I had purchased this mirowave from Sears a little over a month ago. I looked through reviews and noticed a lot of negative reviews about this product. I even asked the salesman about the product and he said they were mainly false. He was kinda rude with me and pushy for a sale. My other microwave lasted for 5 yrs but met it's end from a lightning storm. — — The Kenmore 1200 watt microwave had all the features I wanted. Great power, inside space and was rated #1 by consumer reports. I purchased the microwave hoping that I wouldn't get a lemon. I had the microwave for approx. 1 month. It heated great and had worked as good as what I read about it. Then a sunday afternoon when I was making supper, I just heated up a couple of items a few minutes earlier. I went to use the microwave again and I had it timed out for 5 minutes. It rang saying it was...

We purchased an LG model LRM1260SW microwave @ Best Buy on May 24, 2008 to replace the Sharp model we had for eleven years. The LG product broke within 6 weeks. I called Best Buy to get return authorization and was told since I didn't buy the Best Buy extended warranty they refused to replace it or give a refund. Best Buy will not back what they sell after 30 days without the extended warranty being purchased. I called LG who initially told me to take it a nearby appliance repair company for warranty repairs. A later call to LG was met with their refusal to repair it. LG then said "it was not economically advantageous for them to do so". LG also refused to replace the unit. LG refused to refund cost unless I bought another LG microwave. This is not what I was told by LG originally. Numerous calls to LG and emails were responded to by short canned answers and no one there was authorized to make exceptions to their policy in order to make a customer happy. It is obvious LG is not a...

shigadeyo says "Enjoy your meal!" about Whirlpool Countertop Microwave

This microwave oven was purchased to replace a GE 0.7 cubic foot one not only because the GE was dieing (power getting weaker), but also because we are in the process of changing out the white kitchen appliances to stainless steel. Also, my wife really liked the 30 second button on the old microwave and after a bit of research it turns out that very few brands have this feature. Those that do include GE, some Sharp, Whirlpool, and KitchenAid. We pruchased the Whirlpool because of the style/design (stainless steel, model MT4155SPS) and the price (KitchenAid is nice, but the microwaves are very expensive/over-priced). This microwave has a stainless steel door and front control panel and then the top and sides are black and blue LED on the control panel. The additional size (1.5 Cu. Ft.) and power (1100 watts) are welcomed especially since this microwave doesn't really take up that much more physical countertop space than a 0.7 Cu. Ft. one does. Unfortunately, the GE had quick start...

We are extremely happy with this microwave. The Panasonic NN-T945SFX - 1500 watts inverter oven replaces our last Panasonic microwave oven which is now 19 years old. Our old one still works but we have to jiggle the door to get it to run. — We looked for another Panasonic because of our experience with Panasonic products and because Consumer Reports gave it its highest rating. We had to shop several stores to find it but were thrilled to locate it. It cost $155 and is worth every penny. It has a Breakfast setting on the sensor pad which makes perfect oatmeal and a Beverage setting to make a perfect mug of hot tea. We haven't used the Popcorn, Side Dish, or Dinner settings yet but have used Lunch/snack and the timer and power sensors. The manual has many cooking suggestions, microwave shortcuts, and a few recipes. One feature of the oven is that you can use the clock as a kitchen...

We bought this Microwave oven on sale in December. We thought we were getting a good deal! In late January it stopped working. When we tried to return it to the store for a new one, they told us we had to get it repaired NOT replaced. So we traipsed to the nearest Repair Center (they don't do that at the store). After waiting over a week, we got it back and it worked fine again. Then, a few months later, it stopped working again. So we endured another week and a half without a microwave and now it is working fine but we are just waiting for the next breakdown. We decided to purchase a service agreement in case of another breakdown after the one year warranty period. — Besides our breakdowns, it is a decent microwave. It is large inside so it holds bigger casserole dishes. It has many sensor heat settings which makes it easy for kids to use. Just pop something in and punch in the right code to heat the...

I purchased an 80833(50) model microwave. This version is near the top of the line from Kenmore. The Electronic controls are intuitive and with the polished stainless steel front it is very easy on the eyes as well. I was able to install it myself in the existing over range space occupied by my previous microwave. It took about an hour or so. We use it for cooking vegitables, defrosting and popcorn. We don't cook in it really it is just for side dishes etc. — Quality Issues: Almost immediately we had trouble with the translating rotating tray, I is really cool if it works, but the dish inside was constantly popping off the guide and making a racket. We had a service technician come out and there was a modification available that he installed which fixed the issue with out any further problems. — More significantly, and the reason for me writing this review, there is a stainless steel part on the front which runs the entire top of the unit, Part # 3531W1A019A, It has...
