.

While they are very pricey, I believe that they were definitely worth the money. They add a bit of class to the table and are something that I anticipate using forever. I would recommend that anyone registering at Williams-Sonoma add this set to the list.

I fell in love with this pattern, and purchased service for 12, and many serving pieces. The stuff is garbage. It chips sooooooooo easily. I have owned other good dishes, and NEVER had this problem before. I am not careless with my belongings... and am really dissappointed in it. NEVER again !!!...

This pattern is lovely and can be used along with Christmas decorations, looking beautiful against festive green chargers, or for everyday dinners. Its green and white Ivy design is so simple, yet so pretty. I bought mine at Amazon.com and it all arrived well packaged and unchipped.

I've got a number of the serving pieces - and they make great wish list items - people always know what to get me for Christmas or birthdays. The serving pieces are ironstone, the plates, cups, saucers and bowls, etc. are Corelle corningware. Just about as unbreakable as you can buy!

My daughter picked out the Wedgwood "Lustreware" Blue Fin 5-Piece Place Setting. It was on her registry. My mom bought here a 12 place settings. I had seen them since they were stored in my house but now that they have a condo they are where they should be. We set the table for Thanksgiving using all five pieces.

We chose this china as our wedding china. I wanted to have something I could stand to look at every day for the next 50 years. There are multiple colors available (blue, purple, sand, brown, red, green, etc.) to match any color scheme in a kitchen or dining room. The interiors are a pleasant ivory color. With the proper trimmings, this china also sets a very lovely fine dining table.

The only drawback to this china is that it is very susceptible to nickel marks. The ivory on the plates will get gray streaks as utensils repeatedly strike. At first I thoguht this was irreparable. I was informed by Noritake that a scouring ceramic cleaner or Bar Keeper's Friend (not Comet--it needs some other chemical) will take the marks off. With some effort and time, the marks do come off and the plates, bowls, etc. do not lose their sheen.

Overall I am very pleased with my choice and would recommend it to anyone who does not mind taking the time to use a little elbow-grease about once a year...

Fiestaware is classic and fantastic. There are tons of available colors. We chose a large mix of colors to add vibrance to our kitchen. Even if they discontinue one of our colors, it is easy to replace. They are substantial plates - they have a nice heft and make a terrific presentation.

The coffee mugs that come with the 5-piece setting are pretty useless - they are cute, but very small.

The enamel shows scratches pretty quickly, but they do not affect the surface or the quality. Fiestaware rules!...
