The KitchenAid mixer may be a little pricey but if you do a lot of baking, it is well worth the money. I use mine almost everyday. It mixes the batters without splattering tthem all over the wall. I have a splatter guard that came with my mixer. My breads and cakes seem to come out better when I use the KitchenAid stand mixer. I have a hand held mixer but it is only good for small quick things. I bake for my family and friends and it has been a life saver because I can actually multitask while using this mixer and as a busy grandmother I need this. I have never had any problems with the mixer. I would recommend this to friends and family without hesitation. My daughters and my son liked mine so much that they bought a KitchenAid stand mixer. My son is a good cook. He is always wanting to make something just so he can use his mixer. This is a good buy and will last a long time. It will probably be the last mixer I ever buy
...

I have had my stand mixer for over 10 years now. It has been my trusty compainion in the kitchen. It sits on my counter all the time ready to go. I started out using it only for cookies, and tough batters. NOW I use it for so much more. We have started getting the many attachments to go on our mixer. We have the pasta maker...love it! Making our own fresh pasta is not only money saving it is also fun to play around with many other different flavors. We have also purchased the grinder to grind up different food items, cheese, bread for crumbs, meat. I have been able to make our own hamburger with cheeper cuts of beef. The fruit and vegetable strainer is another that we use all the time. During canning season I pop on the food strainer and can make tomato sauce and apple sauce in a fraction of the time. But just make sure you purchase the grinder AND the strainer, you can not use the strainer without the grinder attachment.
...

somedayilllearn says "I don't know how I would survive without my KitchenAid!" about KitchenAid Professional 5 Plus Series

I don't know how I would survive without my KitchenAid! I make so much bread with this (my Bread Maker is history - I prefer being able to knead it with the KitchenAid, watch it rise, and then bake it in the oven). And you can add attachments to make pasta from SCRATCH and even grind your own chicken, turkey, and beef - which saves a fortune if you buy meat in bulk and grind it yourself as opposed to buying pre-made patties. KitchenAids last FOREVER so this may seem pricey, but it's more than worth the investment. My first KitchenAid was actually handed down after it had been used by both my grandmother and mother. This is usually big enough to make any recipe for my family of 4 - and often big enough for me to double the recipe and freeze half as well. It even has a special, really slow setting to help you out when you're just beginning to stir together ingredients, so there's no chance of splashing.
...

After years of balancing my mixer on the edge of a bowl (still running) while I tried to grab ingredients for whatever I was making, my husband gifted me with a six-speed, heavy-duty KitchenAid Ultra Power standing mixer. You can put ingredients in it, then walk away and get whatever else you need without having to balance the mixer on the edge of your bowl! It has a great paddle attachment that I use to make homemade bread (no more bending my spoons trying to stir bread dough).

One disadvantage to this standing mixer is that, being heavy-duty, it is of course very heavy and is difficult to lift in and out of cabinets, so it is best left on the countertop. My countertop space is limited, but I have gladly made space for this mixer.

Another disadvantage to the heavy-duty mixer is that you cannot make small recipes in it; the bowl is deep, which is great for reducing spills and keeping clouds of flour from flying around as you add it to your recipe, but if you are making (for instance)...
...

Oh how I love this thing!!! It's so beautiful!! Goes beyond it's beauty though, it works beautifully & I still get excited when I have to use it! I bought mine second hand but feel it is worth every penny. I have purchased two sets of attachments to go with it so far - the food & meat grinder attachment - we had purchased a very large piece of meat (ribeye) and since it was late at the grocery store their meat dept wasn't able to cut it for us so my husband came home & cut it. The left over scrap pieces he ended up grinding up & making THE BEST burgers out of!!! Beautiful flavor, oh so yummy! The second attachment that we bought was a Grain Mill...we're trying to eat less processed foods & plan to use this attachment to mill our own flour to make our own bread products fresh & without as many preservatives.

I actually have a list of attachments I would like to have - the ravioli maker, the juicer, the applesauce maker, the spaghetti maker - both of them & I'm sure there...
...

kjahewitt says "KitchenAid mixers are well worth the price" about KitchenAid Artisan Series 5-Quart Mixer

I do not know how I lived before I had my KitchenAid mixer! I might be exaggerating a little, but it seriously is the single-most important tool in my kitchen. I cook and bake very frequently, and it makes the process so much easier and faster. I love that if I have to beat something for a long time, I can just turn it on and let it go while I measure other ingredients. It makes whipping cream or beating egg whites so much easier.

My favorite thing to use it for is kneading bread. I mix the yeast, water, salt, and some of the flour together with the regular beater attachment. Then, I switch to the dough hook and add the rest of the flour. It basically does all of the work for you. And I have not been able to tell a difference in the quality of the bread versus kneading by hand.

My only complaint about the mixer is that it is difficult to pour things into the bowl. It comes with a plastic pouring attachment, but I haven't figured out how to attach that securely. I still seem to always make...
...

We have had the bullet for over two years and just love it!! We quit using our brand new blender because the bullet does a way better job. We make salad dressing with it, milkshakes, sorbet, smoothies, and lots lots more.

Pros: Quick, easy, easy clean up, can drink out of the same container you just mixed in, blends very well, and everything can go into the dishwasher.

Cons: Loud, can't handle chocolate chips well (but if you stick it outside for a few minutes it will eventually chop it up fairly good), lots of pieces. It really could have come without all of the different color rims and so many cups but for some that may be a really good feature. For us, we normally just use one or two at a time.

I would highly recommmend this product to anyone needing a good mini blender, I haven't found a need for the regular blender since we got this. It would be great for college students and people in apartments also since it's small but really? who can't use smaller kitchen items...
...

christinelalama says "My pink KitchenAid mixer is the best appliance I ever bought!" about KitchenAid Stand Mixer - Artisan

KitchenAid Mixers are handy for much more than just mixing homemade icing or whipping up a batter. I bought the pink one, first because I love pink and second, because KitchenAid made a $50 donation to the Susan G. Komen Foundation. Mine came with 3 attachments. A wire whisk, a dough hook and a flat mixer. The great thing about this appliance is that KitchenAid makes several different attachments for these mixers. There are ice cream makers, ravioli makers, meat grinders, and many more. The first thing I made with mine was homemade icing for cake. It was so easy! So I really decided to depend on it more with other recipes as well. I tried the dough hook out on my homemade pizza dough. Amazing. No kneading necessary, it's ready so quickly and you can pump out several batches in a fraction of the time it would take the regular way. I also use it for meatballs, meatloaf, mashed potatoes, and anything else I need to mix. I highlly recommend this product!
...

I received this KitchenAid stand mixer for my wedding shower last year. This was by far my favorite and most useful gift I received since getting married. I use it almost daily. I love trying out new recipes with this mixer. It really has made cooking and baking more fun. Coming home from work late on weekday nights this mixer helped me save time when preparing meals. Since it is a stand mixer I have my hands free to prepare other items while the mixer is mixing. I have never made fresh pasta, but I always wanted to. This mixer helped me make fresh pasta and it was so simple to use. MY husband loves all I have the food and baked goods I have made with this mixer. It is very durable and easy to use. Cleaning the KitchenAid mixer is also very simple. All of the attachments come off very easily and wash off very quickly. I also love being able to pick out the color of the mixer to match the rest of my kitchen appliances.
...

I have the best friends in the world.

For my birthday, a bunch of them pitched in and bought me the KitchenAid Stand Mixer of My Dreams. The friend who spearheaded the effort heard me say that, if I were getting married, the first thing I'd register for would be this mixer. In fact, I kinda wanted to get married just so that I could register for it. She decided that I shouldn't have to wait.

I put that baby to work as soon as I got it home. I baked five different kinds of cookies to give out as thank-yous to all the people who pitched in for my mixer.

It was everything I dreamed it would be. The cookies got done in about half the time they would normally take because, while things were mixing, I was able to gather ingredients and measure for the next batch of dough. I didn't have to stand over the bowl with the hand mixer. Time saved! I love it!

And don't even get me started on how fast it whips cream.

The KitchenAid Pro stand mixer is a solid kitchen investment. I would highly recommend...
...

My husband purchased this mixer for me a few years ago. At the time, I balked at the price! But he assured me it was worth it. He was so right! I've used this almost daily ever since! I use it for everything you could imagine...from mixing baked goods, to mixing meatloaf, to kneading bread dough, to making meringues and whipped cream. I use it so often, the only thing I requested for Christmas last year was another bowl to go with the mixer. I use it THAT much. There is hardly anything you CAN'T do with this mixer. The only downside is that it can sometimes be hard putting the ingredients in the bowl because of the way the stand is designed. I do not have the bowl that drops down. I also noticed that the bread dough occasionally makes the mixer "dance" on the counter, but I realized I had to lock it down before I mixed. That settled the issue. Other than that, I have no complaints with this mixer. I've had it now for three years with almost daily use, and it's still going strong!
...

I have wanted one for as long as I can remember. It is the very first thing I registered for when my husband I got engaged, but unfortunately I received nearly everything on my list except it (of course!) About a year ago, my husband finally got all my hints and was kind enough to buy it for me, and I have been a happy girl ever since. It truly is as useful as I always thought it would be. The thing I appreciate the most about it is that I can turn it on, start adding ingredients to the mixing bowl as it is slowly mixing, and by the time I finally get everything in the bowl, it is properly mixed and ready to pour in the pan. There is no sore arm from the hand mixer, no mixer arm coming off in your bowl every time you use your mixer (that happened to me every time!) and no motor running out after a few years of use. This thing is built to last, and I plan to use it until it literally can no longer turn an inch!
...

Everyone know that KitchenAid stands for quality and when you buy a KitchenAid mixer that is just what you will get!

This mixer is great for being able to get things whipped up while you are preparing other ingredients or just taking a break from it all!

I have had a KitchenAid mixer for 12 years now and I LOVE it. It is very high quality. The mixer has several speeds and a locking mode so that the beater will stay down in the bowl while you are whipping up your culinary masterpiece.

Durable, easy to clean up, reliable and sure to go the extra mile in quality...these mixers shoudl be a staple in everyone's homes.

This mixer can withstand large, hard to mix ingredients and blend them together with the greatest of ease.

When you are done with it, you just unlock the beater, lift the arm up and remove the bowl. The bowl is very strong with a handle that is easy to hold onto.

I love my Kitchen Aid mixer. When baking from scratch I always pull it out, even though it is a bit heavy to do so. It is well worth the effort as it saves time while baking by leaving your hands free to do other tasks. You can whip egg whites while you measure out ingredients, grease the cake pan or even tidy up as you bake. The mixer is perfect for mixing light or heavy batters. The motor is heavy duty and the mixer has never failed me yet, even one Christmas when my friend and I decided to make a triple batch of biscotti. That was a very heavy batter and the Kitchen Aid mixer worked effortlessly. The mixer is very stable on the kitchen counter and it is easy to remove the mixer attachments and bowl. Mine is white but there are a variety of colors to choose from. There are many attachments for the mixer including a special bowl for making ice cream, pasta maker, meat grinder and a shredder/slicer. It is the best mixer I have ever used and it is well worth the price. ...
...

I bought this in black for my new house. I just bought my first house and have been collecting things to make a house a home and I have always wanted a kitchen aid stand mixer. My kitchen is stainless steel and black so this black unit fit perfectly in. It has 10 variable speed controls that are easily cycled through with the knob on the side of the unit. It came with the bowl pouring shield that has come in so handy for when I make batters during the holidays. It also comes with a whisk, a beater and a dough hook. No matter what I have made so far, I haven't needed any other kind of beater with these three on hand. I also love how there are so many different kind of attachments that you can add onto the top making this a highly multi functional piece of equipment. The unit itself is very easy to clean and wipe down when I am finished. It has a decently long cord so it does not have to be right next to the outlet when it is used either. I would highly recommend this stand mixer. It is a...
...

This blender does it ALL. Seriously. It can make soup, dips, smoothies, juices... you name it, and it can do it! Vitamix is even used by professional commercial suppliers as well (which just goes to show how good of quality it REALLY is!). Vitamix also comes with a free recipe book filled with color-blasted high-quality pictures to tantalize your taste buds! :) I've owned mine for about 3 years now and NOT ONE SINGLE PROBLEM has EVER occurred with it. Vitamix is a little bit pricey though, but I know you can get it for a great price at Sam's Club when they have a travel agent go there and advertise for Vitamix. (I believe you just have to check what dates they'll be there). But honestly, this vitamix is TRULY worth the money. Don't waste your money buying some cheap blender from wal-mart which you'll have to replace in one year! Go all out and buy the truly one-of-a-kind, high-quality blender... The Vitamix.
...

Okay, to borrow from the great Michael Jackson, this is IT! The KitchenAid Artixan Mixer is the Utopia any true lover of cooking is searching for. Sturdy and solidly built, this thing will last longer than Betty White, and it's much easier to look at (sorry Betty...) Mixes anything like a charm, with enough variable settings to get any desired speed, and clean up is a breeze. Don't hide this thing away in the cupboard, though - put it on display so you can just sit and gaze at it's astounding beauty. It really is a thing of art. Besides, it'll make you LOOK like a premiere cook, even if you never lift a finger in the kitchen besides tearing open a box of Betty Crocker.

True, owning one can set you back a few pennies, but if you've ever pulled out that tiny hand-held mixer every time a mixing job is required and felt empty and incomplete, you KNOW what's missing in your life - an objet d'art such as the Artisan Mixer. True, it may be overkill and that handheld probably does...
...

I love to bake, but probably wouldn't bake 1/2 as much without my kitchen aid mixer. I used my mom's while I was growing up and learning to cook. I received mine as a wedding gift 6 years ago and it still works as well as the day I received it! I use it on average 5 times/week. Works great for cakes, cookies, doughs, ANYTHING! I have used it hundreds of time to knead bread dough and it works much better than by hand! (and much easier!)

I am not one to spend more for the better quality item unless it is absolutely necessary... and for this... SPEND THE EXTRA MONEY, YOU'LL BE VERY VERY GLAD YOU DID!
...

oh wow, my husband bought this for my several years ago and i really did not want it, could not think of a good reason to get it, besides it was very expensive!! i am so happy with the kitchen aid!! this has become one of my favorite kitchen appliances, i use it all the time, i do not even have a regular hand mixer in my house anymore. i have some of the attachments for the kitchen aid, i have the meat grinder which has come in handy when processing my husband venisonand when making home made egg rolls, i also have the pasta attachment, works well but i do not use often. it handles great on cookie dough and gentle on other foods. it came with a bread hook, wisk and mixing paddle. it has a few different speeds. it's bowl is fairly big and i can usually double a cookie dough recipe in it.

this product is well worth it a great quality product and great investment, it is available in just about any color now so keep that in mind when you decide to buy your own kitchen aid!
...

My kitchenaid mixer was a gift more than ten years ago and I have used it almost every single week since receiving it. This mixer is a real work horse as it quickly and efficiently mixes and blends all doughs and mixes. Prior to receiving my Kitchenaid I woudl shy away from recipes where things like chocolate chips, nuts and dried fruit had to mixed in. Now I freely bake these and many other recipes as my mixer does all of the work. In addition this mixer is easy to clean. The bowl detaches form the base with a slight turn. It is stanless steel and cleans up like a dream. The body of the mixer is is metal and also cleans up quickley and easily. A wipe with a dampened cloth usually does the trick but sometimes a small bit of soap is required. I would without hesitation reccomend the Kitchenaid mixer to anyone. As a matter of fact I often give this mixer as a bridal shower gift and it always gets rave reviews.
...
