I love the look of this range, the glass top is really niceand looks great with our Zodiac Countertops. So far it has been very easy to use, all the controls are centrally located and when I need to see how to do something the manual is nicely organized. I purchased this model because I wanted a convection oven with a gas cook-top but didn't have 240 wiring available (therefore I couldn't do duel fuel) so opted to do the gas convection using 120 wiring. This was the only range that I could find with good consumer ratings that offered gas convection. The convection works great, even the chicken comes out moist. I have only two things that I wish were different. The grates are grey porcelain, I would have preferred black cast iron as over time the porcelain gets hard to clean. The cook top is high at 38" and I am short at 5'2", reaching the back burners is a stretch for me. — — On another web site a person complained that the top was hard to clean but so far this has not...

I just received my new range and I am thrilled with it. First things first, I baked cookies. The window in the stove is huge! The light insided allowed my seven year old and I to snuggle up in front of the oven and watch the gooey cookie dough melt and crisp into delicious circles of yummy goodness. — — The glass top is a beautiful pristine shiny blackness. One feature of the oven I really like is the air guard feature that prevents odors in the oven from escaping. This feature can be turned off to allow good smells to permeate the house ( as in the aforementioned cookies). — — I think the biggest selling features for me were the size of the oven window, the fifth burner that is a warming zone, and the 12 inch burner that will accommodate larger pans for canning. — — I've always like the quality of Kenmore appliances and the lovely stainless steel Kenmore 30" electric freestanding range is no exception. —...

As an avid amateur cook and passionate baker, when it came to choosing my oven and rangetop, I must have combed through dozens of stores. I knew I wanted gas burners and electric ovens, the best combination for better rangetop control and thorough baking temperatures. I wanted a stove large enough to cook Thanksgiving dinner for all my brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews without cooking everything in shifts and reheating it later. I chose a Thermardor Professional Pro Grand Duel Fuel Range. — Switching from a plain, Sears-model electric oven and range to the Thermador was like getting behind the wheel of a Corvette after driving a Ford Pinto for years. VOOM! I eschew user manuals but had to read the Thermardor manual carefully after my first pork roast came out tasting like baked plastic. (Note: use convection settings only for baked goods, not for meat!) — Having the gas burners and electric oven means better control over cooking. Rice, for...

August 14, 2008 — I bought a DCS Professional 30" Five Burner Self-Cleaning Gas Range model # RGTC-305 N in September 07. I've had it almost 1 year. It is a superior oven, packing 5 burners into 30", except that the infra-red broiler underperforms its browning and searing functions. I've been told by a DCS engineer that it is a design flaw with the self-cleaning all gas model only, because the broiler is covered with glass. If you are considering this model, please be sure to go somewhere to test the broiling performance. Bring a salmon steak, or a pork chop and see what happens. —...

SharingExperience says "Inferior Product and Customer Service" about LG LRE30451ST

LG is the maker of inferior products. I also had this model LG range which, upon my first use of the self-cleaning oven, part of the enamel on the interior of the oven wall came off. The range was still under the manufacturer's warranty but it took a while for them to find a repair service to come out. The range was determined to be "unrepairable" but it then took weeks of calls and discussions to get the range replaced which used up a lot of warranty time. However, I was eventually told this model was no longer available so I was sent a cheaper model to replace it. It seems they would send a better model since they had discontinued my inferior model. Also, when LG replaces an appliance, the manufacturer's warranty does not start over so I am now stuck with a very limited manufacturer's warranty (3 months) which was left on the old model. I also had purchased a dishwasher from LG which is also inferior and defective and this item still hasn't been resolved. It's been over...

Purchased this stove Jan 17, 2006 Model 790-9621. On Jan 17, 2007 repair service had to repair a leakystove door. August 21, 2007 oven overheated while baking a cake. Cake was placed on middle rack with an aluminum cookie sheet placed on the rack below. — Over heating caused the cookie shee to MELT and DRIP ONTO THE BOTTOM OF THE OVEN WHERE IT FUSED TO THE METAL of the oven bottom causing smoke and a strong odor. Repair service agents used their meters checked the stove and said there was NO problem. I pursued this further with Customer Service but without success. I cannot bake in this oven; cakes, breads brown and cook on top ... but the insides are raw. — The top burners are now turning dark black in the center of the burners. — The stove is definitely defective but Sears even after several phone calls and visits to the store, refused to offer any resolution. I've been a customer...

I bake every other day and had a range prior to this one without a convection feature- what a difference! — I make our own pizza dough and our pizzas are spectacular with this range. The time to bake is shortened and the crusts are a gorgeous brown and wonderfully moist on the inside. The oven comes with a proofing option, so I no longer have doughs that fail because of the weather- it's fool proof. The oven also offers a dehydration option, roasting, broiling, normal baking, ect. You get two lights and nice window to view your product without need to open the door. The oven also came with a thermometer and you can control the temperature on meats as you please and if medium rare is your taste like ours, the oven delivers when it comes to the perfect temperature. I love the glass and the touch-screen. The burners are a dream with cast-iron grates. The power burner boils water in a little over a...

I have owned this electric range for 15 months (AFTER the one year warranty, of course), when I began having problems with the electrical display buttons. One of the burners would sometimes come on, and would sometimes not come on, no matter what I did in regard to pushing the button - nothing would show on the display. Randomly, I would have problems with that one burner working or not working. Then one day the oven would not come on at all. I called LG, who said there were no service people in my area, and I could contact someone here, who could contact them, to discuss repairs and costs. Some parts were still under warranty, but not labor costs. A local service repairman came and fixed the problem - something about wires coming loose in the back. A few days later the burner did not come on again, and then did. So I am back to the same problem - although the oven has worked properly thus far. Needless to say, I was...

I have 2 homes and the 2nd home is just a winter home where we stay for just a few months...so we don't put a lot of money into it. Anyhow my old stove that was here went kaput so my husband and I went to Lowe's to fins another cheep stove. — You do get what you pay for...this stove looked nice enough, nothing fancy, just an ordinary stove. Or so I thought. — The one gripe that I have is that when using the oven the door gets very hot...Do not touch the oven door when the oven is in use! — Often times while cooking my youngest daughter will come in and see what I'm doing. She likes to touch things to see if they are hot. I touch it first to be sure she won't get hurt before telling her to feel something. Well once while cooking something in the oven she came up and wanted to touch the door, I touched it first to see if it was OK (our other oven is very well insulated and not even warm to the touch when in use) it was way too hot for her to touch so I had to give...

The new glass top range is wonderful when it comes to cleaning. No more brillo pad type cleaning of coils or aluminum foil. I do regret that small burners are located in the back and large burners are located in the front. This brand does not have a middle burner as some models do. I recommend if you are purchasing a glass top stove that you have at least one small burner in the front otherwise it can be difficult and clumsy to reach back for one pot on the back. The cleaning of the glass top is super easy with available cleaners. Burned on crust comes off very easily and that is a real treat after scrubbing baked on coils for many years. Watch for design that is convenient for you. —...
