I have wanted one for as long as I can remember. It is the very first thing I registered for when my husband I got engaged, but unfortunately I received nearly everything on my list except it (of course!) About a year ago, my husband finally got all my hints and was kind enough to buy it for me, and I have been a happy girl ever since. It truly is as useful as I always thought it would be. The thing I appreciate the most about it is that I can turn it on, start adding ingredients to the mixing bowl as it is slowly mixing, and by the time I finally get everything in the bowl, it is properly mixed and ready to pour in the pan. There is no sore arm from the hand mixer, no mixer arm coming off in your bowl every time you use your mixer (that happened to me every time!) and no motor running out after a few years of use. This thing is built to last, and I plan to use it until it literally can no longer turn an inch!
...

Everyone know that KitchenAid stands for quality and when you buy a KitchenAid mixer that is just what you will get!

This mixer is great for being able to get things whipped up while you are preparing other ingredients or just taking a break from it all!

I have had a KitchenAid mixer for 12 years now and I LOVE it. It is very high quality. The mixer has several speeds and a locking mode so that the beater will stay down in the bowl while you are whipping up your culinary masterpiece.

Durable, easy to clean up, reliable and sure to go the extra mile in quality...these mixers shoudl be a staple in everyone's homes.

This mixer can withstand large, hard to mix ingredients and blend them together with the greatest of ease.

When you are done with it, you just unlock the beater, lift the arm up and remove the bowl. The bowl is very strong with a handle that is easy to hold onto.

I highly recommed this mixer to anyone that is considering it.

I love my Kitchen Aid mixer. When baking from scratch I always pull it out, even though it is a bit heavy to do so. It is well worth the effort as it saves time while baking by leaving your hands free to do other tasks. You can whip egg whites while you measure out ingredients, grease the cake pan or even tidy up as you bake. The mixer is perfect for mixing light or heavy batters. The motor is heavy duty and the mixer has never failed me yet, even one Christmas when my friend and I decided to make a triple batch of biscotti. That was a very heavy batter and the Kitchen Aid mixer worked effortlessly. The mixer is very stable on the kitchen counter and it is easy to remove the mixer attachments and bowl. Mine is white but there are a variety of colors to choose from. There are many attachments for the mixer including a special bowl for making ice cream, pasta maker, meat grinder and a shredder/slicer. It is the best mixer I have ever used and it is well worth the price. ...
...

I bought this in black for my new house. I just bought my first house and have been collecting things to make a house a home and I have always wanted a kitchen aid stand mixer. My kitchen is stainless steel and black so this black unit fit perfectly in. It has 10 variable speed controls that are easily cycled through with the knob on the side of the unit. It came with the bowl pouring shield that has come in so handy for when I make batters during the holidays. It also comes with a whisk, a beater and a dough hook. No matter what I have made so far, I haven't needed any other kind of beater with these three on hand. I also love how there are so many different kind of attachments that you can add onto the top making this a highly multi functional piece of equipment. The unit itself is very easy to clean and wipe down when I am finished. It has a decently long cord so it does not have to be right next to the outlet when it is used either. I would highly recommend this stand mixer. It is a...
...

This blender does it ALL. Seriously. It can make soup, dips, smoothies, juices... you name it, and it can do it! Vitamix is even used by professional commercial suppliers as well (which just goes to show how good of quality it REALLY is!). Vitamix also comes with a free recipe book filled with color-blasted high-quality pictures to tantalize your taste buds! :) I've owned mine for about 3 years now and NOT ONE SINGLE PROBLEM has EVER occurred with it. Vitamix is a little bit pricey though, but I know you can get it for a great price at Sam's Club when they have a travel agent go there and advertise for Vitamix. (I believe you just have to check what dates they'll be there). But honestly, this vitamix is TRULY worth the money. Don't waste your money buying some cheap blender from wal-mart which you'll have to replace in one year! Go all out and buy the truly one-of-a-kind, high-quality blender... The Vitamix.
...

Okay, to borrow from the great Michael Jackson, this is IT! The KitchenAid Artixan Mixer is the Utopia any true lover of cooking is searching for. Sturdy and solidly built, this thing will last longer than Betty White, and it's much easier to look at (sorry Betty...) Mixes anything like a charm, with enough variable settings to get any desired speed, and clean up is a breeze. Don't hide this thing away in the cupboard, though - put it on display so you can just sit and gaze at it's astounding beauty. It really is a thing of art. Besides, it'll make you LOOK like a premiere cook, even if you never lift a finger in the kitchen besides tearing open a box of Betty Crocker.

True, owning one can set you back a few pennies, but if you've ever pulled out that tiny hand-held mixer every time a mixing job is required and felt empty and incomplete, you KNOW what's missing in your life - an objet d'art such as the Artisan Mixer. True, it may be overkill and that handheld probably does...
...

I love to bake, but probably wouldn't bake 1/2 as much without my kitchen aid mixer. I used my mom's while I was growing up and learning to cook. I received mine as a wedding gift 6 years ago and it still works as well as the day I received it! I use it on average 5 times/week. Works great for cakes, cookies, doughs, ANYTHING! I have used it hundreds of time to knead bread dough and it works much better than by hand! (and much easier!)

I am not one to spend more for the better quality item unless it is absolutely necessary... and for this... SPEND THE EXTRA MONEY, YOU'LL BE VERY VERY GLAD YOU DID!
...

oh wow, my husband bought this for my several years ago and i really did not want it, could not think of a good reason to get it, besides it was very expensive!! i am so happy with the kitchen aid!! this has become one of my favorite kitchen appliances, i use it all the time, i do not even have a regular hand mixer in my house anymore. i have some of the attachments for the kitchen aid, i have the meat grinder which has come in handy when processing my husband venisonand when making home made egg rolls, i also have the pasta attachment, works well but i do not use often. it handles great on cookie dough and gentle on other foods. it came with a bread hook, wisk and mixing paddle. it has a few different speeds. it's bowl is fairly big and i can usually double a cookie dough recipe in it.

this product is well worth it a great quality product and great investment, it is available in just about any color now so keep that in mind when you decide to buy your own kitchen aid!
...

My kitchenaid mixer was a gift more than ten years ago and I have used it almost every single week since receiving it. This mixer is a real work horse as it quickly and efficiently mixes and blends all doughs and mixes. Prior to receiving my Kitchenaid I woudl shy away from recipes where things like chocolate chips, nuts and dried fruit had to mixed in. Now I freely bake these and many other recipes as my mixer does all of the work. In addition this mixer is easy to clean. The bowl detaches form the base with a slight turn. It is stanless steel and cleans up like a dream. The body of the mixer is is metal and also cleans up quickley and easily. A wipe with a dampened cloth usually does the trick but sometimes a small bit of soap is required. I would without hesitation reccomend the Kitchenaid mixer to anyone. As a matter of fact I often give this mixer as a bridal shower gift and it always gets rave reviews.
...

Okay. Here's the real story. Do I absolutely need the beautiful blue mixer that is currently taking up space on my kitchen countertop? Probably not. Would my KitchenAid mixer be in my top five list of items that I would save in the event of a house fire? Again, probably not. But it would be in the Top Ten. I've had other stand mixers, including a Sunbeam that was not equipped to handle my baking obsession, and I still get a little thrill each time I take out my KitchenAid to make the perfect chocolate chip cookies. The beater blade on the mixer alone is worth the purchase, and all of the various attachments (even if, admittedly, I haven't bothered to use them yet!) make it a diverse appliance that will work for just about everyone. Unlike other mixers that I have tried, the KitchenAid is relatively quiet as it works, and the stainless steel bowl is easy to clean, either by hand or in the dish washer. Overall, while it is a little pricey, for someone interested in a quality, sure to last...
...

I love the kitchen aid brand of appliances and this stand up mixer is no different. I use this machine daily. I use it to make breads, grind grain for brewing beer, and even grinding up meat after a hunting trip. I have trouble blending ingredients (especially when butter is involved) so I just add the ingredients and continue what ever other cooking I'm doing. When I come back, it's all mixed up and ready to go. It makes life so much easier and cooking is now a breeze (and no tired arms either!). Also, this mixer comes with lots of attachments that are easy to use. Besides what I already mentioned, you can also get a sausage stuffer, ice cream maker, citrus juicer, ravioli maker, fruit and veggie strainer, veggie slicer and shredder, etc. The options are endless. No matter what kind of person you are or what you are into, Kitchen aid stand up mixers have something that fits your needs and wants. A bit of money to shell out at once, but well worth it!!
...

All my life I've used a hand mixer. I finally just got this standing mixer a couple of months ago. I'm having trouble weaning myself off the hand mixer. I've used it a couple of times on big projects but for little ones I'm still reaching for the hand mixer. I understand that being intimidated by an appliance is my problem so I guess the problem I have with the standing mixer is that it is a little cumbersome to get set up and pulled apart again when I'm done. I do like having my hands free to do other things do other things though. I am hopeful that the more I use it, the more I'll find I want to use it.
...

I finally purchased a Kitchenaid Mixer last year after wanting one for years. I was worried that it wouldn't be worth the hefty price but decided to treat myself to something new. I have not been dissapointed at all. This is a well made appliance that really should be called a machine because of all the power and durability this thing packs. I went with a bowl lift model which I am glad I did. It is easier to use in a small space because I don't need the extra room that the tilt-head models require. It is very heavy so I suggest buying a slick plastic placemat to put under it. This makes it easy to slide on the counter when needing to move it. I haven't bought any attachments that are available for this mixer but I know that there are a lot available. There are a lot of good deals and rebates available for kitchenaid mixers so if you are patient and do enough research you could get a pretty good deal on one.
...

khouser55 says "An investment to last a lifetime - the best is the biggest!" about KitchenAid Stand Mixer - Classic Plus

KitchenAid mixers are, by far, the best on the market, and have been for years. My mother just replaced hers, and she's had it since the 1970's at least. They are durable, hard-working, easy to care for, and yes they are bulky and big, but I like that since that provides stability and large capacity.

There are a lot of attachments you can get, beyond the three basic paddles. I love the cheese grater attachment because I hate grating it by hand. I also want to try the ice cream maker attachment!

My biggest recommendation when buying a Kitchenaid mixer is to fork over the extra money to get the biggest. I have the smaller capacity bowl and making a large batch of bread or a double batch of cookies tends to get batter up into the top of the mixing attachment which makes clean up a bit more tedious. Also, the smaller bowl does not have a handle, which I hate, because sometimes its hard to lift and pour something out of it using only the edge to hold on to. I believe the bigger...
...

Growing up overseas, we made everything from scratch, from cakes to bread. My mother had a KitchenAid Professional 600 Series 6-Quart Stand Mixer that handled the salt air of a tropical island for more than 15 years and is still functioning now that they're back in the US. Because food plays a big part in our family, for my bridal shower gift, my mother continued the tradition by purchasing me my own KitchenAid Professional 600 Series 6-Quart Stand Mixer! I have the pure white mixer, although there are a variety of color options available (black, blue, red, nickel, and others).

This mixer is a monster! The 575 watt motor can power through almost any recipe you can put into the massive 6-quart bowl. There are 10 speed options. Three beaters are included: a whipping beater, dough hook, and flat beater. Also included is a plastic splatter shield, which has a "spout" that allows you to add ingredients gradually without removing the shield. I have avoided more flour explosions...
...

evelynm714 says "KitchenAid Pro 600 Is The Best" about KitchenAid KitchenAid Pro 600

I bought the Pro 600 mixer since I became a baker and cake decorator. So far I love this mixer. It is not too bulky to leave out in my counter space but it is big enough to mix everything I need for my cakes. The 6 quart steel bowl is large enough that I can mix for two cakes at once. Also steel bowl is great if cooled for whipping cream will whipp large quantity very quickly and keep it cool so it wont soften. Very easy to use and not complicated at all. Everything can come off easily for easy cleaning, and everything can be placed back very easy as well. Has 10 speeds which is good for almost anything you need to mix, also includes attachment to fold or whisk. Has the option where you can buy attachments to use for grinding meats or making pasta, havent used them yet but seems pretty self explanatory. Great for starting off my cake business!! Greates inexpensive mixer you can get speacially if its on sale at Khols and you have a coupon, I purchased mine for only $250!!!! Great buy you...
...

sackerman74 says "I love my KitchenAid!" about KitchenAid Stand Mixer - Classic Plus

I honestly couldn't live without my Kitchen Aid mixer! It is my favorite kitchen tool by far, and I spend a lot of time in the kitchen. It has the strength I need it to have and does a lot of different things I want it to do, such as mixing heavy, sticky doughs that I am completely not interested in doing by hand (and I don't think a regular mixer could handle). Kitchenaid also offers lots of accessories that do so much more than the average stand mixer could. We have recently bought the meat grinder attachment and one of the pasta maker attachments. We have yet to use them but plan to do so in the near future.

The one downside I can say is that it's very heavy and large, so it's not very practical to move around the kitchen or to store inside a cabinet if you need it even fairly infrequently. I can't wait to try out some of our new attachments, especially the ones for making pasta. These are definitely high quality products from a good manufacturer.
...

My loving husband gave me a Kitchen Aid mixer over five years ago for Christmas. I had no idea, but he did know I wanted one. It was the only thing I told him I wanted that involved a plug. I can make everything from yummy mashed potatoes, to bread, to cookies. The possibilities are endless. And with the interchangeable attachments, I can make cake AND whip cream in a jiffy. My only added recommendation is to buy an extra bowl. You need an extra bowl so when you are in the middle of baking, or mixing, or whatever, you don't have to wait and clean it so you can use it again. Especially when it's sticky cookie or cake batter. It takes a lot longer to clean and is easier to clean when it gets a good soak with soap and water. I probably use my Kitchen Aid Mixer about once a week. Even more so starting around October through December. We are looking forward to baking this season, which we've already started.
...

JnsTurn says "This lightweight Kitchen Aid Hand Mixer is a great addition!" about KitchenAid KHM9 Hand Mixer

This is my first KitchenAid brand mixer. After a month of using almost daily, I'm impressed with it's efficiency and easy cleanup.

This 9 speed KitchenAid KHM9 Model hand mixer works perfectly for everyday jobs like whipping cream, beating eggs, and mixing everything from pancake batter to cookie dough. I've used it for all those and more and it does the job.

I have the Turbo beaters and Pro Whisk accessory, that were included and the optional Dough Hooks, purchased separately. The dough hooks are a great add-on for stiff cookie dough or bread dough. Another optional accessory is a single drink mixer, which I didn't get because it's not something I'd use. All of the beaters easily pop in and out with the ejector button. If you want just one beater in action, you can leave one out too.

I'd give it five stars if the 9th speed were noticeably more powerful than the 7th or 8th. I don't really see much difference in them so far.
