Le Creuset Stoneware Baking Dishes

Le Creuset Stoneware Baking Dishes aren't your grandmother's casserole dishes! My Grandmother's cooking is fabulous, and I think I am a pretty good cook too but one thing I have going for me is my Le Creuset Stoneware Baking Dishes.

I have Le Creuset rectangular baking dishes that are perfect for:

Thanksgiving stuffing

Casseroles

Sheet Cakes

I have Le Creuset smaller oval baking dishes that are perfect for:

side dishes

downsizing left overs

appetizers like crab dip

I have Le Creuset small rectangular baking dishes that are perfect for:

gift loafs of zuchinni bread

rice pudding for two

small sides like cranberry sauce

And oh so much more. These are just a few examples to get the wheels turning.

Le Creuset baking dishes come in a variety of colors. I have deep reds, bright blues and classic pea greens. (I am sure Le Creuset has their own fancy names for their colors. This are just my own take on the hues.)

I like Le Creuset baking dishes because...
...

Betty Crocker Cookie Sheets would make a great Christmas gift for the baker in your family because of how loveable they are. Betty Crocker Cookie Sheets would also make a perfect Christmas gift because they are quite easy on your wallet and you could afford to buy a whole set for someone or buy a few to pass out without hurting your holiday budget at all. My oven is not the newest or the greatest and therefore my cookies usually come out with burnt bottoms before the cookie is fully cooked through. However with the Betty Crocker Cookie Sheets, I have not encountered this problem especially since with a little cooking spray the cookies just slide off of the sheet. This cookies sheets also bear the Betty Crocker name, a name you can trust, so you know that they will last quite a long time. Clean up is a breeze because they are dishwasher safe, but in my own experience I just let them run under water to clean them.
...

The Pampered Chef Pizza stone is the best stone I have every used. I have 3 of them so that I always have 1 available as the others are being used. After seasoning this stone, I never had 1 thing stick to it. It would be very difficult to even burn something on the stones because it provides even heating. They are so easy to use. Just scrape them off and start using them again.

I would say the only drawback to the product is that you must always have a trivet to put under them or it will scratch your counter. I always have trivets, so it's not a big deal to me.
...

From braids to cookies to pizzas, this is a versatile flat Baking Stones and I use it for so many items! Ths is anh everyday favorite in my kitchen!. Classic Round Stone evenly bakes biscuits, pastries and bread doughs. The size is great bisg a full 13-inch in diameter. These stones are reasonably priced. Typically you will find them easy to clean (once properly seasoned). They only get better with time and use! They come with a guarantee. Pick one of these up (and they do come in many shapes and sizes) and throw away those old metal easy to burn cookie sheets. Your dish will be a wonderful golden brown when done and evenly cooked through out. I use mine for cookies, tarts, baked apples and more! I love the easy clean up - usually nothing more than a little water adn rubbed down thih small scraper that comes with it and it is clean and ready for the next use. The only drawback is that it can be a bit heavy - but well worth the effort when you see how wonderful your dish will turn out!...
...

Growing up mother canned every fall and I would assist with the food preparation and filling the Mason jars, and my sister would help with the actual canning. Though I never learned that part of the process and do not use it today, I do use quart size glass Ball jars almost everyday. Whenever possible I purchase food in bulk; this is usually less expensive and I can bring my jars and fill them directly from the bin (I just have a clerk pre-weigh the jars and they write the weight on a sticker on the lid where I'll put the code, and the cashier deducts it at the register). These are great for storing dried fruit, nuts, coffee beans, spices, and bulk tea among other things (and make a beautiful display and you always know how much you have on hand). My favorite use for them; they work wonderfully for steeping tea and when camping in the fall or winter I'll put the jar of hot tea in the foot of my sleeping bag to keep my tootsies warm, and in the morning my tea is the perfect temperature to...
...

vivasuzi says "Who knew there were so many different Easter Shapes!" about Wilton 18 Piece Easter Cookie Cutters

Someone bought me the Wilton 18 Piece Easter Cookie Cutters for my wedding shower. I kept them even though I had already gotten the 100 Piece set (which contained some of the same shapes) off of my registry.

While the 100 Piece set is plastic, the 18 piece set is made of tinned steel. The benefit of this is they have sharp edges so they cut easier, but the downside is that you have to make sure they are clean and don't get rusty. Also, the sharp edges may be a little too sharp for kids. If you plan to bake with kids, the 100 Piece set is safer because it's plastic.

I would have never gone to buy this set since I already had the 100 Piece set, but since someone bought it for me, I used it. The cookie cutters came in handy on Easter a few years ago, and more recently they were great templates for cutting out photos from my Easter Holiday for my scrapbook.

The set comes with some Easter specific items and some that are generic to spring. There are 4 different styles of bunnies,...
...

rondap says "Quality that speaks for itself" about Calphalon Muffin Pan

I received that Calphalon Muffin Pan for a Christmas gift. I have purchased many cheap muffin pans thinking that a pan was a pan. I was wrong.

This pan is nonstick and I have never had an issue with my baked goods sticking. It is also very durable and DISHWASHER SAFE. I have no rust spots on this pand from being in the dishwasher. It looks as new as the day I got it.

It is very important if you have a busy schedule or love spending time with your family instead of doing dishes to have dishwasher safe durable bakeware. I think the extra money you spend on the bakeware will pay off when you are spending more time with your family and letting the dishwasher do the dishes.

Calphalon stands behind their products, so if you ever have an issue with a Calphalon product, I would drop them an email and let the know. They care about making their products look good and making their customers satisfied.
...

The only thing I am not a fan of is the metal trays you can purchase to rest the stone on in the oven. I purchased them and find them to be a waste of money. Save yourself the money and burns and just stick with the stones. Apparently it may come with built on handles now...that may be better.
...

Pampered Chef is a product that you get what you pay for. I bought this Pampered Chef Bar Pan when I losted a party and it only cost me $22. We use this almost every day as it is easy to use, retains the heat and easy to clean. Remember to oil all pampered chef stoneware prior to using and never put in the dishwasher. I love using this product since the more you use it, the better shape it actually makes it. I treasure this piece thinking of using it 30+ years from know when I have grandchildren. lol but for now I love using it for my husband and son. My pampered Chef Consultant also told me that if somethings hould happen to my stoneware that the company will replace the product for free as long as I send it in including the broken pieces. I love knowing that Pampered Chef is trusted by millions of households and backs up its guarantees.

Burnless bakeware was something I had ordered from a website that gave away free kitchen utensils, bakeware, etc if you signed up for a partner offer. I got this little square pan as I didn't have one at the time. Well I must say, if you're actually using it to make cake, it's wonderful. It cools amazingly fast and it doesn't burn, really. However, I also tried making a casserole in this little pan. Not a good idea. It's made of silicone and I wasn't really thinking when I did it, however, it was extremely tough to get that out of the oven without spilling. The silicone is extremely flexible so it would flex and liquid came running out into my oven and onto the floor. NEVER AGAIN will I try that. However, it works great for dessert, definitely worth the price I paid!! (haha)
...

When I had to make Deviled Eggs for a potluck, the first thing I thought of was how would I get them there? I only have a few big sized tupperware, and I know these pot lucks are always all over the place so I was worried I'd lose my tupperware. That is when I found Durable Foil Bake & Take Cake Pans.

The Durable Foil Cake Pans are 13" x 9" x 2", therefore the perfect size for almost anything you need to bring to the party. The lids add another 2" to the height though, which I think is a bit higher than is needed. However, this means you have 4" of space to stack whatever you are bringing.

The pans come in a set of 2 and the reason I choose to buy the set (instead of just one) is because the second one ends up being great to keep my dish on ice! I bring both to the party and since they are stacked it's not a big deal to carry both pans. Then when it's time to serve, I can fill the empty pan with ice and put the other pan inside of it.

I love the Kitchen Aid Silicone baking pans. They cook in less time then your metal or glassware products. You don't need to grease the pans and you won't have to replace your pans like the metal ones. They take up less space than your other baking pans. You can fold them and they are fine. You cool them for 30 mins.and pop your cake out without having to spray Pam or grease with butter and flour. Actually if your tempted to spray your silicone pan don't you'll discolor your pan. The first time I bought one I really didn't think it would come out without sticking. I sprayed and it not only discolored it but left a sticky feel to the pan....

My wife and I had recieved a fiestware baker as a gift from some of our friends recently. I thought it was a very pretty decorative item for our kitchen but thought it would be to pretty to be a functional kitchen ware item. I was definately wrong about that ! The second night we had it she used it for one of our favorite casseroles. She made the casserole put it into our refrigerator, came home the next evening and put it into the oven and served it out of the oven. It was great and aftr dinner it cleaned up easily. I was very, very impressed with it that day. We have since used it for many other things besides casseroles,we use it for cakes, dips that have to be cooked, and even baking chicken breasts. No matter what we use if for the fiestaware cooks it well and cleans up wonderfully for the next use . I was not a believer in this item and the brand but now since we have had it and are using it I plan to buy alot of this brand not only in the cookware but the dishware and storage canister...
...

I had heard great things about silicone baking sheets and cookware. They are supposed to be a good non stick baking surface that doesn't take up much room because you can fold it to store. And it supposed to need only warm water to clean it. I found the World Cuisine baking sheet and decided to give it a try. I HATED this baking sheet. I used it to try and make cookies and it was a disaster. It was very hard to even move it from the counter to the oven without all the dough falling on the floor because it was so wobbly. I set the timer for the same amount as I always bake my cookies and when I checked them they were even close to done. Still very gooey and mushy. So I left them in the oven and checked on them a couple minutes later. They still weren't done in the middle but the bottoms were scorched! They did not bake evenly at all. And washing it with warm water? Couldn't get a thing off of it. It also didn't stay rolled up to store it either.
...

I am constantly in the kitchen and I need good quality pans that are easy to clean. I had a couple of Farberware products that were given to me as gifts so I decided to buy some of their cake pans myself. The Twin Pack of cake pans comes with two different sized pans, a normal 9x13 pan and a 9 inch square pan. They are both non stick and very easy to clean up. I don't mess up my cakes trying to get them out of the pan, and I don't even need to use any cooking spray. The 9 inch square pan is the perfect size for throwing together a box of brownies. I have used both sizes to make alot of other things than cake too, I have used the 9x13 to make a casserole when my glass dish was broken and it turned out great. They seem to run a little hot, so I do make sure and adjust my cooking temperatures and times to make sure not to burn anything. I've had these pans for 4 year now and I still love them!
...

My mother bought me the Farberware twin pack cookie pans several years ago for my birthday and I use them ALL the time. It comes with two 11x15 cookie sheets that are non stick and super easy to clean up. I bake all the time, and its great to have two different cookie pans that I can use at the same time and get more done at once. Since these cookie pans have a small lip on them, they can also be used for more than just baking cookies, I have used them to bake chicken on and the lip is just high enough to keep the juices from running off the edge. The cookie sheets are a light gray, and it doesn't seem to burn food as easily as they darker non stick metals do. However I have noticed that I sometimes have to adjust my cooking temperature to make sure things don't get overdone. I never have to use any cooking spray or oil on these, food comes off very easily without sticking. Great product!
...

jrwasko says "Just like grandma's skillet I ruined" about Lodge Cast Iron frying pan

Okay I got grandma's old cast iron but she failed to tell me don't put in in the dishwasher. Needless to say her old pan was never the same no matter how I tried to reseason the thing. I was sick because it was a great old skillet. So watching Ametica's Test Kitchen they were reviewing pre seasoned cast iron and strongly suggested the skillets from Lodge. So I went to Amazon and bought a skillet and lid. While not exactly like grandma's it was the closes I could ever remember. Once again I could make crispy homefries. Once again I could use the metal spatula and not worry about scratching the ckillet. Once again I could make the awesome crispy french toast I remember from the old skillet. While pre seasoned it does take a dozen or so times to really get the finish such that food really starts to cook great. So don't give up it take some useage but not decades like the old unseasoned cast iron you pick up for $8 at Walmart.
...

TunefulGal says "Bake individual servings with this AppleBaker Baking Dish" about Christian Ridge Pottery The Original AppleBaker Baking Dish

The Original AppleBaker Baking Dish by Christian Ridge Pottery seems like a good wedding or shower gift. At $19.95 a pair (figuring you'll need two pair), some newly wed couple can serve guests individual baked apples in the dishes they were baked in. Chances are they won't get extras of this gift! And, with minimal prep, the AppleBaker Baking Dish apples can be nuked on high for 1-1/2 to 3 minutes. Or can they?

# # # # #

Always parsimonious and on the look-out for gizmos at thrift shops, I found my first two Original AppleBakers for a dollar each, brand new. No one looking at them could figure out what they'd do and, to be honest, it took me a while to make an educated guess.

My husband, Pal, was as curious as I. We looked up the product name on the net and found some scrumptious recipes on the Christian Ridge Pottery site. Being quick'n'easy types, we decided a few minutes in the microwave beat heating up the oven and cooking the apples at 350' for 40 minutes.

teenymarie says "It really is non stick!" about Pyrex Large Loaf Pan

The Pyrex Large Loaf Pan gets a ton of use around my house. I use it to make bread, meatloaf and several other things. The non stick surface is great, it really makes it easy for the bread to slide out without getting all messed up. It also has four sided handles so its simple to find the best place to grab it and pick it up. Its got fill lines on the side so you know where to stop pouring your batter and whatnot so it won't spill over in the oven. It is a little big for some recipes, but I just make it work. At around thirteen dollars its very reasonably priced, and good value for the money. It is very durable, I have had mine for going on around five years now and it is still in great shape. Of course it has the normal wear and tear that all bakeware gets, but no major scratches or anything. I should be able to use it for alot more years, and its got a great design to it that will hold up to the trends.
...
