We decided to replace our old microwave and decided on this Kenmore microwave. We bought the white model and it's still easy to keep clean. The inside is spacious and can handle a large frozen lasagna with no problem. It has a turntable inside so you don't have to stop and turn it quarter turns whenever you cook frozen items. It has the clock, auto defrost, all the different power levels and heats quickly and thoroughly, which was what our old microwave had stopped doing. One of the features we like is that when the timer goes off, the display shows "end" instead of going back to the time. So on those occasions where you get busy and forget you put a side dish in the microwave or reheated something and just forgot, you see the "end" displayed and it's a reminder that something is still in the microwave. This was less than $100, works great and we recommend it to anyone who is looking for a good quality microwave.
...

adolyn says "It is wonderful for the single person who only wants to reheat." about Sunbeam sunbeam microwave

It is a small microwave which is excellent for a single person who only wants ot reheat food or maybe pop popcorn. It also takes up very little cabinet space because it is so small. Compared to the bigger microwaves, the cooking is just about the same --I don't see nay difference in the way it cooks, it seems all microwaves cook pretty much alike. Sunbeam is a trusted name and the price was excellent under 75 dollars . It has a round glass plate that revolves as the microwave cooks. I like thi smicrowave and when it breaks I would definitely buy another one. Now as far as cooking whole meals thi smicrowave probably would not be the best thing, but as i stated before --a single person would find thi sproduct adequate for their uses and the price make sit very affordable. The white cvolor does show up every bit of dirt, perhaps black or stainless stell color would have been better. Other than that I am very satisfied with this product and would recoomend it to anyone.
...

I previously owned a Whirlpool my boyfriend bought me about 10 years ago. I loved it and when it died, I was devastated. I looked and looked for another to match what it was capable of doing and could not find one. I had given up till one day while shopping in Lowe's I came across this model. I couldn't believe what I saw. I finally found a microwave that could replace the other one. The price was fantastic. It was very attractive. Best of all it had the features I had looked and looked for on other models and was unable to find. I had owned GE products before and trusted this brand. I looked at it and debated and debated and finally decided, I WANT IT. I bought it, took it home, and set it up.

It looks great in my kitchen. I love the size because I can get platters and large bowls in it. It has all kinds of features which make cooking such a breeze.

I am not a big microwave user. I mean that, I do not do whole meals in a microwave. It is a handy tool to have, though, when I have to heat up veggies for dinner, or a quick hot lunch. So when our little microwave of thirteen years finally gave out, we found this wonderful product. It was around the price we wanted (under $75 ). It is a little bigger than our old microwave, but I have come to like that it has some height to it. It is so easy to use. All I have to do is press a number 1 through 5 and it instantly starts cooking on high, one touch heating! The power and time can be adjusted on the touch pad for other cooking needs, but the one touch start is perfect for making that oatmeal in the morning, or popcorn in the afternoon. The size is just right also, and it fits perfectly on a microwave cart. It also has other one touch settings for beverages and reheating, along with the typical digital clock. An additional feature I have not seen on other microwaves is it includes a kitchen......

I bought this microwave brand new two years ago and I still have regrets as to why I ever thought about purchasing it. I was initially attracted to the microwave due to the cost. It was the lowest cost one available at Wal-Mart. The microwave itself is very small and has very little power to heat up food. Anyway, to make a long story short the microwave broke down six months into operation. One day the microwave would simply not start. I pushed all the buttons, however nothing would light up. I realized the microwave was completely dead. This microwave broke down in the quickest amount of time I ever experienced. And that is saying a lot because I have bought many microwaves. I had to buy another microwave from Sears to replace it. I believed and trusted the GE brand. Unfortunately, the company let me down. Save yourself the grief and buy a Panasonic brand microwave. Their better and last longer.
...

We had two microwaves when we first movied into our house; a small white one that fit into a cubby above the counter and a huge beast of a microwave we had received as a wedding gift several years before. For years the beast sat unused in our basement until the white microwave broke, at which time the beast made its way upstairs and onto our kitchen counter next to the sink.

My husband hated the beast as soon a we brought it up. "It takes up way too much counter space," he'd say and would often suggest we buy another small microwave to stick back into the cubby. I told him buying another microwave would be a waste of money because the beast worked fine.

I thought the microwave issue had been dropped until I went away for a weekend with some friends this past July. I kept in touch with my husband via cellphone, but late one evening I logged into Facebook to see he had posted a few lines about our failing microwave. Apparently the beast had chosen the very weekend I was away from...
...

The GE spacemaker microwave is a great product. We have never had any problems with it we have owned this model for over 5 years. I really enjoy the option that there is already a turn style built inside the oven so anything you put into it cooks thoroughly without hot spots or frozen areas cooking evenly. It cooks faster than most ovens I have owned in the past. This particular model has a removable rack inside so when the kids come home from school famished you can put two things in at once and cook them at the same time and they both cook evenly. Another great feature is the front of the oven is the front is flat there are no protruding dials or buttons so it just wipes down easily keeping off food debris and fingerprints. The best feature of all is this is mounted above my stove keeping my counter-space clutter free which enables me to have more work area for cooking. This model comes in two colors black and white. My mother has the black model but I feel it shows up allot of...
...

We bought this microwave when we first got married and moved into our apartment. It worked fine. It was okay looking and we spent a resonable amount of money on it, (meaning it wasn't expensive but I wouldn't say it was cheap). One night, not even a year after purchasing this microwave (Emerson), I was heating something up while feeding my baby when we heard an explosion and smelled a terrible burning smell. I was scared and I called my husband into the room. He is not one to panic but he got that microwae out of our apartment VERY fast. It was scary. A microwave should not do that, specially after less than a year. We cleaned it properly and used it properly. There was nothing we did to provoke the incident. I've also read similar reviews on other websites. If you want a safe microwave that;'s going to last, I recommend that you really investigate the emerson microwave before purchasing it!
...

I needed a small, inexpensive microwave for my office. This stainless steel microwave fits perfectly on top of a file cabinet without taking up too much valuable space or being too obtrusive. Friends and coworkers frequently come in to use this microwave with its convenient pre-set buttons for liquids, popcorn, potatoes, frozen dinners, pizza and more. It is a lifesaver for busy workers who do not have the time to leave the office for a leisurely lunch. It is very quiet and easy to use. I can even use it while I am talking on the phone! On cold mornings I simply pop my cup of coffee onto the turn about tray and hit the beverage button. In no time my coffee is again perfect - hot, but not so hot I can't drink it. I don't know what that special temperature is, but this RCA microwave has it down perfectly! It seems to know exaactly what it is heating and/or cooking and it all turns out perfectly.
...

When we purchased this oven, I thought that it would be great to have the convection part of it, so there would not be the need to heat up the regular oven for baking small things. It turns out that the oven takes longer to heat up and doesn't cook food any faster and definately not as even as the regular oven does.

The microwave part works just fine, I like the controls on it. But as you cook in the microwave it builds up condensation which must be dried as soon as possible or it leaves terrible spots on the inside of the oven. The inside is shiny metal. In the beginning I didn't realize that it was doing that and now there are a few spots that appear to be rusting through the metal. I would not purchase a combination microwave/convection oven again.

Power-level settings of 100%, 90%, and right on down--I am amazed. I think the very-low settings are for drying food; can you imagine being able to do dried foods yourself? Then quick-buttons for nearly everything. It'll take a while to learn all the features but even right out of the box it was just so easy to use! All I wanted was a small simple one that wouldn't take much counterspace and never dreamed it would have all this, not for this price. My old microwave had just given out--after 23 years of daily use--and the one thing I wanted was defrost, that's all. I'd always used the microwave, on defrost, to simmer foods that needs long, slow cooking--with no pot-watching and no chance of burning. You ought to try that! Much better than on the stove--and this does have defrost, of course of course--but so many other settings that will be even better for slow cooking. Then you can choose to defrost meat according to how much the chunk of meat actually weighs, of all things--there's a setting...
...

The Emerson .9 cubic foot microwave is great for small spaces. My new apartment's kitchen has limited counter space and this microwave is a good fit for it.

I was surprised by the actual heating time for the low 700 watts of the microwave. It cooks a frozen entree in the time shown on the directions, without having to add extra time. It warms up leftovers quickly as well.

The control panel buttons are small yet easy to use. The first 6 buttons are quick-use, from 1 to 6 minutes called Express Cook. The start button is in 30 second increments as well, making it very convenient. There is also a kitchen timer, which has come in handy as my range does not have one.

Trying to figure out how to adjust the power levels is a bit challenging and I had to read the manual to learn how to do this. Once you know how to it isn't too hard.

Our 12 year old microwave finally died and we had to go out and buy a new one. I hate to say I was heavily influenced by styling - but the Cuisinart CMW-100 stainless steel microwave was just...well...attractive! It has a very pleasing presence on the kitchen counter. It's stainless steel inside as well as out, though, which does serve a practical purpose, making it much easier to clean. The stainless steel also doesn't retain any odors - very nice! While I would have liked to get a convection model, it just wasn't in our budget, so I sought out a microwave with good basic features. The Cuisinart's interior is slightly smaller than our old microwave - but for most microwave chefs, I think it is large enough. It might have a little less power than our old model, too - I've noticed that my instant oatmeal takes about 40 seconds longer to cook. Heating seems to be a little more even than our old model, however. It has special bacon settings, which are what sold my husband on this model! Lastly,...
...

The Frigidaire Professional Series Microwave is great. Even my husband uses it to cook with. It has a sensor cook button that will reheat or cook items perfectly without having to guess how much time to use. It is large and the turntable can handle a casserole dish without complaining. I chose the stainless steel but there is also black or white. It is easy to clean and we have had it for 6 years and have had no problems out of it. I would recommend this microwave to anyone looking to purchase a new one. It was not the most expensive on the market but it does a great job!

teea says "GE spacesaver is a wonderful addition to my kitchen. " about GE Microwave - Spacemaker JVM1540

GE Spacesaver I would recommend this to anyone who wants a microwave above there

stove. Its small but yet it does everything a full size microwave would do. I would buy

another one just like it if need be. Its easy to take care of and cooks as well as a full size

microwave and yet it doesn't take up space in the kitchen. It has alot of extras also like a

light and exaust fan and also even a defrost that I use often. Most microwaves take up alot of space this one is like it says a spacesaver that goes above the stove and oven

and works as well as a full size microwave it comes highly recommened by me for heating

foods cooking foods and defrosting an item is simple and an easy way if your in a hurry

to cook something. The colors of my microwave are the same as my stove so it fits into

my kitchen decor very good it kinda looks like my stoves oven above the stove. The good and the bad there would be nothing bad about this microwave its a must for any

kitchen in my opinion.
...

dmdifalco says "Sharp Carousel is the Largest Microwave on The Market" about Sharp Carousel

Sharp's Carousel Over the Range Microwave is the largest of it's kind. Located behind the oven door (out of sight) is auto touch control panel. The turntable is close to 15" around which I throughly enjoy when keeping family dinner's warm when I am expecting lots of company. It also has a lot of sensor features included in English, Spanish or French...Just in case I hire a cook! Honestly, I've never seen so many options available. It's real important to sit down and read the manual though because you just can't figure out how to use everything unless you do. The reason I know is because I tried and failed a few times. Take time to read the booklet and in a few weeks practice will make perfect! I use it everyday now for defrosting and warming dishes. I was thrilled that I could put a couple dinner plates in at the same time the other day. I never could have done this with prior microwaves. They all were just too small!
...

kima86 says "Microwave cooking made even easier!" about Kenmore Elite Microwave

In today's busy life, microwaves have become an integral part of the kitchen concerning food preparation. In searching for a microwave that would fit the needs of my family, we went shopping at a nearby Sears to see what they had available. At the time (7 years ago), this Kenmore Elite microwave with Ultra Wave Inverter technology was one of the higher end models that didn't have convection capabilities. This technology gave us the choice to use "Sensor Cooking", so at the touch of 1 button we could have our food reheated or cooked according to predetermined times for 8 different options:

Reheat - you can reheat pre-cooked room temperature or refrigerated foods without having to select a cooking time or power level for 3 categories: dinner plate, soup/sauce or casserole.

Potato - you can cook 1 - 4 potatoes, making sure you pierce skin with fork.

Rice - 1/2 c. - 2 cups, placing twice as much liquid in a microwavable dish. Cook instant rice according to package directions.

Pizza...

...
