jstapp101405 says "The Cuisinart Custom 14 is by far my favorite food processor." about Cuisinart Custom 14

I love to cook and spend a lot of time in the kitchen. I wanted a good quality food processor, and I found that in the Cuisinart Custom 14.

This food processor is easy to use and easy to clean. I give it a quick rinse in the sink and then pop it right in the dishwasher.

The base is a bit heavy and I wish there were cord storage.

The 14 cup bowl size is big enough for just about anything I want to make. It's great for making lots of pie crusts to freeze, or large batches of whatever's on your menu. It does just as good a job on small batches.

The blades are easy to switch and use. I didn't need it, but there is a DVD (and a recipe selection) included that teaches you the ins and outs of the Cuisinart Custom 14.

The feed tube is large and very safe to use.

It's great for shredding and slicing.

I use this item quite frequently, so I keep it out on the counter, but if you were looking to store it in a cabinet between uses, it is a bit large.

I would definitely recommend this for anyone who...
...

fosed says "Great for someone who cooks small quantites." about Cuisinart Mini-Prep Processor DLC-1

I live alone; so I have to be very careful to prepare small quantities that I can consume without spoiling. I also watch my weight carefully and that's another reason to limit the amount prepared. This small cuisinart is perfect. I am not tempted to fix a lot of anything; because it just won't hold it. The instruction booklet came with some wonderful small quantity recipies. My favorite is banana frozen yogurt that is low in calories and good for me. However, I mainly use it to chop small quantities of seasonings like onions and green peppers. Another trick I've learned is to use for grinding coffee beans. It will handle a few at a time easily; so they're always freshly ground. It is very easy to take apart for cleaning and putting it back together is just as simple. Cooking is far from my favorite thing, and this appliance makes it so much easier. It prevents my making so many excuses to just survive on restaurant meals alone.
...

JKD says "The one kitchen appliance I can't live without. " about Kitchen Aid Food Processor - 12 Cups KFP750

If you don't have this food processor, you need it. This is a great kitchen tool. In fact, it's the only kitchen appliance I couldn't live without. I use it for just about everything. It comes with a variety of different blades. It chops, dices and slices. I use it constantly, whether a recipe calls for it or not. So will you.

One of it's best features, other than ease of use, is that it has the full-size bowl and then a smaller sized bowl that fits right into that one. This makes clean up so much easier depending on what you're making. I also just pop the bowl and attachment right into the dishwasher. Never had a problem yet.

I don't like things sitting on my kitchen counters, but if I had to, I'd leave this one sitting out. It's attractive, has great function and I use it on a very regular basis. I'd had it for several years now and it hasn't failed me yet. It will be getting a workout over the holidays, and I'm glad to have it. Add it to your Christmas list if it's not on there yet....
...

lucky1017 says "Great, easy to use" about Cuisinart DLC-2 Mini Prep Plus

As I have a full-size Cuisinart, I debated about buying a Cuisinart Mini-Prep Food Processor. However, I soon discovered that the Mini-Prep was ideal for chopping onions (without tears), making paté, chopped liver, and chutney. Soon I purchased a second plastic work bowl, so that when making paté I could use one for chopping lightly braised chicken livers, and the other for chopping onions and hard-cooked eggs. I do not recommend the Mini-Prep for grinding hard cheeses; I would use the plastic Zyliss rotary cheese grater instead. Also, I do not use the Mini-Prep for chopping or mincing herbs because it is too easy to bruise them; I use either a chef's knife or a rolling mincer, like the Pedrini Acciaio.

The Mini-Prep is very easy to use, and it has a strong pulsing action. You use it the same way that you would use the larger Cuisinart. After a brief pulsing, you use a small plastic spatula to scrape down the sides of the container and pulse again. The ingredients are always chopped uniformly....
...

Lisa7 says "The Cuisinart 4 Cup Mini-Prep Plus is Great for Making Baby Food" about Cuisinart 4 Cup Mini-Prep Plus

I already own a 7 cup Cuisinart food processor, but I wanted a smaller food processor for specifically making baby food for my daughter. I decided to purchase the Cuisinart 4 Cup Mini-Prep Plus, and I have not been sorry. I have been using it a couple times a week for the last 4 months, and I couldn't be happier. It's the perfect size for making batches of baby food. For such a small food processor it has a very strong motor. It does a great job of pureeing everything I've put into it. It's even done a good job of making mashed potatoes which can get pretty thick and stiff. I love how the lid has little holes in it for adding liquids while it's running, and it's super easy to clean up. The only problem I've run into is that occasionally some of the food I'm pureeing will work it's way up under the blade and out the center of the bowl, but that's usually only with certain foods like mashed potatoes or when I have the bowl loaded really full. Even when the food comes out...
...

I recently bought the Kitchen Aid Food Processor. It is a 12 cup size and the model is KFPW763. Serveral things lead me to choose this processor. First, I own a Kitchen Aid Mixer and have had it about 8 years without any problems. So I knew that it would be durable. The capacity was important to me; I have six kids and rarely make anything in a small quantity. I liked that it did come with a smaller work bowl for secondary ingredients. The storage case for parts really caught my eye since I love organization and knew it would ensure all the parts stayed together. I have used it many times since I purchased it this fall. I have used it for the usual puree of beans or for veggies but I have also found that when I am using my mixer that I turn to the processor for mixing some items and for getting other ingredients ready to add to the mixer. I wish that the processor came with the egg beater and a mixing paddle. I made frosting in it the other night since my mixer was full of cookie......

I absolutely love my KitchenAid Little Ultra Power Mini Chopper. It is a hand-me-down that needed a new plug. After some time with Mr. Fix-It-ALL, I had myself my very first food processor. I have a tiny galley-style kitchen with very little counter space so this tiny machine was perfect. The size may be small, but it is an incrediblyhefty machine! All parts and manuals came with the KitchenAid and everything must be over 15 years old. But everything works! Chopping nuts, shredding cheese, shredding carrots, chopping vegetables, making salsa/ hummus/ dips have all been successful! It provide a small bowl component to chop nuts. I find it doesn't really need the bowl component if you simply need a rough chop with some fine and some still in a chunk. I think the food processer can handle up to three cups. It's easy to clean and easy to store. The parts are easy to use for I never referenced the manual for any directions.
...

THE PURCHASE OF OUR CUISINART FOOD PROCESSOR WAS THE BEST PURCHASE OF THE SUMMER. WE GROW A GARDEN AND THE PROCESS OF PREPARING PEPPERS, TOMATOES AND ONIONS IS HARD WORK. THIS PROCESSOR MADE LIFE MUCH EASIER. NO MORE SORE HANDS FROM CHOPPING FOR DAYS ON END. THE EASE OF USE AND CLEANING IS A POSITIVE PLUS. I'D RECOMMEND THIS PROCESSOR TO ANYONE LOOKING TO PURCHASE ONE. This processor has many useful attachments which makes any task a breeze. STURDY AND MULTI USES UNLIKE MOST PROCESSORS THAT AHVE ONLY ONE OR TWO POSSIBLE SETTINGS. I USE THIS FOR EVERYDAY USES INCLUDING SHREDDING CHEESE. I CAN NOW GET RID OF ALOT OF KITCHEN HAND TOOLS BECAUSE THE CUISINART WILL DO ANYTHING YOU NEED. SLICE, DICE, MINCE, SLICE AND CHOP. WHAT MORE COULD ANYONE WHO WORKS IN THE KITCHEN NEED? NOTHING! WELL WORTH THE LITTLE EXTRA MONEY SPENT. TOP OF THE LINE PRODUCT FOR ALL THOSE WHO ENJOY WORKING IN THE KITCHEN.
...

The Kitchen Aid 16 quart food processor has made life significantly better for me! Tasks in the kitchen which were time consuming and laborious are now quickly and efficiently done: cheese grating, vegetable and fruit slicing for soups or pies, pastry making, parsley chopping in the added mini-bowl, pureeing, etc. I was reluctant to get one but received it for a gift and have been surprised how much help it is and how often I use it. Preparing family meals, especially for soups or pastry doughs, savory or sweet, is so much more quickly done. The motor seems very powerful and strong.

I have also been impressed with its sturdiness and the design and engineering of its parts. Specifically, how simply, and solidly its parts fit together, plus how easy it is to clean. There are no parts of the lid or bowl which cannot be easily reached with dish washing brush. All the parts are dish washer safe and can be just as readily tossed into the dish washer. The body of the machine is...
...

I have bought so many food processors that I've lost count. They always break quickly or don't work very well to start with. I finally tried Hamilton Beach and I'm so glad that I did! I've had it for several months now and it is still working great. I've never had any problems with it at all and I haven't managed to break it yet. That's a first. It is easy to use and easy to clean. The motor is less noisy than other processors too. It is big enough to handle my homemade salsa (I make several jars at one time) and small enough to hide away when I'm not using it. It chops, slices, grates, mixes and purees like a pro. I wouldn't trade it for another brand if you paid me. The best part of all is that it costs a lot less than other processors but does a better job than the very expensive ones. This is my favorite kitchen appliance because it saves me so much time and unnecessary effort. Oh, and it matches my kitchen too! What more could I ask for?
...

For several years we lived on a 32 foot sailboat with very limited storage space. A food processor, while not absolutely essential, is a great time and labor saver so, when I stumbled across this tiny appliance, I was determined to find room for it. While the capacity is only a cup and there is only one choice of blade, the chopper served my needs well enough that when we moved into a regular house, I continue to use it for all of those chopping needs. It will chop chicken for salad, grind nuts for baking, and has answered every call made upon it. The motor is sturdy enough that it doesn't bog down or stall, the blade is sharp, and the size compact enough to fit easily into a small space. Cleaning is a breeze either to hand wash or to tuck into a dishwasher. Although I now have room for a full size food processor, I don't see any reason to retire this handy device that has served me well for almost ten years.
...

I purchased my Cuisinart Food Processor and Blender 2 years ago because I wanted a blender and food processor with one unit. When kitchen space is a premium and you don't like clutter and 2 in 1 unit is the way to go.

The blender does a great job making shakes and smoothies for my family it grinds ice great and I love the fact that the blender is made of glass for easy and sterile cleanability. The only thing I would change is how the buttons work by leaving it on then pulsing or just leaving on sometimes is confusing for me when I get in a hurry and forget which buttons I've pushed.

The food processing unit does a great job chopping and grating foods. It is a little weak on slicing foods like tomatoes. It would be nice if the processor was a little bigger so it could hold more but I understand it has to be compatible with the unit itself.

My Mother has used Cuisinart for 40+ years and she was right. Cuisinart makes a wonderful product and I'm glad I purchased my Food Processor/Blender...
...

this little machine is my new best friend. i've moved into a smaller apartment and don't have the counter space i've been used to for so long, so the big, bulky processors were out of the question. also, i'm a vegetarian and cook only for myself.

i like to do research before making a purchase (tipping my wig to the interwebs) and after reading so many reviews that my eyes were starting to cross, i settled on this little black & decker one-touch chopper model EHC650. it has two speeds; fast and quite a bit faster. due to its size and capacity, there are, naturally, certain things one would be wise to not try with it. crushing ice, for example, is not advisable. but it's excellent for chopping vegetables, blending small amounts of sauces or spreads, etc. i've even made hummus with it.

there's a removable plastic bottom that doubles as a cover for the bowl if you need to store what you've processed. the bowl and blade are easy to clean. the chopper top/motor can't...
...

I had the Pampered Chef chopper and thought that was the best - NO WAY! I found the best investment ever. It is the Vidalia Onion Chopper - holy moly. Not only is it great for onions, but you can pretty much chop every fruit and veggie in this gadget. Easy cleaning too - either pop in the dishwasher or in the kitchen sink. There are two grids for sizing - small or medium. I use this for everything. When I make salads (i.e., potatoes, eggs, onions, etc.), or cutting veggies, soups, etc. This is the best time consuming product ever made for helping cut back on time and space. I have one chopper that helps me with everything.

I bought this product at Linens & Things for $19.95 and had a $5.00 off coupon making my investment $14.95 - what a great savings for me and my family!

I would recommend this to a friend and have to many!
...

Caprig says "If They Made The Blades Better It Would Be PERFECT" about KitchenAid KPFP850OB 16 Cups Food Processor

As a family who grows very large gardens, we have had years of practice at food preserving. Whether it is soups, tomato frozen sauces (uncooked), grape jam, salsas (raw frozen), gosh, you name it- we have probably tried it when it comes to vegetables and fruits.

When our Cuisinart began to crack (you know, that uncrackable lexan that it used to be sold as), I got so frustrated with Cuisinart that we decided to purchase a large capacity Kitchen Aid after months of research.

Here is a brief overview of what the Cuisinart KPFP850 consists of

WHAT IS THE CUISINART KPFP850 PRO LINE FOOD PROCESSOR LIKE?

What sold us on this food processor was its set up. Here is what comes with this package:

950 watt metal base (heavy, total unit weighs 32 lbs)

Wide mouth high capacity polycarbonate bowl and top (16 cup)

mini prep bowl with mini blades for small jobs (4.5 cups)

13 cup chefs bowl for sliced or shredded veggies in large amounts like salad

2 piece feeding tube- can use while running by taking...

...

Sarahtoes21 says "I love my Cuisinart Food Processor" about Cuisinart Food Processor

I love to be in the kitchen cooking. I love to try new and different recipes. And I LOVE my Cuisinart Food Processor is fantastic. It makes being in the kitchen more fun, because in stead of working with a processor that doesn't work properly, or even worse not having a processor, it make like a champ. It has different attachments so you can chop, shred or slice just about anything you can imagine. The attachments are very easy to change out and everything, but the base in dishwasher safe, which is a big plus in my book. It was a pulse button so when you are chopping things it's very easy to make sure that everything comes and uniform and the size you want. It's fairly expensive, but it's worth every penny. You have to remember that you are paying for the quality and durability of a Cuisinart Food Processor. I've owned mine going on 4 years and I know people that are going on 10 years with there, so it truely is a kitchen investment.
...

this food processor is great for canning season. i use it to puree my tomatoes for spaghetti sauce, tomato soup, tomato sauce, pumpkin, and MANY other uses as well. It sits on my counter at all times. it is very easy to take apart and put together. it is great for whole foods and matches the color of my coffee pot and microwave (black). my sister gave this to me last christmas...best christmas present i ever got. it has rubber stoppers on the bottom so it does not slide all over the counter when i am working. i also like to use it for making pesto and other homemade sauces. i am getting ready to make and can applesauce..i can not wait to use this food processor to put the apples through. it makes canning fun! the cleanup is also very easy. making soups is also great with the food processor. my kids love cream of broccoli soup and potato with leek soup but i put it through the food processor and it really makes the soups thick and creamy. the kids do not...
...

I have been on a vegan-vegetarian diet for over a year now and needed a solid good food processor that could chop, grind and pulse nuts, dry fruit, and vegetables. I have found that the Black & Decker Quick 'N Easy Plus Food Processor were adequate enough to suit my needs. This food processor chops and grinds pecans, walnuts and almonds with no problem at all. However it has been my experience that when I begin to chop dry fruit such as apricots i find that the blade sometimes sticks and becomes someone hard for me to get the blade out of the cointainer. The Black & Decker Quick "N Easy plus Food Processor is good at chopping down ice but I find that when I try to make smoothies it sometimes stops before the smoothie is blended to my satisfaction and when it stops I have to agian stick my hand inside the food processor very carefully becaus i really do not wish to get cut and then have to got to a hospital because currently I do not have any insurance.
...
