I was willing to pay more for this toaster because it was highly reviewed when I purchased it. It holds adjust to fit bread, bagels, frozen waffles, whatever you ned to toast. It has a bagel button and reheat feature which was appealing. Unfortunately, it toast darker on one side then the other (without the begal button pushed). It takes longer to toast then my previous cheaper toaster. It is very large as well - takes up too much counter space. Not recommended. Too much for the average quality.

A toaster is one of those things that I absolutely must have in a kitchen, they are so versatile and I can quickly throw together something from a snack to a sandwich with the right equipment. Unfortunately the Cuisinart CPT-120 Cast Metal 2-Slice Toaster isn't the "right stuff."

While the Cuisinart CPT-120 Cast Metal 2-Slice Toaster has some nice features, like settings from 1-9, a cancel button, reheat, defrost and toast as well extra extra wide openings for bagels to toast those features and the $30.00 price tag don't outweigh the bad.

First, it is very easy to burn your toast or other food items with the Cuisinart CPT-120 Cast Metal 2-Slice Toaster. You really only need a setting of about 2 or 3 to toast properly but with this one the dial is easily moved accidentally ending up with a very dark 9 and food that you need to throw away.

Next, while the sides get only slightly warm getting to close to the top of the toaster while removing food and you will get burned.

I needed a basic, no frills, inexpensive toaster. I found this Sunbeam two slice toaster for a reasonable price, and I'd had good experience with Sunbeam products in the past so I thought it would be a good purchase. The toaster was fine, nothing great or remarkable but it did the job. The bread comes out higher on top than most toasters, so it was nice to be able to take your bread, bagels, whatever out without burning yourself. The outside was supposed to be "cool touch", I don't know if I would go that far but it didn't get hot enough to actually burn me. After only a couple months of using it a couple times a week, it started to have that faint burning smell that alot of old small appliances get right before they quit working. So I was not surprised at all when it just quit getting hot and making toast. It was an inexpensive toaster but I still thought it would have lasted more than eight weeks.

I am totally in love with this product. The boiled eggs are just right, if you have family members that each like a different style of boiled egg this is for you. I even made an egg muffin sandwich perfectly the first time. This product is so just a part of my dalily life that i wonder how I survived before having it with me in the kitchen. I can just not imagine anymore without this appliance, it makes life so much easier adn convenient. There are endless recipes that one can try with this product rather than having those boring breakfasts of hard boiled eggs every morning. Like many people I used to have a toaster oven. However, last Spring that changed. Why? Because I had purchased what I thought was a great brand in an expensive department store, only to have it break in less than a year, and since that toaster oven was the replacement toaster oven for less expensive one the year before, I had to say THAT'S IT!

So I began my search for the perfect toaster. After reviewing and looking at all the toasters and toaster ovens available to me, I finally decided to pay the extra money and buy a Kitchen Aid 2 slice toaster. The Kitchen Aid Toaster is by far the best product I have found in some time. It's sensors actually work and you get your toast exactly where you set the dial. My toaster, the GE 4-slice bagel toaster, is a great little toaster. We've owned it for a couple of years and we use it regularly for bagels, English muffins, toast, waffles, pancakes, pop tarts etc. The defrost button allows frozen food, such as the waffles, to thaw while cooking and come out crisp, hot and delicious. The crumb trays are easy to clean and keeps the counter tops free of crumbs. We use the reheat option for heating up leftover pancakes. And of course it's perfect for bagels. I have yet to get a bagel stuck in the wide slots and they always come out perfectly brown and toasted.

However, there is a problem with my toaster. I have been recently clued in that the CPSC has recalled my particular toaster due to fire and shock hazards. That bums me out. For safety concerns, I will have to look into this matter further, so at this time I would not recommend buying or using this product.

The toaster is cost efficient. It is suitable for everyday use. I have been using mine for the last three years. There is a crumbs plate at the bottom of the toaster which collects all the toast crumbs. I just unplug the toaster and remove the crumb plate and clean it. You can also toast frozen waffles which comes out really well. There are three settings on the toaster which has led lights. One is to cancel , the other for toasting frozen stuff generally waffles or frozen pancakes and the other one are for bagels. However the toast slots are not that big and hence if you buy breads from the bakery which are generally large in size than the standard ones, you might have a problem inserting the entire bread fully into the toaster.

Overall the black and decker toaster is a great addition to a kitchen and is suitable for practical everyday use. Its operations is not at all complicated. I have the black one and it perfectly matches the decor of my kitchen given that is all in white

Our toaster eventually decide to meet its maker in the sky when the wiring started to melt (yeah, not a good sign). That only meant it was time to get a new toaster as a result. I started to browse around online to see what new toasters would make a great addition for the household and something that was useful for us. That's when I saw the Hamilton Beach Toaster and decided it was what we needed.

The Hamilton Beach Toaster is a two-for-one deal: It's sometimes a toaster and sometimes an oven. The 10"x17"x10" frame fits nicely on any countertop without taking much room making it a great space-saving unit. It stands upright like a toaster, but it also has a door and a rack to place items in the oven. I like the brushed silver finish with black front panel. It makes it feel like a modern appliance for the kitchen and plugs in nicely into the wall.

I'm one of those people who don't like to spend a lot on small kitchen appliances. I could think of a million other ways I'd like to spend that money.Plus we probably use the toaster twice a month. Then it goes back into the cabinet. So when I buy those types of things I buy cheap. Unfortunately sometimes it doesn't work to my advantage.

The Durabrand 2 slice toaster was a bargain at $10. It has the basic functions of any toster.There are five settings and there is a setting that will stop the toasting. And when it's finished it pops your food up.

Now the bad things about the Durabrand 2 slice toaster. When the toaster ejects whatever food you have in there it only pops up most of the way. Then you have to manually move the button to push it up. The cord is too short. It's only about 12 inches so you have a limited space to put it in. Another issue is the crumb tray. The only way to access it is from the bottom. It makes a mess.

Probably the worst thing of all is this toaster is a safety...

I usually stick with Kitchaid and other brands for my kitchen supplies, but I heard from a friend that this toaster was nice and it was definitley worth it for the price, so I decided to give it a try. I love that its custom controlled and the look of it fits nicely with that of my other kitchen appliances. It has a stainless steel crumb tray that you can use in the dishwasher or sink, whichever you prefer. That alone is a very nice feature. It is very simple to use. You can adjust the lightness or darkness that you would like your bread to come out as. My only complaint is that Cuisinart does not produce a 4-slice toaster in the Custon Control Touch CPT-60 make. And if they do, I have yet to come across one. My fiance and I are bread-eaters and we definitley use more than 2 slices of toast per serving so it would be nice to be able to have the convience of a 4-slice toaster. Other than that, it is definitley a good investment.

i love my hello kitty toaster ! i love hello kitty and i was so happy to find this toaster. i was going to buy a new toaster sometime later but when i found this one i new i had to get it right away ! its so cute and it works really good , it can defrost , reheat , and can also toast bagels too . it stays cool to the touch so you dont have to worry about getting burnt , it has 7 different browing shade settings . it has a cute little hello kitty face print after its been toasted. it has a 3D hello kitty face , with led indicators on the front . also a cancel button that ends toasting cycle and resets to previous settings. it was very afforadable and is durrable not one of those cheapy toasters that break down or over heat to quickly. i would definately reccomand this t oaster to anyone who is a hello kitty fan or just a fan of toast ! its really a great toaster i love it !

I put the Black and Decker Toaster/Toaster Oven on my Christmas list last year. It was the best gift I got, because I definitely use it every single day. I had a perfectly good toaster oven and a perfectly good toaster, but I have limited counter space. I eliminated two appliances and replaced them with the compact, good-looking Black and Decker Toaster/Toaster Oven.

I use it in the morning for my English Muffin or Bagel and then again in the evening for small dinner entrees. I'm only cooking for one and there is no need to turn on the oven.

The toaster on top is large enough to accommodate large bagels. The clear glass door makes it possible to watch the toasting process so there is no more burnt toast.

Although this appliance uses less counter space than the toaster oven I used to have, the inside oven part is the same size. The metal tray fits in both.

The exterior is easy to keep clean and doesn't show finger prints or greasy kitchen residue.

My grandmother gave me this toaster a few years ago. Its very tall about 7 inches and I would say about 4.5 inches wide. It has 2 slots for toast on the top, very large slots nice sized. Its white with gray accents on it. A nice big gray handle thingy on the front to pop up your toast and set them down in. It has a knob on the left hand side with 7 different toast settings for light to dark and 3 buttons on the left side that you can push in for features, first one is Cancel, next one is Bagel, and the final one is Frozen. You can take frozen things and place them inside this toaster and click frozen and set your knob to desired color (burnt or lightly cooked) and just wait a few minutes and Poof its done and does not burn or smoke. I haven't ever had a problem with mine. It's easy to clean due to the big openings on top and easy to wipe the outside surface too. It looks like it cost a lot of money which I like since I only paid about 30 bucks for mine and my toast and bagels always come...

I saw this at a friend's place over New Year's and as soon as I tried it out I knew I had to get my hands on one... we have had 2 of these now, and we love them but they do not last very long at all. But my daughter and I have each used it at least twice a week for two years now.

The egg portion no longer works on our second one. We have had 2 of these die in less than 3 years.

Maybe if they were made in America, they would cost more, but I doubt very seriously that you would have to throw one in the trash every year or two. Plus american made is always the better way to go!

Nowwadays.. you have to buy extended warranties on everything just because they are made in the third world with cheap labor.. and they still charge a lot.. and then get extra money form people for the wwarranties. It owuld be nice if we had the appliances of old.. when you could count on them! Hope this review helps with your decision.

Hamilton Beach SmartToast 4-Slice Toaster

We've gone through at least 5 toasters over the last few years so first off let me say that the prices they charge for toasters is rediculous. This is not rocket science people, it's a (mostly) simple box to make bread warm and toasty for heavens' sake. All we want is a toaster that doesn't stop working after 6 months or less, pops the toast up when it's done, doesn't burn it to oblivion and looks half decent on the counter in the process, is this too much to ask?

Alright so I'll stop complaining for a while and tell you that so far this Hamilton Beach SmartToast 4-Slice Toaster is holding up pretty well. It does pop the toast up rather briskly but at least it pops up lol. It has four nice wide 1.5 inch slots to accomodate thicker bread slices, bagels or pastry tarts. It heats and toasts evenly ON BOTH SIDES and has separate dial features on the front so you can control how you like your bread done. It has a reset / cancel button should something...
