brandywilson says "It's cheap, and makes consistently great waffles!" about Cuisinart Round Classic Waffle Maker (WMR-CA)

We don't eat waffles everyday in my house. Actually, we have them maybe once a month or every 6 weeks. It's something that we think takes awhile to consider...

So that's why we didn't purchase a waffle maker with a million bells and whistles. This maker is your standard, trusty, consistent, and durable maker. I have only one complaint: It's hard to clean... but aren't they all hard to clean?

I would complain that it only makes one large waffle at a time, but I could've purchased one that was larger. It's not like I didn't know what I was getting. I wanted cheap, but good quality. That's exactly what I got.

It's a heavy little monster, but that makes no difference. It works well, has a red-to-green light that changes to indicated "doneness" and you've got yourself a good waffle.

I warn against being "cute" and making chocolate chip or blueberry waffles. It's a million times harder to clean. I also recommend spraying the pan (despite the non-stick) because any new appliance needs to earn...
...

wallest02 says "Delicious Waffles every time" about VillaWare V2007 Belgian Waffle Boat Maker

This waffle maker turns out perfect waffles every time if you pay attention to the beeps. It beeps when ready, and then beeps when done. However, if you miss a beep it takes a batch or two to get back on track. But, if you don't miss a beep - this is a really great waffle maker.

I especially like the waffle size - it's two long ovals with a deep ridge around the edge so you can pile your waffle high with fruits, syrups, whipped cream, and anything else you want to top your waffle with - it makes a beautiful presentation and also keeps your waffle toppings on top of the waffle until after you eat your eggs and start in on the waffle.

I have had no problems with my waffle maker - it's still going strong after about 5 years - it isn't the easiest to clean and, for that reason, we don't use it as much as i'd like. But it is attractive and a good addition to our breakfast options.

I recommend this to anyone.
...

We love our Chefmate waffle maker. Our daughter received it as a gift from her grandmother, "The Queen of Waffles" - she loves waffles but our old waffle maker was terrible and we never used it! Enter the Chefmate Waffle Maker into our lives. Easy to use; our children use it all the time! The lights (yellow and green) tell you when the iron is hot and ready to use and when you should wait! It turns out great waffles every single time. The exterior is easy to wipe clean to keep it looking good as new. The interior is non stick and wipes off with a soapy dish rag. It is not immersible - don't want to ruin it! We use the spray oil and nothing ever sticks! We have used home made mix and the ever popular box mix and they all turn out great! The locked handle makes it convenient to store and carry. We have taken it to relatives' house, upon request, so we can make the wonderful waffles for their families as well.
...

dlbeyer says "Best Waffle Maker Ever" about Waring Belgian Waffle Maker

I bought this waffle maker for my husband for Father's Day. I must admit I was really the one that wanted it, but decided it would make a great gift. I have to say this has turned out to be the best gift he has ever received.

This waffle maker is like one you would see in a hotel breakfast area. It is heavy duty and a well built machine. This is nothing flimsy about this model. First, and don't forget this step is to spray oil onto both the top and bottom of the machine. Then, you pour the batter and flip the handle to turn the waffle upside down. It has a green ready light to let you know when to start. It takes about four minutes to cook a perfect waffle. It beeps to let you know when it is done. It has a browning control so you can decide if you want a light or dark waffle. It also has a drip pan underneath to catch overflow. It also comes with a glass cup to put the batter in and show you how much to use with a fill line.

The waffles come out perfectly. They...
...

heavncentt says "Fantastic UNO waffle maker, makes great tasting waffles!" about UNO 20120

I bought this UNO waffle maker about 6 months ago and it has always worked very well for us. I bought mine from Williams Sonoma for about $100. It is extremely well made, stainless steel housing and is very heavy duty. It allows you to remove the waffle irons for easy cleaning, just remove them from each "handle bracket", hand wash with soap and water and return to the unit once dry. I have used it several times and followed the recipe in the product manual that comes with the unit and each and every time the waffles come out so tasty, fresh, and light. Out of one batch of waffles from the recipe, I can feed my husband and myself and have extras to freeze for another meal. Very frugal! I usually use a fork tine to assist in removing the hot waffle from the iron, it works very well. It has an indicator light to tell you when the iron plates are hot and ready for the next waffle, it will go on and off during cooking letting you know when the next waffle is ready to be poured.
...

I have been a full time employee and a full time student for the last two years and this product made it easy and fun to make sunday breakfast extra special for my family. When you are either working, at school, or studying, you need to make the times you have together extra special. This waffle maker made our sunday breakfasts look gourmet and taste great with minimum effort. It also makes a great easy dessert just by making a waffle with the presto waffle maker and adding your favorite ice cream. It made my moments with my family more as the waffles were easy to make, tasted great, and clean up was extremely quick and easy. This waffle maker is safe for kids to use with adult supervision. I love it and would not only recommend this product but would buy them and give them as gifts. For the 29.00 I spent on this product a couple of years ago, I have more than gotten my moneys worth. This product works well with any waffle or pancake mix so if you are in a rush, you can take this shortcut...
...

p3c says "Your good, basic waffle maker. Gets the job done." about Krups F654 waffle maker

There's only so much you can expect from a basic waffle maker, and the Krups F654 doesn't disappoint.

If you're looking for something complicated or want to make designer waffles -- if those exist -- this is not your unit. If you're looking for your basic, crispy and delicious waffles, this is all that you need.

For the price (we paid $50; technically nothing since it was purchased with a gift card), it's hard to ask for much more than this product provides. There could certainly be improvements made -- browning level options, doneness beep/sound, automated timer and the like -- but this unit will reliably give you the kind of breakfast product that you're looking for.

A few recommendations: If you're using a waffle mix, use a little less oil than required. Other than being healthier, this will cut down on the greasiness of the finished product. Also, be sure to spray down the waffle maker liberally before use. Otherwise, I can't imagine you'll have any qualms with your breakfast, as long...
...

Wow! The Waring Pro Belgian Waffle maker is the best waffle maker I have ever owned. I t is an appliance well worth the money. I received my Waring Pro Belgian Waffle maker as a Christmas present a couple years ago. I have several hungry children in the mornings and this waffle maker makes it possible to pull off a waffle breakfast in no time. It cooks fast and easy. You can adjust how dark you want the waffles, at my house we prefer level five. It cooks quite fast too. It only takes a moment to get hot enough to cook the waffles and will beep and light up when it is ready to start cooking. It for some reason flips the waffle over like when you go to a fancy restaurant for brunch. I only had to season the waffle briefly when I first got the appliance, and now cooks all waffles without sticking, even with chocolate chips or blueberries, it totally rocks! The waffle maker also is a cinch to clean up. It also comes with its own little measuring cup. I highly recommend...
...

The Black and Decker Belgian Waffle Maker is a great addition to my kitchen. My family loves breakfast. We eat breakfast for any meal. On the weekends when my family are all home we love to make a big breakfast. One of the must haves is belgian waffles. After we quickly stir up the batter we take out our Black and Decker belgian waffle maker and plug it in to heat up. It doesn't take long and it is hot and ready to go. While the kids are setting the table and pouring the juice the waffle maker is baking waffles. It only takes three minutes and there it is. The first golden brown, light and fluffy waffle. It easily comes out of the machine and while it is being buttered and readied to eat another one is baking. Each waffle comes out so nice;just the right size and ready to eat. They are also very versatile. We also use our Black and Decker waffle maker to make waffles that we top with beef stew or we cut them up and build individual strawberry shortcakes with them. ...
...

My best friend gave us an UNO waffle maker for our wedding, and we use it several times a month to make amazing waffles. The UNO waffle maker comes with changeable waffle plates, so you can make traditional thick waffles or thin, heart-shaped waffles. The UNO has heat settings from 1-6, and it has an indicator light to let you know when it's hot enough to start making the waffles. I have always put the maker on the highest heat setting because this ensures that the waffles will be cooked all the way through. The changeable plates are easy to take out and clean, and it's easy to change from traditional to heart-shaped waffles. The heart-shaped waffle plate is much thinner than the traditional waffle plate, so I would recommend this size for children. One of the best things about this waffle maker is that it beeps when the waffles are ready, so you don't have to ruin the waffle by checking on it. I do need to usually leave them in there about a minute after the beep for the...
...

I've had the Cuisinart single waffle maker for a few years now. It was a house-warming gift that I didn't expect to get a whole lot of use for. Boy was I wrong about that. I have found myself eating more waffles over the past couple years than I have the rest of my life. The main down-side to this appliance is that it only allows you to make one waffle at a time, so if you have a really big family you are making waffles or breakfast for, this would not be practical for you. I am usually making waffles for one or two, so it works out fine. I will say, if you do not eat the waffles right away, they tend to get soggy quickly. However, that could in part be because of the waffle batter I make....who knows. The Cuisinart waffle maker has a ready light that turns from red to green, alerting you that your waffle is ready. Also, you can adjust it from light to dark. I find that even the lightest setting gives the waffles a good amount of color.
...

Ever since my husband bought me a Waffle Maker it's all I cook for breakfast. He now says he tired of waffles and that he should of never bought it. What a thing to say. I am tired of waffles myself, but I would never admit it to him. Anyway, I love my waffle iron. It's real easy to clean and easy to store. I'd never used one before this. I just always had frozen waffles or I cooked pancakes in the frying pan. He says he was tired of pancakes because it was to much bread. So he buys me a Westing-House Belgium Waffle Maker. So know I cook waffles at least five times a week. I love it. I've even invited my folks over for Sunday breakfast at my house and cooked them waffles. I even bought my mom one. Guess what she hasn't even opened it up. What a waste of money. It's okay because guess who will get it back in a couple of years. She'll be cleaning out the cabinets for to long. Any how I'll tell you again, please try yourself a new waffle iron.
...

I received this waffle maker a couple of years back for Christmas. I had made waffles in the past, but I didn't have a non stick surface until this one. I liked it because it made the waffles pretty quick and they were a snap to get off of the iron. I even bought a special waffle mix to make them and my family said they probably wouldn't eat anything else from that point on. We have waffles regularly, and have said good bye to pancakes. My husband likes them because they are round. Even though it only makes two waffles at a time, the iron is pretty quick and I can have a plate of them ready in no time. the only thing I would wish for is that the irons would come out so theycould be more easily cleaned. I have to take a paper towels and get into the grooves in order to get all the old stuff out. I have noticed that since we use it so much, I do have to use a spray like Pam to keep the waffles coming off easily.
...

ravenspinner says "Perfect heavy duty device for classic waffles." about VillaWare Classic Waffle Maker

There is a lot to say about the Villaware Classic Waffle Maker. Ours was made exclusively for William-Sonoma and while I initially cringed at the $60 price it's been worth it.

We've been using it for nearly every weekend for 3 years now and the nonstick surface has held up beautifully.

Getting Started: The alert sound and light lets you know when it's ready to use and with an adjustment of the browning control you are well underway to making the perfect waffle. Generally we give it a light spray over the non-stick before the first waffle is made and they always easily come out everytime afterwards. While the browning control goes up to 7 we usually don't go beyond a 3 and when the loud and crisp ready beep sounds you can leave it in a little longer for crisper waffles.

Clean up: We almost always have some spillage but even the outside cleans wonderfully with a little soap and water. I've never owned one that cleaned up so well after each use.

When this model needs replacement we'll...
...

ApriBambino says "Nothing better than homemade waffles, this does the trick !" about Cuisinart Cuisinart 6-Slice Traditional Waffle Iron

Cuisinart 6-Slice Traditional Waffle Iron

I like to consider myself a foodie and do enjoy making, eating and creating all kinds of meals for my family. I love using gadgets like grills, mixers and waffle irons. We got this one as a gift and I've loved it from the start.

The Cuisinart 6-Slice Waffle Iron is easy to use as long as you follow directions and prep the non stick surface properly, it's best to brush on some butter all around into the crevices rather than letting a chunk of butter just melt in one spot. This helps the waffle mixture spread better and release easier without leaving any behind. also, don't overload the wells as you will be in a drippy mess and only have to clean it up as you go, not fun!

The great thing about this is Instead of making one or two waffles at a time you get six so you don't spend half your time cooking them while your family sits and eats them. The scent of freshly baked waffles is so enticing on a lazy Sunday morning that they're impossible...
...

qpnbb says "yummy belgian waffles" about Black & Decker black & decker belgian wafle maker

I have eaten a real belgian waffle and if you are craving for one, i suggest buy this black & decker belgian waffle maker. the waffles you will make from this is like the real thing!

this is non-stick, it has a ready light signal so you will now when the waffle is done. the handles are heat resistant, and it stands upright so it doesnt take up much space when you store it.

before using the black and decker wafle maker, you will have to condition it first. heat up the waffle maker until the ready light goes out then rub the nonstick surface with cooking oil and remove any excess with a paper towel. this is important so that the waffles will not stick to the waffle maker.

after using the black and decker waffle maker, let it cool down. then you can start cleaning. just wipe it with a damp cloth or sponge. do not use any chemicals or abrasive cleaning materials such as steel wools because you will damage the non stick coating.

if you are fond of eating waffles, it is better to make...
...

clydetran says "The perfect waffle maker" about Bella Rotating Belgian Wafflel Maker, Model S662

My husband and I ate at a motel 'do it yourself breakfast' and used the rotating waffle maker. We were hooked.

This waffle maker has a non-stick surface, so guess what: waffles do not stick. It is easy to operate, and has even heating. Our grandson loves to turn the maker when the light says it is ready to be turned. You have to do a couple of 'tests' to determine how thick you want your waffle, and also how crispy you prefer it. There is also a ready light, signaling it is done. The control knob makes your waffle from light to dark.

The picture used for the Bella Cucina looks just like mine, even down to the food in the picture, but mine does not say Cucina anywhere on the machine or in the book. Also a different model number.

I like the 'drip pan' underneath, to catch any drippings that may occur. This is a durable machine, with very easy clean-up. For those new to waffle makers, do not submerge the entire machine in water or put in the dishwasher. Use plastic (designed for heat) or...
...
