I get out my Proctor-Silex Belgian Waffle Maker on mornings when I want to give some extra TLC to my favorite houseguests. I've had it for years and years, and it makes waffle-making easy. The batter recipes it came with have been very good, but the others I have used with it have been great too. It heats up quickly, cooks quickly, and cleans SO easily-the batter wipes off so smoothly that it looks like its been carefully cleaned, when it was simply just a quick wipe. The waffle it makes is large enough to be cut into four quarters, for those who want smaller portion. When I get out my P-S waffle maker, everyone knows its going to be a special breakfast-the real maple syrup, whip cream, and fresh fruit is there to compliment. If I open a B&B one day, I'll be looking for te Proctor-Silex Belgian Waffle Maker to add to my small kitchen appliances. Then again, the one I have now may still be in my possession and still going strong!
...

peach512 says "A total waste of money!" about Black & Decker Belgian Waffle Maker

I had wanted a Belgian Waffle maker for some time. When we travel, we like to stay at Residence Inn properties, and I get to have wonderful Belgian waffles - MMM. And they always come out so perfect! Well, I asked for one a couple years back for Christmas, and yes, it was under the tree. I was so excited. And when I tried to use it ,the batter kept sticking to the grids. So, that was a total waste of money. And let me tell you, these things are far from inexpensive. We researched all the consumer reports, and found a couple that were highly rated. Earlier this year, I found a Black and Decker Belgian Waffle maker (rated right up there) for a great sale price, and I figured "What the heck. It is Black and Decker after all. Everything I have ever put in my kitchen from Black and Decker has surpassed my expectations. So, off to the store I went with my sale ad in hand. I could not wait to make waffles. There was a very modest recipe book that came with it, so I decided to be creative. And...
...

debbilet says "This appliances helps me satisfy my picky eater." about Cuisinart Classic Waffle Maker

Waffles are a family favorite in our household. My 6-year-old son is a super picky eater, and waffles are one of the few foods he regularly requests--usually for dinner! I had an old, beat up waffle maker I'd gotten at a garage sale years ago that met our needs for quite a while. But last Christmas, we finally decided it was time to treat ourselves to a new appliance. I put a waffle maker on our Christmas list, and my mother gave us one. Our maiden voyage with that appliance quickly showed us it was not up to the task. It took forever to produce pale, limp waffles. So we went on a quest to find a waffle maker worthy of our kitchen. We decided what we needed was more wattage to produce the crisp, brown waffles we love. We found the 1000-watt Cuisinart Classic Waffle Maker at Bed, Bath, & Beyond. It was reasonably priced at $29.99, and it definitely does the job. I like the adjustable heat setting and the ready light, which tells you when you waffle is baked to perfection....
...

I got my Crofton Rotating Belgian Waffle Maker from Aldi's and I used it the same night that I got it and it worked pretty good. The clean up was outstanding, the plates were already non-stick so I just sprayed on a little cooking spray just in case and the waffles came sliding right out nothing nothing sticked. And once I was finished all I had to do was wipe it out with a dish towel, how easy was that! The only thing that I would say that I wasn't too happy about about this waffle maker was the fact that there was no instructions or table that gave me some kind of example on how long I was to set the timer for the waffles, so I had to guess. I also didn't like the fact that because the lack of instructions when the ready light did come on I had the waffles were not cook enough, they were not crispy or brown. I had to keep checking it and turning it back on. Also the only part that got really cripsy almost burnt was the little holes in the middle. Other than those things if your looking...
...

I purchased this as a christmas gift for my 14 year old daughter at the time, she requested it. I can not tell you how much fun we had when she opened it and made waffles for dinner. It is very easy to use, non stick, reciepe's inclded, it has a drip tray and a light on it that tells you when it's done. It also can turn over. We have had numerous breakfasts, lunches and dinners using this waffle maker. It uses regular pancake mix, which I have found better to use then the waffle mix, they just taste better....

I love this waffle maker as it it so easy to make great waffles fast and is a snap to clean up because it is non-stick. I have cooked over 40 waffles on this machine since I bought it two months ago, including fruit waffles and whole fiber, chocolate chip, and also an ice cream waffle cone. I only need one but I am tired of buying frozen toaster waffles that sit in my freezer for weeks at a time. My grand-children love the ice cream waffle cones, (scoop of ice cream on top of waffles). Wife likes the praline waffles and I like the chocolate chip waffles.

Easy to set up and easy to clean if you follow directions. I am not sure what a Belgian waffle is but I am willing to try that too.
...

aelaine says "Great waffles, lots of cleaning" about Toastmaster Waffle Maker

The Toastmaster 2 Waffle Maker make wonderful waffles. You can make two waffles at a time. First you need to warm the maker about 5-10 minutes. You need to spray with non-stick spray. Make sure you put enough spray on, if not the waffles will stick. Then pour a little (about 1/2 cup each side) batter into the maker. You then close and lock. Now you let the waffles cook until the green light comes on indicating that the waffles are done. It takes about 10 minutes for them to be done, depending on what type you are making. Waffles come out great. The bad part is cleaning the maker, especially the edges. Waffle mix gets in between the cracks and edges and makes it really hard to clean. You cannot stick the maker into a dishwasher because of the electrical cord. It takes me about 30-45 minutes just to clean the waffle maker. The maker does come with a recipe book on ideas on how to make a variety of waffles.
...

brandywilson says "It's cheap, and makes consistently great waffles!" about Cuisinart Round Classic Waffle Maker (WMR-CA)

We don't eat waffles everyday in my house. Actually, we have them maybe once a month or every 6 weeks. It's something that we think takes awhile to consider...

So that's why we didn't purchase a waffle maker with a million bells and whistles. This maker is your standard, trusty, consistent, and durable maker. I have only one complaint: It's hard to clean... but aren't they all hard to clean?

I would complain that it only makes one large waffle at a time, but I could've purchased one that was larger. It's not like I didn't know what I was getting. I wanted cheap, but good quality. That's exactly what I got.

It's a heavy little monster, but that makes no difference. It works well, has a red-to-green light that changes to indicated "doneness" and you've got yourself a good waffle.

I warn against being "cute" and making chocolate chip or blueberry waffles. It's a million times harder to clean. I also recommend spraying the pan (despite the non-stick) because any new appliance needs to earn...
...

wallest02 says "Delicious Waffles every time" about VillaWare V2007 Belgian Waffle Boat Maker

This waffle maker turns out perfect waffles every time if you pay attention to the beeps. It beeps when ready, and then beeps when done. However, if you miss a beep it takes a batch or two to get back on track. But, if you don't miss a beep - this is a really great waffle maker.

I especially like the waffle size - it's two long ovals with a deep ridge around the edge so you can pile your waffle high with fruits, syrups, whipped cream, and anything else you want to top your waffle with - it makes a beautiful presentation and also keeps your waffle toppings on top of the waffle until after you eat your eggs and start in on the waffle.

I have had no problems with my waffle maker - it's still going strong after about 5 years - it isn't the easiest to clean and, for that reason, we don't use it as much as i'd like. But it is attractive and a good addition to our breakfast options.

I recommend this to anyone.
...

I bought this waffle maker for my husband for Father's Day. I must admit I was really the one that wanted it, but decided it would make a great gift. I have to say this has turned out to be the best gift he has ever received.

This waffle maker is like one you would see in a hotel breakfast area. It is heavy duty and a well built machine. This is nothing flimsy about this model. First, and don't forget this step is to spray oil onto both the top and bottom of the machine. Then, you pour the batter and flip the handle to turn the waffle upside down. It has a green ready light to let you know when to start. It takes about four minutes to cook a perfect waffle. It beeps to let you know when it is done. It has a browning control so you can decide if you want a light or dark waffle. It also has a drip pan underneath to catch overflow. It also comes with a glass cup to put the batter in and show you how much to use with a fill line.

I bought this UNO waffle maker about 6 months ago and it has always worked very well for us. I bought mine from Williams Sonoma for about $100. It is extremely well made, stainless steel housing and is very heavy duty. It allows you to remove the waffle irons for easy cleaning, just remove them from each "handle bracket", hand wash with soap and water and return to the unit once dry. I have used it several times and followed the recipe in the product manual that comes with the unit and each and every time the waffles come out so tasty, fresh, and light. Out of one batch of waffles from the recipe, I can feed my husband and myself and have extras to freeze for another meal. Very frugal! I usually use a fork tine to assist in removing the hot waffle from the iron, it works very well. It has an indicator light to tell you when the iron plates are hot and ready for the next waffle, it will go on and off during cooking letting you know when the next waffle is ready to be poured.
...

When you are either working, at school, or studying, you need to make the times you have together extra special. This waffle maker made our sunday breakfasts look gourmet and taste great with minimum effort. It also makes a great easy dessert just by making a waffle with the presto waffle maker and adding your favorite ice cream. It made my moments with my family more as the waffles were easy to make, tasted great, and clean up was extremely quick and easy. This waffle maker is safe for kids to use with adult supervision. I love it and would not only recommend this product but would buy them and give them as gifts. For the 29.00 I spent on this product a couple of years ago, I have more than gotten my moneys worth.

There's only so much you can expect from a basic waffle maker, and the Krups F654 doesn't disappoint.

If you're looking for something complicated or want to make designer waffles -- if those exist -- this is not your unit. If you're looking for your basic, crispy and delicious waffles, this is all that you need.

For the price (we paid $50; technically nothing since it was purchased with a gift card), it's hard to ask for much more than this product provides. There could certainly be improvements made -- browning level options, doneness beep/sound, automated timer and the like -- but this unit will reliably give you the kind of breakfast product that you're looking for.

A few recommendations: If you're using a waffle mix, use a little less oil than required. Other than being healthier, this will cut down on the greasiness of the finished product. Also, be sure to spray down the waffle maker liberally before use. Otherwise, I can't imagine you'll have any qualms with your breakfast, as long...
...

The Black and Decker Belgian Waffle Maker is a great addition to my kitchen. My family loves breakfast. We eat breakfast for any meal. On the weekends when my family are all home we love to make a big breakfast. One of the must haves is belgian waffles. After we quickly stir up the batter we take out our Black and Decker belgian waffle maker and plug it in to heat up. It doesn't take long and it is hot and ready to go. While the kids are setting the table and pouring the juice the waffle maker is baking waffles. It only takes three minutes and there it is. The first golden brown, light and fluffy waffle. It easily comes out of the machine and while it is being buttered and readied to eat another one is baking. Each waffle comes out so nice;just the right size and ready to eat. They are also very versatile. We also use our Black and Decker waffle maker to make waffles that we top with beef stew or we cut them up and build individual strawberry shortcakes with them. ...
...

stephanierosenhahn says "Perfect Waffles Every Time" about UNO Waffle Maker

My best friend gave us an UNO waffle maker for our wedding, and we use it several times a month to make amazing waffles. The UNO waffle maker comes with changeable waffle plates, so you can make traditional thick waffles or thin, heart-shaped waffles. The UNO has heat settings from 1-6, and it has an indicator light to let you know when it's hot enough to start making the waffles. I have always put the maker on the highest heat setting because this ensures that the waffles will be cooked all the way through. The changeable plates are easy to take out and clean, and it's easy to change from traditional to heart-shaped waffles. The heart-shaped waffle plate is much thinner than the traditional waffle plate, so I would recommend this size for children. One of the best things about this waffle maker is that it beeps when the waffles are ready, so you don't have to ruin the waffle by checking on it. I do need to usually leave them in there about a minute after the beep for the...
...

bg20087 says "Very easy to use" about Cuisinart single waffle maker

I've had the Cuisinart single waffle maker for a few years now. It was a house-warming gift that I didn't expect to get a whole lot of use for. Boy was I wrong about that. I have found myself eating more waffles over the past couple years than I have the rest of my life. The main down-side to this appliance is that it only allows you to make one waffle at a time, so if you have a really big family you are making waffles or breakfast for, this would not be practical for you. I am usually making waffles for one or two, so it works out fine. I will say, if you do not eat the waffles right away, they tend to get soggy quickly. However, that could in part be because of the waffle batter I make....who knows. The Cuisinart waffle maker has a ready light that turns from red to green, alerting you that your waffle is ready. Also, you can adjust it from light to dark. I find that even the lightest setting gives the waffles a good amount of color.
...

Renee-33 says "I like my Waffle Maker" about Westing House Belgium House Waffle Maker

Ever since my husband bought me a Waffle Maker it's all I cook for breakfast. He now says he tired of waffles and that he should of never bought it. What a thing to say. I am tired of waffles myself, but I would never admit it to him. Anyway, I love my waffle iron. It's real easy to clean and easy to store. I'd never used one before this. I just always had frozen waffles or I cooked pancakes in the frying pan. He says he was tired of pancakes because it was to much bread. So he buys me a Westing-House Belgium Waffle Maker. So know I cook waffles at least five times a week. I love it. I've even invited my folks over for Sunday breakfast at my house and cooked them waffles. I even bought my mom one. Guess what she hasn't even opened it up. What a waste of money. It's okay because guess who will get it back in a couple of years. She'll be cleaning out the cabinets for to long. Any how I'll tell you again, please try yourself a new waffle iron.
...
