I have been very happy with the look and functionality of our HomeTrends Rave Stripe until recently when we found that they can get dangerously hot in the microwave... the cup with liquid after one minute in the microwave is hot enough to blister fingers. The cup is much hotter than the liquid contained in it. We checked our microwave and it is operating as it should. Something within the dinnerware seems to have changed. When we first bought the dinnerware a few months ago they actually were microwave safe, now they definately are not. They are getting hairline cracks all through the dinnerware, but you don't really notice them unless you look closely.

Surely, Everyone has heard of Tracy Porter by now? If not, She is in a league of her own with so much talent! Tracy Porter is an artist who has created the most STUNNING dinnerware which is Asian inspired. Her dinnerware falls into it's own catagory "Dinnerscapes". Tracy Porter has a huge fanbase which includes Oprah Winfrey. After viewing her numerous dinnerware collections (They are all so devine) - I would be happy with the "Katsina Collection". Santa, Do You Hear Me? I think I would melt if I got my wish. Dinnertime in our house was always very important. It was the time when everyone sat down together and we caught up on everyone's day. It was always a good, family time. With Tracy's Dinnerware...dinnertime can now be an exotic adventure. It can be a joy for the hostess to serve you as well as the guests to admire. I've never seen anything fashioned like Tracy's collections they are true collector pieces. She has her own website and is running promotions...

I'm constantly replacing broken, chipped and cracked dinnerware! it's annoying and sometimes can even cause injuries!

I've resorted to plastic plates for a while, then tried a second had store. Once in a while I find some really nice things there and went hoping to find some nice replacement dishes, for I was not about to spend another dime on a new set just to have them chipping and breaking all over the place, not for a while.

Little did I know that I would find the dishes, that would make me a fan of Corelle for life.

A large stack of thin white plates with blue hearts in the center set on a shelf along with other used dishes, beckoned me to take a closer look.

What are these? they are so thin, yet felt strong and sturdy in my hand. I wondered were they porcelain? or ceramic? ther'e to light to be stoneware, and certainly were not plastic.

While still lost in my contemplations, two sweet looking little ladies approached me, "You should buy those plates, they will be around a long...

Sango Dinnerware sets and pieces are available from many retailers and come in several different colors. I purchased 2 boxes (4 place-settings each) in Nova Brown plus soup mugs for everyday dining. The subtle-swirl caramel plates with brown rims blend easily with many of my table linens, and their heavy-weight seemed to be a sturdy choice for my family of four.

These dishes are clearly stamped MICROWAVE SAFE on the back, but this is not so! Plates, mugs and bowls become excessively hot when used in the microwave - I cannot remove them without a potholder. They are significantly hotter than other dishes which warm from the heat of cooking food. Worse, three pieces have come out of the microwave with a crack down the middle! (Please note that these dishes are not in the microwave for longer than it takes to heat a frozen pocket sandwich or heat a mug of soup.)

The dinner plates, while generously sized, easily mark from table knife use. The coffee and soup mugs do not easily...

Lenox butterfly meadow mugs are a great piece to buy. I love Lenox very much especially the butterfly meadow series. My friend and I both bought a lot of different dinnerware include cup in Lenox butterfly meadow series.

The overall design is elegant with nice color. The flowers and leaves are nicely drwan and the cup shape is very nice. Especially the ripple edge is very unique. The cup is very thin and light, make it easy to handle. The China color is very white and you can tell it is in very fine China.

It can be used everywhere, does not matter you use it to drink or just as a display. Every time you see it you feel happy. The design itself really matching the name "butterfly meadow". Imagine you relax on a meadow full of flower and butterflies.

The price is another significant advantage compare to other brands. I found Lenox has the best price with also the best design, it is amazing.

I recently bought new dinnerware, Corningware Traditions- embossed white pattern. I fell in love with them the first time I saw them. They are classy and substantial all at the same time.

It was a bonus to find out that they are dishwasher safe, oven safe and microwave safe. They can't be used under a broiler though- or in a toaster oven or stovetop. A warning comes with the dinnerware that says not to put liquid in a hot dish or heat in a microwave empty. I thought that was all self explanatory but apparently not.

The stoneware is easy to clean. It is dishwasher safe and a non-abrasive cleaner can be used on stains. Stoneware is not to be soaked for extended periods of time however.

This pattern is suitable for everyday use and would be especially lovely in a Shabby Chic home.

The dinnerware set comes with huge 11 inch dishes, 9 inch lunch plates, substantial cereal/soup bowls and good sized mugs. I bought matching pie plates to use as pasta dishes. Additional serving pieces...

To make a long story mercifully short, I have acquired over the years a stack of gift cards at least an inch high. Some of these were truly gifts and many I earned from places like MyPoints, etc. Back when business was booming, I felt such confidence in the future that I allowed the gift cards to stack up unused, considering them to be as good as money in the bank. By the time I realized that the shaking and rattling outside my door was the economy sliding downhill, it was already too late to avoid getting stuck with a $50 Bennigan's card that I can no longer use but it didn't take a brick wall falling on me to make me start using those other gift cards. One of the first I cashed in was for a $50 bonanza over at Pier 1 Imports.

WHAT I BOUGHT:

As my other reviews will attest, I eat a lot of soup and was down to my last soup mug equipped with a convenient handle. Pier 1 Imports no longer carries their popular crackle-glazed mugs which used to come in peach or green but that's...

For the past few years, I've poured my morning tea into old mugs that have seen better days. I decided to upgrade, but I had specific requirements. I wanted a pleasing design, 12-ounces or more capacity, a feminine-yet-solid feel, and the ability to toss in the dishwasher. The Pimpernel Mug and Coaster Gift Set met my requirements and more.

Each set comes with two porcelain mugs and two matching 4 1/4" X 4 1/4" cork-backed coasters. There are several varieties to choose from; I selected both the Amaryllis and the Iris sets.

The mugs have a slightly curved shape and look even better in person. The colors are vivid and the interior of the mug is highlighted by a tiny coordinating image of the outer design. It's a nice touch that makes the tea cup stand out from similar mugs.

I've put the mugs through the dishwasher with no loss of color or chipping. The only downside is that the coaster - while beautiful - has a slick surface that gets a bit slippery when wet. I'm not...

This Light Show Pitcher is a lot of fun, and a great addition to decor at casual parties. And the version of light show you get varies a little with the kind of drink you put in the pitcher. However it's not the most practical pitcher. It doesn't hold a whole lot compared with it's size. It's not dishwasher safe so has to be handwashed. And it's tricky to line up the base for assembly for use. But the whole point of the thing is it's fun light show, so you just have to keep that in perspective. It really does look neat. And the light show piece comes out and could be used seperately as a centerpiece or something if you wanted....

I have many family gatherings at my house year round. I can remember at one gathering I was serving baked ziti. Not really thinking, I put out some regular no name brand paper plates. About a year ago, I bought 4 chargers from Williams-Sonoma's Nito serving collection. After using them a few times, I liked them so much that I decided to go back and buy the entire collection. It was one of the best purchase decisions I have ever made. Now that I live in Hawaii, I use them every single day!

The Nito serving collection and accessories are hand-woven from the nito forest vine. They are a rich coffee brown color and are coated with a lacquer finish. This protects them from water damage and allows them to be easily cleaned with a damp cloth. The Nito collection pieces are great for outdoor dining, and are very durable. Mine hardly show any signs of wear after over a year of constant use. I have been able to wipe off any spills so that my Nito collection pieces look almost as nice as the day they arrived in the mail.

Wow! Who would have thought I would be writing a review on my dish set but yes, it is that good! My main reason for writing: I already had pictures on my digital camera when I was trying to show someone my new dinnerware so I figured I could share them with you too!

The dinnerware comes in green (Rave), red (Rave Red) and a khaki color (Taupe). I am redoing my kitchen into a nostalgic Coke design--you know the old fashioned diner. So, I requested the dishes for my birthday. One of my best friends gave me the green set and my sister gave me the red. I mixed and matched them to bring out both of the main colors for nostalgic Coke. They are at Walmart and one of the popular displays at this time. My area is selling them for $39.99. I got my Luigi Bormioli 4-in-1 Serving Dishat Target for about $19. I now see that this was a very good deal since I see the same item online for $30 and up! Go to target, it's a much better deal.

I bought this for one reason only, I was making a cake and I needed a Cake Plate to display it in. There were a few options available at Target, but this one caught my attention because it said it had 4 uses in 1. When I got home, I realized it really only has 3 uses, but even so, it's still very much worth the price.

As a Cake Plate, this item worked well and made my cake look extra nice, however it was heavy. The lid stayed on because of the dots around the edges, but I could tell that if I had slipped at all the lid would easily fall off. This cake plate is more for displaying the cake and not the best idea for travel (unless you are traveling close by OR holding onto it during the trip). It does make the cake look very nice though and makes for great pictures!

What I really love about my white corningware seven ounce ramekins is how versatile they are. I can bake in them, store the left overs in them, and then pop them into the dishwasher. Another feature that I like is the simplicity of the style. They go with virtually everything, from formal to the simplest of meals. The cost is also a plus! The ramekins are very reasonably priced and come in a package of four. The only draw back that I can see to the ramekins is that they are relatively small, and that they only come in one color. I happen to love the color and the size is perfect for me, so I am a happy camper. Desserts taste great in them!...
