azboy1975 says "Very Amazing Product" about Whirlpool Acawave

I would highly recommend the Acawave Microwave by Whirlpool. My partner and I bought a home back in 2007 and when doing our upgrades came across this microwave. The great featurers about this item is, the different choice buttons that are offered. The item has warm up a drink, warm hold, baked potatoe, timer,a baking option.

another reason why we decided topurchase the item was because of our good friend who had one. We had a chance to try the product before when even decided to buy the product. WE were shown all the high tech featurers of the product, how the product works and why we should get it.

The overall quality of this product is Atttttt. The product is realible, well built, comes in nice colors and well fit well in any kitchen. I really don't have anything bad to say againist this item, yet atleast. So far this item has worked really well for me, with no issues at all. I would suggest before you think of buying this item, go to your local Home Depot or Lowes...
...

TRUEVUE says "LARGE CAPACITY AND VALUE-PRICED FOR TODAY'S FAMILY" about Sharp R-420LK 1100 Watts

This is my second Sharp Microwave. The first one lasted so long, I lost count of how many years it was used by my family! The Sharp R-420LK offers 1100 Watts of cooking power, 1.4 cubic foot cooking space, and a large turntable. It is deep as well as wide, so it can handle larger bowls and containers. Here are some of the features:

Smart & Easy® Sensor Settings for 9 most popular microwave foods

Three Sensor Reheat Options for beverages, fresh rolls/muffins and frozen rolls/muffins

Instant Action Keys - touch once for each serving up to 8

Keep Warm Plus keeps hot foods hot up to 30 minutes after cooking

7-Digit, 2-Color Lighted Display

1100 Watts along with the Sharp Carousel Turntable ensures even cooking for all types of foods. I love the Smart & Easy settings for favorite foods like baked potatoes. Try baked sweet potatoes in the microwave. Absolutely delicious! Another favorite, popcorn, will be popped before you know it and not burned when you use the "Popcorn Button"!...
...

Bulldoglover says "My Whirlpool microwave was a good value and easy to install." about Whirlpool MH2175XSQ-0

This Whirlpool MH2175XSQ-0 microwave was an easy choice for me because I have been impressed with the longevity of the Whirlpool brand since I have been purchasing appliances over the past 17 years. Not only did I choose this microwave because it was made by a trustworthy brand, but because it had a WARM HOLD feature and the ability to turn the turntable on or off. The WARM HOLD feature is great for keeping things warm and helping to raise yeast dough more quickly. Being able to turn off the turntable was important because it gives me the flexibility of putting a 9 X 13 inch pan in the microwave. Another reason I chose this Whirlpool model was because the fan vent at the top does not have slats that face into the room. These tend to collect grease and then dust, making it very difficult to clean. This Whirlpool model had a flat plastic piece with the vent facing up. Installing the microwave ourselves was very easy. It came with a bracket and easy to follow instructions,...
...

jrector86 says "LOVE IT!!" about Cook Magic cook magic talking microwave

I bought this talking microwave for my vision-impaired daughter, and am very impressed. First, it looks gorgeous (every room, even a kitchen, benefits from a little dash of red). Second, the size is perfect--not tinker-toy sized but compact enough for a small kitchen. Third, the talking feature works great. You have a choice of loud, soft, or no voice, and a very pleasant voice it is. My daughter had no problem at all learning to use all the features, including a knob that has presets for many food items--just turn it until your choice is announced.

I can't speak for the durability, as we just got the unit recently, but if it wears as well as it's designed I'll be happy. And the Walmart price was certainy right--little more than half what amazon is asking (and that's the only other place I could find it).

This is the best thing ever! I would more than recomend it to everyone and absolutely everybody .
...

chefpam says "A great addition to the kitchen" about Kenmore Microwave - 1100 Watt

The Kenmore 721 1100 watt microwave oven is a fairly low-priced oven that gives nice results. I have cooked everything from popcorn to raw meat, with no complaints. This microwave offers a great deal of cooking space for its small appearance. The food cooks while spinning around on a glass turntable with a 12" diameter. There is a kitchen timer and 10 power levels. The timer goes up to 100 minutes

This is a good microwave, when space is limited. The oven does make more noise than you may be used to. If you want to make the oven quieter, you can try putting something underneath it to cushion some of the vibrations. Try something like a rubber mat or coasters. If you put this right on top of tile, you'll probably be very annoyed by the sound. The oven is such a good deal, so do not let the noise be the only thing that turns you against this oven. The noise is just the vibrations of the metal legs under the microwave, so just cushion them. This is worth trying!

I have a kitchen full of 6-year-old appliances, all Jenn-Air, Maytag and Whirlpool. Only two have functioned well, and the GE Profile Microwave is one of them! It's great. Two tiny complaints, as with all stainless steel it's difficult to keep smudge free and seems to be a bit scratched. Also, was difficult to find replacement light bulbs at first. Not carried in stores, but got a special order at an appliance parts distributor. First one cost $35!! On subsequent visits, they charged me a more normal $4 to $6.
...

I purchased this Hotpoint microwave oven over 28 years ago, and the darn thing just won't quit. Well, actually, about 4 years ago it did stop working. I couldn't figure out what was wrong with it, so I just hit it with a rubber hammer and it started working like new again. It is time to remodel this old kitchen, and I will hate to have to update the microwave, but I am sure that I will get another Hotpoint Microwave oven. If you are in the market for a new microwave oven, I truly and honestly think that you should consider a Hotpoint Microwave Oven. The life span of mine will probably never really be known. I am sure that I could get several more years of use out of it, if I wasn't planning to remodel my kitchen. I will probably use all Hotpoint appliances. After 28 year, Hotpoint has probably improved on their microwaves. In that case, you can't go wrong with Hotpoint. I hope that this review has been helpful. Good luck and happy cooking.

The GE 1.1 Cu. Ft. Capacity Countertop Microwave Oven (Stainless Steel) is a fantastic microwave - and it's under $100!

I'd had my previous microwave for 12 years, so I wasn't too 'microwave savvy' when I began searching for a new one. I researched microwaves on Amazon.com and on the Lowes and Home Depot websites; each site featured this microwave, and there were many positive reviews for this particular oven on each site.

This microwave is very sleek, with a brushed stainless steel exterior and a simple keypad. It would look great in any kitchen!

I would recommend this microwave to anyone who needs an oven to do everyday basics - heat up soup, steam vegetables, pop popcorn, etc. It also has a great kitchen timer and many 'pre-set' features for cooking the basics.

A great bang for your buck!
...

Emerson microwaves are good brands if you are going to need something simple. The dials are appropiate to fit an average person's fingers. It is economical and you are able to somewhat view the object you are warming. It is small and doesn't take much space. Mine is white and fits with any kitchen decor. It has a turntable inside which is great because it warms your food evenly each minute. It is very easy to work because it is self-explanatory. The dials tell you if you want to defrost, warm, or high heat. It really isn't for cooking meals for it is not equiped for that type of meal. It is very basic for the new cook in the kitchen. A child can operate this appliance because of the simplicity of it. You can feel safe allowing a child to work this appliance. Whether they are warming hotdogs or pizza they will love to use this. Now if you are a novice in the kitchen you will enjoy using this appliance but not if you are a gormet cook. You would want something...
...

I purchased a GE Sensor Microwave Oven when my old microwave finally died. I have to admit, the first unit I bought blew out electronically within a month, and I was surprised by that. There had never been anything metal at all in the oven, but an electrical arc popped out the back venting panel under normal use. Hoping that it was just a fluke with one bad machine, I exchanged it at my original store of purchase for another unit of the exact same model. So far, so good, and I use it every day.

This is an easy microwave to use. You can start using it without having to read the manual. There are 6 "express" buttons, and I like the convenience of putting something in and pressing just one button to have it heated for up to 6 minutes (i.e., button 1 will heat for one minute, button 2 will heat for 2 minutes, etc.). Of course, you can also use the "timed cook" option for any other length of time that you want. There are options for thawing frozen foods and a button to adjust...
...

I've had this microwave for about 4 months, and it works great. I like the turbo defost, quick minute, sensor cook and keep warm features. The microwave is easy to clean. So far, it seems to be a good value. We purchased a trim kit and insert to turn this counter top model into a built-in above our built-in oven.

A few things bother me about the mircowave, but not to a high decree. Most noteablely, you have to really push on the button to get the microwave to open. Even after 4 months, I often end up pushing it twice to get the latch to lift. Another thing that annoys me slightly is the inablility to use the microwave and the timer feature at the same time. Lastly, you have to select a time for the warm hold feature. My last microwave had this feature, but it was much more convientent to be able to let the warm hold run until I was finished with whatever needed to be finished.

This Panasonic microwave has so many features that I haven't used them all yet. But the ease of use is a definite plus. The control panel is clearly presented and I didn't even have to use the manual to figure out how everything works. Even the clock is easy to set. There is a simple turn-knob for dialing length of cooking that I use most often for quick reheating. There are also pushbuttons for special settings, such as power level, reheat and defrost.

One of the best features in my estimation is the delay timer setting, which I find useful for those times when there are too many things to attend to in the kitchen at one time. You can set this up in advance and tend to the other parts of your meal and be assured that everything will be ready and hot at the same time.

The oven is spacious enough for all my microwave dishes. I like the fact that it is designed with a very flat front face, so that cleaning is easy.
...

This "over the range" microwave oven was fine for almost a year, then it went from bad to worse and now I have to buy a different one. The bulbs kept burning out, even after replacing with a lower wattage. Then, a part which cost quite a bit had to be replaced and the warranty did not cover it, so we ended up paying for the labor as well and spent an additional $259.00. Once it was fixed, the bulbs kept going out and the final straw was when I was replacing bulbs for the 50th time, that it blew a fuse or something because a small explosion happened, with puffs of smoke coming from the bulb area. Now the lights won't come on at all on either side. The wattage may be compromised since the explosion, I can still warm things up in it, but it sounds like a small motor engine rumbling and that it will explode at any given moment. We have put too much time and energy into this microwave and will be purchasing a new one this summer, if it lasts that long. I would recommend to anyone...
...

Our family actually has two microwave ovens. We use a simple one for everyday items such as popcorn. We use the GE SCA1000 Advantium 1.4 Cu. Ft. Over the Range Microwave Oven for "cooking on steroids." The good news about this oven is that it does a lot of things really well. The bad news is that you will actually have to read the owner's manual to figure out how to cook with it. It does both conventional and microwave cooking. You have to train yourself to use the glass tray for microwave cooking and the metal tray for conventional cooking. The sensor in the oven seems to work well. We've put cups of coffee at several different temperatures into the oven for reheating. The coffee has always come out at the correct temperature. Once you read the instructions, the operation of the oven is actually quite simple. We look forward to giving the oven more tests and challenges and feel confident that the results will continue to be satisfactory.
...

edcarol says "For the money, this oven performs exceptionally well." about GE sensor microwave Model: JES1651SJ

We already own a GE Advantium microwave oven but wanted one with less bells and whistles for everyday use. We wanted something more than a bottom-of-the-line oven and looks were important. While shopping at Lowe's we discovered this 1.6 cubic feet GE Sensor microwave oven. It was selling for $154. It has a stainless finish, which melded with our kitchen decor and was large enough to be functional but not too large to fit into the space we had available. The programming of the oven is quite simple, usually requiring you to input "time cook," the actual time, "power level" and then start. The one-touch programs are right on, especially the one for popcorn. The oven senses the size of the bag and we get perfect popcorn nearly every time. If I have one complaint about the microwave, it's that the power levels operate by turning full power on and off instead of reducing the power. So, for example, if you want to cook something at 50 percent power it gets zapped at full power for about 15 seconds...
...

nurssh says "great little appliance for dorm or small apartment!" about Sunbeam SM0701A7E

This little Sunbeam microwave works great to heat up things and do some light cooking. It is compact, so doesn't take up much space on the counter or a shelf. Most items you would normally put in a microwave will fit in it without any trouble. My daughter used it in her dorm and is now moving it to a small apartment. It is very easy to clean and looks good. The Sunbeam SM0701A7E can be purchased at Target. It is regularly 49.99, but is often on sale for 39.99, and has even been 29.99 during some awesome specials, like back to school sales.
...

cmom5 says "This microwave really works!" about Kenmore Kenmore Quick Touch 1000 Watts

I have used many microwaves over the years, and have had my share of microwave troubles; but none works as well as this one. I now have a Kenmore Quick Touch 1000 watt microwave and love it. It is easy to use (even my husband can figure this one out), a good size (it fits very nicely on what little counter space we have), it has so many of those nice quick-use buttons on the front like popcorn, dinner plate, quick minute, etc. I don't often use the microwave for preparing whole meals, usually it is used more for heating foods up and preparing things like microwave popcorn, but this one has the space that I do have the option of preparing a whole steamed meal in it, which I have done on occasion. In the past I used a Sharp Carousel among others, but when the magnetron went out the company would not replace it, even though it was still under warranty, so this time when I was ready to buy another microwave I asked plenty of questions before buying. Sears employees were very nice and helpful...
...
